I felt like this HL was better stocked than most I have been to recently, and more specifically they have better quality items/clear the broken or damaged items from their shelves. Lots of time when you go to HL, you pick up a cute trinket or decor only to find one side of it is damaged, and usually that means it is the last one on the shelf. No such (bad) luck here, at least when I went. Like most HLs, the checkout line is a bit of a pain, but the joy of shopping and all the good chemicals that come with crafty retail therapy are well worth it. read more

Moving. Why is it that when one moves and gets rid of so much, there is inevitably something new needed? Well, Hobby Lobby has great knobs (a good selection, not all so perfect), but a nice enough section to pick from for bathroom cabinets. I found a new lamp shade for a lamp I already had, but needed a little something different. The only negative I found this time was having to go to 6 Hobby Lobby stores to get the quantity of knobs I needed. Cons: some cashiers have a hard time on returns. I guess some of the younger years weren't taught Mathematics the way we were. Other than that, I love the music they play and are closed on Sunday. read more

I have shopped at this store for ages now and never have I had a terrible experience like I did today. I found "clearance items" that would fit my home so I took them to the register. They were clearly marked 1.99 but the cashier refused to sell for the price stating "It's obviously miss marked" It wasn't obvious to me. I spoke to the manager and was told "I do NOT have to sell anything". What? He accused me of changing the price stating "Anyone could have done that?" He GUARANTEED it was NOT one of his employees beyond a shadow of a doubt. I get that 1.99 to 3.99 is not that big of a deal and under normal circumstances I would not have thought twice. But the attitude and accusations were just too much. I cannot believe the manager or the clerk fighting over such a small amount when I had enough merchandise to bring my total well over $100.00. What this has guaranteed is that Michael's will now get my business as the manager, John (said to be "General manager) clearly has no clue about communication skills or customer service. read more

Seems like this is the only HL for this area. Like any other of their stores, there is always something on sale. The only difference I noticed was that their clearance area actually had usable items. Almost none were broken. I hate this about HL, how they seem to think it is acceptable to sell a vase that's missing a chunk or a bird house with missing parts. Really people? Anyway, this store did had some nice items on clearance. I also noticed they don't have as much framed art as other stores. There wasn't much variety. Air conditioner didn't seem to be working properly and it was awfully hot. Cashier was not sweetest peach on the tree. read more

My husband has been picking up my crafting items as I'm in active quarantine during the pandemic due to my autoimmune disease. He was told by a store associate that a scrap pack would be the best bet for my supplies to make my toddler a purse. Upon opening it, it was not so I put everything back together to return. The manager accused my husband of stealing fabric and refused to return it despite him asking them to weigh it then to prove he didn't. We will now be going to michaels for all of our crafting needs especially after customer service was zero help. read more

On 22/05/22 I returned 2 packs, set of four, placements at the Tomball store. I did not check my receipt until I returned home. I initially thought I did not get refunded, however, it turned out I was refunded for one set. An asst. manager wanted details as to date of purchase, store number and register number. She wanted the same info for the return. She called me back, which I appreciate. However, after looking at film she was adamant that I only returned one pack. I checked my car and there was nothing in it. I asked her if she spoke to the cashier and she said she did, and she (the cashier) did not remember 2 packs. This is the person who only gave me a refund for one set, so you can take that with a grain of salt. I told the manager it didn't make sense that I only returned one set. That they were stacked on top of each other. Since the items were not still by the cash register she was going by the film she reviewed. When I realized that she was not going to budge I ended the call. It's only $6.40 that is not going to break me. But I can't believe Hobby Lobby would treat a customer like that. So BEWARE check you receipts before you leave. Don't worry about the people waiting behind you. If you are not sure about something ask the cashier to explain it to you. I love Hobby Lobby, Tomball. This store is wonderful, clean, orderly, the best Hobby Lobby in the whole wide world! The employees are so helpful and are real jewels. The gentleman that decorates the entrance is excellent. A while ago I had $1,500 of picture framing done and those frames are perfect. The framing guy was so patient as he helped me choose the perfect frames to go with each picture. I reside in The Woodlands and drive to Tomball just to shop at that lovely store. read more

I bought art for my garden wall at Hobby Lobby in Tomball and wanted to spray a coating on the pieces to protect them from the weather. When I asked an employee for a product to do this, she treated me like pond scum. When I found what I needed, it was in a locked display with the spray paint. Someone told me that she probably thought I was going to use the spray for illegal purposes. So I was being profiled by an uneducated, untrained, retail employee. Thank goodness for amazon.com.
