Came in for a check up/ 6 month cleaning--office wanted me to do a special deep clean costing over a $1000!!! When I declined, I learned that they will not clean your teeth at all!! They take the money for the visit but won't. They state that it could dislodge some debris's causing possible risk for infection--TOLD ME TO GO TO ANOTHER OFFICR IF I DIDNT LIKE IT. Office went as far as say LEGALLY couldn't touch it--so I asked "...so it is better to leave it than at least do a general clean?" So guess what??? I went ahead and took the office's recommendation--I found another local dentist that does do the traditional general cleaning regardless if you decline their recommendation for a deeper clean. I rarely leave negative reviews, but Lake Conroe Dentistry has earned every bit of this one. My experience was a frustrating, disorganized mess from start to finish. They scheduled me for multiple appointments- that I wasn't even in Texas for, only to completely drop the ball on what I was actually there for -- my retainers. Not only did I never receive the retainers, but they had the audacity to charge me for them anyway. When I brought it up, I was met with zero accountability and a front desk staff that seemed more interested in avoiding responsibility than helping patients. Speaking of the front desk, the staff is, frankly, terrible. Disorganized, rude, and completely unprofessional. I was cut off multiple times, given conflicting information, and treated like an inconvenience for asking about services I had already paid for. Really wish I would have read these previous reviews prior to my visit. Will never go back! Not only is the front desk rude and no help whatsoever. They told me my price of treatment over the phone and go in and it's $100 more than I was told. Come to find out they didn't even send my insurance paperwork with regarding the procedure prior (even though they said they did but my insurance has nothing from them) so that I had to pay the full amount. The actual dentists are ok. After yo are gone they WILL over charge your insurance and try to get you to over pay for your work. They will tell you that you need more work than you do or even say they 'completed' work they never did. Not to mention they said I needed to get $1200 worth of deep cleaning. Absolutely insane. I go to the dentists for routine cleaning every 6 months and have never been told this before. Worst dentist ever went for a cleaning they did a ton of X-rays cutting my mouth extensively then proceeded to tell me that I had extreme gum disease and bone loss and needed expensive treatments I have gone to my regular dentist twice a year for the past 25 years (moved here and wanted someone closer than Houston)there is no indication on my last X-rays and exam that I have any issues then they proceeded to tell me they could not do the cleaning that day and I would have to come back I specifically said I was coming for a cleaning when I made the appointment I left with nothing done. Dr Rivera and staff are absolute angels! I went to them with the worst toothache I've ever experienced, they treated me gently and was very careful and considerate while taking X-rays and explaining the next steps. I admit that Lake Conroe Dentistry was not the first dentist I visited for my toothache, as i wanted a second opinion due to the first dental office wanted to remove THREE TEETH!! Dr Rivera told me he would make every effort to save my teeth and that is exactly what he did! He was very informative during the entire procedure, extremely gentle and made sure I was completely comfortable the entire visit. The entire staff provided the same care and assistance for the almost 2 hour procedure, making sure every detail was covered. Dentist visits are not the most desirable place to spend an afternoon, but I can assure you - Lake Conroe Dentistry takes every effort to ease your anxiety and have the absolute most pleasant dental experience! They were pretty sure upfront that they were not going to do the cleaning as they mentioned "if" they could do the cleaning. They said I required some expensive deep cleaning and would have to come back every three months. They also told me I had stage III grade be gum disease. EXTREMELY overpriced and the so called "health coordinator" at the front desk is purely there to take your money she offers no explanation of charges. My wife had a lot of work done on her teeth, they replaced some very old implants and deep cleaning and gum work. She hates going to the dentist, but, these guys made her feel comfortable and she really didn't mind going at all. They did a great job and her teeth look great. This place is something else. I recently made an appointment and need about 20K in work and told them this. I provided my info and ins number and phone number and they set appointment for 1 today. On phone they said someone may call for more info, no problem, no one called and I arrive for my appointment at 1. I check in and the 2 women say yeah you had an appointment at 1 but we need way more much information. Huh? You have insurance and my name and number, I am here for an exam and treatment plan and no one called me. She says yeah I called several times, I said yeah why no message? She eads off my number and its wrong number, I read off my number and she says oh yeah that one, ok why no message? I called and you voice mail is full. I turned around and walked out. My VM is not full, y phone tells me when it is, I had a vm yesterday and one the previous Friday, nothing from this place. In addition to all this which I am not surprised by. I realized I had been to this place back in 2019 and this is one of two dentist that gave me a quote of 15K-20K in repair work. Unfortunately my first appointment was with an entodontist at their place, they make you make a down payment because they are not licensed and have to bring some clown in, the guy cancelled my appointment while I had a broken tooth. I had a wonderful experience when I contacted the Lake Conroe Dentistry today. I had been referred to a periodontist because my general dentist was unable to find out what was causing a problem with one of my back teeth. The particular tooth and question was covered by a bridge. I felt like it was infected, but my regular dentist could find no evidence of that. So, when I contacted Lake Conroe Dentistry they were actually able to see me on an emergency basis today. They did a panoramic view of the problem area. I had a large infection behind one of my second molars. Dr. Cabrera showed me the area of infection. He came up with a treatment plan and a plan going forward. I was particularly impressed with the way all of the staff listen to their patients. Every single person I spoke with, was very respectful. Dr. Cabrera answered all of my questions and gave me information In great detail. I have now found my new dental office! They obviously care about their patients. They do all sorts of dental work like dental cleanings, crowns, bridges, etc. They also have specialized services like Periodontal, Endodontist, etc. Thank you so much for taking care of my dental in Emergency today. You have won me over. You have a new client! If you want complete care for your teeth and a dental office that really knows what they are doing, this is the place to go. Kudos to all of the staff. Worst place to go and get your teeth clean. I felt like I was in a car dealership. If you don't accept all the extra services they will put you at the end of the line and make you wait for another appointment. They told my wife she had a gum disease and wanted her to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket. She visited another dentist and did another x-rays to confirm Lake Conroe Dentistry claims and found out there was nothing wrong with her gums. Don't visit this place and save your money. read more

I've had routine cleanings every 6 months for years, and I have good dental hygiene at home. Since my regular dentist stopped taking my insurance, I switched to Lake Conroe Dentistry. However, at my first appointment, which was just a new patient check-up and cleaning, the dentist said I needed extensive work that would cost $945 ($3,215 without insurance). They were ready to do the work *that day.* Then they said I could no longer have routine cleanings and would need "deeper" cleanings *every 3 months* at $692 per appointment ($1,765 without insurance). When I asked about just getting my routine cleaning that day (which is completely covered by insurance), the dentist said they couldn't do it because it would make everything worse. The entire office seems to work together to push this message. It was high-pressure and very uncomfortable. I'm the kind of person who always trusts medical professionals, but at this appointment, everything in me was yelling, "LEAVE NOW." It was awkward, but I'm glad I left. read more

Dr. Rivera is a very personable guy working in what appears to be a State of the art facility. He sits you in his office on your first visit tells you his background, from education to places and facilities he has worked. It all sounded very impressive. I truly thought we had found our new dentist. NOT My wife who has perfect teeth, that are bright white was told she needed several crowns in addition to other extensive dental work. This NUT wanted to charge in the ball park of around 4500 dollars. Next shocker! I was told my son who is in his early teens, who by the way has never had a cavity needed several fillings and his wisdom teeth pulled! This NUT wanted to charge in the ball park of 2500 dollars! Ok on to me! I was in for a real treat! The cost of my repair bill was going to be in the ball park of around 5000 dollars! Had several cavities, several fillings needed to be replaced and needed several crowns. We all just went in for a initial exam as new patients and to have our teeth cleaned! I was shocked to say the least. Oh and by the way that was out of pocket cost after my insurance got jammed for their portion of the bill. I will tell you he has his office staff trained very well to sell his BS. They wanted to immediately start butchering our mouths apart that day! They make a full range of teeth and crowns on site, so you can leave with a butchered mouth and a great smile. Oh and don't forget a empty bank account! To think someone would yank ones teeth needlessly and preform unnecessary dentil work is sickening to say the least! He needs to be reported to the Texas medical board and have his license revoked. The people here used to be so nice. They hired a rude receptionist. Rude rude rude!!! They also can't seem to keep Dr's or staff. Ive paid them thousands of dollars and for what..for them to do semi-good work (which I was told later on that my $300 inlay was not done correctly by one or their previous Dr's). I came with my gf to her appointment. And to clarify she gets regular cleanings and takes very good care of her mouth. She did her xrays and immediately the dentist had something negative to say. Very typical but, they like to use the word "disease" as a sales tactic. Because hey, if someone tells you have a disease you're more likely to spend a hell of a lot more money. The Dr. was very personable, and reminded me of someone that would sell me my car. His hygienist that helped us was an excellent closer if you fall into the fear tactic, she quoted us $570 for an unnecessary laser treatment and when asked why so much. She said "well if I change this here it'll bring your total down to $270, we just don't like doing that cause it's more work" I am confused on why "more work" costs half the price? Maybe because $270 is the actual cost and the rest is a "bonus" for the salesperson? Lastly, once we said no, we will just do the cleaning and "reschedule" for the "disease" treatment. We were told it would be 40 minutes before they could get to us. I guarantee had we moved forward with the laser treatment, my gf would've been worked on almost immediately. Also recommended she come in every 3 months instead of the regular 6 month cleaning that every other dentist every where recommends. Pathetic and manipulative. You guys need to get out of the healthcare industry, using someone's fear as a way to make money is unethical to say the least. My gf is now using my family's longtime dentist Dr. Green at white oak dental and will never look back at this place. Oh and btw after a new check up with the new dentist. I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff were fantastic! Kind, it was clean and updated. The Dr. Querhan, was AMAZING! She was personable and kinda and so knowledgable. She made sure that the teens in my family were included in the treatment plan discussions and had them repeat back the treatment plan so that they fully understood and took ownership of the plan.
