Fun dive bar with lots of pool tables. Free pool during the day too. Drinks that are reasonably priced. Old school fun for sure.

Now the life of the party is lost like a chicken McNugget dropped in the ball pit of a McDonald's play place. What's left is a random collection of half-baked ideas by management with no understanding of a music scene whose ever-changing themes seem copied from the websites of clubs in Europe, or maybe, Alabama, who knows? Go upstairs and things are worse with a Janky wanna-be suburban gangsta DJ playing pre-recorded mixes from songs that were obviously ripped from YouTube, and shooting monopoly money from toy guns like an anamatronic rat at Chick E. Cheezy's. Anything that was truly edgy and cool has now been thrown out and replaced by pure neglect, promos slapped together by some AI they didn't even bother buying a subscription to--you know, the basic version which is completely on brand--reduced to a desperate cash grab. This is apparent as soon as you step over puddles of urine and walk in the door, and through the fake metal detector (and oh yeah, then over sand bags and puddles from sewer pipes that overflow because the owner is too cheap to invest in repairs or ensure customer safety), finally into a building that is in disrepair. Yeah, it's a vibe from a backwater dancehall in Khazakhstan but unintentionally, not so much as a place of entertainment. Almost everything, and I mean everything in the venue is old, outdated, or broken, from the ATM (you'd be crazy to trust that anyway) and arcade games, to the club rooms with broken, non-working club lights, and again pipes that drip and leak (you'll literally see buckets on the middle of the dance floor, and garbage bags draped over the DJ booths and the bar--and no, they don't sanitize after these accidents, evveeeer. The place is in disrepair and what used to be rooms with cool decor are now just generic and dirty looking as basic cleanliness is non-existent--the whole venue reeks the moment you walk in. Most worrisome is the lack of security (good luck finding anyone if you need help after you get past the door person) making the disorganized chaos feel unsafe and gross and anything but exciting. While Milk was once a cool and celebrated part of the Denver club scene up until a few years before the pandemic, the owner has obviously lost touch with reality and has no sense of loyalty to a clientele and commujity who made his clubs successful. But this has been a long time coming as Milk has been on the slow and steady decline for years. Over the last year the place has spiraled into a complete free fall with the last regular DJs pushed out and replaced by amateurs like the dude who needs a platform to stand on whose sets sound like a complication of greatest hits CDs played on random, with no theme or identity. The events and nights seem thrown together at the last minute, like you know splattered against the wall to see what will stick, but it's stinking instead. Its consistency, its soul, its relevance is gone. Most damning and reflective is the point several other reviewers have made about the vibe of sexism that exudes like the toxic masculinity that produces it from those who run this place as it's almost all male managers, DJs and bartenders, with a few women in the lowest, menial positions. And that obvious bias and grossness speaks volumes! My humble advice: save your night, your money, your self-respect and conscience choosing instead to support venues and spaces that actually know something about loyalty and principles other than greed and pettiness, which actually cares about and respects its patrons and customers.

Honestly, we didn't know what to expect from Meow Wolf. Nowadays, you hear about "immersion…read moreexperiences", and think about people getting scammed into attending events that amount to mostly empty convention halls with a few cardboard cut-outs and balloons. Meow Wolf is definitely not that. The price of admission might seem steep, but what we thought would be a couple of hours of wandering around and enjoying the art, turned into five and a half hours of following an actual plot and interacting with the surroundings. There is so much to see and so much to interact with. Art absolutely everywhere, and constantly more to discover, even in areas you've already been to. We did not come close to completing the story, so we'll have to come back and keep investigating. A drink at the bar was the perfect way to end our adventure. Overall a really neat place to visit, but definitely make a day of it!

This was my first time at a Meow Wolf location, and as someone who is very into escape rooms, art, and unique experiences it feels like I absolutely am the target audience. On the surface, it is an extremely well designed interactive art experience that you can get lost in for hours. I absolutely loved this. When you look a bit deeper, it gets even cooler -- this interactive world has secrets and quests to uncover if you keep an eye out. However, this is where the problems started, because so many of these pieces were entirely non-functional. We had a QPass, which you can tap to terminals and other things to interact with the world and find lore and activities. This was paid, and while it was only $3, only about 60% of these tap features worked. There are also supposed to be a number of interactive quests in the space -- we uncovered the starting points and multiple steps of some, only to find parts were broken entirely and unable to be done. Finding and uncovering instructions on how to interact with a secret part of the world was thrilling, only to be incredibly disappointing when we rushed to the next stop to find it was broken and we wouldn't be able to complete it. We were in total only able to complete one quest (the pizza room) and would have done a second (the organ), but it was roped off as they were setting up for a nighttime event. Two phones in the station out of all the ones we tried worked, and they were so quiet you could barely hear anything. The convenience store, slime scanners, vending machine puzzle, panchinko machines, interactive computers, fossil room, and multiple QPass stations were all broken, only partially interactable, or frozen. We still spent hours at Meow Wolf, and it was an incredibly cool experience with weird and wonderful art. I had a fantastic time, but I almost wish I hadn't started to uncover the world and quests because then I wouldn't have known how busted so many of the features were. I would absolutely love to come back here if I knew these things would work, and I really hope they continue to invest in this space and do new and creative things. I wanted to love this, and I did, but it was also a bummer when I know how cool it really was supposed to be. I would still recommend it -- I would have given it 10 out of 5 stars but instead I'm sitting at like a 3.5 and I sincerely wish that wasn't the case.

And I am so glad it did. It was easy to request event info online and the event team was super responsive. Originally my event was for 20 people but we ended up having about 30 show up. But since we had the location to ourselves on a Monday, that number was fine. Kayla and Whitney were so great, they made sure everyone had everything they needed and kept the drinks flowing. I highly recommend partnering with Upstairs Circus for team building events team events friend events or just a fun time doing something creative. The diy projects vary in difficulty and mostly, it's something that you make and take with you. I made a gold tassel necklace and it wasn't easy but it's something that I'll have the rest of my life that I made at this event with this memory. Thank you Upstairs Circus for this experience!! Looking forward to doing it again.

What a fun and unique date night experience!…read more My girlfriend and I received a gift card to Upstairs Circus and chose to celebrate Valentine's Day crafting to our heart content. This place was a dream!! Now, I'm an experienced crafter myself, while my girlfriend is not so much, but I'm happy to say both of us were able to enjoy it. The options are a wide variety including activities for all skill levels, and the instructions are very straightforward. The bar menu was also plentiful, with a variety of signature cocktails, some limited wine selections, and even some holiday-inspired shots! I also felt like the staff all took great care of us, making sure we had a memorable experience. They continued checking on us whether to help with our crafts or to fill up our glasses, were kind and attentive. This was such a special experience!

Cute, fun spot for a big group or a night out…read more I've been to Happy Camper twice now, first for my engagement party and most recently for a birthday party, and both nights were a blast. It's very cute inside, with lots of string lights and plenty of room for big parties. You can make reservations, and they'll give you a full wrap-around U-shaped corner booth, which is great whether you want to sit all night or stand up and mingle. They also let you bring in your own cake for a cake cutting fee of around $25, I believe. There's also more of a bar-type area with smaller tables. The vibe works for a night out, dinner with a couple of friends, or a big group. Since we ordered a bunch and shared as a table both times, I've gotten to try quite a bit. For appetizers, the jalapeño homies were tasty and actually quite spicy. I love spice, and these had a kick. The potato skins were solid, and the whipped feta was good, though nothing crazy. The giant pretzel is a classic bar pretzel and tasty. The standout was the pulled pork nachos. I don't usually go for nachos, but these were loaded with toppings and great to share. The pizzas are the main event, and I'm a big fan of the quality across the board. The barbecue chicken, buffalo chicken, and chicken ranch were all classic and tasty. The large Matt has the classic everything: various meats, olives, mushrooms, and so on. My favorite so far is the large Nadine, with cupped pepperoni, ricotta, and hot honey, which makes for a great combination. The small Birria-za is a close second, with beef birria, jalapeños (not too spicy), and a birria dipping sauce. We were also there with a vegetarian, and the truffle mushroom pizza was surprisingly good. There are lots of fun drink options and everything I tried was quite good. The only things I haven't tried are the desserts, which I've had my eye on for next time.

My husband and I visited Happy Camper Pizza in Denver on October 16, 2026. What should have been an…read moreenjoyable dinner turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We had a 6:30 reservation and arrived at 6:35. Several people and groups were ahead of us in the check-in line. At 6:41 when we finally made it through the very long line, the hostess informed us that our reservation had been CANCELED because we were late! I explained we'd been standing in THEIR line for more than 10 minutes. The hostess said reservations are canceled after ten minutes. Wanting to be fair, I later made another reservation specifically to investigate whether this policy was disclosed. I checked the entire booking process, the rules and restrictions, AND the confirmation email. NOWHERE was there any warning about a ten-minute cancellation policy! The hostess offered to make a new reservation. We waited another 15-20 minutes to be seated. Things only got worse. Requesting a small sample of an unfamiliar beer turned into a discussion with an employee who insisted it tasted exactly like Coors Light and did I still want to taste it? Yes. I don't know what Coors Light tastes like. Our individual pizzas arrived eight minutes apart. When I tried moving my pizza rack closer to me, the food runner repeatedly moved it back to the center, even after I explained it was MY pizza. Eventually, he stacked my husband's pizza underneath mine. Why couldn't he simply explain what he was doing? The pizza was excessively salty, dry, and had burnt crust. See photos. When I complained, nobody offered a replacement, adjustment, or any meaningful follow-up. Our waitress was almost nonexistent. My beer arrived after the pizza. We couldn't get red pepper flakes, and my husband couldn't order another beer because she NEVER returned during dinner. She took our order, brought my beer sample, and we didn't see her again until she brought the bill. While I was STILL EATING, an employee removed our water carafe and BOTH water glasses, although we wanted more water! The one handicap accessible stall in the women's restroom had a clogged toilet that wouldn't flush. But my biggest concern was SAFETY. My tall bar stool rocked and shifted significantly whenever I moved. Several times I felt I might fall. When someone bumped the stool, it tipped, and I had to grab the table to prevent myself from falling! I have video of the chair. I reported a chair as a safety concern, and I got a blank look. An employee hovered near our table waiting to clear it. As soon as I stood, he moved in and knocked my eyeglasses off the table onto the next seat. Thankfully, they weren't damaged. After dinner, we waited approximately 22 minutes for our waitress to return. I timed part of that wait: 14 minutes and 13.1 seconds between speaking to the employee clearing our table and the waitress finally appearing. By then, we wanted nothing else. Just the check. She returned two minutes later with a handheld payment device that repeatedly failed. She had to retrieve another, causing an additional delay. We requested a manager, but none came. The explanation? It was a "busy night." Despite our complaints, we paid the FULL BILL. No discount, replacement, or meaningful effort to resolve anything. I understand restaurants get busy and mistakes happen. But that doesn't excuse poor food, inattentive service, unsafe seating, and disregard for customer concerns. What disappointed me most wasn't that so many things went wrong. It was that nobody seemed to care enough to make any of them right.
