Even at midday Tuesday, the lot was filled with folks selecting from the annuals, perennials, and vegetable plants from the numerous greenhouses on the campus. There is a limited parking lot that is located by the front greenhouse which also serves as the checkout center. A driveway on the north of the building is the one to pull into and allows you to head along the rest of the buildings where you can park by pulling into the angle parking or using the larger lot near the rear. (Note that there is a small drive between two buildings that allows you to turn to the south drive to exit.) There are flatbed wagons that you can use to load your plant selections on while you browse through the sheds. If you are getting more than one of an item, you can make use of the plastic shipping trays to load your choices so that they are less likely to fall off your cart. Generally speaking, you will find veggies to the north of the first shed, perennials in the next few, and annuals towards the rear. The plants we have purchased over the years have looked very healthy and well cared for. The staff is generally helpful in finding a specific type of plant, but even they can be stumped sometimes and may need to ask one of their coworkers. Still, they have good teamwork and are willing to help you find what you want. All in all, a nice selection of plants. Not the cheapest around, but they seem to be in better condition than what I've found at the big box stores. They also seem to have a better selection too! Review #2543

Linda did an amazing job with the flowers for my wedding down in Bloomington! I had her special order Picasso Calla Lilies and arrange all of the boutonnières for family members. She also put together three lovely terrariums for the tables at the wedding, as well as some greenery for our wedding cake. The arrangements were gorgeous and so was her farm. Just two things to consider: she does not deliver, so it made it a little more difficult to get the arrangements before the wedding. While she is only 20 minutes outside of Bloomington, it wasn't on the way to our venue. I knew my parents would love to see the farm, so that made it worthwhile for me. The other thing is that she has two (adorable) dogs that will greet you when you arrive. I LOVE dogs, but don't care for them to jump on me with muddy paws. . . ;) When we went to pick up the wedding flowers, the dogs jumped onto the side of my newly-washed vehicle and left mud marks & scratches on my car. I had my car washed again and the marks from the dogs are still there. Not the end of the world, but not fabulous either. If I were throwing an event in Bloomington, I would definitely hire her again!

We were asking for price ranges and they wouldn't seem to give it to us even though we understood that they didn't have them available currently or that they may need to look it up. I can't help but feel like I thought we wouldn't be able to afford it or something of that nature. Otherwise, a not so bad experience. In the back are lots of types of mulch to choose from and along the east side of the parking lot, plenty of stone for landscaping to look over too. Inside the multi level sheds, the experience was similar to browsing most plant centers and hardware stores. Help was available, but left customers to browse unless approached. My wife had something in mind and though they didn't carry it there, one of the staff mentioned another business a couple miles away that might be able to help. I like businesses helping each other especially local owned places. My wife also got some ideas for our sun room inspired by some of the items they had on hand. I have to admit for being a big box store, they were clean and had a wide variety of items to browse through. During the week, there weren't a lot of staff on hand, but the one who helped us was really good. My wife had a return to make and one thing keeping this place from getting a higher rating was that there was no signage indicating where customer service/returns were located. None of the cashier aisles had anyone there when we entered. We browsed a little and my wife spotted a gal who was stocking inventory (loads of seasonal stuff was filling the shelves). The employee immediately stopped stocking and directed my wife to the second cashier spot and she opened the spot and processed the returned item with a simple review of the receipt to confirm it was purchased there and the price to be refunded. In about a minute, my wife was refunded her money. My wife also asked if they carried some artificial plants and where would she find them. The clerk pointed in the general directions and then gave some verbal direction to help find the specific items. Unfortunately, they had similar stuff to what my wife wanted, but not exactly. But that wasn't the clerk's fault. Prices seemed reasonable and the quality of the items I picked up seemed good too.
