We came here to pick up all of our supplies for the holiday yard project. For it being a holiday the store was well staffed and the staff was very attentive. I can't remember when was the last time I've had so many employees ask if we needed help or if there was anything they can do for us. Washer and dryer delivery keeps getting delayed. No one has reached out, and customer service is no help. Keep getting put on hold.

Terrible! Bought a $2,000 refrigerator that broke in 5 months. Called their warranty department who came out and said they needed to order the part. After 21 days and 6 calls trying to see if the part came in, I heard nothing! I called Lowe's and was told sorry there's nothing we can do, you have to go to whirlpool! I'm not one to really write reviews but this store/retail has terrible customer service. Highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. Got a delivery scheduled for a high priced item? They will say they are coming, no one comes. You have to chase them down and even when they say they will have it delivered the next day, call and check because sure as heck they don't have it planned for a truck. Want to talk to a manager? I bought a small evergreen tree last year, and half of it turned brow and died. I stopped this Lowes this morning with the empty tree bucket and bar code sticker on outside of the bucket. I showed a lady at Customer Servive photos of the 1/2 dead tree. She then scan the bar code and the my Debit card, Said it was on my card, and I just needed to bring the tree back for a refund. I did this 1/2 hr later snd "Lupita" at Customer Service told me the tree purchase was Not on my card, & there was nothing else she could do. She said no one had previously told me it was on my card. I got irritated and after a long time she found a different register that Said the purchasers with her Was on my Debit card. I had to do a return today and Alyssa was friendly and very attentive taking care of me today. No one was able to cut new keys for me so Alyssa was multi tasking by helping me cut keys and watching the return lines. Horrible customer service in the flooring department. Bait and switch techniques used to up sell. Summer, in the flooring department, is rude to everyone. Complete incompetence from the managers down. Returned $10,000 worth of flooring and went somewhere else. Absolute disgrace. After they get your money the customer service shuts off. They never return phone calls, always on break or lunch. No one knows anything about your orders. They added $3000.00 to our job after we signed the contract. Managers don't care. I emailed and talked to several and they do nothing to help. Managers and employees don't communicate. 30 days of my house having no floors and living out of boxes is all their fault. I called Lowes tonight to find out about my existing window blind order. I got the operator and asked for window coverings. After about 40 seconds to 1 minute I was rotated back to the operator. I asked the same thing again and back to the operator a second time. Now I ask for a manager. the manager, Carl, answered and then proceeded to send me to Millworks. Millworks sends me back to the operator and the operator then sent me back to lighting which sent me back to the operator. I asked for a second manager. ok, you guess. Yep. Back to the operator. Purchased a nice granite countertop from the Clovis, Ca Lowe's. They outsourced to a company in Modesto, Ca. Granite arrive on time and looked good. But then they drilled 2.5" when direction they had for the sink drain called for 1.5". At first the company was going to replace the countertop, but then they only wanted to epoxy the holes and drill correct size holes. Went to Lowe's, after calling multiple times with no return calls, and at first they agreed with me, but then the manager stepped in and said no, do what the granite company wanted to do. Argued for over 30 minutes but to no avail. He was illogical with no good reasoning. Bottom line...poor customer service! Now I stick with Home Depot and Ace Hardware. Much better customer service. Completed most of my bathroom renovation at HD. Bye Lowe's! read more

Lowe's has so much potential. Terrific store, but tired and at times grumpy employees, and too few of them!! If you know what you're doing and can get past talking to anyone, or not asking an employee to get stock down from above to repopulate the regularly empty shelf, your set!! For anyone else, *gasp* good luck! For any person perhaps a little less hands-on or experienced with DIY to where you would need to ask for significant guidance from the former coffee shop employee who decided to give the Lowe's gig a shot and put on a red vest in between cigarette and cell phone breaks, you might just want to do a cursory review of your insurance declaration and fully understand that deductible.... before you start seeking electrical panel advice from a culinary arts sophomore just pivoting from a short-lived barista career. Lowe's generally has (rather sells) what you need - it's just not on the shelf. Lowe's has a very hidden area..... it's up above in master cartons, untouched waiting for a brave customer to dare ask someone to grab one of the famous staircase ladders and reluctantly grab a master carton of what you need from a box. I'm always asking them to take stuff down. Their secret: don't stock shelves - make the customers do the hard work and the robots will pull the box down after verbal programming. If you have a an alternate option where to purchase large appliances from, please go with it. Lowes has provided me one of the worst experiences ever with purchasing this fridge! First, I bought this fridge on a Black Friday sale, and the day before the sale ends they randomly cancel the order. If I hadn't been paying attention to it then I would've been out of luck and had to pay full price. Second, after I re-place the order, they tell me it is no longer available for over a month, nevermind the one I had reserved in the first place. Third, the fridge FINALLY arrives, I plug it in, but it doesn't work...brand new unit and it won't cool, and my old fridge has already been hauled off. I call LG and they advise having it replaced because there are no service techs in my area. Fourth, I call Lowe's they will not place an order for a new one until they pick up the old one and what they want to do is to simply give me a refund so "I" can re-purchase a new unit, but the sale price will not be honored, and once again the replacement is not available for over a month! Every time I call and talk to someone, I am told that my "case" is being escalated and I will receive a call back from management, but I have yet to ever receive a call back. So now I am still living without a refrigerator, I've lost $300 in groceries, missed a day of work because they would not pick up the busted refrigerator on a Saturday like I asked, and what has Lowe's done to remedy any of this? They offered a $25 gift card for my inconvenience. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go elsewhere for your appliances. read more

After spending thousands of dollars buying supplies at Lowe's, they were over a week late with the products that I ordered. After being told that my order was in, I went to pick up my products, even calling an hour ahead of time to ensure my order was ready to be picked up. Once I was there, I had to wait two hours, being sent from section to section of the store, only to be told they didn't have my order. This place is a disorganized mess. Be sure to double check your order it's the right one and it's going to be delivered!! They couldn't find my order after 20 minutes of looking!! Compare your order number with what they have to verify!!! Don't believe everything they tell you on early delivery or appliance install: First, I got a call they would deliver in the morning. Nope. Showed up in the afternoon. They called me, not the other way around. Why did even bother calling to deliver early ? Second, They were supposed to do the install and hookup on the washer and dryer. We will be having carpet put on our stairs marble to carpet which was disclosed to chris .we selected carpet , padding and had a person come into measure. On 11-4 -20 I got a call to disclose final cost of 660.33 . I had to open my mouth and confirm something like the haul away and was it included and he said no it wasn't so our bill went up to 949.00 . The reason chris caught this was because of me and I was not given the honored price of 660.33 after I agreed to this price first then in a matter of 1 minute it raised. We had Lowes do a large modernization project in our home replacing cabinets, countertops, backsplash and flooring in our kitchen plus walk-in tub and shower in our bathrooms. Their design consultant, Kelley guided us through an endless array of choices and she and Katrece helped ride herd on the various contractors involved. It was a long process but we're delighted with the end results and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

Not he best Lowes I have been to. The parking lot is very small with tons of blind spots which makes it very hard to get in and out of. The staff are not the most knowledgeable people and always seem to be busy when you need help. The store was clean and seemed to be well maintained, but just nothing special. Just a massive, 25,000 s.f. home improvement project center, albeit with better lighting and wider isles than Home Depot. I've also found their store a bit easier to navigate that their orange-and-brown brethren down the street, and their checkout process is a lot quicker. I went there two summers ago to buy a stackable washer and dryer. My laundry room is literally a converted closet, so I was in the market for a small, HE front loader with a matching dryer. I did some research on line, and I had a couple of models in mind when I arrived at Lowes with a friend. Of course, this being America where bigger is always always always better, the vast majority of washers and dryers on offer were massive. Who needs a dryer with a drum the size of a ferris wheel? Apparently, lots of folks think they do. Anywho... I was shown one front-loading washer and dryer set that fit the size specification (a Whirlpool LG, if you must know) I needed. Trouble was, it looked more like an under-the-counter set than a stackable unit. "This is stackable?" I asked. "Oh, yes," the salesman replied. Skeptical , I went home and tried to do a little research on this model before I plunked down my $1,300. Whirlpool's website was less than helpful, and they never responded to my email (a harbinger of things to come, but that's another Yelp missive). I tried a few more appliance stores around Fresno and Clovis, but I couldn't find anything that came close in size and energy efficiency of the Whirlpool Lowes carried, so back to Lowes I went the following Saturday morning. "You're sure I can stack the dryer on top of the washer?" I asked again. "Because I don't have the space to put them side by side." "Oh, yes," a different salesman replied. "Do I need additional hardware, like an anchoring kit?" I asked. "Everything you need comes with the units," he assured me. The contractor doing my remodeling was skeptical. "Looks like they're under the counter machines if you ask me," he commented. "There's no anchoring kit in any of these boxes, and the washer doesn't have little cups at the top to hold the dryer's feet." Well, he was right. When the inaugural load hit the spin cycle, the dryer did a merry jig from its perch atop of the washer. It scared the bejesus out of my cats, and I had to literally hold the dryer in place until the load was done. And I then had to pay my contractor an additional $200 to come back out and jerry rig some metal braces to hold the two units together. Grrr, grrr, grrr, and a big, fat hiss to Lowes. read more

This was an all time worst experience! I went in with my wife and two sons (one 4 years old and one 11 months old) looking for some replacement light bulbs and to get some energy efficient Christmas Lights. My replacement bulbs were the type that have the two prongs at the end and we couldn't locate the right size. There were three employees in the isle helping a single person. She wanted to get a 2-pack of florescent lights but they only had single packs in stock. I think they were trying to give her the 2-pack price or something. We asked one of the three employees who seemed to be just standing there if he knew which bulb I was looking for. He told me he would help after they were done helping the other customer. "um okay", I thought but it seemed weird. So my 4 year old was super excited about Christmas lights and was misbehaving. We picked out the lights and went to self checkout. During this time, my 11month old son fell asleep in the carrier (we had placed the carrier in the basket). So my oldest son was acting up and my wife took him to the car while I checked out. $144 later, I was about to exit when an employee walks up to me and asks me if I scanned everything. I tell her, "Yes, I paid for everything." She says, "I know you paid but did you scan everything?" I tell her yes. Again she asks and I again tell her yes. She they asks a different way and I again tell her yes. Finally I say, "I don't know what you're getting at and start walking out. She then tells me to stop and asks for my receipt. At this point I realize she thinks I was stealing and I was upset. First that I was being accused of stealing and second that I didn't want my 11month old to wake up and scream all the way home. I tell her No and she threatens to call LP (I assume that is loss prevention) as she follows me. I tell her, "Go right ahead" and walk out the door. She then grabs her radio and calls for security or whatever. I didn't want to cause a scene but I was ready have one because 1. I didn't steal anything and 2. My wife (who was waiting at the car) is an attorney and would have ruined that employees day. I had just spend almost $150 on LED lights and I was the one being accused of theft? I am going to stick with that Orange Place from now on. read more
