Javier came out and replaced 4 windows for me. Milstead Glass had very reasonable rates (I got quotes from 5 glass companies). But, most importantly, they were able to match the trim around the windows to the existing trim! Other companies were unable to match this trim. Javier was highly professional, replaced the four panes quickly and cleaned up around the work space nicely. He as a good man and pleasant to work with. I cannot recommend Milstead Glass highly enough! If you read my other reviews, you will see that all glass companies are not created the same! I will always call Milstead Glass FIRST! read more

Quick, efficient employees. Very respectful and timely. They always take care of me and my clients!

Used them for downstairs master bath enclosure, upstairs walk in bath glass walls, office cabinet door glass with inside glass shelf. Everything fits, a few glitches but they got them resolved. read more

I contacted three other glass places prior to contacting Milstead due to their Yelp reviews; none of the other places replied to my request. When I submitted an on line request to Milstead, I was contacted right away and was able to get an appointment the next day. They arrived during the appointment window and were fast and courteous. I only needed the glass replaced in a broken window (a simple job), so I was glad Milstead made it a simple process. I would definitely use them again. read more

The only glass company I use. Best prices and great quality.

I used Milstead glass 5 years ago when I renovate both my bathrooms. I used my master bath and never ventured into my house bath shower. After my pipes burst in my master I began using the house bath shower. The door is frameless and it clanged and shook loudly when trying to open or close, shaking the entire structure. There was also no sweep along the bottom which explained the puddle of water outside on the tile. I went to the showroom and they said because it was 5 years earlier they would have to charge me for the service as well as the sweep. Seems to me I paid for that sweep and never got it 5 years earlier. It took the technicians no more then 10 min to readjust the door and place the sweep and the charge was $135. I will never use them again and cannot recommend them. read more

Great customer service. Even though they missed the first appointment they had a logical and acceptable explanation, it was getting late and they offered to send a crew out, I informed it would be dark and I feared for their safety as the glass in the master bedroom was shattered. They apologized and explained without fail a crew would be at my home on Friday. The crew showed up as promised and performed an excellent job. They were courteous and professional. read more

We were behind a Milstead Glass truck on I35 and a piece of glass that it was carrying sheared off and showered our car with glass shards, this caused significant damage. We submitted an estimate for what it would take to fix the damage (as requested by a Milstead employee) and after several follow-up emails we have not been contacted. This company cannot be trusted. read more

Protex Lawn & Landscaping does the lawncare for my townhouse complex. During weedwhacking last week, a pebble was accidentally shot through my front window. Protex contacted Milstead to make the repair. Arnold showed up exactly at the time I was told, replaced the glass with no problem -- even though my window was a bit of an antique. He explained what he was doing, whipped the window back into shape, and cleaned up afterward. Kudos to Arnold, Milstead and Protex!!! I couldn't have asked for more from any of them! read more

We have been using Milstead Glass for over 25 years. We wouldn't consider using anyone else. From something as small as replacing glass in a patio table to 2 custom frameless showers we have never, ever been disappointed in the service or quality of workmanship. Ken and Faye give 110% to their business and they expect the same from those that work with them. Over the years they have grown and expanded and the volume of work is unbelievable but they have always maintained superior customer service and workmanship. One of our favorites, is Steve. He has so much patience, a ready smile and he will not leave a job until everything is right! Office personnel are always a delight when scheduling. Windshield replacement, they have made our life so much easier more than once. The windshield is put in, secured and away I go! And I would be amiss if I didn't mention how careful they are when working in our home. My wife is a "neat freak" and I say that lovingly but it is very hard for workers in our home to please her. The Milstead guys ALWAYS have booties for over the shoes, drop cloths, vacuum and glass cleaner when they enter your home. I don't want to forget to mention, the Home Décor side of the showroom. My wife says she can find the right gift for any occasion every time plus something she needs as well. Need auto or residential glass.....you can't miss with Milstead Glass & Home Décor. Brought my aquarium to get holes drilled in, marked with marker at the size and where I needed them drilled. Proceeded to drill the holes to small and wipe of the marker. ignoring the fact that they were to small. Then proceeded to instead of fixing the mistake the same day, push the project back three days later due to "having other projects". So now my fish are sitting in buckets an Extra 2 days due to their carelessness. read more

I have used them several times for window and door glass repairs and recently had my windshield replaced. They came to my place of work and did it in the parking lot (saved the license sticker and replace rear view mirror just fine). It looks perfect; the service techs were friendly and helpful. Their store on Honea Egypt has some really cool stuff in it. Highly recommend! read more

Ordered 5 pieces of glass to go on top of furniture. Took much longer to get the glass than I was told when I ordered, but it's a COVID time, so okay everything is taking longer. When I got there, only 4 pieces of glass were cut and ready. Waited 10 minutes for the 5th piece to be cut. When he loaded it, he noticed that the size was off. After remeasuring all of the glass, 3 of the 5 pieces were not the size as ordered. Waited 40 minutes for 3 pieces to be cut. When you are on hold with this company, the recording says they built their business one customer at a time. That wasn't the feeling I got today when spending $350 with them. I won't go back. read more

I used one of their storage facilities for about a year and it couldn't have gone any better. They were extremely nice to deal with and when my credit card on file expired, they kindly gave me a call to get a new one. Always courteous to speak with. Look out New Owner's Not the same! I own a commercial business. They no longer back up their work. They never return calls and give you the run around after they take your money! Do not recommend! read more

I've used Milstead several times and they have been professional and efficient in my home. My review now pertains to a young man who works the front desk and is rather rude and not helpful at all. I took a piece of glass there to be cut down, and he wasn't friendly or helpful and I ended up picking the piece up to find someone else to do it. read more

I REGRET ever choosing Milstead Glass to replace my cracked windshield. They sent 2 techs to my house to replace the windshield in my driveway on a Friday afternoon. I had asked the tech if they were going to be able to save my inspection sticker and EZ Tag sticker so they could be put onto the new windshield. He said "we can't guarantee that they will be saved, but 9 out of 10 times, it works." I said, ok. I stood outside and watched them for a few minutes, trying to trust them. One of the techs came over to speak to me and said, "Ma'am, do you want the good news or the bad news first?" He said, "we were able to get the stickers off and put onto the new windshield, but the bad news is, the windshield that was originally ordered didn't have the rain sensors, and we just SO happen to have "another" windshield on the truck that fits your AUDI and it has the rain sensor. Also, we had to take your old rear view mirror and bracket off because the new windshield didn't have a bracket on it. We are gluing the bracket onto the new windshield, but you will not be able to put the rear view mirror (clip into place) on for at least 48 hours because the adhesive has to dry." He said it is easy to clip on, but if I wanted Milstead to do it, I would have to call them after the weekend, on Monday morning to schedule an appointment, I couldn't just stop by the shop. I was upset about not having a rear view mirror in my car for the next 3 days, but I dealt with it. After eyeballing the placement of the windshield, the techs manually placed the windshield in the tracks. The techs covered the top, bottom and sides of the windshield, plus the tracks with blue tape, in a big rectangle. When we took the tape off late Sunday night, there was a VISIBLY nice size rock chip in the upper right hand side of the windshield and the windshield was not the right size. The windshield is too small and doesn't fit the track as the windshield should. It looks like they shaved or cut the glass to try and make it fit and covered up their mistakes with blue tape. I didn't expect a used and damaged windshield. We called Milstead on Monday morning to let them know, but the person we were supposed to speak with wasn't in the office and we were asked to call back Tuesday. I went up to the Audi dealership and took pictures of what the windshield should look like and compared it to the windshield that tech had installed. There was a BIG DIFFERENCE. We finally talked to Milstead Tuesday morning and they won't even look at what the tech installed. He said "he will rip up the check and we can find somewhere else to get it fixed, because they can't handle high end cars." I am so upset that they tried to cover their MISTAKES with blue tape. Their website says they can do foreign cars and guarantee that their work is leak proof. I now have to drive around hoping it doesn't rain because the glass doesn't fit my windshield. I am now back at square one to have my windshield replaced with another company. MILSTEAD AUTO GLASS has the worst customer service ethics I have ever dealt with. It is hard for me to believe that they will not even look at the windshield and have sent me on my way. Their answer is to just say they are done. Buyer beware of MILSTEAD AUTO GLASS. read more
