SERVICE: To preface, I did not get a piercing here (yet). I lost the back of my earring for my flat and needed a replacement ASAP. Kat greeted me warmly and asked if I needed anything which was very nice. I was browsing and wasn't sure what I wanted. Lev soon came out shortly to help me look for a piece that was in my price range and helped me put them on clamps to hold up next to my ear. This really helped me decide on what to choose as I could "see it" on my ear. Both made me feel so welcomed!! They were both so friendly and cool that I made a mental note to come back to get a piercing from this place. The pieces here are a bit on the higher end but most piercing studios with higher quality pieces usually have the same price range. I ended up getting a cool lil dagger that was within my price range. It was so nice that Kat was able to put in the earring for me and transfer the temporary one back to my lobe as well. I didn't expect that service which was really nice. OVERALL: Love the decor and the vibes! I definitely will be coming back as soon as I know which piercing to get next!

Absolutely recommend this studio!!…read more I made an appointment online for a hidden helix and two lobe piercings, and I had such a great experience from start to finish. 1.) The studio is incredibly clean! Everything felt very organized and sanitary. Each piece of jewelry is sterilized for 7-9 minutes before being used, and the jewelry displays were spotless and beautifully organized by brand. Every piece they carry is gorgeous, so be prepared to have a hard time choosing! 2.) Friendly, patient, and knowledgeable staff My appointment was with Boge, and while I was waiting, Lev helped me choose my jewelry. Both were incredibly kind and patient, especially because I am very indecisive. They never pressured me to choose anything and were happy to show me different jewelry sizes, talk through my options, and help me calculate the total cost. 3.) Honest advice and genuine customer care This was probably what impressed me the most. I originally came in wanting a hidden helix, but Lev actually advised me against getting one at this time because of the potential healing concerns with my ear anatomy and piercing history. They also took into consideration my upcoming events and helped me plan which piercings to get first and when it would be best to get the others. Although I was initially disappointed that I couldn't get the hidden helix, I really appreciated their honesty. They easily could have done the piercing, but instead prioritized what they felt would be best for my healing. That made me feel like they genuinely cared about me as a customer rather than just making a sale. And the customer care went above and beyond! I hadn't eaten before my appointment because I was nervous, and Boge noticed and offered me one of her own chewy granola bars so I wouldn't risk feeling faint. Such a small gesture, but it meant a lot to me. 4.) Fixed my messed up Claire's Piercing I had a piercing on my right ear that was pierced at the worst location as I have a mole there so I never bothered wearing earrings. Boge was able to work her magic and made everything look even! Please see my photos for before and after. Seamless experience (I have a super low pain tolerance and prone to fainting with needles). She was so kind and talked me through it all and let me lay in the chair for a bit before even getting up. I never felt rushed, pressured, or uncomfortable at any point. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, and I left feeling really confident about my piercing plan. Thank you to Boge, Lev, and the rest of the team for such a wonderful experience! I'll definitely be back when the timing is right for my helix.

I was very unimpressed with the overall service of this Zales location. The assistant manager,…read moreEsmeralda, did a poor job with sharing product knowledge of the engagement rings we were looking at and the store manager, Magali, was willing to be dishonest in order to prevent us from going to another Zales location. She went as far as telling us it's a waste of gas to travel to OC and that if we were to purchase a Vera Wang Love collection ring at another location, they would possibly send us one with a cloudy diamond. Esmeralda also mentioned the Vera Wang love collection engagement rings were mass produced which really dulls the exclusivity of the ring. I highly recommend going to the West Covina Zales location instead.

I recently went to Eastern Gem and saw a diamond necklace that I really liked. The owner told me…read morethe price was $2,800 and confirmed that the diamonds were natural. Since it was my first stop, I told him I wanted to look around before deciding. Just a few doors away, I visited another jewelry store and was shown the exact same style of necklace -- but there, the price was $4,000. When I mentioned that I had just been quoted $2,800 at another store, the owner looked concerned and asked if those diamonds were lab-grown. I explained that I had been told they were natural, but he insisted that at that price, they almost certainly couldn't be. He offered the same necklace for $3,900, emphasizing that his diamonds were definitely natural. Curious, I went back to Eastern Gem and again asked about the stones. The owner once more assured me they were natural and the price was still $2,800. To be sure, I went to a third jewelry store, where I was quoted $3,800 for the same necklace with natural diamonds. I also stopped by a fourth store where I'd purchased jewelry in the past. That owner confirmed what the others had said -- that there's no way a necklace like that could be made with natural diamonds at that price, and it must be lab-grown. When I got home, I called Eastern Gem again. The owner repeated that the necklace was made with natural diamonds and said he could give me an approximate quality in writing. Still feeling unsure, I called him back once more and explained that three other jewelers had all questioned how the price could be so low. At that point, he changed his story completely. He admitted he could make the necklace for $2,800 with lab-grown diamonds -- contradicting what he had told me multiple times before. I truly loved that necklace -- it was the first I had seen and the price seemed right -- but in the end, I realized it was too low for the quality I expected. This experience showed me how easily someone can be sold something different from what they believe they're buying. Always compare, ask for proof in writing, and trust your instincts.
