I always drove to this location even when there were closer ones near my house because she's always been so easy to talk to, kind, and makes each service so quick and painless! I'm not super good with pain but she does the sugaring so quick and ensures it is flawless which makes me very content every time I visit. This is a long over due review. After having terrible customer service experience at another salon (see my other review) I started looking for another wax salon and I found Sugared and Bronzed. I first went to their Beverly Hills salon and LOVED it. Now that I'm closer to the Silver Lake location I come here regularly. Parking is a little bit challenging here on the weekends. The ladies working here are the best they are very warm, friendly, approachable I feel very welcomed every time I visit. They are also super flexible if I'm running behind schedule and not trying to charge me a late fee, ever. The technique they use is superb I love the sugaring style and it leaves my skin very soft and smooth and makes it easier for maintenance. The place is gorgeous, clean and it always smells good. But what sold me here is the customer service. You cannot ever have a bad day coming in or leaving this salon. read more

After previously having a poor tan experience here, I received a complementary tan and came back and was personally tanned by the manager. Let me tell you how different my experience was! Not only is my tan so pretty and natural looking. She really went the extra mile for me in every regard. This business is very lucky to have a manager like this. I've been a loyal client of Sugared + Bronzed for years and have been getting spray tans for over a decade, so I know what a good tan should look like. This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst I've ever had. My hands and feet were sprayed significantly darker than the rest of my body -- to the point where they turned bright orange and look completely unnatural. It's honestly shocking that this was considered acceptable to send a client out the door with. I called to let them know I was unhappy, and instead of acknowledging the issue, I was told it "looked good." They offered to respray my body -- which completely misses the point -- and offered no real solution for the areas that were actually botched. It's now been days of aggressively trying to scrub this off, and it still looks terrible. For a brand that positions itself as a go-to for spray tanning, the lack of quality control and even more so the lack of accountability is incredibly disappointing. After years of loyalty, this experience completely changed my perception. I won't be returning. read more

I had been going to S+B on and off for nearly two years. Recently, I needed to freeze my membership while out of town, and they initially froze it with no issue. Then, at the beginning of this month, I saw that they tried to charge my card again. When I contacted them, I was told they would only keep my membership frozen if I paid an invoice for an additional month that I never agreed to purchase. They are now saying they won't freeze my account until I pay it. A membership freeze should not come with surprise charges or pressure to pay for an extra month after the fact. I'll have to forfeit unused membership credits totaling $360 because of bad business practices. I tried to resolve this privately, but wasn't able to get a fair resolution. I'm happy to update this review if they make it right, but for now, I would not recommend trusting this business with your card information or recurring payments. read more

I've been getting my sugaring here ever since it opened at this location and I love this place! The services are so straightforward, and the products are truly high quality. The sugar they use is excellent, and the aftercare products are just as great. Even with my very sensitive skin, I've never had any irritation. The staff are also incredibly kind, fun to chat with, and make the whole experience so enjoyable. The location is spotless, smells amazing, and creates the perfect relaxing atmosphere. I also really appreciate that any unused services can roll over to the next month. As a busy mom, it's hard to keep a consistent schedule for sugaring, so having that flexibility is a lifesaver. There's no pressure, and I love that I can use multiple credits in one visit if I want--quick, easy, and done! read more

Silverlake is my favorite location. It's close to home, there's parking and the estheticians I've come across have been nice and warm. I really like their sugar bc it doesn't give me a rash like traditional wax does. I recommend this for anyone who is poly-sensitive or who tends to get ingrown and redness with regular wax. Overall, the service was good. Jessica was friendly and did a great job, and I appreciated her professionalism. However, when I checked in, I ended up waiting about 10-15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before being called, even though I had arrived 10 minutes early. I completely understand that arriving early doesn't guarantee being seen right away, but what stood out to me was that there were several (around five) staff members at the front during that time. I wasn't sure why none of them called me in once my appointment time had passed. It might just be part of their internal queue system or staff assignments, but as a first-time visitor to this location, the wait while seeing multiple available staff made me feel a bit unwelcome or overlooked. Perhaps I'm overthinking it, but in my past experiences at the Pasadena location, I was usually taken in as soon as someone became available, even if that meant a short wait after my scheduled time. I have been to this location several times and the experience has been great every time! The parking is a little rough- only like 3 spots on the side of the building and depending on the time you go- traffic can be crazy. Luckily I have gotten a parking spot every time though!
