Bought a dryer there two weeks ago. It worked for a week and then it completely died. We had to leave out of town for a week, did some troubleshooting and discovered it was dead. I assumed 30 day returns were the norm, but apparently I was wrong. For Lowe's it's 48 hours. We loaded it back into my truck to return it. Lowe's refused to do anything. First they were rude to my wife. (Who's a sweet and respectful person). Then I went in myself because the lady just railroaded her with no options. The "customer service" staff consisted of being told they would do nothing, followed by confrontational, and then told to "Settle down" as though I had zero reason to be upset after a DOA dryer after less than 2 weeks. It was further escalated when the other "customer service" employee openly laughed and mocked me. Manager came up and was willing to work with me WHILE the "customer service" lady was mean mugging me behind him and the other one was laughing. I got my money back but I won't be coming back. Simply unbelievable rudeness. It was bad enough to basically get no help....but it was escalated by the open hostility, laughing and gaslighting. read more

I ordered windows in March. Lowes was to install. They are now on the 4th time reordering, trying to install twice with wrong window sizes and styles. I keep telling the 888 number their order is wrong and they respond later with a message telling me the order information. The system of ordering and managing the order has been absolutely horrible. One person enters the information and it get funneled to someone who does not know what to order. I get calls that give me wrong information, including sending me to the store when the product was not there. Wasted half my day. What is worse, I can't get management to engage in this problem. The store personnel are told not to help as it must go through the installation national process. I cannot stress how bad this has been. I am now stopping all business with Lowes. read more

Ordered landscape rock online for in-store pickup, and received notification it was available. Then received 2 voicemails that were only partially audible about the pickup process with conflicting instructions. Tried to call repeatedly to confirm, but phones were down. Drove an hour to pick up our paid order only to find they sold out from under us to someone else and had none available. Huge waste of time and fuel. Very disappointing experience and will cross them off our list in future. read more

Don't you just hate when your appliances get to a certain and just crap out? Me too. This time it was the dishwasher. First stop was Lowe's because it's the closest. Looked around at the different models while we waited for the sales associate. Found a model we liked and because we had already been waiting over 20 minutes, another worker came to help. So she looks it up on the computer and it informs her there is one in stock. She goes back to check. Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock another 15 minutes pass. She finally returns and tells us that there doesn't appear to be one back there. Can they look and give us a call? Sure. Next day, they don't have one but they can get us one by Tuesday. Ok we said, even though I knew it meant more hand washing of dishes. They would call us over the weekend to confirm. By Sunday we hadn't heard from them, so husband starts trying to call. No on picks up in the dept. He stops in on Monday to see what's going on. There isn't one coming in tomorrow and they don't even know when they could get one. The manager is called over and he seems oh so unconcerned about the fact that we had been told we would have one by Tuesday. "Misinformed" is what we were and the employee must not have known what the delivery dates would be. Husband walks. read more

I love Lowe's and have had great luck with everything I've purchased from them. HOWEVER, the customer service and wait times are ridiculous!! I was told to call Britt picking up our fridge however no one ever answered. I drove to the store (20mins), walked into the store, and back to the Appliance department when a receptionist finally answered. Luckily someone was walking by and went to find the fridge. Almost an hour later I got the privilege to stand in the return line that went out the front of the store to say I was heard to pick up my fridge and then they would call an expert out to hold it. The expert simply wheeled it out. All that wasted time standing in another line waiting for something I already paid for. Lowe's REALLY need to work on the customer service experience!!! read more

Not sure what place I like better Menard's, Lowes, or Home Depot, I know I've never had a bad experience here and the workers seem knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! They seem to have better new and nicer things on clearance. fridges, dishwashers, etc and most of them are in really good shape. A small ding on the back of the fridge? oh it's on clearance could be a sweet deal for someone looking for appliances! And My favorite right now light switch covers haha the ones that hide the screw! haha Yes I love it, I'm a dork like that but I like my house to look nice and I think those kick it up a notch! read more

Bad service. Placed an order. My card got hacked, app requested me to update new card. I did 5 times. Still said waiting for new for new card info. Called the store 2 times and first person said no problem just change card. I explained I did, said it was OK. Order status still said waiting for new payment. I called again and 2 nd person said all was OK. Checked status and said order canceled. Called 3 TD time spoke to manager Rob and he said all he could do was reorder. Purchased a Frigidaire April of 2021 from Lowes. MISTAKE! They offer no store servicing. They only offer the factory warranty - which is a long exhausting process to get little to no results. And the extended warranty is just as long of a process. DO not buy any major appliance from a store that does not offer local servicing. read more

The wife and I just bought our first house. (I like to say it like that so it sounds like we're the type of people who plan to have a collection of houses.) As you can imagine, we're spending a fair amount of time at Lowe's, and the orance competitor on the other side of town. For as long as I can remember, the knock on these places has always been that you can never find someone to help you. I find that this could not be farther from the truth. I am always able to find someone to help me. I was pretty indifferent between the two stores until my last trip to Lowe's. I went to the plumbing section, and an employee named Robert did something that is guaranteed to make me a loyal customer. He told me I didn't need to buy anything for my plumbing problem. I still bought painting supplies and will surely buy other plumbing stuff in the future, but the fact that Robert told me when I didn't need something makes me feel like I can trust the staff at Lowe's. read more

Lowe's is usually our first go to hardware store but our experience there yesterday (4th if July) may have changed our minds. We were looking for a patio roller shade to keep the sun off our outdoor patio and found one. It was quite long and we walked toward the nearest checkout where there were 3 women Lowe's employees standing. We approached the register asking if we can use the military discount there and one woman said "Sure, I just need to log on." We headed her way when all of the sudden another woman who must have been her supervisor, dressed up in 4th of July leggings, short skirt and red hair all of the sudden butted in & told us we couldn't check out there we needed to go over to other end to check out! The first woman who told us we could check out there must have felt totally undermined by this younger supervisor girl & she said nothing ( even though she had started logging in to her register already. It seemed totally unnecessary to send us way down to register 12 with a bulky long item. My partner is a Vietnam Vet who fought on the front lines for our country and it was the 4th of July. We were asking for a military discount so she knew he was a vet. Not a very good experience to start our day. It was not only the red head's refusal to let us check out but her extremely bossy attitude that didn't set well. BTW- we have used his military discount at the same register she was refusing us to go to on other occasions. read more

I used Lowes to install flooring 4 years ago and swore it would be the last time I used them after the experience I had. I relented this year and went out to see about getting a storm door installed. I was told on 6/22 that the installer would call me within 2 doors to measure the door, on 6/28 the installer finally called. He arranged to come between 3 and 5 on 6/30. He never showed, I called the local store and after being transferred 3 times customer service asked if I would like to talk to a manager, that call was not answered so they tried another manager who refused to speak with me and told her to send me to their corporate office. I waited through 2 mins and 30 seconds of announcements before I could enter the information to get to the proper person and then they could not explain why the installer did not show up, they attempted to call him and got no answer but left a message for him to call me. That was yesterday at 5:30pm. He has still not called me, and today I have called corporate 2 times waiting through 5 mins of announcements only to be told their computers are down and they cannot help me. Sad sad state of affairs at Lowes go somewhere else don't step in this place unless you want to be passed around and put off. read more

This is is the last time we have tried To be waited on here. Went in today to buy not one but two large appliances. Not one person would wait on us. They walked literally around us for 20 min. When we tried to stop and get their attention, the first older grey haired man with glasses looked at us when we asked if they sold freezers (which it shows they you do and are in stock online) literally barked "NO!" And kept walking past us and never came back. We had also had a that we also wanted to for our family room, so we waited and thought ok maybe we can order a freezer, so we continued to wait. My husband was able to get a younger dark hair mans attention and asked if we could order a deep freeze, and he looked at us and said NO and went back to what he was doing. So we left and went to Home Depot where we were treated excellent. We were waiting on within 1 min upon arrival. We bought a lovely Whirlpool stainless refrigerator, that they are delivering tomorrow and a 7.1 HotPoint deep freeze that is on order to be delivered in August. We will never go back to Lowe's again. We walk in with money and ready to purchase. We may be stereotyped by how we look. Shame on you. read more

I bought a refrigerator in January 2016. My refrigerator stopped cooling in February 2017. I bought an extended warranty so they had a company out to "fix it". They came out a found no coolant was left. He filled it and put a dye to find the leak. He never said he fixed anything. Fast forward to beginning of September, stopped cooling again. I have gone almost 4 weeks without a fridge. They now have Samsung coming out to look at it. The Lowes warranty dept tries but they have a fix three times policy. It does not seem to matter that I don't have a working fridge or that I bought an extended warranty. read more

I've been trying to get my fence completed correctly since April 27th, for reference it's been 7 months. Based on the interactions I have had with Josh, the assistant manager, he does not have the time nor patience to listen to his customers frustrations. As I tried to explain to the Lowe's customer service team, I contracted through Lowe's to have a fence and gate built in the backyard. I should have been concerned when no one came out to survey the land but they assured me it would work with an assessor who used our property lines. The original fence had gaps and did not meet expectations. The installer has been back 5 times and can't seem to level the gate. The lock for the gate is not even there. We were told there would be tension wire for our dogs to stay in and as you can see in pictures it was not installed. We have chunks of concrete sticking out of the lawn where my niece has already hurt herself. There's also a picture of the post that is not level with the fence. We have called every 3 days for months. They have refused to take the fence back and refused to do anything other than to have the original installer out. Not to mention, this installer tried to take 550 lbs of extra concrete (Lowe's also has refused to refund the excess materials, what am I going to do with 550 lbs of concrete) which we were charged for. I have had to take off work and walk this man around our fence to tell him how to install it. Based on my experience, there is a lack of communication, customer care and in my opinion, overall competency with this project. I would not recommend Lowe's for your project needs. If they do not meet your expectations, even the simple expectation of a fence that keeps in your dogs, your left holding the bill and trying to fix their mistakes. read more

Although short handed they got the job done. Kinda wish others could have besn understanding, but I understand the need and desire to get jobs done. Cedar Rapids store on Blairs Ferry is the worst. Customer service does not answer the phone, even though when you go in there are at least 2 or 3 employees at the customer service desk. We had issues with deliveries for an oven and a storm door. The oven was back ordered and it was six months in and we just gave up and got a refund. Ok, they say it's Covid causing all these problems, but why take my money 6 months ago, even for installation and haul away, if you cannot get the product delivered to your customer? Oh, it's the manufacturer's fault and not Lowes. We also ordered storm door and paid up front. We got a call a month later it was in, but guess what? Wrong door. Again, manufacturer's fault, not Lowes, as they will tell you. They finally got the correct door in and we never would have known if I hadn't called the store to check on it. Confusion reigned on whether they even ordered the right door for us and they had to research the matter. Called back, the door is here. Got this info only after a lot of calling and calling and FINALLY getting someone to pick up the phone, only to have it round and round with the "customer service" employee, I use that term loosely, about talking to an actual manager. I had talked to a nice gentleman in the appliance area about my Samsung microwave that wasn't heating, I was one day but had been dealing with Samsung the first week I bought it but they stopped replying. He told me to bring it back the next day and they would see what they could do. He was busy when I came back with a customer so I went to customer service with everything in hand including my emails with Samsung, I was put in touch with the manager who was rude and unhappy that I was there and I was told that. I only wanted to exchange but they couldn't do that and refunded me the price I paid when I bought the other one it was fifty dollars more, they wanted me to pay the difference. I asked for the manager again and he gave me the same price but was really mad at that point and took off the appliance man I talked with. The manager took him away from his customers and took him to the back room. I felt horrible as I got him in trouble for doing the right thing. We were very disappointed how Lowe's treated us and their employee. We will shop local at a non box store from now on. read more

Only leaving one star because I have to in order to leave a review. Would prefer 0 stars. I'll start by saying I orderEd a washer on March 19th, today is April 10th and I still have not received my delivery after I have been promised 3 different delivery dates. All of those dates have come and gone with no delivery and no phone call telling me I would not be receiving my washer. Instead I have had to call multiple times, to only be connected to a phone that continually rings with no answer or a customer service person who can't help me and only says a manager will call me back. I've been told now twice that a manger will call me and I have yet to receive a call. I'm highly disappointed in the lack of customer service and anyone who is capable of doing their job at this facility. I have unfortunately given way too much of my money to a store that does not deserve it. I have another large order of appliances set to be delivered at the end of the month that I will now be canceling and I will take my business elsewhere from now on. read more

Doing my first big home improvement project, ordered flooring, and set up my installation date which then the contractor confirmed. The associate Tom than helped me was knowledgable and helpful. That is where the good customer service ended. My scheduled installation was on Saturday...no one showed up. I spent most of that day on the phone with Lowe's trying to figure out what was going on, and was told on my last call that someone would contact me and give me an update. That did not happen. 930 Sunday morning the installers showed up, giving me no explanation. About 530 Sunday they told me they would be coming back Monday. When I got mad I was told "well it's a 2 day job. Which I already knew which was why it was scheduled for Saturday to begin with. I had to take the day off Monday, I live in a secured building, work 30 minutes away and not to mention having strangers alone in my home all day. Towards the end of the day I was told not enough quarter rounds had been ordered, so I called Lowe's and they told me the contractor would be handling it and that he would contact the installers. He never did. 2 hours later after they left and my flooring was not completed. So, again I called Lowe's and they told me the contractor would be calling to set up a time where it could be finished. Again no call and no follow up from Lowe's. It was pretty much the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Lowe's only called me back once, but for the most part I was told I needed to call this person and what to do..really I have to chase down their contractor to finish a job that had already been paid for? My impression was that after I placed the order and gave them money that they no longer had to provide good customer service. As soon as this is paid for I'm cancelling my credit card and taking the rest of my home improvement business to Home depot. I will not be a returning customer and I intend to let all my family and friends know that Lowe's is not a good place to spend money! read more

One star seems far too generous to grant this business. If you are frustrated waiting for contractors to call you back and settle for Lowe's, think twice. It's better to wait than to settle for second, or third rate. Trust me, I was one of those that got sucked in to believing that Lowe's could handle my project by the project manager that spent hours at my home talking himself up. At the time, I was relieved that someone had finally returned my call and actually showed up. That was the last time and the only time I got service from them. The project manager lied to us and kept promising us he had done things he had never done. Three months later, he finally admitted that he had screwed up but then told us a project like mine took "six months." Actually, it took less than two weeks, but when the project manager forgets to order things or contact people for your project, I guess it can take an eternity. It's the lying that bothers me more than anything else, and the assumption that I'm stupid enough to believe him. Even when called out for his lies, he reminded me of successes and his large business. Too large for me, I guess. It's one thing to SELL someone a project, the key is actually manage it, communicate with the client and follow through to completion. That is something that has not yet happened and I suspect won't. I see that I will need to handle things on my own to get this project completed. I am warning others not to go through Lowe's unless you're willing to do it yourself, or know someone else who can. Don't end up with loose ends and a large bill like I did. They just don't care. read more

Went into Lowe's @ about 8 am, shopping for a few items. Although the store wasn't really busy at that time, it was still obvious the employees were having great difficulty in helping and checking out customers. To begin, it appeared that there was only two people working (or at least to help customers) and one was a dedicated check out person, making it impossible to get help finding things and answering questions. Furthermore, when checking out, there was an ad in their circular stating that a coupon (on their receipt?) for $10 off a $50 purchase was to be given, but they were clueless as to this promotion. Even showed the clerk the ad that I picked up at the front door when I came in, and nope, no idea what its about. It not only befuddled her, but also confused another check out person (i guess that got 2nd one by that time) and even the supervisor/manager was in state of ignorance. So I stood there for 3-5 minutes, waiting, for these guys (gals) to figure it out. It would have been comical watching this transpire, if it wasn't for the great inconvenience to me. Which is par for course for Lowe's. Can't blame Amazon or internet shoppers for this. The one REAL advantage that brick and mortar has over online is ACTUAL service. And service always seems to be the first thing sacrificed for profitability. Lowe's, your welcome to contact me, but alas, I doubt you have time to read this if you don't have time to do the most basic services. read more

We have had nothing but problems with this store and have gave them all of our business for remodeling our home. We ordered counter tops on July 6th, I called to get the status of the order on July 18th and they had never been order. They had no explanation for what had happened except for blaming it on several employees pushing it off on another. After all of this happened it made us nervous so we made sure they had ordered them correctly and they said it was all the way we ordered it and good to go. Our counter tops FINALLY came in on Aug 18th six weeks after we ordered and paid for them and the bar top we paid extra for was wrong and had a back splash. They were to call us back about re ordering them and expediting them. They NEVER call me back when they say and I am the only always trying to track someone down to get some answers. They have ZERO customer service and try to blame everything on the vender or other employees in the store. The managers are have no regard for their mistakes and could care less they messed up our order and we had to live in our house with no counter tops or kitchen sink for a month. I will NEVER be doing business with them EVER again and STRONGLY advise others to avoid doing business with them as well. read more
