I've been a loyal client of Sugared + Bronzed for years and have been getting spray tans for over a decade, so I know what a good tan should look like. This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst I've ever had. My hands and feet were sprayed significantly darker than the rest of my body -- to the point where they turned bright orange and look completely unnatural. It's honestly shocking that this was considered acceptable to send a client out the door with. I called to let them know I was unhappy, and instead of acknowledging the issue, I was told it "looked good." They offered to respray my body -- which completely misses the point -- and offered no real solution for the areas that were actually botched. It's now been days of aggressively trying to scrub this off, and it still looks terrible. For a brand that positions itself as a go-to for spray tanning, the lack of quality control and even more so the lack of accountability is incredibly disappointing. After years of loyalty, this experience completely changed my perception. I won't be returning. read more

Silverlake is my favorite location. It's close to home, there's parking and the estheticians I've come across have been nice and warm. I really like their sugar bc it doesn't give me a rash like traditional wax does. I recommend this for anyone who is poly-sensitive or who tends to get ingrown and redness with regular wax. I've been getting my sugaring here ever since it opened at this location and I love this place! The services are so straightforward, and the products are truly high quality. The sugar they use is excellent, and the aftercare products are just as great. Even with my very sensitive skin, I've never had any irritation. The staff are also incredibly kind, fun to chat with, and make the whole experience so enjoyable. The location is spotless, smells amazing, and creates the perfect relaxing atmosphere. I also really appreciate that any unused services can roll over to the next month. As a busy mom, it's hard to keep a consistent schedule for sugaring, so having that flexibility is a lifesaver. Overall, the service was good. Jessica was friendly and did a great job, and I appreciated her professionalism. However, when I checked in, I ended up waiting about 10-15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before being called, even though I had arrived 10 minutes early. I completely understand that arriving early doesn't guarantee being seen right away, but what stood out to me was that there were several (around five) staff members at the front during that time. I wasn't sure why none of them called me in once my appointment time had passed. It might just be part of their internal queue system or staff assignments, but as a first-time visitor to this location, the wait while seeing multiple available staff made me feel a bit unwelcome or overlooked. Perhaps I'm overthinking it, but in my past experiences at the Pasadena location, I was usually taken in as soon as someone became available, even if that meant a short wait after my scheduled time. I have been to this location several times and the experience has been great every time! The parking is a little rough- only like 3 spots on the side of the building and depending on the time you go- traffic can be crazy. Luckily I have gotten a parking spot every time though! Every tan I've received has been a good one and the ladies are so nice here. I will continue to come back and you should too! read more

This was my first time coming to this new location, and it didn't disappoint. I came in for the FlexiExpress tan, and love my even results. The staff is friendly and efficient. I will definitely return to this location especially since it is conveniently located near the 101 freeway. The only downside is the hassle with street parking since it is a busy location on Sunset, and there are only about 3 designated parking spots for their business. The elixirs (level of crisp) for the Flexi tan range from 1-4, and the staff can assist in deciding what look you want to achieve. It helps when they have a spray tan too so that you can see how it appears. Getting that sun kissed tan: You're lead into a suite where you decide on what elixir you want, after that you're given privicy to don on a disposal g-string thong of universal size, which can be a bit large in the crack. I'd suggest making sure it's in your crack for an even tan, also string placement. Tie hair up if long, wear an optional hair cap. Put barrier cream on palms, knees, elbows, and back of heels. Then step into the spraying room and voila they'll guide you on how to pose during the spraying session. Remember to wear flip flops, dark loose clothing to your appointment, and bring a beach towel for your car seat just in case there is color transfer. Sugar + Bronzed values customer feedback, and I admire that which keeps me coming back to their many locations. read more
