Where to start.... First when we walked in, no one greeted us. Then when they did, it was "what you here for?" Im getting a manicure for these two girls "go over there" she says and points across the room. Well when we get to the seats they pointed to, some other woman tells us "no not there, THERE!" And points to the chairs across the room. Okay.... Should have just walked out then. After 40 minutes of waiting, another woman takes my child and put her in the chair we were originally instructed to sit. The lady doing her nails was very rough with her. Didn't instruct her to place her arms or fingers, just roughly grabbed them and forced them where she wanted them. After the first child was done, the same woman told my other daughter in a VERY rude tone, "HURRY HURRY! SIT SIT!" She's four and was placing the nail polish she had on the nail counter. Another customer I was sitting next to said "If that were my child, I wouldn't put up with that." And that's exactly what we did. I paid for the first, used a gift card (thank god I didn't have to spend my money here). They immediately started talking amoungest each other in their language, like I was the one being rude. I promptly took my daughter to another nail location across the street where there they treated her like a princess. If you're looking for a place with even a sliver of customer service, this is not the place for you. But if you don't mind, I still have 40.00 on the gift card you are welcome have! read more

Been going here for two years now. Love these ladies :) very friendly. Very quick and efficient. I've only ever gotten acrylics but they're hands down the best nails I've ever gotten. Since I've been going here I've gotten my nails done at about 8 other salons in the area and in Bellevue and none even come close to the quality of nails I get here. I live in Seattle, but have driven all the way to Bothell for this place once my cousin introduced me. Pedis are reasonably priced at $20 (or $25 if you opt for "diamonds" aka rhinestones or nail art on your big toes). Includes a 20 min leg/foot massage with hot stones - longest leg massage of anywhere I have been. They also do a fantastic job with acrylic nails and fills. Friendly service and good hours. My whole family goes here. The owners are friendly and will remember your name and face if you come on even fairly regularly. The pedis are the best because they spend a lot of time on sugar scrub, hot stones and massage all the way up to the knee, whereas many places concentrate more on just the foot. They also have the best pedi chairs, with great massagers, plenty of room to put your stuff, and USB charge in every chair. This place is often packed on weekends, so don't go if your in a hurry, but true upside is that even when they are busy they won't skimp on the service! read more

I've only been at this salon once and they remembered me! Teresa did my pedicure the first time so I requested for her again while I was getting shellac done by Lee. I got lucky and was able to get them done at the same time. The first time I came they were really busy, but they do their best to accommodate their customers. Great customer service and you know people love her after a nearby accident her customers just stopped in to make sure she was ok. I would recommend. This is the only place where I will get my nails done. They always take their time and do awesome job on my nails. I even take my children with me sometimes and they are more than accommodating. They listen to what I want and will offer suggestions and recommend different products, polishes and techniques. Love love lovely nails! read more

I am very picky about my acrylics and love to just get white tips and I have never been to a place that does a better job than Lovely Nails. Every single time my friends convince me to go with them to "their" nail place, it takes a lot of convincing (usually they are paying) but I get so dissappointed and always end up going back to Lovely Nails to have them fix it. I just thought it was strange that I didn't get to sit in a pedi chair, they just brought over a bowl to put my feet in. The women there are very sweet and complimentary. I have been going here for years now. They have the best prices around. I have had manicures, pedicures, gel, and waxing. They are very laid back and do a great job on everything. Most pedicures at other places only have a lotion rub, but they do scrub and hot rocks as part of their regular pedicure with no extra charge. They are always busy, and have tons of repeat customers, so often times they take breaks when it's busy or slow (but they deserve the break for their good work)! They also do shoulder massages upon request, and they are worth it! Highly recommend! read more

Ok place if you just want to be alone and get a cheap, decent manicure. However, when I go, I want it to be relaxing and feel pampered. If I go with a friend or one of my kids, I want to visit with them. This is not the place for that. My daughter likes going here because the shellac is cheap and lasts about 3 weeks. As in other reviews, the owner does dictate what color you get and you better like it. We have tried getting appointments and find there is no difference than just walking in. You sit wherever they point you to and wait. The last time I waited over 40 minutes. Every 15 minutes or so the owner would say "we'll be right with you." There is no sitting with your companion. One of my first times they talked me into a pedicure along with my manicure. It was disappointing. They just brought a pan of water into the manicure area. It was awkward and somewhat uncomfortable. I've given it several chances. Just not going back. There are too many other good places. I'll even pay a little more if I have to for a relaxing visit. read more

I will NEVER go to this place again!!! I also went in & chose a light pink color for my shellac mani. The owner told me it was too light for me. I told her I think I know what Id like. So she started on my nails, and decided to just go with a darker (pepto) Pink. I said "That is not the color I chose" and I showed her the sample & it was clearly a whole diff color. She replied "Well, I did those samples over 2 yrs ago, so they have faded" REALLY???? So you are giving us choices off a sample chart & they are totally diff colors??!! Great!! If I could give a negative star rating, I would. I was extremely irked by several things during my visit. My first visit was OK but this visit was inexcusable and I noticed things that weren't as apparent as before. I had 2 main issues: 1) customer service 2) sanitation of equipment Issue 1: Customer service starts when a consumer steps into an establishment. A) Waiting time When I first stepped into the nail salon, I was greeted then asked to pick a color. I told them I want both a manicure and a pedicure. I noticed that they were kind of busy but I picked a color anyways and made my way to the pedicure station that I was indicated for me to sit. So I sat and waited. I thought perhaps someone was finishing up with another customer. Not the case, I waited for over 30 minutes for the actual pedicure to start. I sat with my foot soaking in a blue solution with someone stopping by once and a while to tell me that someone will be coming soon. I was about to leave but as I was about to pick up my phone and belongings, someone sat down in front of me. I was in dire need of a pedicure and I figured that since I've invested that much time in waiting I might as well get my nails done. The problem wasn't waiting. The problem was I was told that someone was coming (twice!) and was made to wait 30 minutes. SUGGESTION: Have a receptionist that can deal with customers and arising issues. Also, communicate to your customers a realistic wait time! B) Communication and unprofessional Once my pedicure was completed. I was ushered to the other room for my manicure. The woman soaked my nails then did the cleaning. THEN SHE STOPPED. At first I thought she went to the bathroom or something. I HAD NO IDEA where she went! So the owner, Anna, hollered my way and told me that she will finish my nails. Unfortunately, Anna was doing someone's manicure so I had to WAIT. I was basically a captive audience at that point! SOLUTION: Don't start start a service you can't finish. DEFINITELY DO NOT ABANDON YOUR CUSTOMER IN THE MIDDLE! It's extremely unprofessional to walk off and not communicate what is going on. If language is a barrier, have someone translate but don't leave your customer confused as to what is going on. Respect your customer's time! Issue 2: Sanitation Sanitation is extremely important and if what I can see is not well sanitized then it leaves me doubtful of what I cannot see. A) Reused Emery Boards/Nail Files They used black/gray colored ones and I could see white residue from previous appointments. If you can't sanitize, then offer to sell disposable ones for purchase. B) Pedicure stations were rinsed not sanitized C) At the station next to me, I saw an older lady clip HER nails with a clipper then proceed to clip the nails of a child (customer) without sanitizing. Do not clip your nails in front of a customer! Definitely sanitize after each use. They seem to not care about how they were treating myself and some other clients. In terms of quality: Quality of pedicure: Good cleaning, warm stone massage, and nail polish application Quality of manicure: Not worth it! Rushed job and result was less than mediocre. TOTAL TIME for both services (a manicure and pedicure): 2.5 hours Will not be going here again! Totally irked! read more

I am in town visiting family, and was brought here for girl time today. I wish I could transport this salon to my home on the east coast! My pedicure was outstanding. The careful attention given to foot and nail care before applying polish was exceptional, and it included a hot stone massage. I normally just walk in without an appointment and they always make sure to get to me asap. All the girls are really nice. I got a pedicure on Sunday morning and it was so enjoyable! The salon isn't fancy, or even kept up well, but the massage chairs are great and the products felt great (scrubs, lotions, oils). My skin is easily irritated, but these products were gentle on my skin. The service was nice, I had a great conversation with the woman doing my pedicure. The hot stone massage is sooo relaxing! Over all great service for the cost. My pedicure was almost an hour with lots of massage, great color application, and just $25. read more

I've been going to this salon for the past 2 years. I originally stopped here because it was on my way home from work. It always looked busy so I thought that must be a good sign. The gals are welcoming. The tools are sterilized. The massage chairs are relaxing. They massage feet and lower legs for a wonderful 20 minutes. I've tried this place a few times now for both pedicures and shellac manicures and I'm done giving them my business. Although the pedicures were decent, the shellac manicures were so bad that I won't go back and would highly recommend that you go elsewhere too. I walked in at 6:30pm on a Wednesday evening and there were no customers getting manicures. I figured I'd get good service since it was a slow evening. It started with the lady saying "what color you want?" without even giving me the shellac samples to choose from. Then she sat me down and just started filing off the shellac that was on my nails already. Meanwhile, two other customers have come in for shellac manicures and sit on either side of me. The lady doing my manicure proceeds to do ALL THREE OF US at the same time!! She was so hurried that she cut the cuticles on two of my fingers to the point that they were bleeding. When I showed her that they were bleeding, she was annoyed with me and proceeded to roughly wipe off the blood and dig her nail into the cut to get the dried blood off. In hindsight, I should have left right then. She proceeded to sloppily apply the shellac polish to my nails. After two coats, she tells me that she doesn't like the color I chose and proceeded to put a third coat of a different color on my nails before I could say anything. What the hell? Their low-watt UV lamps are so crappy that the polish wouldn't set (despite having my hands under the lights for 10+ minutes) and again she was annoyed with me when she smudged it. She also smeared the shellac polish over the side of my pinky finger and then tried to scrape it off with her nail. The final shellac looks so sloppy. She didn't paint the tips of my nails so the bare nail is visible and the shellac will probably not last very long. There was no lotion and no massage and it took over 1.5 hours because she was trying to do three manicures at once. Yes, the shellac manicure was $20 but it wasn't even worth that cheap price. I'm going to stick with Amy's Nails in Kirkland. They do a fantastic job and definitely are worth the extra $10. Don't waste your time and money at Lovely Nails. read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever gotten. I could not believe how RUDE these people were. Ive been going here for years and I've usually had good experiences. The main reasons I come here is for cheap acrylic fills and good pedicures. Lately, they have decided not to put full effort into my acrylics and now they are all different sizes, lengths, and the shapes differ from each other. I used to love going for their pedicures. You get an exfoliating scrub, massage with rocks, and lotion massaged in. Now I come here every two weeks, and I've always had a good connection with the people doing my nails and they always seemed nice. This time when I went for a pedicure the lady went straight to painting my nails and between coats massaged my legs with rocks that weren't even warm. My best friend was getting the full thing next to me and the lady doing my nails just disappeared. I asked my friends nail lady if I was going to get the rest of my pedicure and she said "DO IT YOURSELF" are you kidding me?? She pointed to the scrub and the lotion and said to do it myself. I just said it's fine and sat back. After a few minutes she got up and took a huge amount of lotion in her hands, wiped it on the front of my legs, and said rub it in. I could not believe it. At this point I got up and went to the front and said I wasn't going to pay for the full price since I didn't get what I asked for and that I would just pay for the color change. The women who did my nails grabbed my card out of my hand and charged me full price. I could not believe it. I went and talked to the lady that owned the place and explained what happened and she said "that's too bad. Come in another time." Needless to say that was the absolute worst customer service I had ever had and I will NEVER go their again. Only reason Im sharing this is because of the rudeness and the fact my card was grabbed out of my hand and scanned after I kindly tried to explain why I wasn't happy with what I got. I hadn't been into Lovely Nails for several years before about two weeks ago when I went in for a full set. I was very impressed with the job that was done, and how well the nails held up over two weeks. Yesterday, I went in for a fill and had a completely opposite experience that made me never want to go back. First off, the women doing my nails would aggressively grab my arms and pull on them quite hard anytime she needed one of my hands. Then, while filing my nails with the electric file, she continuously used excessive force with the file, and cut the sides of my fingers in several places. Getting my nails done is usually a relaxing experience, and I found this to be an awful one! To top it all off, when I went to pay with my card, she tried to trick me into adding an extra five dollars to my bill, even though I told her that I had cash for the tip. And, when she had me sign the receipt, I found out that she had in fact charged me an extra five dollars. Since I had already grabbed and handed over the money I had planned to leave for a tip, (even though the service was awful, I felt bad not leaving one at all), she held on to that along with the extra charge. Overall, it was a very dissatisfying experience, and I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more
