Why 1 star? Because it's hard to imagine having a worse experience. --- --- --- There is no way to share this horror show concisely. If I was reading this review, I would just assume a crazy person was embellishing. I wish so badly that this was the case. I bought 3 appliances from Lowe's and this is exactly what happened: Saturday, July 26 -My dishwasher stopped working. Sunday, July 27 -My wife and I were intrigued by a sale at Lowe's: spend $2500 on appliances and get a bunch of stuff (installation, parts, etc) for free. Our washer and dryer were also very old, so we did our research on which ones we should buy. I came to the store just before closing time and worked with two associates, as well as an Asst. Store Manager - William. They were struggling to understand how to activate the $2,500 deal, but we eventually thought it was all settled at $2,809.09. My delivery date for everything was scheduled for Tuesday. Tuesday, July 29 -The guys arrive and tell me they are only delivering them, not installing. I call the store and speak with Norman (Appliances Asst. Mgr.) who insists the only course of action is to tell them to put the appliances back on the truck and take them back because he has to refund me and re-do the order. Norman eventually tells me that everything will be delivered and installed on Thursday and that my actual charge is now $2,589.99. Thursday, July 31 -Only my washing machine comes. No one at Lowe's understands why this is, but apparently something was not communicated properly. I am now told that the earliest possible date I can receive the dishwasher and dryer will be Monday. Monday, August 4 -I have a delivery window between 8am-12pm. I receive a call at 11am, "This is your delivery person, but I just wanted to let you know I am not coming today because Lowe's did not have your products at the store." I call the store and am told the earliest we can now deliver/install is Friday. Friday, August 8 -The installer arrives at my house with both appliances. Except he brings in a base model Bosch dishwasher instead of the one we picked out. I call the store, and eventually find out that the dishwasher I picked out has been discontinued sometime in the past week or so, and is no longer available. This is incredibly frustrating, because we wanted that specific dishwasher. I eventually found the closest match I could in terms of all of the features we were looking for. But in the meantime, they installed the one on-hand, and planned to replace it with the new one when it became available. -In addition, the dryer was the correct model, but the installer not only said he cannot stack the washer/dryer, but he doesn't even know anything about that. When I originally purchased these appliances, this was communicated but apparently I was never charged for it, as we came to find out. Justin (Appliances Mgr) then shipped me a stacking kit and told me that on Thursday, a person would come install the correct dishwasher and stack my washer/dryer. Thursday, August 14 -They install the proper dishwasher, but say they don't know anything about stacking my washer/dryer. After multiple phone calls by me and the installer, the installer acts like he is doing me a huge favor and going above and beyond to stack them, but he eventually does it and everything is now finally complete. --- Every time that there was a mistake, I mentioned to the various managers that I spoke to that there was also an issue that I was overcharged nearly $500. I'm not sure what exactly happened along the way, but because they constantly were charging, refunding and re-charging me, something got lost in translation and my Lowe's account was $459.75 above what it was supposed to be. Throughout the process, it was strongly emphasized numerous times that not only would I be made whole with the price difference, but I would be taken care of for all of the inconveniences. Each time this was said, it was implied that there would be a significant credit on my account due to this being such an egregious situation. I was told that once everything was done, I would speak to the store manager and he would fix everything. When I eventually spoke to the store manager for the first time, he had an incredibly different tune. He was not apologetic, not empathetic and made me feel like I was on trial. After phone calls and an eventual visit to the store, he eventually refunded me the $459.75 I was overcharged, but he acted like he was doing me a major favor, for simply returning my money to me. And Lowe's corporate, after this entire thing, deemed that I was entitled to $100 off of a $2589 purchase - less than a 4% discount. At this point, I have now had 36 phone calls with Lowe's, totaling 447 minutes - just shy of 7.5 hours. For that and 5 attempts to install 3 appliances, Lowe's tells me I am lucky to get $100. I will never spend $1 at Lowe's for the rest of my life. read more

This store is hottie. Nobody wants to help or answer any questions. Was looking for a specific plant, that their website said they had. After asking 5 different people for help who either shrugged their shoulders at us. Grunted and pointed or just flat out ignored us we never found what we were looking for. The garden section employees should all be fired and rehire people who are personable and are willing to help a customer. Home Depot will be getting all of my business. read more

I Usually shop at Lowes in Conroe, Texas two to three times a week at least, which can be confirmed by the store with my purchase history. But today will be my last, Home Depot sells the same products. I've always wondered why Home Depot is always busy. Today as I've done three other times this week same store same checkout register outside garden center because only self-checkout is available inside with an employee who just keeps stating her name to fill out a survey as to how good a job, she thinks she's doing instead of actually running a check out register . So today myself and my wife with my nine year old grandson was purchasing some items which included ten 40lbs bags of "dirt" not mulch, not and type of specialized potting or garden mix as I had done three other times earlier. The outside check out was fifteen customers deep with one open register and the cashier who just wanted to continue to talk to customers as we all stood in the heat for over thirty minutes at least. Upon getting to the register another two employees arrived who appeared to be unloading an unopened register. One of the female employees had enough sense to open the register and start checking out customers which we were the first. All items were placed on the counter by my wife as I pushed a six-foot blue cart loaded with ten bags of again "dirt". Not a riding mower or anything of real value. as I pushed the cart forward our cashier scanned the bags of dirt and how many totaling ten. I pushed the cart further toward the exit gate to get out of the way of entering customers and to give the remaining in line customers more room in line since the line was wrapped around the entry isle and down. Now note these bags of dirt were already scanned for purchase when the other female not involved later identified as Shawna in the sale or check out yelled at me not to leave the store without purchasing the items. First of all, I hadn't left the store I was moving in order to let customers in since there was no room from all the backup, I stated that these items were already scanned and my wife who was standing directly right in front of her was paying for the other items purchased. yelling again its store policy not to leave without purchasing. Now this ignorant no common-sense employee thinks I was stealing 10, 40lbs bags of dirt and to be loaded directly in front of the gate area. And again who had no idea as to who was purchasing or what was already paid for or was she in any way involved with the check out to begin with. I told her if I was going to steal anything it wouldn't be "dirt". But she had to feel important and when you have to compete with Mc Donalds to hire employees you get what you get. As a result, she soon learned these items were scanned and transaction was completed. And no Shawna's lazy self-did not offer to help load the dirt even as she thought she need to be involved with something that was none of her business. A complaint was made with the manager who to my face agreed with me that with my wife in front of her checking out Shawna should have said nothing. since she was not involved in the sale. Home Depot along with my future Appliance purchases will be my new home improvement store. read more

Terrible customer service experience. My house key broke off in my front door lock (the kind where the Mr. Stabby part of the key breaks off and is wedged IN the lock real good and you get the crown part in your hand as you curse up a blue streak in Klingon) so I had to get the unbroken spare from my mom at her house and make a fresh copy once the broken key portion had been successfully extricated from the gaping maw of the lock. It is 2k18, why are we still using olde fashioned lock and key and where in the HECK is my flying car? Thanks Obama. The cashier was incredibly rude and sassy ringing up the purchase. He offered a considerable amount of unnecessary and unappreciated commentary. Lowe's apparently requires you to tie your driver's license to a in-store return credit, even when that is $5 and you are using less than half of that to buy a copy of a front door key. So you may encounter some or many difficulties besides the cashier's attitude. Cashiers have a way of doing their job without commentary; and then some go out of their way to make your check out experience as miserable as possible. Generally speaking the latter are the reason why sexy robots will replace them and all of their jobs within five years. There is no reason to visit this store when Home Depots are abundant nearby and offer considerably better customer service at the till until the sexy robots replace them in the stores and throughout the customer service industry. As I walked through this Lowes store on 242 the atmosphere seemed to be very hostile and uninviting. I walked into the store and a customer service counter person was sitting down on a stool of some sort. Her smile was uninviting and she looked exhausted. I then walked down different isles to not be greeted by any of the store personnel. I observed little to no cars in the parking area. I then spoke with a Mgr. about a situation and the look of agitation was overwhelming. I then parted ways with the now confirmed choice of never to return to this store again. I would hate to give their competitor the praise of making a customer feel more valued but here we are. I am a firm believer that a friendly hello and a "Hello how are you today?" would break the ice for most shoppers. Is this the reason AI will take over these jobs by next year??? Purchased a fence to be installed at our home. After paying nearly $17,000 the job was incomplete. The person who measured did a poor job and so the fence is nearly 20 short. In addition, this person miscounted the poles and so the job could not even be completed. None of the hardware for the fence ever showed up. The company had the audacity to send me and email stating the project was complete. I called my sales person who stated he was well aware the job was not complete but he needed to relief this 'do the installer and he can get paid'!!!! I called repeatedly and was advised by the sales person and installer that all was ordered and they would be back within 2 weeks. We are now a month out, I called customer care to find out that there were all lies. There was NO order placed and no documentation of project bring incomplete. I am now starting from scratch trying to get this project completed. We had 3 huge projects we were planning to use Lowe's gif - canceling all. My advice - go elsewhere... this team is unethical and unprofessional. I would never work with them again read more

I rarely leave a review, but this is a rare kudo to an awesome employee. We're traveling across TX and stayed tge night in Conroe just as the extreme cold hit 2 nights ago. As temps hit the 20s we ran out of propane in the evening. Stopped by Walmart and they were sold out 9f propane bottles. Went by Lowes at 1030 and they were closed. I stopped in front of the front door and walked up to the door and a guy inside waved and noted they were closed. I asked through the door if the propane service was automated (like Walmart across the street) and he said no, I'd have to come back tomorrow. I noted I was traveling in our RV and had no heat, which he said was unfortunate. I agreed and went back and got in my truck. As I was driving off he opened the door and waved me down. He said he would take care of me and had me cone inside, where he signed in to one of them registers and sold me two full bottles, then went outside and helped me load them up in the truck. First, apparently Lowe's website is designed to make posting a review next to impossible! I've looked and looked and can't find where to post one. My complaint has more to do with after the sale customer service - I recently purchases the "Allen & Roth - 5 pc woven conversation set" at the Conroe Lowe's. One of the cushions was sown upside down - leaving the zipper and tag on top and visible. I called the number on the paper work that came with the set - I talked to a gal that gave me a Ref #. BTW.. the canned message before I finally got thru actually asked that, due to covid, I try to resolve any problems later!! When is later? Doesn't say when that might be, nor does it suggest other avenues, just says not right now folks (I assume hoping we'll forget and go away). Anyway, the person told me that the manufacturer would call me back within two business days to help me get a replacement. They did not call (that was mid August). I called again two weeks later - was told they were sorry their computers were down - but they took my number and promised to call me back the next day. That was on Sep 1st, this is the 17th - they still have not called. Each time I've called I've had to wait 45 min to an hour to talk to a representative - I believe I have done more than I should have had to do to get a replacement cushion! My advice - make sure what you've purchased is 100% okay before leaving the store - even if that means opening it in the parking lot - after purchase service is nonexistent. BTW... I gave 2 stars because I do like the set - just wish it didn't have the flaw. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. By far the worst Lowe's I have ever "worked" with.. We came in, ordered 2 pre-hung doors, and 108 bags of concrete and needed them delivered on Sunday for contractors that were going to be out on our property Monday morning. Time frame was 12-4pm for delivery. At 3:45 still nothing so we called. Someone on their end went into the system and changed our delivery date to Tuesday without even so much as a phone call to us. We spent an hour going back and forth until they finally confirmed they would come out first thing Monday morning. Monday morning rolled around and NOTHING!!!! They went in and changed our delivery AGAIN without notifying us! Our contractors needed the material and now we will get back charged. The bill is going to Lowe's!!!! We went to look at their refrigerators and found two different ones we wanted. Both of the fridges they didn't have in stock. We spoke with the manager, David, who is extremely rude and very unprofessional. He told us there was nothing he could do or would do to help us. We ended up leaving that Lowe's and called the Lowe's on college park drive. They were able to get the refrigerator we wanted from there warehouse. Purchased a washer they couldn't deliver it when online said they would. So they said they would deliver it on the 4th of July. Waited all day and then they brought a damaged washer and refused to install. They told me I had to call the store. I spent over an hour being transfered back and forth between departments and they would just put me on hold say they can't find a manager then tell me to hold again. Them finally found one he answers and puts me on hold. Then leaves me on hold for 45 minutes and never answers. So I guess I paid 1,000 but don't get a washer unless I drive to the store and find a manager that will speak with me. This is the worst customer experience I have ever had. Happy 4th of July to me and my disabled veteran. We had to drive to the store and get Andrew the manager ended up helping us but we had to purchase another one and wait on reinforcement. However, due to the extremely friendly and "above and beyond" customer service we received when we came in to purchase a gas range...I have changed my review to reflect this. I purchased a washer and dryer from Norman at Conroe Lowes on Sunday, 4/2, and he scheduled a delivery time of 4/3 after 1600. Later that evening, I received a call stating that my delivery time was between 0900-1300 on 4/3. I contacted Beatrice at scheduling, who said to tell the driver the next day to deliver after 1600 since there was a note. On 4/3, the driver contacted me and stated he was on his way, and I asked if he could please deliver after 1600; as stated on the ticket. He transferred me to dispatch, who said they could not deliver at the scheduled time. I was transferred to several people before a supervisor named Oz stated she would deliver my washer and dryer on 4/4 after 1600. On 4/4, the delivery driver called me to say he was on the way to my house at 1000. I explained the situation and was able to get reconnected with Oz, who stated she did not know what the mix-up was and that they were supposed to deliver after 1600. She said she would look into this and get back to me....it is now 6 hours later, and I have not been contacted. I contacted Nick at dispatch again, who stated he could not help or transfer me to a supervisor (he said he did not have the capability). I have just gotten off the phone with the corporate office, who states they see the open complaint and have forwarded it to a senior supervisor at Conroe to help better serve me. I still have not heard from any senior supervisor at Conroe Lowes. There is zero accountability for the service Lowe's provides. Conroe Lowes is quick to sell you a product and take your money but does not follow through with the delivery. Now to my other concern. I contacted customer service and spoke to Carmalita on 4/2, the most unprofessional individual I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to. I requested several times to speak to a supervisor because I was getting nowhere with her. She could not fix the situation, so why not transfer me to someone who could help? She repeatedly yelled at me and refused to connect me with a supervisor. We even got disconnected on a couple of occasions, and I am sure not by mistake. I feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with her personally. She needs retraining on professionalism and appropriately communicating when speaking to people. Finally, I talked to a very nice manager Andrew who stated he could not do anything but call back and speak to a manager in the morning. I have called back and have been transferred to Mack and Andy on several occasions, but neither one picked up the phone or returned my phone call. I am sure not all Lowes are this way. I have been to several fantastic Lowes but do not recommend the Conroe Lowes to anyone. read more

I was supposed to have my delivery on Sunday... morning the guy said kore than likely Monday...so I waited. 2pm came still no delivery. I called the store....no answer. Called back 2 more times...someone finally picks up but only to be placed on hold. Someone else picks up...don't even get a chance to repeat my concern...she just puts me hold. Then someone else picks up...I repeat my concern again...without warning she transfers me. That person answers...she can't look up my account and says I have to contact the store. (Which is where I initially called). I call the store back...someone answers....I repeat again...placed on hold for 20 minutes....then she picks up again...she can't find my order...finally finds it and then says "let me contact appliances". On hold for another 20 minutes just so she can tell me..."it will be delivered on Wednesday because the truck is full" So I told her "no it's not my fault that it wasn't placed on the truck, I need it no later than Tuesday" she puts me on hold midway as I'm talking...so now I'm really pissed off. As I arrived to the store she says " I can't put it for tomorrow, it won't allow me to" So I tell her "that's fine, I'm walking into the store now" I spoke to a supervisor, and asked "where the miscommunication was because I didn't understand why it took almost an hour so someone can tell me I wouldn't be getting my delivery until Wednesday!" There customer service is so Effin ridiculous. Whomever answered the phone when I called needs some serious training. That is what pissed me off the most....NO COMMUNICATION!! So frustrated with their customer service. Went in and bought a fridge over a month ago, set up a delivery date. Got no call to confirm delivery so the day before delivery was scheduled tried to call to confirm. Shipping desk never answered the phone. Finally got someone at the appliances desk who looks dup the order and said it was backordered for three weeks. She was quite polite and apologized that no-one had called us and promised to have a manager call. Never got that call. Ok, so 2 1/2 weeks later I'm calling again to see if I can confirm delivery. This time the delivery desk picked up and immediately put me on hold without warning. Waited on hold for 7 minutes then got some clicking noises and a dead line. Called back and said I was trying to find the status of our delivery but got put on hold and then cut off, so I was trying again. It sounded like the same person that I talked to the first time today, so I thought she might recognize the call. Nope, she said "ok" and dumped me on hold again. Conroe tx lowes! Went to the garden section looking for plants. I just move to tx 3mos ago and im coming from PA so not sure how weather is here. So i asked the older blonde employee if this one plant was an annual or perennial cause it wasnt marked she told me that everyone has a cell phone nowadays open it up and type it in. Didn't tell me when he was going to order or if part was back order August 12 - go to Lowe's talk to manager and he gave me number 3rd party company August 15- finally get a answer from 3rd party company... part back order Started calling Lowe's warranty company and no one would answer Went back to Lowe's talk to assistant manager ... he got ahold of someone and said they would call me on Monday Monday came... lady called me ... said my back is back order till 8/18 ... I told her I know that and it's now 8/19 . Any news ? ... she said oh I guess I should have called the other company before calling you ... never heard back from her 8/29 - parts come in and they come to house ... BUT now the new mother board has burned the motor ... or he thinks ... haven't heard a word back . 8/29 ... call Lowe's warranty ... talk to them ... and then they hang up on me ... saying I'm going to just have to wait ... they don't want to hear how many days it is . 8/29 ... call Lowe's 5 times ... finally got ahold of the manager ... the manager said there is nothing he can do but he did write an email to Lowe's Warranty leadership team ... they are suppose to call me ... 9/2 - haven't heard a peep ! Lowe's The bottom line is I paid for item at Lowe's. While I was at store buying the. Items ( totaling over $300). When I discovered that I didn't have the items I called the store was told by a manager that at my Lea sure I could bring the recite and I would be refunded for the items I was missing and would be given a copy of the recite for the 300 dollars scroll saw that I purchased. When I went to the store the manager I spoke with whose name was Mike didn't exist.. I explained what I needed and was told that I was lying about not getting the items and they would be no refund. I called Corporate and was given a run around and never given an answer but hung up on twice and once they did answer I was told that they would contact the manager and make sure it didn't happen to anyone else. Such Incompetent people work at this location. There was a return that my husband mad made a few days ago, for some reason the transaction amount was put back onto an in-store credit card vs my debit card for an Insurance claim. My husband got so frustrated with trying to make the return of the items, he just settled for the in-store credit figured it would be a easy fix another day since he had our kids with him at the time. Today I went in to try and correct the error with the in-store credit amount I needed to get to be put back into the insurance account. The manager was not helpful, told the customer service person to call IT and see if they can figure it out. They said if they would've called that day then it would've been fine. So now I am stuck with an in-store credit of $168 that I can't turn into the insurance company. When I tried to use the in-store credit, the card was locked because the original customer service representative that made the return did not enter and the drivers license number correctly. So I had to spend additional 30 minutes at the store location yesterday and had to have the entire card reset. This has been one issue after another to the point where I do not even want to go to the store anymore, I'd rather drive to the Woodlands or a different location in order to make a purchase.
