This store has gone from bad to horrific. I was expecting a delivery from noon to 4:00 with a phone call 30 minutes prior to delivery. Needless to say I was not home at 9:30 a.m. when they did arrive and promptly left since no one was home. No call 30 minutes prior, nothing. Now rescheduling is a nightmare since no one ever picks up the phone. read more

I rarely take the time to complain and usually just shop someplace else after a bad experience, but today's Lowes experience was so poor I am taking the time to relay it to you. I received a notification today that my order (#70xxxxxx) was ready for pickup. This order was for $1,100+ worth of merchandise and included a bathroom vanity and other items that I have had trades lined up to install. A new employee named George looked up my order and said he would go look for it. The online order was not stored in the customer pick-up area so he went looking in the aisles. It was obvious that George was doing his best, but he had been left to his own resources with absolutely no assistance from anyone else. He came back, unable to find my items in stock in the aisles (all items except a mirror that had to be delivered showed in stock when I ordered them). I went with him and we looked in the aisles but could not locate them. George said he would find a manager. I watched as George tried in vain to find a manager in Customer Service. It took some time but he finally said something about finding an ASM (Assistant Manager?) which I can only assume was the bewildered looking woman that walked past me holding my receipt without uttering a word. She was joined by an equally perplexed looking man in a red vest and they set out on their quest. I am still not sure what they were looking for as they never communicated anything to me AT ALL. For all I know they found Sasquatch lurking in the garden department and will be on the evening news, or maybe they are still wandering around the store and will come back when they get hungry or something. Perhaps they never looked at all because no one seemed to know what was going on. After an hour and a half of watching customers become angry at the lack of assistance I got back in the Return line. After another half an hour waiting for assistance I asked for a manager. Andre (the Head Cashier) emerged from a small room to "help" me. Andre, while a nice young man, could offer nothing beyond telling me that he figures they are still looking for my order. The situation now leaves me with a choice. I ordered these items several weeks ago, dismantled a bathroom, hired a tile setter, waited for the order to come in and drove to Lowes which is some distance from my house. Cancelling the order is the last thing I want to do as it would mean that I had to shop again at another store, order items, go without a bathroom for several more weeks, pay and reschedule subcontractors etc.. If I had any, and I mean any, confidence that anyone at this Lowes cared or was competent to follow-up on my order, I would have waited for a verdict on my items' whereabouts. I looked around at the angry customers, the vapid faces on most of the employees, the abandoned carts full of returned but unprocessed returns and had Andre cancel my order. I understand that these are difficult times. Those that are working are busy. Everyone is on edge and that makes everything harder. I rarely blame employees and chose to think that most people will do their best if given the proper tools and training. Therefore, I am not upset with any of the employees but Store Management is another story. To quote my dad, "I'm not mad I'm just disappointed". Oh, and I won't be back. read more

I purchased a garage door opener with installation. The installation service was through a company call Handy. Handy will schedule an appointment for you and then post your "job" on an electronic bulletin board and "hope" that an Independent Contractor takes the job for the appointment time. If not, Handy sends you their apologies and reschedules the appointment and hopes for the best. Handy has indicated to me that they can't assign the jobs. For those folks who have tight schedules work, family care, etc., I don't think this is a very good business model. Customer service reps at Handy were polite and available on the phone but not much help. Lowe's staff were excellent and even helped me find an alternative garage door opener installer. This is a shout out to "Bob" who works in appliances but who is the most knowledgeable and helpful person imaginable for just about any product. He is my go-to resource for garden, pest and just about any other hardware store question. He is a retired gardener/chef but is truly an old-fashioned 'renaissance man' who has practical answers for any problem. Other locals seem to know about him too, but I don't know if the store realizes what an asset he is. I love that the store hires vets, and folks seem pretty helpful. Bob should train some of the newer guys as a lot of them don't seem to know where things are. Note: I have NEVER had good service in the paint store - they are always surly and act like it's a pain to 'help' you. read more

I've had some great experiences at this Lowe's recently and in the past. I've had a lot of opportunity to visit them lately and they've always offered great service and prices. I was very pleasantly suprised to find that they offer a 10% military discount. It really saved us a bundle recently when we purchased some high dollar items for our new home. For the purchases I have made, I find Lowe's pricing to be better than Home Depot's with the exception of flooring. read more

We shop at Home Depot because of the awesome customer service and Lowes seems to have missed out on this important part of the business. It's hard to impossible to get someone to help you at this place. We went to buy a heart $1000 saw and no one bothered to help. Go to the windsor or SR HD store and you can't walk through without 5 associates asking if you need help. We go here when they have something we can't get elsewhere and they have great stuff with a big selection. read more

I understand why the service is always horrible when the manager has a goal rating displayed to try and get 75%. Maybe if he tried for 100% then the expectations would be hire. The lady in the garden area can not be bothered with helping you. Then buying 10 bags of mulch and pulling my car up to load, do you think the two employees standing there can help out a lady? Nope. Some gentlemen that was finished loading his own up in his truck helped load mine. The other visit when asking where something was, uh against the wall inside. Gee thanks for your help. read more

It's so difficult to talk to an associate on the phone. I have called at different times and different days and haven't been able to connect. I just want check on the status of my order which I made and paid for back in Januy 2021. A rating of 1 is even high. read more

I came to the store on Friday around 6PM. I knew what I needed and proceeded to the plumbing section. The item I was looking for was in stock but I wasn't able to find it. I've asked one lady for assistance and said that she will call for help since she's not the right person to help. She called, I heard it in the speakers. I waited in aisle 36 and didn't move so that I will not miss the person who would be looking for me. No one showed up for 20 minutes. Then I want to the next isle and there was a door wide open to their stock section. I saw a guy and I asked for help. He said he'll get someone. No one came. He didn't even bother to call for anyone. Later on I saw him walking around trying to space out and waste time between the aisles. Finally I put all the stuff back where I got it from and left. This is not the first time this happened. The management of that store is just complete failure. They hire people who reflect their own values and ethics. I didn't want to drive to HD a mile further from my house but from now on I will. I bought a 700 dewalt planer and many other tools, pretty much the whole kitchen, appliances and bathroom stuff for my daughter's house from that Lowe's. I won't make that mistake again. read more

ZERO STARS. CONSUMERS BEWARE!! Lowes in Cotati hires 3rd party thugs to deliver and set up your new appliances. Let me tell ya, these thugs don't give two shits about representation, their demeanor, your house, your new appliance, their work quality, nothing! I ended up kicking their sorry asses out of my home for rushing the job and causing damage. They banged into my walls, banged up my new $1000 fridge, and gave me attitude when I stepped in to prevent further damage. There were two of them. The lead thug told me to "stand out of the way so I can do my job." To which I replied, " If your job is to damage my door-jam, walls, and new appliance, then you're FUCKING FIRED! Leave the refrigerator where it is, and get the FUCK out of my house!!" I will NEVER purchase another product from Lowes again. read more

Do not go here. They will sell you broken products in clean packages. Purchased a fridge online for in store pick up. Packaging looked fine when I picked it up but when I opened it the fridge had obviously been severely damaged by being dropped on its side. They either have no quality control or terrible management. Wasted an entire Sunday and only got a "uhh... sorry..." from customer service. Learn from my mistake. Do not go here. read more

Usually, Lowe's has a great reputation. Indeed, I've had great luck, service, and help at 5 other Lowe's locations. This one, however, is an abomination. Judith, in the blinds department, is the only reason for going into this store. So unless I'm ordering blinds, I will never return to this location. Here are a few of the incidents I've run into: 1: I needed a washing machine. One of my tenants had a machine that was broken. We tracked down an employee in the appliance department with questions. "They're over there." Um, which ones are in stock. "Those." OK, how do they compare-- "Look at the labels." The conversation became less polite. After all, it was half an hour before closing... What did I expect? Manners? We ended up going to Home Depot (of all places), which, contrary to my usual experiences, had excellent customer service, and they had someone willing to help us instantly, and we had an order placed for what we needed within 5 minutes. When Home Depot has better customer service than your store, there is a HUGE problem. 2: Last week, when it was raining, a car came racing up the parking lot like it was a drag strip, honked for 30 seconds at someone who was backing out, slammed to a stop at the front door (making a truck stop abruptly). Passenger had a short conversation before exiting. A really rushed purchase for a VIP? no. Turns out it was an employee. Rather than wasting time helping customers, he and a couple of other employees were standing in front of the restrooms taking selfies in their vests. I left that day unable to find what I was looking for, and unable to find an employee who knew what I was talking about or where to find it. Hey, they're busy taking selfies. 3: Records showed that there were 20 boxes of laminate in the color I wanted. Well, there were 6 intact boxes. The rest were all split open. Next week, when there were more, someone had put the pallet in backwards, so the labels were inaccessible. I recommend a top-down overhaul of this store: Management, employees, etc. Again, the only person I've met there that is worth her salt is Judith in the Blinds department. The rest can go. read more

****Z E R O STARS**** Worst customer service I've ever received. I was dealing with 3 people and out of those 3 only 1 of them knew how to properly treat a customer. So I went in to pick up an order (fire pit kit that probably weighs around 300 pounds) and when I arrived and called them to let them know I am outside and tell them what number parking spot I am at, they tell me to go "around by the gate and someone will bring it with a forklift and load it on to the truck" (there's more than 1 gate) and when I asked the guy on the phone which gate he couldn't even tell me which one and sounded confused as hell, so of course I had to guess which gate he was talking about and drove around until they came out with a forklift. When all 3 associates finally come out to the gate they did not even greet us or confirm it was our order. They just assumed it was us and stood outside the truck and looked at us, as if they were annoyed for doing their job. Then one of the associates named Leslie has the audacity to say "What are they going to do just sit inside their truck or what." First of all let me tell you that were two small females that are picking this order up, so there was no way in hell we'd be able to do it, when they needed a forklift themselves to bring it out to us. Second of all, we were just following the instructions the guy on the phone told me over the phone when I called to say I was outside to pick up my order. They could've easily confirmed it was our order and then nicely let us know how we could be some help to them, or how to back up the truck to help them load it on to the bed trunk like they said they would. Not just stare at us mean mugging us from a distance. And Leslie, who made that rude ass comment decided she no longer needed to help and walked away and left her two other coworkers to figure it out. So to Dawn, the only associate that seemed to have good customer service and handed the whole situation properly THANK YOU SO MUCH! She was the forklift driver who was great help and was very understanding. And the young kid Alex who was supposed to be helping Dawn with the forklift had an ugly attitude just as bad as Leslie. I thanked Dawn and told her Leslie should've never made that nasty comment and Alex intervened and said " Well maybe she wouldn't have said that if you wouldve just gotten out of the truck and helped." Are you kidding me? Fucking ridiculous!!!! What are we supposed to do when the guy specifically instructed me to " Pull up to the gate so we can load it on the truck". Leslie and Alex you definitely need some retraining on how to properly treat your customers and how to do your job correctly!!!! If i could leave 0 stars I definitely would. Came here from Marin because of their wonderful treatment of Vets. We expected to spend a few thousand dollars and brought the truck. Need lounge chairs, cushions, outdoor heaters, a big list. Less than Zero Stars. Worst customer service on the planet! Once you have purchased an appliance (which Lowe's will be delighted to sell you) they will never answer their phones again--not the appliance department, not the delivery department, not the administrative offices (where aren't listed among the options on their voicemail). Just came back from Lowe's about 15 minutes ago. We've been shopping there a lot lately as what we want is not carried by Friedman's, not Mead Clark, nor Home Depot. One of the items my husband wanted was from Skil & Lowe's had it. In stock. The other thing we've been looking at right now - landscape lighting. Lowe's has a larger, bigger better selection than HD in that. We had to take one of the lights we bought back tonight, no problem, then we bought another different very cool solar umbrella light. The woman who took it back, was most likely the same person that one of the people here was complaining about. She was a sweetheart. Of course, we were in on the less trafficked hours. People get exceedingly stressed when there's tons of people in the return line, but because we were there about 9:00 pm, no one was there, smooth sailing, everything was great. Also something else we noticed when we were buying lumber, HD's prices for the lumber pieces we wanted for about $1 - $2 higher per piece. So, we'd rather buy from Lowe's which has a bigger selection than HD imho. Especially since we wanted dowels for one of our DIY projects, Lowe's is way better and has a much better/bigger selection, and cheaper prices. read more

I had my kitchen, floors, and a window remodel done through Lowe's. It was a great experience. Derick was our project manager, and was very informative and very patient while my husband and I went back and forth on what materials we wanted and really helped us figure out the best way to get what we wanted. We finished the remodel last fall, and everything is still in great shape, the work and materials were all excellent. We've also had random questions after the fact, and they have been very helpful still. Whenever we are in the store, the floor staff are always very cheerful and helpful as well, more so than some other stores... When we get around to doing our next project (the bathroom!) we'll definitely use Lowe's. read more

I have to give this place 5 stars after the disaster our family went through at Home Depot. We tried to get hardwood flooring installed for 4 bedrooms in my mom's new house. After two months of hassles with crooked Home Depot, we came to Lowe's and it was the best decision ever! I'm so impressed by the staff that helped us. Everyone was so prompt and the entire process of measuring, picking out the right flooring, and installation took less than two weeks. Rudy Hernandez helped us with the flooring and he was AWESOME! He was so patient with answering all our questions and helped us choose the right flooring for us. Jose did our installation and he was such a nice guy and was always on time! Not to mention we saved over $1,000 (and a headache) going with Lowe's. read more

should be a zero but not an option....... so I ordered some products, canceled them 2 days later over the phone x2 because I have done this dance before with Lowe's and they failed the best and brightest test. ANYWAY I canceled my order TWO DAYS after I placed it. They ignored the cancellation and 3 weeks later loaded it on a truck. the guy on the truck called me to let me know they would be delivering. I explained that the order was canceled 3 weeks ago. So they FINALLY REFUNDED MY MONEY for the order BUT NOT THE 100.00 delivery fee. After 4 hours of HOLD, WAIT WHILE I TRANSFER YOU ETC, I gave up. Lowe's has my delivery fee but I got no delivery and canceled the order 48 hours after I made it AND THREE WEEKS BEFORE THEY TRIED TO DELIVER THE CANCELED ORDER. LOWES is dumbed down and they capitalize on the whole dumb down and they count on our exasperation to make their margins. And may I add this is not my first LOWES RODEO. read more

Rohnert Park store.. Steph at the ProDesk was absolutely rude and unhelpful. Rich in Garden was absolutely fabulous and helpful.

Customer service is HORRIBLE at this store. HORRIBLE. Even trying to reach them by phone. Impossible. They don't answer! Management needs to step up and fix these issues. It is hard to believe how bad their service actually is. Order a high-end washer, they called to make sure we were home all day and then never showed up!! ZERO stars. ZERO. Oh my gosh! I should have listened to people who complained about Lowes in Cotati. What a horrible experience. I'm moving and taking a new job. I went to Lowes Cotati (closest to where I'm moving) and asked if they could deliver a washer and dryer, which happened to be on sale. No problem. I bought them, set a date, hired someone to do a propane conversion, etc. They only would deliver to my new home town on Tuesdays. The day before delivery to my new home, they called and said the washer which had been reserved for me, had been sold and delivered to some other customer. Sorry. Anyone who has moved knows that you are dealing with a lot of details so I was frustrated, but I'm pretty forgiving as I'm also imperfect. They gave me a discount and set a new date. The day before the new date, it happened again! Aaaaaand, get this, now they don't know when they will be delivering. It will be "whenever" - literally - that's what they said. I'm starting a brand new job and I'm going to just up and not show for work on some random Tuesday, "whenever." Okay, so now I. AM. DONE. But wait, there is more frosting on this poopcake. They refunded the units and all the bits and bobs that are required to go with it, but not the 5 yr warranty. I have to drive over to Cotati to do that in person. Really? I called Lowes corporate and was on the phone for 1 hour, while corporate argued with Lowes Cotati, explaining that they can and will refund the money for the warranty. The corporate rep was FABULOUS and the young man who sold me the units was too, but the delivery people for Lowes Cotati are kind of awful. BEWARE. I wish I had listened. read more

Me likes Lowe's! Came here the other day, needed shelving longer than 8ft. Was surprised to say the least that the other big-box home improvement store didn't carry anything longer than a 1X8. I would've had an easier time finding Ozzy Osbourne at a church bake sale, than I would finding help at THAT store. Just what would Ozzy bake? Not the case at Lowe's! Really friendly when I asked where shelving was at. A little taken back at the auspicious smiles, I was preparing to deflect questions concerning my solar panel needs...but no, the employees where just plain nice & helpful. It's located right off the 101. Worth the slightly farther drive, was in and out in no time. Honored a 10% discount for veterans, very cool. read more

I have had NOTHING but trouble with the Rohnert Park Lowes. First of all, I call the store number 707 242-5000 and often have to call back multiple times to get anyone to answer the phone. Specifically, I have called "The Installation Department," and can hardly ever get a person to anwer the phones. I paid for an install of a security screen door and it took over a month to get someone to come out and itstall it. They are to come on Friday Aug 3, and I can't get anyone to confirm the time. I will never purchase anything from Lowes that needs an install ever again. As I write this, I am on hold with the 1 800 Customer Service to try and get some help and even they are having a didfi ult time getting someone to answer the phone. I have wasted way too much time on Lowes. I do NOT recommend them at all! read more

Lowes has not let us down - I had one toilet installation at our old place that was completed on schedule. We have also used them for our current bathroom renovation in our new place. Steve from the plumbing department was very helpful in helping us pick out tubs, toilets, plumbing and fixtures and looked up anything we had questions on such as if a certain tub could be ordered white or a certain fixture be polished chrome. Not only that, but his follow up was impeccable. He would call us with updates and let us change the delivery schedule and let us know if anything we ordered came early. I was even able to do a tub exchange when the first one I ordered was too heavy for out 2nd floor bathroom. Their customer service department is pretty dedicated to researching your questions as well. They are my go-to place for my biggest home improvement needs. Just did not want to wait longer. Fridge was placed and plugged in, but the installers/deliverers did not take it off "display" mode. Display mode is the mode the appliances are in at the store. Wow this place slid off into the abyss of crappy customer service and lack of competence quickly. Just Like Home Depot, they have a stack of 27 gallon tote boxes with no lids! Of course with a little sign next to the boxes stating don't forget your lids. Very Good! So I look up and I see more 27 gallon tote boxes with lids up high on the Shelf. One of the associates was kind enough to get them down for me after he finished his half hour conversation about computers with another customer. Once I get to check out the barcode won't work.
