After talking with some of the volunteers, I found out that they are raising money to support food pantries around Indianapolis as well as grow produce to deliver to underserved communities. So incredible! They take donations as well :) The plant sale had live music and Tinker coffee available too. So so cute! I would love to volunteer here sometime. The atmosphere of this landscaping center is what drew us in. It also doesn't hurt that it's a stone throw from Traders Point Creamery for ice cream after. ;) We popped in to see what spring selections they had available to kickstart our bushes, vegetables and more. We were a few days ahead of some shipments coming in so we weren't able to find too much quite yet. It was still an enjoyable visit to see the earlier blooms and how everything is laid out. The only thing that held it up from a fifth star was we felt like the staff was withholding or not taking us seriously when we were asking for interest in ordering a magnolia tree. We were asking for price ranges and they wouldn't seem to give it to us even though we understood that they didn't have them available currently or that they may need to look it up. I can't help but feel like I thought we wouldn't be able to afford it or something of that nature. Otherwise, a not so bad experience. You will find everything from wind chimes, tropical plants, fairly mature trees, and birdseed here.

Inside you'll find an impressive amount of plants for the size of the place. They make great use of the space, utilizing tall shelves and hanging plants to fit more inside. There was a good variety of plant types, too, and I definitely wanted to grab handfuls! It was nice to see signs labeling plants as good for low light to help you choose based on your home environment! The price points are very fair. I noticed $5 succulents, some $10 plants, a $25 one, a few more expensive, etc. They even had a container of discounted $1 succulents! There are also bags of soil for sale, that seem to be a blend (I think made by or sourced for the Collective?) I'd be interested to learn more about them next time I stop by. I ended up buying an adorable $5 succulent and two of the $1 ones. Next time, I'll have my eyes on some of the house plants. There are some lovely ones on their shelves! Obviously I had to make my way in. Matt was taking care of the shop that day and immediately greeted me and asked me what I was looking for. I'm the kind of person that doesn't really know plants, I just like them and try to keep them alive. I kind of looked around on my own but heart him talking to a couple about best watering and lighting conditions for what they needed. I liked that the shop was arranged by lighting needs. I went to the section of low light plants and chose a begonia. When I checked out Matt gave me recommendations on taking care of it. He also gave me a punch card. I believe it's buy 5, and then you get 50% off your 6th. I will definitely be back when I need to fulfill my plant impulses!

As with other closeout stores, their stock is limited to what they get access to, which makes it a new experience each trip. Some of their selections included food, books, beauty, household and electronics. Sign up for the shoppers rewards for additional savings. The register aisle featured a Mars candy closeout, so I grabbed some gum and a M&Ms sharing size for the plane trip home.

The cashier kindly asked for a price check and the woman who came to the register to answer us, I can only assume she was management, was very rude and dismissive about it being the other size and only one bin and not the other as she walked away. Treat your customers as if you would like them to come back there are other stores to shop.
