Sooooooo....a few weeks ago my microwave decided to break. Just like that. Kaput. I didn't put tinfoil inside or hit it with a baseball bat or anything like that. It was during the memorial day sales, so I started pricing different units. I found the one I liked (that was in my budget) and started to order it...but a friend told me to check out Lowe's and their sale. So I did. And I discovered they had the same unit. And once I added the installation fee, they were $200 less expensive than the other businesses. I even called the other businesses to double-check the model number. Yep....same size weight model color....same. So I ordered it from Lowe's. In the past id had trouble with Lowes installation company - not responsive, messy, late, missing parts, etc. But I'd decided I was going to stay on top of the I stallation crew and make sure all went smoothly. Well, guess what. Lowes in Hurst has a new installation contract company and they are AWESOME. They set an appointment with me with a 2 hour window. They showed up on the dot of the beginning of the time window. They were friendly. They were clean. They had all of their tools. They explained the new microwave to me and showed me how it works. They did everything expected of a great installation. They also hauled out the old convection microwave, and cleaned up. Yes! Cleaned up! We ordered a dish washer online. It took weeks to arrive. We also paid for removal and install of the dishwasher. When the delivery person got here, he refused to remove the old dishwasher and install the new dishwasher because we have no disconnected the old one. Which was never expressed to us or mentioned that it needed to happen at any time of the purchase and scheduled delivery. Called the store to understand wtf was going on. The manager acted like a complete a-hole and refused to help us. What the hell is this? You expect the elderly to disconnect and move a dish washer? You are telling me that your employee can INSTALL a dishwasher, but doesn't know how to disconnect one? This is bs. The manager is an absolute idiot. We will NEVER shop at Lowes because of this idiotic experience. HOW IN THE HELL ARE WE TO KNOW OR HAVE THE TOOLS TO DISCONNECT A DISHWASHER?!?! Idiot manager said he could have someone out in 2 weeks to install. 2 f'ing weeks!!! He is useless as was ordering the dishwasher online. Lousy service! I ordered a replacement toilet from Lowes website and it was delivered in 2 boxes. The plumber opened the big box and the bowl was broken. I took it back to this location and they said they needed both boxes to do the exchange. I went back later yesterday with both boxes and they said I needed to contact the 3rd party that sold THEM the toilet and it was not their problem. The on duty manager Sunday 2/8 was no help telling me it was "not their problem". I reloaded the parts (110 pounds) back in my car and went to the Lowes in Grapevine. They said the Manager at Hurst just "did not want to do the paperwork and it looked like they were just lazy there." One star is generous. This is the third time my family has experienced discriminatory treatment at this location. Today, my wife was purchasing wood and storm-prep supplies. An employee asked if she needed help and wife said no. The employee than asked to verify that the wood in her cart had been paid for. The issue is that the wood is located outside, and customer are required to come inside to pay for it. So there was no valid reason for the assumption..This interaction made my wife feel targeted and disrespected. At this point, it feels like a pattern rather than an isolated incident. Asked him for help with loading mulch in to my cart but he just looked at me, looked at the mulch, then walked off. Also have been wanting to ease into old age by working smarter on the smokers. Been looking to switch to a pellet smoker for a while. Now the even have wifi with a phone app so you can adjust the temp from beddybye at 3 a.m. on the long haul to low n slow brisket heaven. Welp. Was I in luck. I wanted one roughly 650 sq inches of cook surface, that will also sear a steak. Too cheap yo buy a Traeger, but Pit Boss has really come up. Went to lowes on a paint run with my big brother. Just thought I'd saunter casually by the grills to peek. My sons were going to get me one in August for my birthday. I told them wait until winter. Well today was my winter. They sell the Pit Boss with 700 sq inches cook surface, temp controls with auto cut off, no wifi dohickey, 21 pound pellet hopper, $398.00. Employee in the lawn &garden was Johnnie on the spot to help me. Told me all about his smokers, which pellet smoker of his 3 he prefers for which meats he's smoking. Made me feel like a rookie. He showed me to an open box floor model, last in stock, $198.00. A steal. I've looked at this one for over a year and 1/2. I know this one well because I got rid of one of mine to make room but just never pulled the lever on buying one. Well, he said maybe wait till winter, or he could put a sticker on it saying sold. I had him put a sticker so I could pick up later. Got it home. It came with a nice cover, cookbook, and instructions. Pellets now come flavored. Garlic and paprika? Im. Nope. I'm good at marinating and making my own rubs. Sticking to either Mesquite, pecan, apple, or hickory, and time. With this smoker, a 12 hr. session will only need one refill of wood for a brisket at 250°. No more marching out to add wood every hour for 12 hrs to keep the fire at a perfect temp. Now when it hits 185° internal, wrap it in butcher paper to ride off until 204°. No more guessing and stressing. I'll take snaps when I christen it. As always. Feel truly loved. Even if you don't know you are, or have anyone to tell you, the world has free radical atoms of energetic love just floating around. Some of us have so much in us, it leaks out and is out there bouncing around. Step into it. Enjoy it. So kudos to the team member who finally assisted us to the best of her ability after being on hold for 18 minutes. Of course we were send to the installation department who after being transferred all over the place told us to go into the store for assistance. So here's my issue with this location. In 2019 we had three installs on a property we own. All three of the installs were unacceptable. The fence had a big hole in the gate which they never did correct. The cabinets were not installed correctly as they were not level and the installer had to come back out to correct, twice. Then the granite counter top had a seam in it that I questioned about it holding up and was assured it was fine. Well guess what...it's not fine. The seam is separating and needs to be repaired. Oh and put your shock face on...ready...the warranty is only for one year. So I guess the plan is, do just good enough to get beyond the warranty and then screw the customer. Shouldn't a granite countertop last more than two and a half years? I guess not if you buy it from Lowes. We have used Lowes several times on several properties throughout the past 10 years because Lowes always took care of ensuring their contractors did what they are supposed to. Evidently this doesn't apply anymore. Lowes service is a race to get to the bottom. They're winning! Don't worry Lowes, we won't make the mistake of using you again. read more

When ordering something online they will not provide you with a service plan information pack ( although when I got there, they were several behind the customer service desk ) I purchase one and I needed to know how to contact someone on the service plan. Should I have issues? No one at the store could provide me that or would they answer the phone After I call multiple times Lowes please do better. I finally went to the store to return the item, and there was a problem with giving me a refund on the service policy. It seems that no one knows how to operate the registers or the manager would not even come to the service desk once I asked for him he just told this customer service person to call appliances. I recentry purchased an oven and was having it installed. I ordered it late Sept. The oven arrived on Oct 14 and it sat at Lowe's until Oct 21 when they finally installed it. I had called numerous times to find out when they were going to come and install it and they kept saying someone will contact me. They didn't contact me until the day Prior to installation date. Historically Lowe's has been the "go to" store for all things related to home construction and repair. Conveniently located in a variety of locations around the DFW metroplex, you could find just about anything you needed at a reasonable price. In addition the store's staff were readily accessible, knowledgable and very helpful. That was then, this is now. In today's version of your local neighborhood Lowe's you are hard pressed to find a Lowe's associate and once you do, most are very young and have no clue (... nothing against youth). Worse yet, the store managers, if you can find one, are no better and clearly in need of customer service training. To be fair, I'm sure Lowe's has many dedicated and experienced staff. Unfortunately as time goes by they seem to be few and far between. My recent frustrating experience with our local Hurst location is why Lowe's is unlikely to survive in today's growing on-line retail market. When the local manager was unwilling to sell me 4 fluorescent light bulbs because they only had "contractor pack" of 12 bulb, he suggested I try another Lowe's location. The obvious question is WHY- when Home Depot is across the street from Lowe's! Better yet, Amazon sells the same flourescent light bulbs at a cheaper price and offers free delivery. Kevin in the paint section was a huge help and took extra time to share tips and tricks with us and make sure that we had everything needed for our project and explained how to clean the tools properly to make them last longer. I always enjoy Lowe's. Sometimes the people at the paint counter seem like they don't really know what they're doing and it takes forever to get what you ask for, but other than that I find the staff to be helpful and friendly. Today we needed a bunch of different things: flowers for outside, an indoor plant, door hinges and some drawer handles, a specific paint, extra rollers, liquid nails... Everything was easy to find and the prices are great, there's so much variety for each product (like a zillion different types of liquid nails), so you can always find a price point you're happy with. And when we asked the dude in the garden department where the citrus plant fertilizer spikes were, he knew just where to direct us. Nice. All in all another typically enjoyable trip to Lowe's. read more

I came here because I needed a refrigerator filter for my 6 month old refrigerator and wouldn't you know it, I forgot the paper where I wrote down the filter I needed. No problem, the employee looked up my transaction in the computer and walked me over the filters and handed me the one I needed. I also wanted a respirator mask for a project I am working on at home. Try finding one of those right now. Once again, no problem. The guy in the paint area walked me over to another area of the store where he knew they might have them and there they were! This review is specifically for the delivery of appliances that I purchased from this Lowe's location. The first day I was supposed to receive the appliances, the delivery manager, from 10 AM until 8 PM, kept insisting they would come to the house and they never did. Nor did they call to reschedule. I had to go to the store in person and find someone who ended up being helpful (the person in kitchen remodeling) to reschedule because I could not get in touch with anyone over the phone. On the rescheduled delivery, the driver had heavy alcohol on his breadth and dropped one of the appliances. For one appliance, I ended up going with the HD across the street and had the opposite delivery experience. Locally, I would stick with HD for appliances. read more

From genuine kindness, expertise, and passion Kevin provided me with a level 10/10 service. I love coming into a home improvement store and actually getting help. We came in to buy a dishwasher. There were multiple brands. The guy that helped us this week (we came in 3 times this week and he was there each time). No pressure sales I might add. The first couple of times we told him we were just looking and not deciding. Tonight -we had decided -kind of. The guy (will edit to add his name after I ask the hubby) did answer our questions, pulled up more info for me on his phone and compared for me the two models I was looking at. He even took lots of time to discuss delivery date issues I had and was very patient. He had a good talk with my hubby about a robot vacuum cleaner and some other "clearance" items. We also had to look at doors and the guy in the door section was Super Helpful too!!! I enjoy coming to Lowe's because there are always sales, good deals, lower prices and checkers that are up front to check you out! Downside -not a large selection of shop vac filters -they only sell two types and not the kind we need so unfortunately we have to go to the other place to get a filter now. However -we try our best to only spend our $ at Lowe's! read more

This was by far the worst experience we've had here. DO NOT USE THEIR ORDER PUCK UP SERVICE. We waited for almost forty minutes (the only reason is because the app and the kid inside said it would be right out) only to see a handicap person pull up next to us and what seems to be the same thing happening to him. Finally, we walk In, ask what's going on and this very unprofessional kid says well there is nobody working order pick up. HE seems annoyed with US. It was the same kid on the phone that said the item would be right out over thirty minutes prior just standing there. We just ask for it and let him know there was a handicap man sitting out there doing the same thing we just did!! (So he didn't have to wait, HOPEFULLY!!!h He hands us our item, no sorry, no hey, I'll fix that issue.... NOTHING. He couldn't have cared LESS about his job. There are thousands of people that would probably love his job and act like he at least cares about the business he is representing and at the very least, the customer. Employee came brought product to vehicle in basket didn't say a word just left the basket with product by the vehicle and left. I give them 5 stars for being dog friendly. The rest has been hit or miss. I have stopped by 5 times in the past couple weeks trying to get a door replaced that matches my other doors. Some employees have gone above and beyond and some were useless. 1 star for the the guy who came out and measured my door. He gave measurements of 32X82 with actual measurements of 311/2 X 82. That is crack. I measured 30 X 80 and was accurate per my handyman who ended up doing the install. I payed 35.00 for the Lowe's guy to miss measure what I accurately measured. Had I had Lowes do the install it would have been refunded. But, still he should have known 31 1/2 is not standard nor is 82. I know that much. read more

I feel I was ripped off by Lowe's installers when they came out to install my new toilet. I prepaid for the installation and the delivery. When they pulled the toilet they said the toilet flange would need to be replaced as well. And I thought that is what a new toilet installation included, a flange. The contractor would not let me go buy the 30 dollar part and said he could not wait. He did not have this part either and ended up going to, where????! LOWES around the corner to buy the part and then proceeded to charge me 185.00 to install it. So I paid as much for the part as I did for the entire installation. So, don't believe a low installation price. You will be charged DOUBLE if they have to replace the toilet flange, which is standard with some companies. I call total BS and Dr. Plumber, shame on you as well. read more

This review is for the Loew's off Davis in North Richland Hills. I shop there all the time usually with good results. This past Saturday was terrible. Hard to find available employees to help. Finally asked a lady in Loews vest who simply told me she couldn't help, ask someone else. Asked another person to call for someone to help me in specific department (which he did) and no one showed up after a long wait. Walked around the store trying to find someone to help and was either told "can't help you, or extended wait for no show. This store has gone down hill. I went to the Hurst store on Saturday afternoon. Had a sign the said sanitized carts inside to which there were no carts inside and no one sanitizing anything. With no cart I went and gathered the stuff I wanted which included wood. carried it in my arms to checkout which was about 12 people deep. After 30 minutes of waiting in line i finally reach the counter. The cashier rings up my items and I swipe my debit card and it does not work. So I swiped it 2 more times and then the cashier tells me they are having problems and I just need to keep trying. after 2 more times he tells me I can go to an ATM and come back. I said uhh no and I am going to Home Depot. i was in and out at Home Depot in 10 minutes. In these times to make woolens stand in line that long and not warn them they could only except cash is unacceptable. I have always preferred Lowe's because I find what I need and like their layout more than Home Depot but may not anymore. read more

I placed an online order to avoid crowds and comply with social distancing. I received an email that the Order was ready, but they couldn't find it. So long story short, I couldn't have picked up my stuff from the aisles in 15 minutes but it took 45 minutes and being exposed to more and more people and checker handling my credit card and driver's license -- then they told me to drive up and they brought order to car!?! Why can't I just order and pay online and call and they bring order to car? That would help with the social distancing. This was a mess. People /staff were fine- system is awful and I won't order again until this system HELPS Social Distancing instead of helping the spread of the virus! Then I tried to offer them feedback directly and chat was an option. Wrote the above and received text back that chat was unavailable - to call. Wait time on call was ridiculous.
