Today is Saturday, May 9, 2026 1:45 PM I visited the Lowe's in Clinton recently, specifically at the mulch loading area in front of the nursery, and I had a very disappointing experience. There were two employees working: one driving a forklift and another younger guy loading items. The younger employee didn't offer any guidance when I needed help leaving the store after my purchase. When an older employee asked him what I needed, he just shrugged, smirked, and essentially ignored me. I expected better customer service, especially in a busy area like that. I hope this can be improved for future customers. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the countertop installation I received from Lowe's. The countertop was installed with visible cracks, which is completely unacceptable for a professional job. I have contacted Lowe's multiple times about this issue and have received no response or follow-up. This lack of communication and accountability is beyond frustrating. I paid for quality work and expected the job to be done right the first time. Lowe's needs to take responsibility, fix the problem immediately, and deliver the service they promised. Customers deserve better than to be ignored after paying for work that is done with low quality. Lowe's contractor was Solid Image the worker was very rude. On June 9th 2026 while trying to buy a tool that was locked in a cage I proceeded to ask for assistance from the cashier's to call someone who worked in that section. They called over the store intercom and I waited. I went back after approximately 15 minutes and asked again which they did, but still no one came to assist me. I walked over to another cashier and they located MR. Don the Store manager who was walking down an aisle. He was saying something to the cashier but never came to help so I walked over to him and asked if someone was able to help me get a tool which I had been waiting for since 630. He stated someone is assigned to tools at 6 am but just attempted to stare me down and just continue looked at me until I said what are you doing? can you help? He then proceeded to walk up and pass me looking for the person who supposed to work the section and then says he probably in the bathroom you that happens from time to time and finally opens the lock himself (@ 0709 he decided to help) asked me what register I was using and walks the item to the cashier and tells the cashier the person working in the tools section was in the bathroom which he never verified just made it up. This was very unprofessional and unnecessary. What he could have done is apologized for my waiting and asked how he could assist from the start. He didn't have to start looking for the employee because he knew the combination so he could have helped me and then went to check on his employee to find out what was going on. read more

I debated long and hard before posting this because I know it's petty but I'm very salty and my desire to vent hasn't gone away yet. I bought a refrigerator on 7/10/24 and received a $5 reward that was good for 30 days. Admittedly, I waited until 8/10/24 to redeem it because I really didn't need ANYTHING but I was so looking forward to the little scrub mommy/daddy value pack I finally settled on and attempted to purchase. Unfortunately, my little $5 reward shows expired on 7/10/24 ... the SAME day it was issued and the manager was absolutely NO help. I have attached pics showing the 7/10 date my reward was issued and the 7/10 date showing already expired. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. Enough said. I feel better putting this in writing. Zero customer service or accountability. I ordered carpet, padding, and tools from the Clinton Lowe's, and took a day off work to install. I received notification that the supplies were ready for pickup and went to the store. After a 25 minute wait, they brought out a piece of carpet cut 8' shorter than what I had ordered and paid for. Had I not questioned the length, they would have let me go with it as if it was correct. When I did question it, they explained that they cut it to 10' because they only had a 15' piece in inventory (thus creating a 10' remnant and a 5' remnant). There was no logic behind this and they did not take any ownership of their error that cost me time and money. read more

One person, Avante, is great re customer service and he is in the Plumbing section. As far as Patrick in that section, and Dayna at the Customer Desk, two of the worst re responding and false expectations. I also did not care for one of the managers and the attitude she seemed to have when helping me, asking me five times for the number associated with the account I was seeking relief on. Additionally when attempting to call the store, you are subject to be hung up on more than once and could be on hold for up to an hour. It was quite stressful just to get a matter resolved. If they practiced the same customer service as the very nice, professional installers, I would not be writing this review. read more

Durrell in Customer Srvc, Ashante in Appliances, and a few other guys over the last few months really went above and beyond. And their professionalism, kindness, knowledge... good customer service is rare nowadays, so I wanna make sure I shout them out! Now, let me be clear... In all these hardware stores, there are people, especially young people that just don't have that work ethic, and they are all over. So yes, you may find yourself waiting for someone to come help you out for a while, but if you are looking for a good customer service seek out these guys. read more

They are a bunch of useless clowns here. Nobody's interested in doing their job. The Customer Service line DOES NOT pick up the phone and when they do it's usually some asshat trying to pass the buck to another asshat. On that note, avoid online orders with this location. They delivered a broken bathroom vanity and counter and it's been a nightmare trying to get someone on the phone to pick up the broken vanity and deliver one that isn't damaged. Just an overall lack of quality customer care, no pride in the work or service they offer to customers. We're talking big purchase items that aren't cheap. We're talking homeowners with contractors and expensive projects on hold bc your store can't deliver items in good shape or on time. F' this place man. read more

They need to be trained for customer service. It says in their big sign that they cut plastic and any type of glass. I tried to buy an acrylic glass that is basically next to the cutting glass. It took 15 min for someone to arrive. Only to be told they don't cut acrylic glass. I also asked an employee where an item s but all she said was it should be on the wall then she left. I just had the nicest experience in Lowe's. I must admit, this Lowe's isn't always the greatest, but Tyrone in the flooring department is an absolute gem!!! He was courteous and very patient and went above and beyond to find exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find. I mean when you have someone that says wait, let me go look again to make sure because he didn't want me to get an open box that could have missing part, that is top notch service right there!! read more

In June of 2023 we ordered a door and storm door from a sales man of Lowes we did not get delivery of the door until September of 2023 the measurements were not correct the reorder/installation of the door took until February of 2024. We have had a long rocky road with Lowes WE want some one to care about us as a customer . Don't play a player. I asked one associate where a certain brand of work gloves were and I even showed her a picture on my phone. She straight up told me, "We don't have any. Try going around the corner." And before I could ask her which corner to turn, she was gone -- later, I found her on another aisle, pretending to look busy. I know that look. I'm 40 and I spent over half my life working in retail. I asked another associate, this time a dude, and he said gloves are generally in the painting aisle. But I couldn't find the specific ones I needed. I don't blame him, though. At least he tried. That other associate, though? When I was a teenager, I put on that same act, until I matured and got professional and realized that shoppers need good customer service. Except that this broad was no young person. She was an old who had clearly given up on life. Girl, don't play a player. I needed to find a level but after two associates were unhelpful, one more unhelpful than the other, I gave up. I had taken a cart with me intending to do some browsing and perhaps some additional shopping, but I left it stranded in the middle of some random aisle where I'd gotten lost and frustrated. I straight up walked out the store. I'm never rude like that. I always put my shopping cart away proper. But y'all didn't earn my respect. Not today, and probably not ever, 'cause I ain't coming back -- and if you are a potential shopper who got this far in my review, you would do well to steer clear as well. read more

This location is a joke! Do not expect associates to assist you, or give reasonable explanations, or act like they know what curbside pick up is ever. Expect to be largely ignored, with no help on what to buy to complete your projects & to go stand on their forever long customerservice line. Save yourself the headache, got to the La Plata or Alexandria location instead where you won't have to make a dozen trips before you're even acknowledged as a person worthy of assisting. Do not ever and I mean ever buy appliances from Lowe's not unless you're having them installed and using them several times with in the same day. They only allow 48 hours for returns or exchanges. My microwave worked for 3 days then just conked out and won't power back on and the dishwasher is leaking. They need to warn people of this 48 hour rule upfront when purchasing appliances. read more

Worst Lowe's I've ever been to. I've been here several times just because it's close to home, and everytime it's a disappointing experience. The store is unorganized. The hardware section is in disarray and hardly has anything in the drawers. Went here tonight to buy a patio set and was once again let down. The employee that helped us was nice but because he wasn't qualified to operate the fork lift he needed to find someone to get the furniture down for us. We waited for an hour w no luck. I hate calling this store to ask about any product. The 3 times I called to ask about 5 gallon water (if it's in stock), someone initially answers my call and says "hold on". Then I wait on hold for 15 to 20 minutes. I hang up and I try calling back, and no one answers. The water containers are located 10 yards away from where the service desk is. What is the problem at this store that simple information can't be requested? And, it never fails, as I drive to the store to check myself, and people are just standing at the service desk talking to each other. It must be great to get paid for doing nothing. read more

the employees in this store are always willing to assist me when I ask. They have always stopped what they're doing to assist except when they're working with a customer and I'll wait or not. When I encountered staff who don't know what's in their store, if I find the product I find them and show them and tell them where it's located. most of the negative reviews I've read are due to poor management, training and oversight. The buck stops with the manager. Customer service staff are just bodies on duty. read more

This Lowe's was so refreshing! What a nice change from The Home Depot. The store was clean. The isles were clear. The shelves were well-stocked. What more can you ask for...other than what you came in for. Rest assured, they probably have it! I was happy with my visit. Friendly people always make a difference. Why is it so hard for corporate to fix this store? Contract Chick Fil A to hire and train your customer service staff. Use mystery shoppers. Work with churches and nonprofits to find mature minded people. This mess ain't hard. Lowes apparently doesn't care. If you have COVID, are immune compromised, happen to have a child with you that can't be vaccinated, or absolutely can't enter the store for a pick up, DON'T USE CURBSIDE PICKUP. The joke will be on you. They do not intend to bring your items to you. I assume they figure if you wait long enough you will go inside and wait. Also, NO ONE I mean NO ONE will answer the phone when you call. What is the point in having a customer service line? This mess is basic business. Hire people who care and have some sense. If not, DON'T offer curbside pickup and waste people's time. Lastly, if you can't have someone answer the customer service line it is clear that you have no intention of providing or attempting to provide good customer service. I ordered 2 air conditioner units online as a temporary solution to an A/C repair problem. I desired to pick them up at the Clinton, MD store. After some delay a gentleman named Manual assisted me and introduced me to a young lady named Ricki. Both exceeded my expectations to solve a problem with the pickup and availability. I ordered kitchen cabinets from Lowes in Clinton, MD on March 20th. They cost approximately $1600. When the delivery guys came, they informed me that two cabinets were not on the truck and will arrive at a later date. I opened up one of the boxes and saw that one of the cabinets was cracked. They told me to contact the store. Later, I noticed another cabinet cracked. I returned the two cracked cabinets and waited for the other two to arrive. Later, I realized that they didn't come with the counter tops. So, I returned to Lowes and paid an additional $2200 for the counter tops. When the contractors arrived to measure for the counter tops, they informed me that I needed panels for my cabinets before they could measure. I returned to Lowes to order the panels. The female who works in the cabinet section at Lowes told me that they don't have any panels. I asked her if I could order some panels. She told me that I cannot order any because there are not any panels in the warehouse. I asked when was the panels going to arrive in the warehouse. She informed me that it could be weeks or months. I asked her if I should get the panels from Home Depot. She told me that Home Depot would probably have panels. The contractors who are supposed to install the counter tops called me about a month later. I told them that Lowes didn't have panels and didn't know when they were going to get panels. The lady on the phone told me to call Lowes and speak with the supervisor regarding the panels. So, I called Lowes and talked to a supervisor who told me that he would call me back. The following day (A month after I was told that Lowes didn't have panels for the kitchen cabinets) the lady who works in the cabinet department called me to tell me that they were able to find a panel so I went to Lowes and purchased it. However, I am still waiting for my last kitchen cabinet. I have literally been to Lowes twice per week most weeks, and sometimes once per week to inquire about my last kitchen cabinet. A month ago, I was told that my last cabinet arrived. I went to Lowes to pick it up, but it was already cracked. Keith, the Lowes employee who works in the cabinet department told me that he would return the cracked cabinet and order another one. I was very frustrated because my kitchen has been partly done since the end of March!!! Then, last week Lowes reimbursed me for the last cabinet. I called the store to ask where is my last cabinet. At this point, I am sick and tired of driving to Lowes twice per week only to keep being told that my cabinet is not here. The lady employee who works in the cabinet department with Keith told me that they don't have the cabinet so they just gave me my money back. So, I called the supervisor again and explained to him what happened. He said that he doesn't know what is going on, so he would have to ask the lady in the cabinet department. He said that she knows her job well, so if she said that they are out of cabinets and gave me a refund, then they are out of cabinets. My response was, "am I supposed to take all of the cabinets back down and get back the $1600 that I spent on the cabinets and the $2200 that I spent on the countertops and the $800 that I spent on the matching stove and return everything back to Lowes since you don't have the last cabinet, and purchase everything from Home Depot?" The manager said, "I would hate for you to return all of that stuff just for one missing cabinet. There must be something that we can do. I will talk to the lady in the cabinets section and call you back because she knows what she is doing." I said ok, but he never called back. So, now I am writing Corporate because if I have to pay someone to take down the cabinets to return to Lowes, and have more cabinets installed again, then I will have to file a lawsuit to try and get back some of my money lost. Lowes is a big company. There has to be a way where you guys can give me my white 27 x 30 inch cabinet so I can finally be able to use my kitchen again. read more

I only gave it 2 stars because they typically have what I need in stock unlike other places. HOWEVER... their customer service is non-existent. The first time I visited back in March, I actually got to making my own key on THEIR machine before anyone even asked could they assist me. Today, this employee was pretending to stock shelves and talking to another employee in the next aisle while I was searching for the correct sized paint roller. I walked beside her 4 times, behind her at least 5 times before she moved. It was until I slid their display box out of my way that she even dared to acknowledge my presence... and that was only to roll her eyes AND continue talking! (LMAO) I didn't have time to set her straight today.. but I highly suggest you all get this location together REAL SOON before you lose more customers smh read more

I came there on the 4th, I had a question about returning a propane tank the young lady in customer service with the pink hair was unprofessional and rude I said hi to her she continued to talk to her coworker and when I said hi again and how are you she finally acknowledged me with a neck roll like I was bothering her then pointed to where I should go to exchange the tank, the next casher was very pleasant a seasoned lady with grey hair I recommend that you get a valued customer training class on some of your employees, I could have been the CEO of Lowe's, what in the world... read more

The personnel at the Lowe's Clinton Store lack customer service skills, and are unprofessional and rude to African-American customers. First, when I waited to get help from the Kitchen Cabinet Pro (Mike), he suddenly announced that it is 5:00 p.m., he is now off and I would have to come back tomorrow. Sometimes, it is not always easy to just "come back tomorrow". I asked if there is someone else who could help me. The answer was no. Next, I spoke to the Store Manager to request help, and he could have cared less. He refused to help me as well. The manager did not even bother to explain why no one is available to help or to apologize for the inconvenience. Needless to say, I was very disappointed about how I was treated especially since both of these gentlemen are African-American as well. I seriously doubt I would have been treated with so little consideration if I had been a white woman or a white man who needed help. In reading several other reviews of this Lowe's store, I noticed multiple complaints about poor customer service. It is a shame that my local Lowe's sucks! read more

On 5/19/20 ordered two garage doors from Lowe's to pick up. Two days later, with no reason given, they cancelled the order. So On 5/21/20 I decided to go online and order them and have them delivered. For ten days, through over five emails, texts and phone messages, they assured me they were to be delivered on 5/31/20. But out of the Clinton store for some reason. On Sunday they did not arrive. However my credit card was charged $666.46. I called Lowe's and could not get through, just a phone loop that keeps sending you back to the original menu. At least ten times, between Sun and Tues I called and could not get through. Even called their 800 number but that has a 45 min wait. Finally out of frustration I called the 800 number and waited for over an hour but finally a live person! Of course they apologized and tried to call Clinton while I held. Sure enough they couldn't get through. So they said we will email the store and you will get a call within 24 hours. No call so I called them, over and over and over again. Finally I realized if I choose the option of Curbside Pickup, they answer every time. So I called and asked for the manager. Everything was going fine talked to the manager, explained the situation, they said they would send it out to me but first they wanted to make sure they had it in inventory and asked me to hold. I held for 45 min and they never came back. I called back, curbside pickup and each time (8 times) they would page the manager and either the call was dropped or they would not pick up. Out of frustration I emailed the owner of Lowe's in NC. I received an email from a Mr. Curry I received a call from Paul Curry on June 5th, informing me that he would look into my situation. On Tuesday, June 9th, I received another call that Mr. Curry was having trouble getting through to the Clinton Maryland store and would continue and try to call me back on Tuesday evening. I have not heard from him since. It has been 35 days since I placed my order for garage doors and 28 days since the $666.46 was taken from my account. read more

I've been to this location many times and was not very happy about the customer service. Regardless I stopped in today and realize that things had changed. This Lowes is under new management. Everyone that walked by me who works here said hello with a nice smile. It was such a pleasure coming in. We used to drive into Virginia to go to a different Lowe's because of my previous experiences. Today was a complete turn around and change. I no longer have to drive to a different state to receive good service. I'm very pleased that multiple employees helped me find everything I needed. Trying to schedule in home estimates is a waste of time. Attempting to schedule online doesn't work, and calling isn't much better. I had a estimate scheduled with the clinton store, no call, no show. I call today, the comments were that they attempted to contact me but my voicemail was full. That's a lie! My husband and I ordered a security door on January 15. A guy came out to measure a few days later and it seemed like everything would be OK. Well, a couple weeks went by and we didn't hear from the contractor to schedule time for install. On February 9th the contractor shows up without an appt to install the door. My husband just happened to be home so all was well, so we thought. The door is not the right size! There's an inch or more space under and above smh. So, I call the customer service line same day as install to notify them that the door is not the correct size. I'm told that they left a vm for the contractor and someone would reach out in the next 2 days...never happened. I called back at least 5-6 more times (different weeks/days) to be told the same thing with no call from the contractor. Its March 17th and we still have a door that's not the right size. Just got off the phone with Rita in customer service and guess what? I was told that she left a vm for the contractor and they'd call to schedule an appt. So, I'm basically stuck with this ill sized door bc the only thing Lowe's can do is apparently leave voicemails for contractors. We will never use them for another install service again. read more

This is the worst Lowes in the DMV. The women that work the early shift (6am-9am) have the worst attitude and absolutely no customer service skills at all. They need to be fired ASAP. How do you tell a customer NO they cant ask a question about a product when you standing at customer service and there is no one working on the floor. Then when you ask the manager (a women who finally comes out she has an attitude) about the number of products that is supposed to be in the store she says if that's the only one you see than that's all we have. Might I add there was no packaging on the item no bar code nothing. I had to pull the item up myself in order to purchase it bc she didnt want to provide me with a bar code. Again she was standing in customer service. I will not going back in there and will let everyone I know not to shop at that store. Had to give one star just to post other than that I would not give this store a star rating at all. read more

I've used the Home Depot on 301 for years and always been frustrated with the shortage of knowledgeable salespeople. or any salespeople, for that matter. I don't like using this shopping center, but I started coming to this Lowes for some incidental hardware, and always found plenty of helpful sales people. I needed to replace a washer, dryer and an over-the-range microwave oven, so I did my shopping on their website and went into this store to make my purchases. The washer was in stock and was delivered the next day. The dryer and microwave were special order, but they arrived in a reasonable amount of time. In every instance, the old appliances were removed and the new ones installed quickly and efficiently. I'm very pleased with this store. read more
