Shocking to me that Home Hardware only has 30 reviews (as of this date). I guess I'm a culprit…read morebecause I have been going here for several years and this is my first time for feedback! I'll say the major plus of Home Hardware is the staff and how knowledgeable they are. I was finally getting to clearing out my basement for finishing it and had to remove a sink, washer and dryer. This meant closing and sealing the gas pipe as well as four water supply lines. Silly me, I went in not having measured anything, hadn't disconnected anything yet, etc. And the gentleman behind the counter walked me throughout the store to find everything I needed, based in his experience, and provided some great recommendations. It was one trip and I had the hardware and knowledge I needed to take on some serious housework. Really grateful to have them in the community.

I do my best to support local business and it's easy with this one. You can buy what you want, in sensible quantities at a reasonable price. Spars me the trek to the big box "stress mess". Feb. 2026 - they may not have extra wide aisles and huge shopping carts…read more What they do have is a huge and varied inventory. Not just a "take it or leave it" feeling. It reminds me of an old-fashioned hardware store; where you didn't have to buy 100 nails, if you didn't need that many, Besides the expected tools and hardware, they also have gardening supplies, plant specific potting soils, and fertilizers. Charcoal and propane grills. Fireplace pellets, water softeners, and plenty of salt for the snow. They have a few toys for kids, and some culinary tools, the kind you'd expect in a place like Williams-Sonoma. The staff is available and will come over to offer assistance if needed. They also know what they're talking about. They're not glorified check out clerks. So you don't get some mumbo-jumbo answer because they don't know the answer! Someone mentioned that their prices seem high; they seem fairly reasonable to me. After I've found what I'm looking for; I enjoy wandering around the store just to see what's there. It's discovering novel items, or something you've been looking for, but couldn't find in the expected venues that's most enjoyable.
