My family and I have been going to this Lovett Dental for 8 years! One of our five kids needed braces and this is where we took him. I have had massive dental work done, including bridges. I have not had to wait very long for any of my appointments in the last few years. I will admit that about 3 years ago, there were very long waits, when they were going through a major transition time with one particular dentist, but in the last few years, things have been fine. We love this location and would not be willing to go anywhere else. We tried several in the Willis/Montgomery area. The dentists are excellent and I always feel I'm in good hands. I hate having dental work done and have had to have a lot done, so it matters to me, that their dentists are pleasant. They have worked with us on the financing too which we appreciate. I live about 30 minutes from this location, as we live in the country. The staff are consistently polite, informed, and friendly. It's like going to see family considering how many times we've had to go to their office. I'm writing because I feel that since we've had six family members getting all their dental work done there for the last 8 years, I ought to take the time to write a review. If you need anything more than a cleaning- don't go here- there are WAY better places that will get you better treatment. And OTHER places that can make your crown onsite- not a two week wait. I had a filling partially come out...? Never happened before- and it was painful having that gap - and I didn't have any pain before. So had to get that fixed. And the other fillings weren't good- had sharp edges and honestly didn't trust them to work any further on my mouth once I got the crown since I had already paid for it. And I was in pain entire time with the temporary crown and didn't have pain or the sensitivity before. A dentist should be able to make fillings teeth shaped and not have rigid edges or protrusions. If a Dr Kyle Sanders suggests extracting your child's teeth or doing any work on them get a second and third opinion. I was told to bring my almost 2 year old in due to two bad cavities and the only option she wanted to do was extract the teeth. She said she could attempt saving them but probably couldn't. When asked what she would put in their place since she wanted to extract both front teeth she informed me "absolutely nothing". Wasn't even willing to suggest spacers to keep the teeth from rearranging. This was my daughter's front teeth and she was willing to impact her speech and cause other delays just to avoid doing the work when I was more than willing to spend the money. She sat there belittling me telling me my daughter couldn't have juice or milk to drink at all and should have absolutely nothing to drink at night no matter what. She harped every time my daughter grabbed her cup to drink while in that office. Before I left I asked her for a quote for saving them and a quote for extracting them just so I could go over my options. They informed me they would call me Tuesday as this was during the winter ice storm and I never received a call. I didn't hear back till Friday after I emailed Shantrise who informed me she thought it was sent already on Thursday night and said she would send it the following day. That's when they proceeded to send me on a wild goose chase basically. She gave me hope they could Cap them when her team sent me a quote and I verified with the employee they could do the work. I drove an hour out of my way to her Conroe location to have the work done and she informs me after she showed up late that the only thing she can do is extract them as the front desk clerk informed me minutes prior she doesn't know what she's talking about as she was just told to get a quote to Cap the teeth. I walked out that morning with the statement of "I'm not letting you pull a 2 year olds teeth without attempting to save them" and never looked back. Do NOT go to this office if you don't want to be scammed by having to pay more. I was going to be a new patient and I knew they had to do x-rays. The billing person comes afterward and says I have to pay $47 of it. I told her I know my plan covers 100% and she said no. When I left the office I called the dental insurance and verified I was correct. Then they tried to say I would owe another $200 because I needed a "deep" cleaning which was NOT the case. The dentist even looked at me and said I looked good. I only needed a regular cleaning but they tried to do extra and charge more. I told the billing person that this and she was rude. I walked out of the appointment. They will charge you to get more than the insurance to pay for when it is NOT necessary. Do NOT waste your time here. I went there and was taken to the room. the nurse was extremely rude and acted like she didnt want to be there. She kept loudly sighing next to me and had the worse bedside manner. I gave them my insurance the day before my appt. they tell me while I'm there being examined that there is an issue with my insurance and they will need to schedule it later. mind you my tooth is literally broken and I am in pain. they tell me it could take up to a week but they will reach out. they never reached out. I went to Lovett in Conroe early in May with a broken crown. They took ex rays and told me that they would call me back after submitting my claim to my insurance. I called back repeatedly over the next two months most of the time I got an answering machine. They eventually figured out that they had submitted the claim to the wrong insurance company. I waited another month until I received a bill in the mail. Called left messages nothing. I went back in person and they informed me that they had been bought out by a new dentist and he didn't accept Liberty insurance. We paid the bill in order to get them out of our lives. Now we have to wait 6 months because our insurance won't pay for another exam until then. read more

I went to Lovett Dental with positive thoughts about getting my missing filling fixed. First visit I had X-rays and a cleaning all was well. Met the nice dentist they assigned for me and had a nice consultation. Came back in October and had my filling refilled... I thought all was well but realized late that afternoon that the wrong tooth was filled. My mouth was numb so I could not tell which tooth it was. I was ok with this since it was in need of a filling. I tried to get back in so the correct tooth could be filled and there were no openings so I wait in pain till the new year.... Lets say finally a Wednesday appt in February. Well I get a text and they are not open on Wednesday because they are open on Saturdays. I reset the appointment for February 15th at 9am. I get in and pay $10.00 and then brought back for X-rays.... Again! I asked why and the girl says its because there is a new dentist that I will be seeing. I ask why can't the new dentist read the recent x-rays from November 2023? She said no because I am a new patient. The girl also tried putting those unpleasant x ray props in my mouth 2 times and they were way too big, not happy about the whole situation, so I got up and left. I tried calling to corporate for Lovett Dental and tried 3 times with different numbers I was given. Later I had a phone call from Misty the office manager and told her I wanted my $10.00 back and she said no and was rude and had an attitude. I told her not to get smart with me. This isn't my first negative experience at this office. To be honest the only reason why I have gone back is up until recently they were the only office in my area that excepted my dental insurance. I will not go back after today. Today I waited an hour in the waiting room past my appointment time and I asked what was taking so long and they told me that the root canal before me was taking longer than expected. That is understandable, but a little communication during the hour would have been nice. 20 minutes later they brought me to a room that was filthy. There were chewed up sunflower seeds in a corner under a torn up dirty looking chair. There was an old file box in the corner that looks like it had water damage and mold spots forming. I asked if they had cleaned the room after I dusted hair that was not mine off of the old tilted chair I was supposed to sit in and they told me yes. The dentist came in and asked me to switch to a different room. So I get to the new room and the only thing that is better was the chair that I had to sit in looked slightly less offensive. The floor was filthy, thick dust on the computer, nothing looked like it had been properly cleaned in years. The only thing that kept me from leaving in that moment was my painful tooth. The dentist himself and the staff were great, other than the older woman at the front desk. Now that I've read the other reviews I see that a lot of people have complained about her. Maybe she's just miserable and rude because she works in a filthy dental office and has to deal with the complaints that come from it. As I was leaving I saw that the only thing they do to clean the chair between patients is quickly wipe it down with what looks like a Lysol wipe. I don't feel like that's a proper way to clean a dental office any time let alone during a pandemic. In the past I have waited over an hour past my appointment time to be seen. Also in the past I had an allergic reaction and when I called them to ask what they had used on me they told me that the dental hygienist was busy and that she would have to call me back. I never got a call back. I also had a dental assistant place my crown on and no dentist came to check to make sure it was placed right. I called and asked if they were allowed to do that they told me yes, but a quick Google search told me that not only is that dangerous but it is illegal. During my last cleaning when I went to pay they told me I owed an additional amount because the dental hygienist had to do an irrigation on my bottom teeth. I don't know what irrigation is but I'm pretty sure she didn't do anything but scrape the plaque off like any normal teeth cleaning. Maybe that's what irrigation is, but either way I should have been asked before it was done to make sure that the extra charge was okay. I ended up not having to pay it because one of the ladies at the front desk said I had a credit on my account that would cover it. All three of my visits here have been disappointing. I don't usually leave bad reviews but this place gives corporate dental a bad name. 1) their office is dirty. 2) my toddlers first appointment was delayed by over 2 hours!! You cannot do this to a toddler. 3) their patient interaction is horrific. I am not happy leaving a review like this but I feel like people NEED to know. I came to this office because I literally couldn't find another dental office the accepted my insurance. In fact, I came here without reading the reviews. I don't want to be to wordy so I am trying to skip right to the points. This office is dirty. The wait is long. The dental assistant literally had to smack the X-ray machine for it to work. I was a bit afraid to rest my chin on it. Below is the reasons I believe this is a dangerous place to go: I was given X-rays and seated by the dental assistant. Next comes the dental hygienist. She WILL tell you that you have gum disease. She hit my gums hard with her tool (you know that sharp needle thing) and I said "ouch." She said oh yes that hurt because you have gum disease. She said at the end they will go over my treatment with me. I absolutely do not have gum disease and apparently (read google reviews) this is a tactic they use to get a lot of money. The dentist was nice. At the end of appointment you will go in a room with the office manager, door closed... and she will tell you all of the work that needs to be done to clean your teeth. I knew something was wrong. I couldn't wait to get out of that office. This is the worst dental office I've ever been to and I am 48 years old. A week later they filed a claim with my insurance to try and bill over 3,000.00 for work they "wanted to do." Not a chance. Horrible service !!! Went in for a new patient visit and cleaning. Walked out with no cleaning, and a treatment plan totaling over 3,000 dollars because I need two crowns...and coincidentally the dentist had a cancelation that day and time I happened to be in the chair so we could do all of it while I'm already there...and if not they said he wouldn't be able to get to me for months and by that point I would need a root canal . SEEMS LIKE A MONEY MAKING SCHEME TO ME. Went up front to check out and asked about my cleaning, they said I don't need a cleaning at this time. Hmmm I needed two crowns but my teeth are clean enough to not need a cleaning. Mind you I haven't been to the dentist since before I had my daughter a year ago. So that didn't make sense to me. Went home to see that I had been charged for my cleaning after all, despite the fact they didn't do it. Spoke with them on the phone and they said I could come in to have that cleaning done, but they couldn't fit me in for a month. So I scheduled a cleaning, you don't clean my teeth, you charge me for the cleaning and then tell me I can come in 30 days from now to get it done. WHAT JOKE. I CALLED FOR A REFUND INSTEAD...and 3 months later still have not gotten that refund. The worst experience I have ever encountered. Planned my visit two weeks in advance, provided all my information at that time also. Arrived at my appointment, had my X-rays, the dentist did my exam prior to my cleaning. Then after waiting in the chair an additional 20min, the office manager tells me they were unable to verify my insurance rates. So I told her, I would just pay cash for the cleaning, that it wasn't a money issue for me and more important that I get the cleaning done. She then said their wasn't a hygienist available??? First, this is not a review of their dental services. I never got that far. I went in for an appointment today and left after 40 minutes having never seen a dentist. I've had around a dozen different dentists in my life as I've traveled often. I don't mind the dentist and even have a few as social media friends. I do, however, expect a pleasant atmosphere, friendly greeting, professional presentation and prompt service. It's a dentist, after all. We're going to be working together closely. I was never greeted. After standing at the desk for several minutes without ever receiving eye contact, a sign in clipboard was thrust at me. The waiting room is huge and full of wild children. The staff seems overwhelmed, though nice enough considering the chaotic atmosphere. The gentleman bringing people back seemed unkempt with visible tattoos, often a no-no in professional fields. The feeling was that of a DMV or an emergency room. Lots of glum people sitting around waiting...hoping for the best in what was clearly not a good situation. Not what I'm looking for in a dentist. I arrived at 10:51 AM for an 11 AM appointment. I left at 11:30 having never left the waiting room. I declined the invitation to reschedule. read more

This last time, my 2 yr old had to have some work done and wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything prior to the appt. Well, he woke up at 7, we got there at 9:20 for his 9:45 appt. My husband had an appointment yesterday for a consult. When we arrived, we found the staff to be very helpful, friendly and professional. X-rays were taken by Val. Very proficient and friendly at all that she did. Then we saw Dr. Miguel. Dr. Miguel assessed my husband's teeth and came up with a plan of action. They even faxed a medical release to my husband's oncologist. My husband's case is not a normal run of the mill case. Dr. Miguel and Val were both very informative and very cautious when describing the steps needed to restore health and a pain free smile. I had been to Lovett Dental in downtown Houston and was pleased. I am happy to say that the Conroe office on Davis street is excellent. We found Dr. Miguel put us at ease and has such a wonderful sense of humor. I highly recommend them due to thoughtful consideration for treatment and friendliness of all staff from the moment you walk in the door! I even scheduled my teeth cleaning while I was there! I am sure the dental team at Lovett is wonderful. But do not have kind words for how their office management Sara for the ortho team. I had a consult, where I was told they would the ortho team was in every Monday. When we came in for her first appointment to get the braces on they forgot to order the brackets. They finally found some for the uppers only. A couple of weeks went by and the wire was bothering her so I called to make an appointment, and was told they were in every other Monday. I kept the original appointment that we had and spoke to Sara about being told this and she said no that info was incorrect, that they were there every Monday. She then gave me her number and said to call if there was an issue. We made an appointment for 6 weeks out, I called last week to change the time and Sara never called me back. I went to the appointment today only to be told that ortho wasn't in today, that they work every other Mondy. Do not use these people for ortho work! read more

Worst Dental Assistant and appt ever! Was told my 5 yr old daughter needed a cap. Appt was for 9:00. They took her in at 11:00. They gave her a very large full syringe of liquid sedation medication that she could not swallow all at once. They scraped the medicine off her shirt and arm put it back in the syringe and forced her to swallow it. Told her if she did not they would take her in the backroom TIE HER UP and make her swallow it. Procedure took less than 10 minutes. She came out screaming for over 30 minutes. Took her home and she was hallucinating for 5 hours, could not sleep, was talking to things that were not there and picking flowers that were not there. Assume she was over medicated. I'm extremely upset. I was told Saturday when I came into this Dental office I would get the treatment, surgery and service I needed for my tooth, not to eat or drink after midnight and come in for the procedure scheduled at 9:00am, only to be told for Wednesday the day of my appointment that I wasn't going to receive the surgery due to full booking from other clients even though I was told that they would assist me with my surgery. Gary the kind and knowledgeable assistant assured me they would and will do the surgery to relieve my pain in my tooth, this past Saturday and so now this Wednesday on top of it all the oral surgeon was 30 minutes late! Mind you I'm sitting here in excruciating pain! Not only did they lie and create a more stressful and painful situation for me, they now want me to drive ALL the way to downtown Houston to have my surgery TOMORROW! Not happy and do not under any circumstance trust this business. I feel taken advantage of and lied to about my health plan and action of care. As advised by my Conroe Lovett dentist, I went to a specialist for a root canal. When that was completed, I was advised to return to Lovett for a crown over the very fragile root canal. I made multiple calls trying to get an appointment for the crown. The responses ranged from being advised to send an email with my insurance benefits detail to the insurance clerk, to leaving messages with an employee who was completely unaware of how to help anyone, to calling during regular hours and listening to the phone ring 30 or more times with no answer. At one point I was told they would contact my insurance company for authorization and call me back when they got the info. I never received a call from anyone. Five to six weeks after the root canal I finally asked for the manager and she could not have been less concerned about the lack of care I received. She informed me that my dentist had retired from the practice and my insurance was no longer accepted at their practice. I lost 6 precious weeks that I could have gone elsewhere to get the needed crown. It is astounding that a dental practice could be so poorly managed. Their patients are not the slightest bit important to them. I hope the dentists at this practice know how their front line is NOT helping their patients. This lack of care is disgraceful. read more
