I found Hair by Julianne Cho and was booked with Sumi, and I'm so glad I trusted her! Sumi was incredibly sweet, patient, and attentive throughout the entire appointment. She actually recommended a softer, wavier perm, but I kept insisting I wanted it curlier (lol). She listened to exactly what I wanted while still giving me honest professional advice, which I really appreciated. She also recommended getting a haircut beforehand, and I'm SO glad I listened. I have really thick hair with a lot of density, and she spent about 40 minutes cutting it. She didn't rush at all and was so meticulous. She removed just enough weight while keeping my length, added beautiful long layers, and gave my hair so much more movement and dimension. The perm came out exactly how I was hoping! My hair feels so much lighter, the curls are beautiful, and I'm honestly obsessed with the result. I drove about an hour from the Valley, and it was 100% worth it. Parking was easy, the salon was clean and adorable, and they even had snacks and drinks for clients. Overall such a great experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to make the drive again. Jennifer agreed to accommodate me and even stayed after hours to work on me. She assessed my hair and decided what to do (we ended up removing 50% of the extensions -- the previous salon had added too much hair so she could charge me for more hair, which was one of the reasons I ended up looking like I was wearing a wig). Jennifer cut the width of the extensions and replaced them at the most natural position for my head shape, and blended everything together seamlessly. Jennifer, you are amazing!!! Thank you so much. I ended up booking for Wednesday afternoon, parked nearby the coffee shop. Wasn't a busy day. Arlene is such a hair expert! I told her I prefer short hair for the volume and she showed me some ideas. We decided that a short bob would be best to fix my mess! She did a fantastic job fixing up the uneven pieces, making sure to fix the bangs so it would grow out nicely. She also showed me how to style it at home, since short hair is high maintenance. I'm super happy with how it turned out, and I'll definitely be back when it's time to trim. I met Yuki, who owns and operates this salon and also one of the best stylists I've had in my years of barbers. She is so nice and explained the process of the donation and also provided guidance on selecting the best hair cut for me. After looking at a few photos, I decided to go with a moderate cut to ease back into the general population. I was so happy with the results and would recommend Yuki to any of my friends. She will only take appointments and is the busiest during the weekend. I would recommend calling well in advance for your appointment, as she works generally towards the end of the week through the weekend.

Yuki should have warned me that my hair was too fine for this process instead of taking my money to ruin my hair. If she is so experienced and so great she should have known better and know that the process she was doing would ruin my hair. This is my warning to others that are going here to have straightening done. Don't rely on her to tell you it's not right for your hair. To top it off when I called to tell her she did not apologize, she did not act as though she felt bad her response was not caring at all. Not to mention she didn't offer any advice or a refund. Now it will take me years to get my hair healthy and I'm so upset.

I said I had another appt after but that would be fine. I arrived and sat down and waited. They said I was checked in. I waited one hour before going to the front desk to say that now, I would not have time to do the appt because, as I told them, I would have to leave for another appt. I had allotted 2 hours and now there was only 1 hour left and I had not even been seen or sent for hair washing. All the while I waited, I could see Sal doing at least 2 other people's hair. When I asked the front desk if I could reschedule, they said they would talk to him. Several minutes passed. Sal was aware that I was there, but chose not to speak to me himself. He chose not to even take two minutes to face me and apologize. He was going to Mexico the next night, and could only offer the next day during hours I had to work. The salon manager apologized for Sal and offered another hair dresser. I have curly hair and want someone experienced in curly hair- especially when the haircut is right before my wedding and will cost hundreds of dollars. I think the worst part was that Sal was right there but simply didn't have the courtesy to apologize. I will never return to this salon. As for my wedding in two weeks, I have asked my makeup artist to help me find someone.

I specifically said I was willing to pay the extra because I did not want yellow or orange roots. Not only did my roots remain yellow after processing and toner, but since the appointment I now have noticeable breakage on the bottom of my hair that was not present beforehand. My hair appear fragile and uneven, and my hair feels significantly thinner since this appointment. I can't even run my fingers through it .......it feels extremely dry, rough, and damaged. During styling, I also received a burn on my ear from her curling iron. When I raised concerns about the color result. It was dismissed rather than addressed. She told me it was impossible to get my roots bright blonde with regrowth this long....... after already charging me extra for the double process and assuring me it could be done. This service was performed by Jaime, the owner. I am now left with breakage in the back, damaged hair, and yellow roots.

Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

Unexpected Charges and Lack of Transparency…read more I booked my appointment in person on Tuesday 7/15 because I wasn't sure what to select online for Gel-X removal. I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I came back for a refill, and two days later was in some of the most pain I've ever been in due to a cuticle infection. I voiced concerns that my skin was being cut, but they were shrugged off. After coming into the salon to show them the infection, the front desk staff was polite and helpful advising they would reach out to the owner and share photos they took of the nail. Days passed and I followed up again via phone as I didn't hear back. The owner of the salon requested PHI pertaining to the infection, including what Rx I was on, in order to even consider a refund. Initially, a gift card for the amount spent on the service was offered in lieu of a refund. I mentioned I was not comfortable receiving another service, and received a call back letting me know the owner was willing to grant a refund. Overall, the back and forth took about a week and a half. I was new to the entire gelx process, and am posting this review to let anyone else looking to embark on that journey know they should ask questions and voice their concerns. There are seemingly many happy patrons, but this was my individual experience.

I had such a wonderful experience at Love Lash! I called in last minute for a lash removal to see if they were available, and they took me in right away for an appointment. Eileen took such amazing care of me. She was incredibly gentle, precise, and truly took her time--something I haven't experienced with other lash techs at other salons in the past. In the past, I've had other lash techs at other salons rush through the removal process, even pulling at my natural lashes without much care, which left my eyes feeling irritated and damaged. Other lash techs at other salons would take extremely long, but Eileen at Love Lash was so quick with her work even though she worked with so much care. Eileen, on the other hand, did the complete opposite. She was so thoughtful and meticulous, making sure everything was done safely and comfortably. I could really feel how much care she puts into her work while working quickly, and I'm beyond impressed. On top of that, she was so professional and sweet, which made the entire experience even better. Jenna is my lash tech and she is simply the best -- always on time, always professional, and she never misses. I get the hybrid lash set and she makes them look so natural, never overdone. The salon itself is consistently clean with a calm, zen atmosphere that makes every visit feel like a treat. What really keeps me coming back is how accommodating the team is. They work with my schedule, are always willing to fit me in last minute, and are super responsive. That level of customer care is hard to find! I've been to a LOT of places for lashes, including Korea. In LA this is the best place I've been to hands down. I'm pretty specific about how I want my lashes and she gives me exactly what I ask for. The only thing I wish that I haven't seen in LA is the coating for lashes that they use in Korea. She REALLY works hard and is extremely sweet so tip her well! I do recommend making your appt early as possible if you're coming in on the weekend as the parking situation in that plaza is challenging. If ur appt starts at noon (latest) you should be good. Otherwise, throw out your elbows bc it's about to be a tussle for a spot! read more

Love Sara! She's amazing at what she does! I would recommend her to anyone looking to get lash extensions. She has been doing my lashes for the last two years and she never disappoints. She does a beautiful job each and every time. I love my lashes and get compliments on them all the time. You can text her for an appointment and she's very good about fitting you in when you're available. She will send you a text to remind you of the appointment the day before. I LOVE LOVE LOVE getting my lashes done by Sarah. I had my lashes done by six other people and no one does a better job than Sarah. My lashes always come out looking natural and stay on for at least one month. She's always booked weeks in advance so you know she's good. read more

Sadly, I chose this place based on the reviews. I asked her to do classic deluxe which I never heard of but I get classic lashes . The burning throughout the entire procedure caused such pain and my eyes to tear through the entire time. That has never happened in my 5 years of lashes. The pain was unbearable but I pushed through. She later explained to me she places extensions under the lashes rather than on top as most lash people. And she shared that people who visit her complain of irritation. She never said that at beginning My lashes looked horrible, they looked plastic and very stiff. They felt uncomfortable for at least 3 days. I noticed when I went home there were clumps of many extensions attached to 1 lash and so messy with so much glue that I was never able to comb them as I do daily. Many of my lashes were folded and glued onto other clumps . The worst experience in my life. I went back to my original lady and told me there were definitely NOT classic and damaged a few of my lashes . Please do your research. I don't know how they have such good reviews. Looked like my 10 year old did my extensions
