If you need to get hammered or nails or a barbecue grill or a lawnmower or if you need more wood or possibly even some paint, Lowes probably has what you're looking for. Plus they give a military discount that's awesome for those veterans that did their service for their country. Way to go. read more

I went to this Lowe's on Wednesday looking for a half sheet of plywood. I was directed to an aisle but did not find any half sheets (4' x 4'). I was told that someone would be right there to help me but 15 minutes later I left. I called the store to ask about the half sheets on Friday and was told that they did have them but that thy were in a different aisle from the one I was originally directed to. So later that day I went back to make my purchase only to be told that Lowe's doesn't sll half sheets. I was told that they could cut one in half for me but that I'd be paying for two half sheets! They were a disappointment and wasted my time. Never again!!! read more

Very clean location. Lowe's has a large variety for all trades. We went in for a few very specific items and were able to get the assistance we needed from a fee associates to find it. Everyone was very friendly to us and we had no issues. One of the associates, who asked if we needed help, did not know where the item was we were looking for, but took us to an employee that was knowledge on that item and told us exactly where to find it. This is a good hardware store that covers many needs and from what I saw the prices were reasonable. I would visit again. read more

Good morning . My experience with Maytag and its partner Lowe's home improvement center especially the highland , New York location has been one of if not the worst customer service of my life. Here we are on March 24th, which is over 6 weeks ago and we still do not have a working dryer because of your companies lack of customer severice and pure ignorance. Neither your company or Lowe's can actually follow through on what you have promised and stood behind there products and it's extremely disappointing to have to Continue to waste my time trying to reach either company to resolve it. I will never recommend either company and I write daily reviews on social media platforms expressing my displeasure with both your company and Lowe's home improvement center letting people know your customer service is atrocious and your products are sub par . I will never buy another one of yours ever again nor will I shop at Lowe's home improvement center especially the highland location going forward and anyone else in circle will do the same. It's not just the product was bad but to call and just look for a simple call back especially when you ask to speak to management speaks volumes to what you both truly stand for. This is just a sign of how bad Customer service truly is these days and your company is at the top of that decline . FYI NEITHER ONE OF THESE COMPANIES DESERVE EVEN 1-star ..awful just awful Customer service read more

Lots of parking here. My friend and I decided to go plant shopping since I was up in New Paltz visiting her. It was super quiet because we came on Easter. I'm surprised it was even open. She had to look for wire for a project and I got a golden pothos, which is thriving. Product placement here is good too. I found the little plant containers and fertilizers/new plant seeds that I wanted to start my summer vegetable garden. There were so many house plants to choose from here. We weren't really offered any help, but I guess we looked like we knew what we were doing. Both my friend and I found what we needed. read more

The absolute worst service. Do not recommend using their carpet/flooring installation crew. We had an appointment scheduled from 1-4 on Friday with no call prior to the appointment. The crew shows up at 10:30. They contact me and I let them know my wife was 20 minutes away and they said they would wait. My wife shows up 15 minutes later and they've left and won't pick up the phone. I called Lowe's and they said that they "might call you back if they have time today". What a joke. We decided to cancel everything and go to a company that actually takes care of their customers. They need to realize people take off of work go around their schedule. Terrible service, Terrible experience. read more

I've been standing in an aisle for 20 minutes. No one will help us get a box from an overhead storage area. Everyone is passing the buck. Worst customer service ever. Hi read more

Absolutely horrendous customer service. Crystal, the Assistant manager, basically hung up on me when I called to ask about the return policy. She repeatedly told me "bye, bye, bye, go to Kingston, go to Kingston".... absolutely baffled by this level of unprofessionalism and saddened to know people are not being kinder in this time! read more

I like this Lowes although I'm not from the area. Went in to get some storage containers and was impressed with the selection. They carry 4 or 5 different brands including Ziploc containers which I liked the best. read more

I expected delivery of a new washing machine. After waiting at home all day, I received a phone call that they would NOT be delivering today. I lost a days pay and wasted my time. Unreliable! Use Home Depot. Update: the delivery guys did come, despite my notification that I was being put off. I will upgrade my rating to 2 1/2 - 3 stars. Delivery communication was poorly handled. Delivery guys were great. read more

They do an okay job for most projects, and highly recommenced over Home Depot. As long as you know what you're looking for and have done your research ahead of time, it's a great place to shop. All departments are most knowledgeable and very helpful with most projects read more

A few friends and I had to move a piece of furniture last minute and since Lowe's was open later and close to us we decided to check out their loaner truck. Upon entering at 6:45 we learned that the truck had to be returned at 8pm rather than their closing time which is 10pm... and that's understandable, but I still don't fully understand the logic. Apparently though, however, one of the people behind the desk told my friend the police would be called on us if the truck wasn't back by 8:15. When I heard that I decided to tell my friend it would be best to leave because even from the beginning it seemed like they didn't want to lend us the truck. I'd recommend going to Uhaul which we did and the process was much easier and little less aggressive. People behind the desk were nice enough but Lowe's appears to be very strict with a policy that isn't clearly stated. read more

If you need to purchase tile or flooring, definitely ask for Mike. I give him 5 stars but the problem comes when your items need to be delivered. I placed the $1000 tile order with Mike with my cell phone number. Somehow in Lowe's system, this phone number was not given to the delivery company. After waiting all day, we were told the delivery company was at our house but no one answered the house phone. We don't use our land line except in emergencies. Only use my cell. I had it with me, no calls. Never heard a truck. No one knocked or rang the bell. I was watching triplets but was situated, with my cell, to hear a doorbell, knock or call on my cell phone. Of course, after arguing with Brian, the delivery manager, we were told Lowes would try to get the company to return but was never called back. When we called the delivery company, my husband requested they come the next day at 6:30 when he would be home. Of course the next day we were notified they would be here between 10:30-12:30. This is no way to keep customers happy. If Lowes wants my biz, they should tweak their delivery program to highlight the phone number they are given from the customer for the delivery. Did not care for the run around and aggravation that ensued. read more

Poor customer service skills. The staff member was more concerned with taking his break then helping the customer. He literally left for lunch in the middle of helping me. Talk about rude. I come to pick up my email order after having both a phone confirmation with the 800 # and an email telling me I can pick up my order yet it's no where to be found. He was so lazy and nonchalant about looking of course he couldn't find it plus he had lunch on his mind only it was clear. I waited over 25 mins while another associate looked in the back. He never came back. Then I finally left and called the 800 number again on my way to dinner reservations to multitask after wasting time for the lax service at Lowe's. The store told the 800 lady they found my order after I left of course! lol. But I was not going back and made arrangements for my boyfriend to pick up the merchandise because I had not very nice things to say to the employees at this point. This all happens after Lowe's cancels my one item and never tells me til only one item shows up on my front porch. Their excuse was the phone number was incorrect, maybe it was but they sure had my email address right. No email to inform me only one of the two curtain rods were coming. Why would I only want one rod? They wouldn't match otherwise. No common sense or curtsey is what I experienced with this Lowe's. I was offered 10% off my next purchase but I deleted that email because I rather give my money to a company who appreciates my business and has better follow through. So take your own chances but don't say you were not warned. read more

I really like this Lowe's and am a frequent customer. They provide good customer service and I always feel comfortable shopping there. I ordered a washer/dryer a while back and although the original installer they were using wasn't too customer focused and was a bit rude, as soon as I let Lowe's know that I was not happy with this person they immediately addressed my concerns and rectified the situation. They installed the washer/dryer on time and the guys that did the installation were friendly and professional. I also really like the associates in the store. People approach you and ask if you need help and they all seem to go above and beyond. It seems like the people who work there really like their jobs and enjoy assisting the customers. Shopping there is a very positive experience and I prefer Lowe's to the other home improvement stores that are not too customer focused or helpful. read more

Be wary when shopping this location. Apparently, management does not properly train their employees about issues they should have knowledge of. We went in to order an air conditioner because there was no way to order online at home and get the 10% off veteran's discount. After being shuffled to different employees, we were told to go ahead and order it online at home, there is no online ordering in the store. We were then told to bring in the receipt and they would deduct the vet discount from the amount owed. Took the receipt in today and was told that they could/would not deduct the vet discount and that yes, you can order in the store online. An employee went to the manager to explain what had happened, and the manager would not honor the promise to deduct the discount. Don't think I'll be shopping at this location in the future since they don't stand behind what they promise. I'm not blaming the employees, this is an incompetent management issue. read more

Normal place ran out of hardwood pellets so we figured we would try out lowes. Terrible service so far. Waited couple of days after purchase to get call for delivery, and nothing, so we went to the brick and mortar to make an appointment for next week. Then coincidentally after returning home, wife gets the call that they can come the next day. Weird miscommunication, but sure why not. Delivery comes and they refuse to bring in pellets bag by bag (our normal place- "home and hearth" does this without even asking. So that's annoying, but ok, whatever. Then he scans over the entrance of the garage lip and says that might be a problem. I stay silent, as I'm thinking he was just talking to himself regarding getting forklift/pallet in. So he pulls up his huge forklift, which wouldn't be able to fit into garage, and tries to get the pallet in as deep as possible, but the weight leads to cracking the concrete lip of the garage door. I show the guy and he said manager will contact us. He calls the next morning (today) to tell us someone will come and take pictures. Two people come including the one that did the damage, and take a couple of shots on their phone then leave. Then later in the afternoon, manager calls my wife and says the guy warned us about the lip and I said "it's ok" (complete and utter lie) and my wife said I didn't say anything, so the guy offers 10% off the purchase so we can get some concrete and fix it. That's 10% off off the pellets only. Not including the terrible delivery service. So yea, thanks lowes, for the $28. Plus the hour loading the 40lb bags of pellets myself. Plus the time and labor in getting the concrete, then having to fix the damage myself before it starts to snow. Wretched. read more

We spend a lot here but occasionally the former manager would handle issues and returns without incident. Clearly there is change for the worse and customers like us who spend thousands should go elsewhere for more flexible policy. Today they saw fit to argue with us over $6 in commodity electrical outlet boxes. Really? The young girl at the desk copped an attitude. Then a manager came over and miraculously took a few more items than she. But alas cited the store managers policy and again left us walking out over a few dollars. So we went and checked the items and sure enough they were stocking items right there in their bulk bins in electric. Why stick it in your customer and then waste your time with a twist! Such poor service and a poor behavior. The store was not even busy. Last time Lowes let this happen our secretary had to write a letter to corporate. After much complaining corporate gave us $25 over a $12 commodity item return issue. The orange guys and the true guys would never waste their labors time arguing over such petty nonsense. I'll ask yelp to remove this review if lowes ever handles this issue. 2600902 Corporate has received a letter and is looking into the employee issues at the store. Update , another employee sees my side and credited me. You see, its not the company, it is the employee you get. That makes or breaks it. You can't blame a corporation for everything. Usually it's someone who caused the issue. Revised to 4 stars for the good thing their guy did. read more
