I guarantee this is an extremely unique experience for them, and they were absolutely not smart enough, not caring enough to be accommodating and inclusive. I even told the spray tan girl who was some younger 20s blonde girl from Florida who was dumb as rocks because I told her that I'm a pre-op trans woman, and she looked at me before and goes slay girl! Then proceeded to treat me like a man. This company did absolutely nothing but give me the runaround when I complained about it. They said they would talk to the company and see if they can change the verbiage on the website and in the training so that they know what a trans person is and a month later nothing has changed on their website and I doubt anything has happened behind the scenes except them seeing me as a crazy person when I'm simply just trying to get spray tan like every other woman and had a mortifying experience that no trans person should ever have to go through. It is only fair that the same level of accountability be upheld on both sides. Customers are expected to respect the policy, and in return, the business should demonstrate the same consideration and reliability. Not be compensated with a $5 discount. When if I had canceled the appointment would have been charged $30. Experiencing this issue more than once concerns me about their consistency and professionalism. I hope improvements are made to better manage scheduling or compensation.
