My wife goes into the store. She had on a long winter coat. She's always cold. It's a medical condition. There are no inside pockets in that long winter coat that she wore open because then she started getting hot. She was overdressed, which happens to her when she goes into stores they don't have the air-conditioning set to 60. This was literally yesterday. She went out the day before and was freezing to death because of the windchill. She did not feel the need to explain this to the men that worked there. Unbelievable! She bought some batteries and was carrying them around the store. A man whose name we remember, we don't need to mention his name takes them away from her and says why don't you leave them on the counter? She she knew for sure that he thought she was some kind of thief because she was wearing a long winter coat. We all have weather whiplash. This man would not admit that he thought my wife was going to shop lift these batteries. She said she didn't see any sign saying do not carry merchandise around the store. She also did not notice any baskets one can carry the merchandise around it. Then the man continued to argue with my wife about how long the surge protector cord should be, and my wife kept saying what she wanted, and he kept arguing with her manslaining to her that she needed a long cord when she did not need a longer cord and we have very good reasons that we do not need a longer cord! My goodness! Prices are not cheap, they did not tell us the truth over the phone and then this happens. So not so happy;will avoid in future. Then she had to ask for a receipt. We hate that; a receipt should be given automatically.

Basic math told me that if plywood comes in 48x96" sheets that I'd need two cut down to 40x60 to make this work. Called Home Depot, they hung up on me. Ran down to their yard and had custom cut sheets in minutes. I sleep better now thanks to Melrose Lumber

The whole shade was cut in a messy, jagged manner. The stick at the bottom was also cut jaggedly and not secured, as shown in my picture. It was because of Mickey, Jeff, and the rest of their staff that I was able to incorporate wrought iron to the windows, doors, screen doors, railings, and steps of my home in The Bronx. Even gate surrounding the entire property. When it was all done. I stood there and cried. I had lived in that home since I was 11 yrs old, and never had it looked that magnificent. I was locked in my apartment one day after a delivery came. It was a Sunday afternoon and everyone was closed. The delivery person was locked in with us. I called Stargate and Lock, Mickey picked up; I told him my dilemma; he sent Jeff. We were out and with a new more secure lock in a matter of minutes. I highly recommend Stargate and lock to anyone in need of professional locksmith, iron construction, or simply hardware services.

I am doing some renovations in my Queens NY apartment that I've had for over 40 years. I needed to change out an old door because I wanted to change the way it opened - no longer wanting it to open into the room but instead to open into the hall to allow for more space in the spare bedroom. I spent days trying to find the right door for the space - checking places like Home Depot, Lowe's, boutique establishments, etc. Then I stumbled upon My City Door. The sales person I spoke with was Boris. He answered all my questions and really put me at ease. He even followed up with me the day after the service to confirm that all went well. The installer, Eugene, was awesome. He too put me at ease when I was switching out the old door. I had several questions, which he answered for me. He also put very thin special nails into the floor's wood sill. You can't even see them! After each step during the installation process, he vacuumed (with his own high-powered vacuum) and continuously checked the levels of the door and sides using a special machine with a green lighted beam. The results are amazing! It looks great and opens and closes easily and smoothly and feels very secure. If anyone feels anxious about replacing or adding a door to their home I would highly recommend using this company. The results looked the same as those that are displayed on their website. Five Stars or a 10 out of 10 only scratches the surface for their professionalism, courtesy and quality of their products. I'm one happy customer! Patryce
