I've received my share of lash lift and extension services in Korea and Cali, and Cathy is THE best. She uses gentle products to cleanse, prep, and do lash-lifts ("perms"). It's very clear that she cares about her craft and her clients' lash-health. I have never seen this much of a lift before, so I am beyond pleased with the results (see photos). My friend who recommended me has the most beautiful, natural looking extensions that don't damage her lashes, so I'm excited to try extensions by Cathy next time! Clean, warm, and friendly vibes, too!
I am visiting family in LA and needed to find a new lash tech for my eyelash extensions. I was on about week 3 and needed a refill. I can't live without my lashes Because it's hard to know what lashes another shop will use, I scheduled a removal and new set with Cathy. Honestly it was the most relaxing eyelash extension session I have ever had. You barely feel a thing and can peacefully take a nap. If you are visiting and need your lashes done, this is your girl. If you live here and need eyelash extensions, book an appointment with Cathy and you won't be disappointed.
The Short Review: Best lash retention EVER Super Lightweight results Easy Parking NO PAIN (because sometimes the glue stings my eyes w/ other artists) Takes Venmo/Cash!! Now here is my actual detailed review... I have been looking for a lash artist in LA that also specializes in Asian, specifically Korean lashes for the longest time and I couldn't be happier that I stumbled upon Cathy's Instagram page. I just got my lashes done with Cathy for the second time, and both times my lashes came out super gorgeous. The first time I went, I put my lashes through literal hell because it was my birthday weekend. I did the unspeakable... put on eye makeup, went swimming, wet my face, etc., and with proper care and cleansing, my lashes still looked good 4 weeks in, and even a month+ in, I still had a good amount of lashes left. I usually get hybrid lashes, and I find Cathy's services and price to be so worth it every time. Cathy is such a cool person who is passionate about her work and more importantly, she knows how to listen and understand what you want done. I am usually super jittery (even without caffeine) (side note: thanks for being SO patient with me Cathy!) and uncomfortable while getting my lashes done, but Cathy was super accommodating and does her best to make you feel comfortable. The best part is that my eyes did not sting or hurt after getting my lashes done with Cathy, as they tend to get with other artists. I do suggest having an ample amount of time as it can take anywhere between 1.5-3 hours depending on the style you get and with a hybrid lash, mine took approximately 2 hours! But I could tell she is super detail-oriented and a perfectionist Thank you Cathy for always making me feel like a princess because of my lashes!
I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon Summerlash_LA This was my second time ever getting eyelash extensions and Cathy truly outdid herself. She is so incredibly patient and detailed with her consultation -- on text and in person; she made sure to explain the different types of curls and lengths and recommended me various options to choose from that would help address my concerns of filling in a slight bare spot on my right eye. During the extension process, Cathy was so incredibly gentle and meticulous. She truly exceeded my expectations (look at that before and after!) and I'm so excited to go back to her for refills in the near future! Listen when I tell you that Cathy is a lash magician. I went from negative lashes to the best lashes I've ever had! Room: The room was so neat and clean, had beautiful lighting, and created a sense of calm but was cute at the same time. Cathy was making sure everything was in place and cleaned all the way up til the time of my appointment so you would be comfortable knowing that the area you'll be staying in for the next hour or so is properly sanitized for your safety. 10/10 Service: Cathy's service was absolutely exceptional. The moment you walked through the door you are warmly greeted and she goes above and beyond to make your visit comfortable. She takes her time to discuss lash styles and does a lash assessment so that your extensions are catered to you. She made sure that all your questions were answered before starting so I became much more relaxed knowing I could fully trust her skills. 100/10 Skill: I have had lash extensions before however, the location I went to was blown out of the water compared to Cathy. She is super gentle with her cleaning and placement that you can barely feel what is going on! Her lash placement focuses on accentuating your natural eye shape and retention while accounting for the style of lashes that you request. Compared to the previous location I went to, my natural lashes were singled out beautifully and none of the extensions had too much glue or stuck to my eyelid. When you first open your eyes, she takes the time to look over your lashes and will go in and perfect your lashes by added more if needed. Even days after the initial lash placement none of the lashes poke your eye nor do they itch or cause discomfort. They truly feel like my natural lashes. /10 Retention: Although I don't have a picture of my current lash state that will do the retention justice, I can ensure that the retention is amazing!! The lashes have gone through pool water, tears, makeup removers, facial cleansers, sweat, and eye rubs and didn't really start to even fall out until after 1 - 1 1/2 weeks. I still had at least 50% of my lashes by the time it hit 2 1/2 weeks since the lash placement. It has been a month since I've gotten them done and there are still a few lashes on my eyes, however, they could have lasted longer if I didn't rub my eyes as often due to allergies. 10/10 I would 100% recommend getting your lashes done by Cathy if you wanted something that would last, garner a ton of compliments, and will enhance your everyday look!!

She was EXTREMELY nice and accommodating so I wish I didn't have to give less than 5 stars but I need to be honest. I am an ethnic woman with curly lashes and I should've known by her reviews and pictures that she is very familiar with practicing on Asian eyes (I hope that doesn't come off as insensitive). She did warn on her page that it can take anywhere from 1.5-3 hours and mine took roughly 2. It's been about 4.5 days and half of the lashes on one eye are gone. I really wish they lasted longer because I'm really looking for a lash artist.

So, I have the world's shortest and straightest eyelashes. I usually (if at all) do lash extensions (at the salon or at home with lashify or other lash cluster systems), or just fake eyelashes before an event. My actual lashes were falling apart due to the stress of the adhesives and let's be real, I just want to be lazy and "wake up like that" without having to try so hard to get out the door. My eyebrows were micro bladed two years ago and were fading and losing shape. Then, my good friend got a lash lift and eyebrow tint and lamination from somewhere near her place and I was like whattttt. I must do it too. I came on Yelp ofc to search for a place closer to me and saw SummerLash. The almost all five star reviews threw me off a bit so I had to dig through the reviews and go on her IG and make my own assessment. I decided to go for it since the before and after photos were pretty clear. I messaged Cathy through DM, scheduled my appointment online and paid a $30 deposit. Once it was time for my appointment I realized I had an online class at the same time! I wanted to reschedule but she was fully booked and she was going to go on vacay. I asked if it was okay if I tuned into my class during the process through my airpods and she said it would be fine. I just needed to close my eyes. On the day of, I found street parking across the street for 2 hours which was enough time for a keratin lash lift + brow tint. I found the office and we sat down to talk. Cathy took photos of my eyes to show me that since I have monolids that droop down into my eyes and pretty short/straight lashes, my results are not going to be as dramatic as some people. She showed me some examples of other people's eyes that were similar to mine just so I'd manage my expectations. I didn't expect long lashes from this treatment. Otherwise I would have gone for the extensions, which she also does. I just wanted to rest my lashes and have them be curlier than the usual straight down lashes I have so I was okay with it. I appreciated that she showed me all those photos so that I could temper my expectations. I was plugged into my class via airpods and closed my eyes so Cathy could work her magic. Almost immediately I fell asleep. I definitely do not remember much from my online class but I woke up to cute lashes! Yes, they're not too noticeable since my lashes are very short and my lids are very thick but it's just the subtle change I needed. My eyebrows also looked more cleaned up since my microbladed eyebrows were fading in a very splotchy way. After the treatment Cathy texted me some links to eyelash serums I should get in order to take care of my lashes as well as some promos to come back. Overall, I'm really happy with my experience. When I feel my lashes need some lengthening, I'll def go back for some extensions. In the meantime I'm really enjoying waking up and feeling ready to go! read more

Cathy is amazing! She was very patient and kind. I have short and thin lashes and she was able to lift them beautifully! Her studio is clean and welcoming and she has a very calming presence. She does a Korean style lash lift and it looks very natural. I will definitely be back again. read more

I've only ever gotten a lash lift once before a few years ago and it was horrendous. I really thought it was so bad because my stubborn Asian lashes were too hopeless to lift. But y'all. Getting my lashes done by Cathy is a game changer. I got a keratin lash lift w/ a lash tint and now I can never go back to a curler and mascara. Just look at the photos -- excuse my derpy expression and just focus on the lashes lol. First is right after my session (with lash serum on) and the second is the morning after (no lash serum). The session took a little under an hour and it was so peaceful I even drifted off into a nap halfway through. She gave me after care instructions via text as well so I can properly take care of my lashes. Cathy's amazing -- honestly as good as if not better than any of those bougie lash places in Beverly Hills. She's for sure gonna be my go-to lash tech from now on. read more

Came to get my lashes done by Cathy recently before our family vacation and i have to say I LOoOOve my eyelashes! The studio was clean and cute and also Free Parking~ I arrive for my appointment and she asked me how i wanted them done as I had booked the Hybrid and told her i want them full but natural. I have been to other eyelash places & the experience was very discomforting on my eyes the whole time they would work on my lashes BUT Cathy was so gentle & honestly at certain times i thought we were done by how gentle she was and i couldnt feel them being done. Past experience at other places when my lashes were done by EYES were SUPER RED the lashes were discomforting and the they would just say oh it happens all the time itll get better and i would just not return. With Cathy my eyes were not RED and I loved how full they were but natural at the same time. Came home and later that night my husband said "Out of all the places you have done your lashes before this ones the best! so when do you need to get them done again?" You know your eyelashes are GOOD when your husband likes them as well lol Will be back for a refill once we are back from our vacation! You can get 10% off for 1st Time Customer as well. It's been a while since I got extensions, and I'm so happy I found Cathy! She is soo gentle during application and I didn't experience any discomfort during or after. It's been over 3 weeks now and I still have a good amount of lashes intact. Hi! I got a lash lift and tint with Cathy! It was my first time getting this service done, ever. I'm more of a natural lash look type of girl. My daily routine is: use eyelash curler, concealer & lipgloss, unless I'm going out...so this service was perfect! I don't have to curl my lashes, love it! I use the dual serum that she has, one side clear, one side tinted...I use the black tint side for darker lashes and clear otherwise. I haven't tried using mascara yet, just genuinely enjoying them as is. Also, Cathy is soo nice! She texted me immediately after booking with parking info. Her office is clean and friendly! I fell asleep during service, it was so comfy there. If you into the natural lash look, I totally recommend this service with Cathy! read more

I found out this place on Instagram last summer, and it has been my go to lash place ever since! Cathy is super skilled and she's the most detailed oriented lash artist I've ever met! ( trust me I tried at least 8 different lash artist in LA and she's the best). Normally I just show her the pictures of the styles I want and she would accommodate that with my eye shapes. I tried different styles from classic, doll eye hybrid to wispy hybrid set, and she surprise me every time The studio located on 6th in the middle of Ktown and is pretty easy to find. The studio is small in size but really cozy, with calming music that Cathy plays and comfy bed and blanket ( I fall asleep almost every time) 10/10 I would recommend this place. If you are an Asian girl like me looking for a lash artist for Asian eyes, stop searching cuz she's the one! read more

I did eyelash lift last time. Cathy was very nice and friendly so I visited again for my eyelash extensions. I told her this was my first experience and she recommended a hybrid extension. I'm very satisfied And the location is the center of Ktown and parking is free!!!!!!!! read more
