The store advertises curbside pickup, but when you go to get your order they tell you that you have to go inside. This is not what they advertise. Do they think they can lure folks in by pretending to offer curbside because once you get there you will just give-up, park and go inside? NO! That is classic Bait And Switch tactics and false advertising. This is a big deal because so many shoppers at this store are not considerate enough to wear masks and protect others. Also, the store is not attending in any way to reducing crowds or making efforts to ensure a safe shopping experience. I really hate liars. The ad that says there is curbside pick-up is a baldfaced lie. I have had great experiences with curbside pick up at other stored, including Home Depot. They had one cashier with 15 customers in line with no one assisting. Their stock is sometimes adequate. I do not recommend coming to this store if possible. Visited place and made an appointment to get the measures from my backyard so they could build a deck and a fence. The technician never showed up neither received a phone call from them. Tried calling back and they told me to call the next day because the department was already closed. Called next day and I was on hold for 40 minutes (which was better if I drove to the place) until somebody answered and told me the department was closed until Monday. It looks like they don't want to make money. Gave one star for wasting my time and the poor quality to the customer service. They need a better system to provide customer service. I then went back home deco and found Edward. A very pleasant and caring associate who took the time to assist me. He put the rods together and instructed me on what to do when I got home. I ordered a shipment of products online with an initial delivery date of early June. I received a call soon thereafter informing me that the shipment would come from multiple stores, so it would be split, but that most of it would come from the Clinton, MD location. Based on this call, I understood that the delivery would take place on two dates. The first date for delivery came, and I received notice that the delivery service would arrive, and nobody showed. I called the delivery company and was told it had been rescheduled due to a product delay. I'm fine with that. Covid is a big deal. So then we wait for the next delivery day. Same scenario, we get notice delivery is en route, then nobody shows up. We check online, and we see that it's slated for the 7/6. So we wait. and then again, we get notice that the delivery drivers are en route, and we should expect the delivery between 8AM and 12PM. So we wait. 12:30 comes, and no delivery, so we call the delivery company. They say the items were not loaded in the morning, and that the issue is with the Clinton Lowe's. So we call Lowe's. From the automated answering service, I first try to connect to online orders, option 3, then 1. It rings and rings, no answer, then I'm sent back through the answering service menu. I try deliveries, option 3, then 3. Rings and rings, no answer. Then customer care, option 9 then 0. Then lumber - option 6. Then business sales, option 7. Then I try all of them again 3 more times each. No answer. So I drive to the store to talk to someone. I wait in line for an hour before I get to speak to someone. They tell me they can't do anything about it, that I'll need to talk to the delivery team in the morning. I ask if they can leave that team a message because I don't want to call and not get answered again. They write a message down on roll of receipt tape and assure me they will post it somewhere for delivery staff to take a look at. She also tells me that the delivery was postponed purportedly at my request on 7/3, but I never requested any delay nor spoke with anyone from the store on 7/3. So, not entirely trusting the message I left to reach the right people, I call the store in the morning today. I called at 7:30AM, and I actually reached a person. She verified my order number and told me that she would get a manager to talk with me about it. Then she put me on hold for two hours and 45 minutes before I gave up. I was thinking that the hold music wasn't great, but at least there were no commercials, so I might just hang on the line, but I have actual work to do, and I just can't focus with the beach boys in the background making it patently clear to me that the store lacks any sort of interest in delivering quality customer service or in ensuring the delivery of goods that have been paid for for over a month. I'm a pretty laid back guy, and I've been a loyal Lowe's customer for years, but this experience has completely eroded my faith in the brand. To the extent possible, I will avoid purchasing anything from the store in the future, and I will do my best to apprise my friends, family, or anyone who will listen as to the level of my dissatisfaction. read more

Went to Home Depot in Oxon Hill to get some lumber cut. They paged someone to come to cut the lumber for me and know one came. I was told they haven't come in yet. This was 9am in the morning. i believe they open at 6am. So decided to go to Lowe's instead. Paid for the lumber and went in the back to have it cut. Took about 20 minutes, just stood there while watching several workers ignore me. I had my washer and dryer scheduled a week in advance. One of the delivery guys didn't have any ID to get on JB Andrews. Not my fault, right? I had instructions indicating my location was military. I guess my "note" didn't mean much. Well, Lowes called to let me know the issue and called for a reschedule for the next day. Fortunately, I called the next day since I had not received a timeframe. I am so impressed! Honest to goodness! I've never left a review anywhere else before but as I sit here in the parking lot of Lowe's I knew I needed to say something. Pete assisted me today, he deserves a raise! I came in the store to the hardware department looking to get whatever you call those things that hold your license plate to the car. I know what a nail is and what a hammer is, beyond that absolutely nothing. He came out to inspect which hardware piece I needed for my truck, we went back inside and got the items and came out again to the car. He literally put my license on the front and back of the car! I went in today to purchase a DeWalt impact driver and was pleased to find a display advertising a sale that states if you purchase a driver kit you can get a bare tool (w/no battery) of your choice for free. After much confusion at the register and a 15 minutes wait I was informed by the manager that the sale doesn't start til August. I asked since it was obviously a store mistake if they would honor the sale and he refused. Lowes just lost thousands of dollars of business from me annually. Truly the worst experience ever. My wife ordered a grill for me online in mid-June. Due to delays, we were told it would not arrive until July 6 and that it would be from the Lowe's in Clinton, MD. We were fine with this and had no issue. On July 5, we received a confirmation call stating that the grill would arrive on July 6 as promised. On the morning of July 6, we received another call saying the grill would be delivered that day. By evening, the grill had not arrived. We called the delivery company who informed us that the grill was never loaded onto the truck. Immediately, we called the Lowes corporate customer service line. After being on hold for 45 minutes, someone finally spoke with us. After a polite apology, we were told that someone from Lowes would call within 24 hours. 24 hours came and went - no call from Lowes corporate or from the store in Clinton. On July 8, my wife called the Lowes corporate customer service line again. After another 35 minute wait, a person finally spoke to her. They told her that we should call the Clinton store. My wife said they need to call the store. So we were told that issue had been raised to the attention of the store manager. Again, we were promised that the the manager would call us in 24 hours. On the evening of July 9, we tried to call the Clinton store. For the next 20 minutes, I went through the constant loop of hearing the menu and having to press 3, hear another menu to press 3 every three minutes. No one ever picked up. On July 10, I tried to call the Clinton store and again had the round and round of being in hold for 20 minutes. I also called the Lowes corporate customer service line and after 50 minutes, I got through to someone! I explained the situation. He put me in hold for a few minutes and offered me a 10% discount on a future purchase and now a delivery date of July 29! I declined and asked to speak with a supervisor. After further wait and discussion, they finally offered to take 10% of this purchase. While the employee that handle this was very polite, I am absolutely disappointed with this. The worst "delivery system" I have every experienced. I ordered a grill online to have it delivered to my house. I confirmed the date/time from the numerous emails I received which was not a big deal. However on the confirmed delivery day I waited the entire delivery window time, which my order never arrived. I called the delivery service who was very rude in her response said that my order never was put on the delivery truck in the morning to which Lowe's should have notified me which never happened. After several calls to the Clinton MD store, the only time I got thru was the next morning. Customer service then said my delivery would be on the following Monday after 2 pm as I requested so I could be home. I get an email that Monday at 11 am stating that my order was delivered which is not what I was told was going to happen. I get home only to find no item. I search around and wonder was my item stolen because Lowe's said it was delivered. After more unanswered calls to the same store, I take off work the next day and go to the store to find out what is going on. After finally getting to customer service, the employee tells me that my item was not left because I was not home and that they do not do special time request which is not what I was told on the phone 2 days before and that they could deliver my item the next day (3 days) after my original delivery date. I I requested my refund and left the store. Very unhappy with Lowe's of Clinton MD and will not go back there again. The only reason I had to deal with them in the first place is because the store closer to me did not have the item and online said that this store could deliver it to my house. read more

Went this Saturday for Toilet Bolts and and Clear RTV sealant. They only had one type 5/16" of bolt. Fine. Then apparently, no one in the store (two staff people, including the person assigned to plumbing) knew what RTV sealant was. My husband wrote the list, and I was rushing because of the snow, so I called him and he was appalled. He told me to go to the sealant section. I went there and asked the person stationed in that section, (sealants/caulk/ paints/etc.), what to look for. He also stated that he didn't know what RTV sealant was, and took me to the aisle with all of the sealants. He then stated that I would have to look for it myself because he could not take the fumes. WTF? Never again. I was so pissed I didn't even Google it, I was in disbelief. BTW - RTV Sealant is a silicone sealant also sometimes known as Loctite (now I know). Lowes employees should at least know what they are selling. read more

Wait time is forever. Often there are NO cashiers and all of the customers are forced to use self checkout which does not lend itself to large items. There is one staff member there but he or she is overwhelmed. I save time by driving past this store and going to the Lowe's or Home Depot half an hour away. I ordered a "new" refrigerator from the Lowe's website and this store was the one assigned to fulfill the order. The fridge arrived on time (Frigidaire 18-cu ft Top-Freezer Refrigerator (Black) Item #: 852887| Model #: FFTR1821T) and appeared to be working, however, by the next day both freezer and main compartment were not cooling at all. Called the Lowe's customer support line for first of many one hour+ waits. They opened an incident ticket and told me I'd need to contact the delivering store for more information on when a replacement could be delivered but first directed me to call the wrong store. Oh well, that only wasted about 45 more minutes of my workday, a pittance compared to what was to come. Then I called the "correct" store in Clinton and sat on hold for 45 minutes before anyone picked up. Once they did, I was put on hold again for over an hour and a half. I had to hang up (trying to keep my job and all) but from the attitude of the person that initially picked up, I was being left there without the intention of anyone picking up. Back to calling the main customer support line for 30 more minutes of holding. They are now making an attempt to contact someone at the Clinton store and even Lowe's can't get helped by this Lowe's lol. Main customer support now recommends the fastest resolution might be to transfer me to their repairs department. The wait is not so bad here (only 20 minutes!) and they quickly arrange to have someone out in the morning for a "repair." Repair guy shows, takes a look at the fridge, assessing a leak, a busted compressor and surmises I was sent a "used" refrigerator. He leaves saying there is no way he'd keep this unit. So, now back to holding on the main customer support line. I'm not happy at this point and the two and a half hour phone call while they try to contact the Clinton store again and offer me replacement fridges that aren't even a close match and will still take a week to be delivered isn't helping. Their ultimate solution is to send me a smaller fridge on a temporary basis until one that matches my needs is available. Oh, and it will still take 5 days to deliver. Well, I guess I can officially toss out $300+ in food I had since I'm not getting a fridge from them anytime soon. After getting towards the ends of this 2 and a half hour call and since I had plenty of time to search the web while on hold, I discovered Home Depot was able to send me a new unit matching my needs is less time than Lowe's could send me a temporary fix. So to sum up, I flushed several hundred dollars in food and lost the better part of a day with this Lowe's experience with the used lemon of a fridge they sent me. Not much sympathy from them either. They issued a refund but needless to say, I will never shop at Lowe's again. read more

Asked a customer service rep who was in the department next to me if he worked in plumbing at first he didn't acknowledge that he even heard me so I figured maybe he didn't, I then asked again excuse me sir do you work in plumbing he said "nah" I said is there anyone here that does he then threw his hands up as if he was saying I don't along with saying nah again I don't know followed by maybe their not here yet. I then walked back into the isle and seen to other employees talking so I asked them if someone who knew plumping could help me one lady did a overhead page for assistance needed at the customer service desk . I proceeded and walked to that desk and waited & waited and waited still no one came so I then just walked out the store the employee who initially paged asked me if anyone came I said nope she said oh Im sorry .
