chili cheeze fries
Delanie M.

if we lived in indiana, loving cafe would be a regular spot for us. the meal we had was warm, delicious, and just as the name states - loving. we felt good after this meal. simple as that. everything that came out was fresh and hot. the chili cheeze fries and golden soup came out first. the chili was savory, slightly sweet, and hearty. the cheese melted very well and the fries were the perfect balance of soft and crisp. i read rave reviews about the golden soup and it did not disappoint. the soup was thick, creamy, and flavorful. the curry and coconut flavors were subtle. i ordered the sesame sweet and sour plant nuggets and my partner got the tofu jackpot sandwich. the lettuce on the sandwich was so crisp and fresh, the tomato was juicy, the tofu seasoned well, and the sauce..... amazing. the sweet and sour nuggets were crispy and the veggies were the perfect cook and consistency. we got a carrot cake slice to go which i did not like at all but the main meal itself was so good it doesn't change my rating. we were so full and happy.

Yelp again to the rescue in helping me find this quaint little organic and vegan!! café in FW. I dropped in to get dinner to take home late afternoon. I ordered at the counter with a very helpful woman who explained several menu items to me. She noted that they also offer gluten free choices, as well. Their varied menu would certainly suit any diet! I ended up with two avocado spring rolls and a raw taco salad. I sat at a table for my very short wait and the kind waitress asked if I needed plastic ware or napkins, which I very much appreciated. No sense in adding more to my overflowing drawer! My items were packaged neatly and I was even more impressed with the Greenmore takeout clamshell. I commend any restaurant that makes an effort to help the environment. I couldn't resist trying one of the spring rolls in the car. They were huge; and all the ingredients were quite fresh. It was like a rolled salad. The real star was the dipping sauce...so flavorful! When I got home, I dug into my salad. The "meat" is made with seasoned walnuts and I was truly impressed with how realistic the flavor was. The kale chips seasoned with nooch were the perfect topper. The dressing was a raw ginger sauce with a light and tangy taste. This place really is lovely, and I'll be sure to return again soon!

Vegan Steak Pepper

Listen. I was so skeptical to try this place because I've had vegan food before and it's a hit or miss. They did not disappoint!!! Here's what I ordered: -Vegan Steak Pepper: omg my absolute favorite. So flavorful and the veggies and rice beautifully compliment this dish. A+++++ -Spicy Wingz: yum! These are like boneless wings or strips but they are fantastic. Couldn't stop eating. The vegan ranch that pairs with it is outstanding. I opted for extra Wingz instead of the soup. -Oatmeal Raisin cookie: with only 3 ingredients this cookie definitely packs a punch! So delicious without a bunch of junk. I was completely satisfied with my meal and will be back to try more. What sealed the deal for me was when the lady behind the counter added some extra items for my children to our meal and brought our food outside to us. My new favorite spot!

Yoka soba noodle dish. Very good and huge portion

I eat here once a week usually. Tonight I tried their BBQ wings that comes with a soup. I always get the golden soup. The wings are huge. 6 of them with celery and soup. Easily shareable. Comes with a version of ranch dressing but TBH taste like Mayo. I also asked for their honey mustard dressing and I loved it. Must try meal. Sooo good. Tastes just like chicken.I always get a cup of soup which is always amazing. All of them are but my favs are golden soup and mushroom pistachio. My GF usually changes her dishes up but honestly we haven't had one thing that doesn't taste good. All ingredients are fresh and made to order. Dine in or carry out and they're always always busy. Great service great owners. Locally owned and very clean. It's my favorite place to eat in town. Hands down.

Raw French Fries!! The bomb, everything fresh and perfectly prepared. I Love me some Loving Cafe

I'm telling you this dish (Raw French Fries - avocado) could be served at any upscale restaurant. Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned, prepared and as you can see beautifully presented!

This is the best restaurant I have ever been to. Out of steakhouses with $89 steak and amazing places in California, Nashville, the gulf, Chicago and more, I have yet to find anywhere matching quality, taste, value, and nutrition content on a level like this! The menu is huge for being such a small tiny spot. It is rare to get an original and diverse menu of alternative ingredients and raw options with these wondefully lower prices and quality - there has to be a loving mom in the kitchen! Atmosphere and space is on a budget but outside dining on a warm summer day make up for it. Not everything is vegan or raw, don't judge too quick on the health bias - everything I've had here is full of flavor and makes most traditional dishes boring. Favorites are the Black Burger, Portabella Sandwich, Golden & Delight & White Chili soups, raw Cheesecake, and Thai Tea.

Spring Rolls

Spring Rolls Tiny cozy place to eat! The lady at the front counter was friendly! The food was hot, fresh, and delicious! The pho soup had thick yummy noodles with alternative meat that taste is just as good as meat. The price wasn't too bad either.

It has a fun atmosphere while still being perfect for a nice dinner or date night. One of my personal favorites is the steak and eggs, and I love that you can get it during both brunch AND lunch! There are so many great choices on the menu, though, and everything we've tried has been delicious. And you HAVE to try the carrot cake. It is GINORMOUS and absolutely delicious! Definitely big enough to share--or eat some there and take the rest home for later, which is usually the better plan. We really love this place and have never been disappointed. The restaurant had a wonderfully lively atmosphere, yet it never felt too loud or overwhelming. Our server, Caity, was fantastic. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and her hospitality made our evening very special. EVERYTHING she suggested was perfection. We had and enjoyed their signature Crab Cakes, Sea Bass, and Beignets. If drinking alcohol try the marvelous Old Fashioned, and if not drinking alcohol try the refreshing Lemon Meringue. Caity made our night unforgettable. 1,000 stars all the way! We will definitely be back.

800 Degrees (Lima Road) - another wood fired pizza option…read more We occasionally visit 800 degrees for something different. You can find 800 Degrees in the east end of the strip mall behind the Starbucks/across Lima from Walmart. It's a large and open restaurant with a small bar area. There is a smaller patio for your outside dining option. They have a similar menu and pricing compared to other places like them. We find their salads to be very tasty and consistent. The team here is always friendly and hustled to serve you. The free warm/soft chocolate chip cookies found at the bar are a nice parting gift. In this occasion we ordered a 12 inch Supremo pizza for $17.85. The flour tasting crust is soft on the inside with crispy wood fired texture on the edges. The bottom is firmer without being crunchy. The toppings are fresh. The mushrooms, green peppers and onions have a slight crunch. The pepperoni and sausage have nice meat flavors and a hit of spiciness. Not much cheese. The tomato sauce definitely has a bolder tomato taste. Though the sauce is not applied very thick or plentiful. Cold Pizza Test - the crust got a little more firm and chewy, but not overbearingly. The meats began to step forward with time to marinate - very nice. The vegetables lost some of their crisp and weren't as tasty. Overall not bad.

I…read morecontend that 800 Degrees is far and wide the best pizza in Fort Wayne, but after our last fiasco about two years ago when the presumed owner acted like a sanctimonious jackass, we have not been back. Fast forward to today and the house hottie wanted to do the humble thing and give them another go (Against my better judgement, but I digress... Happy wife, happy life). I've inexplicably gotten a gluten sensitivity about a year ago (which sucks), so we ordered two GF pizzas. The pizzas are literally half the size of their standard Neopolitan pizzas along with a $4.00 up-charge for GF, totaling $51 for carry-out (just two tiny skimpily topped pizzas, nothing else)... This is a joke right? While the pizzas were good (not as good as their Neopolitan), $51 is laughable and frankly insulting. Wow, this is some "bold" customer price gouging and should piss-off anyone that orders their GF pizza... Albeit I wouldn't expect anything less coming from the guy that treats his customers like ill repute. Needless to say, we are officially done with 800 Degrees... From bad customer treatment to getting bent by over like a cheap Vegas hooker via price gouging, 800 Degrees and its pompous owner can get bent. This is such a travesty because 800 Degrees is an outstanding pizzeria, but there are other solid pizzerias in Fort Wayne that deserve our business because they don't do either of the above. Good riddance.

The hollandaise sauce blended all the flavors nicely. She said it had a little kick up it also. I had the chef's special breakfast chorizo burrito. I really liked the brown sauce.
