I've always been a fan of Lowe's over Home Depot, but on a recent trip to my local Lowe's store I was very displeased. I am handicapped and on crutches. Upon entering the store I noticed that they only had one handicapped cart and it had an out of order sign on it. I asked at the customer service if they had any carts available and where they may be located. I was told "We have no idea and that I just have to look around for one." That is disgustingly bad service for a handicapped person, even more so for a handicapped Army Veteran. Then trying to find a normal everyday part that I know they carry, and asking an associate for help, she took my example part and went to customer service to locate the part. By the time she got back I had located the part myself. The associates at this store (in Cumming, Georgia) are not very helpful nor are they knowledgeable. I may start going to Home Depot. read more

Delivery dryer 2/24 the install men were immigrants do not speak english made communication ZERO. Instead of doing the install i paid for they said i needed a plumber! FYI I did call Lowes who said Lowes Corporatef hires the contractors. Cheapest labor. 1. It is illegal to drive a business vehicle if you cannot speak english. 2. Good luck if you order anything to be delivered. After a disastrous experience a couple years ago where it took 5 deliveries and MONTHS to have a patio table delivered without damage, I swore I'd never use Lowe's again. When our washing machine died in the middle of a cycle and was unrepairable, the ONLY reason we purchased from Lowe's was due to next day delivery. When the washer showed up, it was beat up. The delivery guys told us to immediately call, explain the situation, and they would arrange for a replacement delivery the following day. I called immediately and after over 15 minutes on hold, explained the situation. I was initially given the run around then they finally pushed it through. Now I'm told they can't deliver until Tuesday, 3 days after we were supposed to have delivery. If we wanted to wait that long, I could have purchased from numerous other retailers. read more

Elderly lady running (playing on her phone) self checkout named "Jane" was unbelievably rude to me because I called her "friend." She aggressively stated I was "not her friend." She should think about going to therapy to work out the issues she has with herself. Very disappointing. This store is a total joke. We ordered a couple hundred bags of mulch which was supposed to be delivered . These guys are the worse for getting a delivery . Our order never was delivered , & then when you call the store & ask for a manager & tell them the delivery never came , they will tell you the delivery company only had 1 truck or a truck broke down , or some other bull. Plus you don't even get a phone call saying that they won't be coming , so you wait around for the delivery & next thing you know they never show up . On Sunday 2/92025 @ 11:36 I showed up to return some items. 2 clerks at return counter one male and one female. I was the next in line. The male was working with an individual who did not have a receipt and the female was working with a customer on the phone and a customer in front of her. The local customer in front of her was so discussted they walked out and the wife on leaving said the clerk was a joke. The male clerk was telling his customer he could only due what the machine allowed. I walked up to the female clerk she was still on the phone with the customer. It is now 15 minutes waiting and there is approximately 9 people behind me waiting to return items. Another clerk or supervisor showed up and advised the male clerk and then moved over to speak with the female clerk. I asked the clerk if she was ready to handle my returns, the male clerk yelled at me to be respectful. The female clerk then issued my credit slip and said something to the effect that I deserve the rest of the day like I treated her. This was a total scam created to blame me for the clerks incompetence in front of the 9 customers waiting to return items. Don't waste your time at this store. #samsung #lowes Shame on both of you! You suggest we order early for a new build...which we followed your direction. We get the order 6 months later with a damaged box...have photos for proof. Was told not to worry if there was an issue it would be corrected. Then install items in the new home 2 months later to find the damaged box did in fact result in a default hinge and leak. But somehow this is our fault bc it wasn't reported in your 30 day return policy. However photos confirm it was on delivery. Lowes sends me to Samsung who sends me to Lowe's then To Samsung...over and over with no solution. I can't describe the disappointment I have over this and mental exhaustion it has caused us trying to get ppl to do the right thing. Karma is a true thing and will come full circle. Just sharing my story in hopes that no one else falls into this endless circle where no one takes ownership. I Asked customer service for help to reach a top shelve and waited for 15 minutes before an associate came by and told me they could not grab the item and then walked away. Do not waste your time or money at Lowe's period. The management and associates could care less about you spending your hard earned money. I purchased a washer and dryer for $1800 got them home to find out they were damaged. Tried to call the location back in Cumming Georgia could not get anybody to answer the phone. Finally after 20 minutes of ringing the phone somebody picked the phone up and hangs it up, 4 times in a row. I drove 30 miles back down to the location to find out while I was standing there the phone was ringing for 10 minutes with the ringer turned down real low. The supervisor at customer service (Wendy) , looked over to the associate Jacob and told him to go ahead and answer it. The phone has been ringing for 10 minutes. I couldn't understand this because there was no customers in line but myself. I called corporate office in North Carolina to find out on the recording due to high call volumes my hold time would be 20 minutes at this time, I wonder why. After 20 minutes of holding and finally talking to a representative at the corporate office telling me he could not look up my information because the associate did not take my phone number when I purchased the washer and dryer and I didn't choose for delivery which they would not be able to come down my driveway because I live down in the woods on 1300 foot gravel driveway. AL at corporate office took my phone number down and tried to locate my purchase telling me that he could not find where I bought the washer and dryer, basically telling me he couldn't help me. AL customer service in the corporate office put us on a three-way to call the Cumming location and they answered it in about three rings WOW. The associate answer the phone said that he would help us resolve this issue told us to standby he was transferring me to that department. With corporate on the line ( AL) ,they picked up the phone again and hung us up. I waited for a callback from AL because he had my number but never got a call back from him. So please I'm begging you!!! DO NOT spend your money at Lowe's because this is the kind of customer service YOU will get. It was like having teeth pulled to get my money refunded back to me. As a lifelong Lowes customer my frustration with problem resolution and employee empowerment has taken me to spend the time writing this appeal for common sense... "Until now I've always preferred Lowes over the home town company"... I am in a revolving circle of pass along through multi-departments of unresolved Lowes finger pointing and no empowerment being rendered on a 4 year problem continuance... The four groups under the umbrella Lowes markets their products under for Carpet are the Dixie Group, Customer Service, Service Pro and Independent Inspection Services... My contacts have been too numerous to include through telephone calls, emails, dropped calls and lack of problem ownership all the while of saying the bubbling/ puddling it is not an install issue, not a carpeting or pad issue and each group under the Lowes umbrella throwing the other groups under the bus... As the customer the carpet was Lowe's, I do not expect to hear it is the vendors decision, if you buy an automobile and it fails, it is the brand, the customer cares less who manufactured the failed component... Records from the early issues of problem reporting have been lost due to a I.T. System upgrade, each time the problem nears a point of understanding one must start over from day one to reset the issue playing field to educate a new associate... Along with this inconvenience you never get the same associate so you have no point person familiar with the progression of bringing closure... I've heard from the installers that the carpet is defective, from the StainMaster group that it was installed wrong, we've had the 3rd party inspection measuring, testing all the loophole parameters to wiggle out of backing the product, enough is enough!!! Since the Dixie Group hired the 3rd party inspection that individual created more issues after pulling the carpet off the tacking with puddling/bubbling, which indeed again points to a combination of carpet compatibility and installation nonconformance... My customer files are in your system with the exception of the details that were lost in the system upgrades, please have all parties collectively caucus and resolve this bubbling "safety issue" and perform my due process before an accident occurs...All we want is to enjoy the product we purchased without having to take additional steps legally or have litigation on behalf of a personal injury that would far outweigh the RIGHT decision at this point of the journey... I was out of charcoal at home and husband only uses hardwood lump for his BGE so I found Lowe's Cumming online store listed this particular brand in stock. Husband went to buy B n B Hardwood Lump Charcoal only find it NOT in stock despite the Lowe's Cumming online store clearly states that "47 Available at Cumming Lowe's Aisle 27 | Bay 6." He bought a large bag of Kamado Lump Charcoal instead. We don't own a Kamado Joe. Wished he gone to Home Depot and gotten Royal Oak instead. (Yes, I know a lump of wood doesn't know the difference between Kamado Joe and BGE grills, but I am hungry NOW and don't want wait all day for charcoal to light up!) read more

Worst delivery experience ever!!!! This store's delivery service is extremely poorly managed there's no quality control, no checks and balances and they just don't care. After waiting and waiting on a corporate Customer Service line I was able to lodge my complaint and it still took three tries to get my delivery complete and it was still not correct. It would seem to me they just don't have what it takes. The Cumming store didn't answer the phone on 6 tries trying to reach an associate. Do not support this business especially if you are African American! I was stop at the "exit" door by an older Caucasian women name Terry who was just a cashier. She was ringing up at the limber exit and would not let me leave unless I show her my receipt. I refuse to show her and asked to speak to a manager. I was so scared i was crying in the middle of the aisles. It was so bad management had to escort me to the car. I watched other members walked by me and preceded out the same door and never was stopped. I did everything right purchased my items with honesty, supports a business in community, had my receipts, did not have anything else in my cart but my plants, and went out the exit door. I faced true racial profiling. I called corporate in tears and a lovely lady name Liv felt so bad for me she almost started crying. She took my report with everyone involved ( all parties involved and times) and the report was suppose to be sent to the store manager Nel. I have not heard from anyone to apologize for my experience. I end up going to home depo across the street, received excellent customer, and purchased the same plants for $6 dollars less. Had a terrible experience with Lowes. went in to the Cumming store to buy a fridge. The fridge that we wanted to buy was not in stock and the store suggested that we buy from their Norcross location as they had 1 in stock. we placed the order online and waited but never got the fridge. after several phone calls and no luck, we had to open a dispute through the bank to get the money back. Went back to Cumming location and shared the experience with the manager working in appliances section. They promised to help and placed a new order for the same type of fridge. that was back in Sep 2022 around labor day. The delivery date was supposed to be in Oct. Same thing happened again. Oct came and no response from Lowes. They kept pushing the dates out from Oct to Nov and then to Dec. Now got a call that it would be delivered end of Feb 2023. My friend bought the exact same fridge from their competitor across the street and it was delivered in 2 weeks. During this time, I have called Lowes many times and also went to the store at least 2-3 times. No one seems to want to help. every person tells a different story and they just keep on giving you false information. One person in customer service department told me that the PO had been shipped so I should receive it by Dec 12th but nothing happened. Afterwards, spoke with their receiving manager and she told me that the vendor had never approved the order. All of this is after Lowes charged my credit card TWICE for a 3500 fridge and waiting for 5+ months and still they are asking to wait for another 2 months with no guarantees. read more

Our oven had went out and since Black Friday sales were still going on, we decided it was time to get a new oven. After narrowing it down to the one we wanted, we decided to order online from this location since it was not in stock at the store. In the email, it stated that someone would call within the next 24 hours. The next morning we had woken up to a missed call from lowes around 1030 p.m. or so the previous night. We didn't think they would call so late. We then called customer service back and they stated that our order had somehow been canceled. After about an hour or so on the phone, we finally got ahold of someone who knew what they were talking about. At first they had told us that the prices had gone back up so they will see what they could do. It's not our fault that they made a mistake! In the end, we were going to be getting a new oven shipped to us yet again. This time we had to wait another week. After the guys had unloaded the oven and brought it inside, we noticed a huge dent in the back. To add more to the problem, they tell us we had to buy a conversion kit. There is nothing wrong about having to convert the oven, but it would've been nice to know. Not much expected after the customer service we have received so far. We ended up sending the oven back! Now we have to wait another week to get the oven. We let them know that since they simply can't do their job right, we will just go and pick it up ourselves. THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING LOWE'S EXTENDED WARRANTY. Our microwave stopped heating in early January, and we called on our Lowe's warranty for repair. After an amazing runaround, their authorized repair company (JDS Repair) made several visits, poked around with no results, and said they needed to order a part. In February, JDS took the now-totally-dead microwave apart (now no light, no fan, no noise), found a bug, and said maybe it needed another part ordered. When I texted today (March) for a status update, JDS texted back "This ticket was closed out by Lowes on 2/15. The part order was declined. Lowes was supposed to contact you about your options." I called Lowes and was told that, as my "house was bug-infested," my warranty is null and void. Supervisor Karen would not send me anything in writing to explain the refusal of service or warranty, though. Wonder what my incredibly meticulous Terminix guy is gonna say about a lone bug in Georgia house? My few thousand dollar purchases at Lowe's probably don't make much difference to their bottom line, but my words on Yelp might. If you want customer service, usable warranties and prompt repair services, this is not the place to go. PS. We have Lowe's extended warranties on our ovens, refrigerator, and cooktop. The supervisor offered to refund a small amount of the microwave warranty, but declined to refund our warranties on the other appliances. Wonder why? Purchased a wall oven two weeks ago. Was told it would be delivered today. Wondered why I hadn't received notice of tracking or a call from dispatch advising me of the delivery time. Called this morning to learn the oven will now - maybe - be available at the end of April. An additional 90 days. I understand Biden's screw ups place some things beyond the retailers' control, but I paid two grand and deserve at least transparency, not sad sounding apologies only when I call. Very poor. One of the employees had to tell him not once, but three times that there was someone at the counter, he was so engrossed with his cell phone he forgot that he is "working" ! On Sunday, May 7, 2017, my husband and I visited The Home Depot, on Market Place Boulevard in Cumming, to purchase an 18" Poulan PRO, 42 cc gas engine, chain saw that was listed for $169. We brought with us Tractor Supply Company's current sales circular advertising their identical 18" Poulan PRO, 42 cc gas engine, chain saw for the great price of $149.99 with the intent of having The Home Depot honor their Guaranteed Low Price, which states: If you find a current lower price on an identical, in-stock item from any retailer, we will match the price and beat it by 10%. Just bring the ad, printout or photo with you to the register for validation. Shockingly, not only did the Customer Service representative that waited on us indicate that Home Depot did not recognize Tractor Supply Company as a competitive retailer and refuse to honor the Guaranteed Low Price, she unapologetically dismissed us without further explanation. Our understanding is that the Tractor Supply Company operates over 1,600 retail stores in 49 states and its stock is traded on the NASDAQ exchange, which would make it a competitor of both The Home Depot and Lowe's Home Centers. Sadly, we left the store extremely frustrated and highly disappointed. However, believing that Lowe's Home Center would honor their Price Match Guarantee, we went across the street and presented the same sales circular to Customer Service representative, Macy, and the store manager. They promptly honored Lowe's Home Centers' promise with a smile and sold us an 18" Poulan PRO, 42 cc gas engine, chain saw for Tractor Supply Company's sales price of $149.99. I'm wondering why I have come back to this store. I needed to swap an item for one that was the right size. After 10 people had lined up for help, a second register was finally opened - while four other employees who appeared to be on station in that department stood by. I ordered several items online for store pickup. The website indicated that plenty were in stock at the Cumming store, and I also received an email stating my order was ready for pickup. After arriving at the store to pickup the order, we were told that 4 of the items weren't actually in stock, with no way to order them or have them shipped to our house. No one could explain why we had gotten an email saying our order was teady. The department manager, Connie Twiggs, was exceptionally rude and not helpful at all. When asked if there was any way these could be ordered for later pickup or delivered, she just said "NO." She made absolutely no effort to try to offer a solution. We went to this lowes on a Friday about 7:00. The service was horrible! There were about 5 workers standing around talking at the front door. When I went to ask someone for help I was told to go to customer service to have them page someone. At at customer tWo women were chatting with each other and finally acknowledged me. They paged someone and waiting about five minutes but no one ever came. We went to a different department and a worker was yelling at someone on the phone. It sounded like a personal phone call. Lowe's in Cumming, Georgia is the worst. I was in the market for a new riding lawn mower so I visited the Lowe's in Alpharetta. They did not have a particular mower so I was referred to the Cumming store. They were suppose to have one floor model and one in stock. 2 store employees verified that they had them. The male employee told me he would check outside first...but he never returned. After 20 minutes I asked the cashier to help. So she said she would talk to the store manager which took another 20 minutes. The manager said he could not sell me the mower in stock because a part was missing. I replied...how is a part missing on a new lawn mower ???? Then there were crickets. I got better service in the Atlanta stores. This store was trying to charge a delivery fee outside of 75 miles. I live exactly 45 miles from this store. It took me approximately 1 hour to purchase a mower. I am still tired !!!!! Oh, and forget calling because they don't answer the phones !!!!! read more

WINNER, WINNER CHICKEN DINNER! LANCE IS THE MAN! When it comes to business, I follow knowledgeable employees, great customer service, and customer friendly policies. The fact that I am closer to Mansell, Johns Creek and Windward is irrelevant. I have been to all of those locations and an even greater number of stores over the past few days in search of a fridge and new microwave oven. Today I decided to try the Cumming store because I have never had a bad experience here and I needed a store that was appropriately staffed with capable staff, enter my man LANCE! Lance is the ideal sales person because nothing about his is aggressive or abrasive. He looks you in the eye an answers questions directly with no shenanigans! He was able to answer all of our questions regarding the appliances and if there was something that he didn't know immediately, he was able to access it via the computer. He gave us a lot of useful information along with tips to consider as we prepare to replace our appliances. In addition to having such a great experience with Lance, no other store could really touch their customer oriented policies : Thirty-day returns (no questions), only $15 to remove the old appliance, free delivery, (even to Alpharetta, while some will charge you beyond a certain distance), great plans for extended warranties that will cover more than just the compressor. Love it! After obtaining printed information and getting some additional contact information, (so that we can double-check measurements prior to ordering), Lance asked me to contact him even if I do not decide to use Lowe's and I remember thinking: Now that is the sign of a great salesman because you should always want to know why you lose a potential customer. Why wait to find out on Yelp? Also, customers give the best feedback regarding changes they might like to see. I am always willing to give feedback to businesses because my reviews are not ever meant to be malicious, just to document my authentic experience and to highlight really great experiences. Lance is a great asset to Lowe's and they should be very proud of the great service he provides to customers! *** My microwave was available within one week so I returned to pick it up and Lance loaded it up for me. *** I really appreciated that they called me a couple of weeks early to deliver my fridge. It was originally scheduled to be delivered between July 6th and 10th, but having it delivered before the holiday was sweet! Delivery was scheduled for June 23 between 5:30-7:30pm. Yes, it was to be an evening delivery. So imagine my surprise when my husband appears around 9 am and tells me that the guys are downstairs setting up the fridge! Huh? That's like 9 hours too early!! Even though they attempted to contact me prior to the delivery, this was still unacceptable. I did not blame the delivery guys who were very apologetic and polite. They just stated that several deliveries had been canceled and they had attempted to call us prior to the delivery. I operate my phone PRN, so it wasn't on. Lowe's really needs to respect the delivery window because of scheduling and people having to take time away from work and other commitments. This was just a major inconvenience because we had not removed the food or prepped the area. I had actually planned to do this closer to the scheduled delivery time. Never the less, the delivery went very smooth and we are pleased with our new purchase, (so far). 8/22/16 Update, I absolutely love my fridge and microwave. I love the organizational features of the fridge and the interior space which actually holds more than you would think, (considering with have the counter depth model), It is not as deep but you don't lose any food or have to go searching for items. The belly drawer and organizational extras more than make up for the "perceived" lack of space. It is quiet and we have had no problems since our initial purchase. read more

Do not purchase a lawn mower here! CAN I GIVE LESS THAN 1 STAR???? I purchased a Troy built mustang 42" zero turn from my local lowes store. Five months later it does not work will crank but won't move! Called the local store and after being told to come swap it out for a new one from the "store manager Ron" which he is not the manager by the way. Dragged the mower out of my back yard with my truck loaded it onto a small lawn trailer and took it back. When I arrived I unloaded it myself with no help! Went to the register and ask for the store manager and was told he was on lunch. Waited 20 more minutes and finally Ron showed up. I told him I put the purchase on my lowes card and he could look it up. The Ron treated me like a thief! Said he needed id to confirm and I gave him my license number. Still not good enough! So then he told me they were going to repair the mower"swap it out as you stated" no were going to repair it and it may take three weeks or more I was told. Wow $2000 and have to wait 3 weeks? No thanks. Then I loaded it back onto my trailer no help again and took it home. Sitting in my driveway now and still not working. So called corporate office, got a call from the regional manager and was told he would call me right back. Still no resolution a week later!!!!!! Something has to give here guys seriously Just give me a refund I have my receipt I stated then they denied that. So in end I have a zero turn mower that does not work and piss poor customer service!
