Bought a washer 4 years ago here. Now needs multiple repairs. Went back in stated I was unhappy as I didn't see 4 years as a good life for a washer. They were unsympathetic and went I started to look at new washers they were uninterested in helping me I left. Won't return. read more

The delivery men took so much care with our frig and with our home. They took their time, were extremely friendly, and explained everything so clearly. I'm grateful that our dryer issue has been satisfactorily resolved, and I appreciate that the team at Grand Appliance took the time to read my review, follow up, and help move things toward a resolution. I do wish the path to resolution had been smoother, much of the delay stemmed from challenges with the third-party warranty company, Centricity. I was glad to learn that Grand Appliance has since partnered with a different warranty provider -- a positive change, especially given my experience. I appreciate that Grand ultimately stepped in to assist us and help bring the issue to a resolution. read more

Sale was great-follow up on warranty is a nightmare. I am currently waiting for my 7th repair person. Several issues-the freezer doesn't freeze well, the fridge freezes food if in the back, when you shut the fridge-the freezer door pops open, makes gurgling and other noises. It was noted shortly after purchase that it seemed to run a lot. Thermometers in the freezer show 15-20 degrees (lots of ice crystals and ruined food) and the fridge shows 30 degrees. I have heard all sorts of stories/excuses. I have also reached out to GE-after being told by Grand that it might not be covered b/c I am (shortly) out of warranty now. The issues/repairs started while it was still under warranty! Repair people have been coming out over the last 3 months. Now there seems to be an issue with records being sent to GE. I have the original bill of sale but no hard copies of repairs since it has been warranty-though I have the list of dates, who was out and the just of the call. Upon furnishing the model/serial number to GE, they said it came from Home Depot??? I am not sure whether this 7th repair person will show as I have not gotten a courtesy call narrowing the call to a 4 hour time frame. This will be the 7th wasted day waiting for their repair people. And he has been out before. 3 months/7 repair calls and still nothing is resolved. GE told me that after 6 calls, they would replace--well--can't document the calls. I would suggest going right to the manufacturer, rather than trying to get warranty issue resolved thru Grand! read more

Scheduled delivery of a couple appliances but they were a no show. When contacted they said a mistake was made and the best they could do was reschedule a week later. Appliances are in their warehouse and we are only 2 miles away from store. Attempt to discuss with manager has gone unanswered. Not impressed with service. read more

Cedar Rapids, IA. Rescheduled delivery 2 times. Multiple damages to home during delivery. Damage to refrigerator door. Replacement door also arrived damaged. Other damaged part never ordered even though I was told it was. Refrigerator was used because the ice lines did not have charcoal on them as a new refrigerator should. EXTREMELY poor/lack of communication from both store and corporate. More damage to home during the "return" pick up. Still waiting on that reimbursement 6 wks later with no communication. Return credit for refrigerator and first home damage reimbursement was given in 4 types, 4 times, 3 ways. (Corporate finance could not calculate appropriate credits.) We were overly patient and gracious, but still received poor service and minimal communication over and over. After this incident, now hearing several similar stories on the community. Buyer beware. read more

Had what started as a smooth experience, bought a range and a fridge from a courteous sales person. Delivery day came, two guys installed my gas range, turned out fridge was too large to fit, annoying but OK I can return and order the right size from the same salesperson. Issue came when the guys who installed the range used my old gas line. Told them I wanted to keep the one that came with the new range, they said no problem they will leave it. Just as they finished up, I again said dont forget to leave the gas line, the guy said "yes I will", next thing I know they are gone and I realize they had taken the gas line. I reached out to the store multiple times and they said they would get back to me, then it was they are looking into it, then something about a broken truck, then they just never got back to me. I looked it up and those gas lines can run $30-40 so I am really disappointed that they never followed through to return my new gas line that was taken. Haven't bought a new fridge yet as I have been waiting for this to be returned first, but I think I will just go elsewhere to finish my kitchen appliance replacement as I don't think this will ever be returned to me. Too bad, I did like the store. But this is bad service. read more

We just purchased an LG appliance suite, and honestly couldn't love the appliances more. In fact, I can also honestly say that when the time arrives again many years down the road, we won't hesitate to purchase another LG appliance suite at another $8,000 plus price point. What we will not do is ever make another purchase from Sarah Penney, or from Grand Appliance and TV. Our first stop in to look at what appliance brand we wished to go with, and we had the pleasure of our sales associate being Sarah, who was friendly and knowledgeable, low pressure, and an absolute joy to meet and converse with. She gave us a complete quote on our decided upon appliance suite, and happily said if we wanted to purchase from the store, to please not hesitate to let her know. We were so pleased with the selection and quality of the appliance suite, my husband and I discussed it amongst us, and agree we didn't feel the need to even look elsewhere or with anyone else. Two days later we purchased the entire suite, just as equally impressed by Sarah Penney and Grand Appliance and TV. What truly sold us was the honesty and commitment to service stated by Sarah Penney, representing Grand TV and Appliance. We sadly found out before the complete suite of appliances was even delivered that if there was a question or a potential problematic issue that she may have to acknowledge or discuss, she just doesn't. The question and issue were very minute, and just required a simple honest answer and explanation. Six days later when our delivery was finally completed, we still hadn't, and HAVE NOT YET, heard back from Sarah Penny nor Grand Appliance and TV. Period. An honest answer and an explanation would have stopped me from even wishing to write a negative review about a person and a company that we felt so pleased with. Our strongest recommendation that we have and will continue to give is to look elsewhere. Better prices are out there, and better service to their customer base is available as well. read more
