BUYER BEWARE BUYER BEWARE!!! I paid for a garage door and installation 2 months ago. A Lowes installer came out to measure. I was told that I wouldn't receive a call to schedule until after the door arrives and is inspected for damage and to make sure that it is the correct size.(makes sense right?) I didn't receive a call after 5 weeks so I called Lowes, only to be told that I have to call AMAR, the installer. AMAR said" We have the door but we have to inspect it for damage and make sure its the right size." Three days later, AMAR called to schedule for the following Tuesday. On Tuesday I receive a call from an installer who said that the installer that was assigned to your installation didn't show up for work today so I took his jobs, BUT I don't know if I'm going to make it there today. WHAT??? He said "I'll call you this afternoon to tell you if I can make it." I waited around ALL DAY LONG FOR HIM. He calls at three o'clock to say he's on the way. PERFECT..... He gets there.....and guess what? He tells me that the door is damaged but he has some good news....What is that?? "I can expedite a new door to be delivered in one week."I was suspicious of this because it took over a month for the original door to arrive. After numerous calls to the store and cooperate offices, I still don't have a resolution. Nobody ever calls me back and Brian the manager wants to cancel my order because they cant get it right have absolutely no control over their installers. This is a SIMPLE garage door installation. We also had issues with delivery of our appliances. We told them at the time of sale that we wanted them all at once. Guess what?? One by one they arrived. Refrigerator one day,(wrong one) Range another day, dishwasher another day. LOWES OVER PROMISES AND UNDER DELIVERS, OR DOESN'T DELIVER AT ALL!!!! read more

I'm here a few days a week and love the convenience of the shop online and in store pick up , Lets me go in and out and off I go , the staff is the best weather it's cashiers or customer service desk or the people at the online order pick up everyone is outstanding , the staff of the floor is excellent and always helpful!! This is a general chain review. I'm not a fan of chains, but I have to give proper credit to Lowe's. For a huge chain, they have made a real effort to get a great selection of plants in. How great? Well, even though I'm a pro, there's a few annuals I can only find here. And, their prices are pretty good, too. I should give a few examples.... P. Allen Smith has marketed a line of Annuals through them. My fave is a Euphorbia called "Diamond Mist". It looks fabulous in a planter. Match it up with Scaveola to drape, and something big in the middle (I used a palm), and you have a great patio pot. Hard to kill, too. I can't get "Diamond Mist", from any of my wholesalers. I can get it at Lowe's, though. Just saying... P. Allen Smith does sort of creep me out. But, he's a great merchandiser for Lowe's. They carry the best thing to happen to Hydrangeas, ever. The Endless Summer Hydrangea. Blooms from May to whenever the hard frost hits. They sell it for about 1/2 of what Mahoney's charges. I'd recommend asking the help when they get plants in, and getting there, shortly after. Like Home Depot, the care of plants on site is kind of sketchy . Best to get things straight off the truck. The stock gets crazy depleted over the weekend, so go on Tuesday, or Thursday, I've found. If you need help, forget it. The staff knows nothing about plants. I usually end up dispensing knowledge like a Chinese Sage, whenever I go here. Happy to help, though. read more

Freezer in my fridge died. Bought a fridge from lowes. Supposed to be delivered Saturday. Get a call saying their system is down and wont be delivered until Sunday. Annoying but whatever. Sunday the driver said he could not get to my house because of an accident. Understandable. Was told by Lowes the driver will make a stop on the way back later that day. 5:00 I call lowes and they say he wont be making the delivery. Waited around all day for it would have rather they just told me straight he wasn't coming. Reschedule for the following Saturday and the fridge arrives dented on both sides and damaged. Needed to go back and have another delivery on Sunday. So basically my last two weekends have consisted of waiting around for deliveries. Been a nightmare and would not buy from Lowes again! read more

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. From the kitchen department to lumber. Rude, disinterested, unhelpful staff. 2 orders placed, both incomplete. Pre ordered lumber for pick up, the order was never pulled, my contractor waited for an hour and a half, while I was paying him. Ordered kitchen cabinets, delivered incomplete, I had to go to the store to question them, they were completely unaware of the back order. Went in today to have a piece of plywood cut. I guess it was too small, the associate refused to help me find what would suit my needs. You have lost my business Lowes. read more

Good selection but terrible customer service. I bought a dryer vent online last fall. I did not install it over the winter and when I went to install it last week I find that I bought the wrong kind. I brought it back to the store and they would not take it back even though it was in original box and they still sell the product. Apparently they have a 90 return policy. We asked for a manager, told him that we do thousands of dollars of business with Lowes every year ( we own multiple rental properties). He said that the company wants him to abide by the 90 day policy. Oh well, Home Depot will now get our thousands of dollars in business each year. BTW this is probably a $25 item. Don't really care about the money but I do care about the lack of customer service. So this week I had to buy all new appliances for a rental property. Spent $4k at Home Depot since Lowes would not let me return my $25 dryer vent. Lot's more of that in the future as I'm about to do a $300,000 addition on my home. I purchase a Primer stove for my mother 8/26/17 bought the protection plan 6 months lather the oven stop working! They Lowe's ended up giving me my money back. Went back to Lowe's purchase the same stove no one told the protection plan didn't carry over to the next stove!! 8 months later the oven went again. In between this time I received an protection plan renewal for $113.00 which was paid. Now the protection co & Lowe's are telling me there is nothing they can do for me because I can't find the original receipt or the date it was purchased. So I paid for protection for a stove that I didn't have anymore!! Nor myself or any member of my family will ever buy an appliance at Lowe's again! I will tell everyone shopping in there the story about my $850.00 stove. read more

Always loved Lowes and considering what's happening in the world, I am very happy that they offer curbside. Please whoever reads this review do not buy an appliance from Lowes in Danvers. I purchased a washer and dryer from Lowes along with a stacking kit. They didn't stack my appliances and said they didn't have any more stacking kits after he grabbed one off the shelf. They came and Delivered it and said they couldn't hook ip the washer and that i need a plumber to replace. the hook up. They left the appliances in the middle my living room and left. You could tell that they didn't want to put them in . I called the plumber and he said that it really wasn't necessary to change that part. I called the store manager he wouldn't get on the phone the assistant . mgr. hung up on me and an employee gave me a false name. They also kept messing up the time the were coming back to install so this girl Kelly who is in charge of that department said she would said me a gift card for the hassle. You guessed it. She never sent it. Well you know what rolls down hill. When your managers act like fools what do you expect from employees. Time to restaff. read more

Typical Lowe's, never had a problem finding stuff and I think it beats the one in Malden on Rt 99, both of which beat any area Home Depot any day of the week (except Saturday night when some Home Depots turn into clandestine $3500 a night strip clubs) A WORD (or several) OF WARNING: The credit card readers in the self-checkout lanes at this Lowe's DO NOT FREAKIN WORK. Every time we go here with just one or two items we think that we'll save time by using the self-checkout aisle. Nope! We'll try two, three, or more times and we keep getting angry 'COULDN'T READ CARD' errors. read more

Bought a dryer at Lowe's and waited for their delivery company XPO on Sunday. With door wide open and old dryer in plain sight, no knock or doorbell ring to let us know they were there. They left, we reschedule for Tuesday between 1 & 5 . XPO shows up at 9:45AM without rescheduling or notice. Won't honor the schedule window between 1. & 5 so we canceled the order and waiting for our refund. Now heading to Home Depot. Sad, because we use to buy all our appliances at Lowe's. Have always liked the decorative options Lowes offers however was highly disappointed in my visit. Wanted peel and stick back splashes and floor tiles only to find out the entire dept is closed for 2 weeks. A huge waste of time and risking exposure to Covid. They should post a sign at the entrance alerting customers of the inconvenience. read more

I am writing this review to let you know Lowe's sells returned snow blowers as brand new. My 60 year old father bought a brand new snow blower December 5th. I went over to help him get it started, with no luck. After looking through the paperwork we found out it had been returned a year prior after the previous owner over filled the machine with oil. They "serviced" it, sold it as new, dropped it off without even verifying that it ran. It has now been a month and still no one has come and picked up his "new" snowblower. It is a disgrace. My father has 1 leg and congestive heart failure, this place doesn't care just wants to make a buck. Do not buy any equipment from them without checking to make sure what your buying is actually new. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced with a home improvement store. I ordered a dishwasher and stove from the Malden, MA store to include delivery and haul-away at $40/each. Their delivery team delivered the items and didn't call me to inspect and sign for the items. They were left with the workers that were in the apartment I am renovating (I live in the same building, different apartment). They did not haul away the old appliances. I called the Malden store and they said someone would come the next day. No one showed. I called again and again someone was to come yesterday to haul away. No one showed. So now Lowes has $80 of my money and I still have the old appliances. The store is no help. Do not shop here. Go to Home Depot. At least when they make a mistake they fix it immediately. I will never give Lowes another cent of my money. one star only because I couldn't skip and give no stars. read more

Was shorted a bunch of stuff on a lumber delivery. Pointed it out to the driver and he noted the shortages and took pictures. Then after giving them a week to finish the delivery I called the store many times a day for a week. Of course nobody answered the phone, so the following Saturday I went to the store and spoke to Brian, the manager. Brian assured me that my missing items would be delivered on Tuesday. Apparently BRIAN is not a man of his word! Tuesday came and went and the order that BRIAN promised has yet to be seen. Tried calling the store again and by some miracle someone actually answered the phone. They said BRIAN was still there, put me on hold and after waiting quite a while for BRIAN THE MANAGER. I just had one of the worst customer service experience with the Danvers, MA store location. I was calling to check on the status of the order that I had placed online but had yet to get a notification that all of the items were ready to be picked up. The employee told me that the order had been canceled and that I should have received an email notifying me of this change. I did not receive an email and when I asked for more details the employee spoke over me saying the order was canceled and then hung up the phone. Giving 1 star because you cant give zero! Today, noone avail to assist... 20 min later, still noone showed up to help so had to use our personal cell phone to call the store we were standing in ... Sound wrong? It is but it gets better. While waiting, another store employee comes over and uses the computer then leaves without calling for someone else to help...Then, when someone finally showed up after our call, he had a bad attitude. True to my past experience at Lowe's, the staff did not disappoint me this past weekend. I visited Lowe's this past Saturday to pick up a gift and a gift card. The parking lot (despite it being the last Saturday before Christmas) was nearly empty and there were not many customers in the store (Saturday afternoon, around 2 p.m.). I wandered around a bit (and did not see one employee), because I like to browse home improvement stores, and then began to seriously look for the tool I came to buy. I looked in what I thought were obvious places for the tool and couldn't find it. I then found an employee in the lighting department and asked him about it (he was obviously not thrilled that I had bothered him with a question). He sent me to aisle 17 or 18. I walked up and down those aisles 2 or 3 times each and saw nothing that resembled what I was looking for. I began to walk toward the front of the store to find a service desk (do they even have a service desk at Lowe's??) and saw a tool section that looked promising. I still could not find the tool. I went up to the only staffed cash register (where there were no customers in line) and asked the cashier if she could assist me in finding the tool. She looked at the tool on my i-phone screen and pointed me in the direction of the tools that I had just looked over. I explained to her that I had done a thorough search of that area and did not find the tool. Could you possibly find someone to walk with me to find the tool? That seemed like such an odd request to her. After asking again for assistance, and again getting no real help, I decided that I would be far better off at Home Depot, where I am happy to shop and where you can always find a helpful customer service representative. Lowe's, I have no idea how you stay in business or why people come in to your store. I have never had a positive shopping experience in any Lowe's store. read more

I have been a customer of Lowe's for quite a while but lately I have had an extremely negative experience with the Customer Service personnel and the Blind installers who are contracted by Lowe's. Lowe's recently changed their contract with installers but as a customer I have spent 400$ on blinds and unable to get the contact number for the new installers. I have called the store 4 days in a row at various times but have not been able to reach an employee in the blind department nor a manager. Tonight I was left on hold 20 min waiting for a manager, called back and on hold again until I was disconnected. Called back again and the recording said the store was closed. I have been told to ' call back tomorrow' for 4 days in a row. I would be very wary to do business with this dept in Lowe's or the Customer Service desk. I have no idea if there even is a manager. I left my number 4 days in a row with no call back. I'm assuming their business is in trouble. Buyer beware. read more

Lowe's is a complete nightmare. Two men came to my house to set up my brand new dishwasher and when I asked them if they needed my help or wanted anything to drink they were perfectly nice with responding. They were there for about thirty minutes and set it up and everything was fine. After they leave I start to wash my clothes and one of my kids tells me that there's water all over the laundry room floor. Turns out they set it up wrong and the water was flooding the whole room and through my floor down into my kitchen in the light fixture. Me and my two young kids began trying to dry up all the water as we called Lowe's and asked them to come and fix it. The same men came back and didn't apologize for the whole mess. They proceed to fix the leak but make my washing machine sound like a helicopter was landing in my house and had a Smokey smell. I decide I'm just not gonna use it and hire another company to do it, and they did it in 30 minutes completely fine. I wasted a lot of money and time on Lowe's and that's why I do NOT AT ALL recommend them read more
