Cant say enough about the entire team at Conroe door &Hardware. From first entering the store and Britney greeting us, she showed my wife all the choices and selections for a new front entry door! Tommy and Jenna were always ready with updates and scheduling calls. And Pablo and Philaberto, theres a TEAM! They work like a scrub nurse and a surgeon, not many words were spoken but they just clicked along, never tripping over any equipment or each other ! THank you all - momma loves her new door ! Recently bought a replacement front entry door. They sales person was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Answered all of my questions and helped me select a door that fit my needs. They took all the dimensions from the old door and cut the hinge pockets and door hardware openings to match the existing door! I would highly recommend this company for your door needs. read more

I purchased 3 1/2 French doors. Even though 6 years has gone by and they're sticking, leaking and its hinges are rusted, I thought I would get them back out to repair them. I fully expected to pay them for the repairs, since they're the ones who custom made them. My main purpose was to order two exterior doors and a barn style swinging bathroom door. I visited the showroom. Everything appeared to be going smoothly until I hadn't heard back about a time to look at the repairs and measure up for new doors. So I called and then I was told they couldn't schedule for several months. They couldn't then build it for even months longer. I wondered why they were playing hard ball. They don't want my business. Then I recalled I gave them a one star six years ago for telling me their French doors had a primer coat. So I hired a painter and relayed that info. He painted the doors ($$$) and three days later the paint was peeling off because THERE WAS NO PRIMER COAT as I was told by CONROE DOOR. We had to sand the paint off. This was so expensive. THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. Unethical. read more

Most of the Staff here is very condesending! They act like your annoying them when you ask for help. I can't believe this is Conroe, Normally ppl here are super friendly! But not this place. How they stay in business is a mystery based on some of the same reviews I see here! I will take my business somewhere else, where they treat you like they appreciate your business! read more

Helpful staff and varied selection of doors and hardware. All price ranges from cheap to expensive. You can order doors from a catalog or they will custom make one in their shop. Prices are comparable to big-box stores, and in some cases are less - however selection is much better. Note you must have patience as they are a small family run shop are usually busy, but they are very helpful and know their products. read more

If i could give ZERO stars i would! The establishment is nice and the prices are great but the customer service is AWFUL! It was as if i was a stain that they were unable to remove from their expensive rug. I was pleasant and nice of course, and expected the same courtesy being that I am the CUSTOMER. Here is what happened: My husband sent me to this store to pick up something for some wood for a project that we are doing around the house. I walked in and the lady behind the counter seemed irritated that i was there, i explained what i needed and asked her if she could cut the wood. With an attitude she replied "i mean.. we can cut it." as if it was a bother. I noticed that there were several other services offered and i inquired about the windows, she informed me that there was a 10 month waiting period so i shouldn't even bother unless it is a "big" job. Then she told me the total, i handed her my card, she handed it back no.. "thank you for your business...have a good day..NOTHING" Then she preceded to say "ok well, drive around back and the next building will get it for you." I drive around back there is no one there waiting to help me so I walked into a building to the left no one was there, i then walked into the building to the right there were about six guys laughing having a good time. I waved and said "hello, is someone able to assist me in fulfilling this order." The man looked at me, walked over and SNATCHED my receipt and said on that is for this guy (he pointed to another man a few feet away). The next guy took the receipt from him and i followed him to the next building to get the wood cut. Again no, "thank you for your business..NOTHING" So rude, I would have given them what they wanted and just have not done business there but my husband asked me to do this favor for him so i did it. I will NEVER return to this store again or spend a dime. Not sure if they are racist or just not friendly, but my husband said that they were friendly to him ( he is white) and they were awful with me ( i am black). The only "thank you" that came out of that experience was from me the customer! NEVER AGAIN i would rather pay three times the price and do business with decent people. read more

Went into Conroe Door in December 2013 for a quote on a fire rated door for my business. The two men behind the counter were very unprofessional and rude. Quote for door was $1200. I went and purchased the same door from Home Depot for less than $600. read more

If there was a way to give this place zero stars I would. We visited this place on a Friday afternoon and the lady, whom never gave her name, seemed so annoyed that we were there. I have never been around a sales person that has zero personality and frankly just plain rude. She, blonde/gray haired, blues eyes, medium build, needs to find a job where she has no people contact. Went to Conroe Door to get a quote. The man and women (owners?) behind the counter never smiled, nor did they greet me in any way. BOTH looked at me as if I were bothering them. I like shopping local business instead of chains and I found this place. I purchased 2 beautiful doors. They negotiated with me and not using a charge card saved me money.
