Not only is this location inexpensive, but the staff was also very friendly. There is a good assortment of meats available. Our waitress, Leslie, provided us with great customer service. We were surprised to learn that the all-you-can-eat menu featured ice cream. When we were offered whipped cream and chocolate syrup, we were even more shocked. Our total only came out to $57 for two. Oh man! This place is terrible. I mean, you get what you pay for right? Came here one day with my son. He was craving Korean bbq. And what the boy wants, he gets (food wise, haha). Anyway, because of covid of course we had to wait for staff to clean and disinfect tables which was no problem. Tables looked properly spaced out to accommodate physical distancing. There was also plenty of parking. Service: Was ok. I did get annoyed when our server kept calling me "hon". My son even questioned why the server kept calling me "hon". Food: The ban chan that they offer was offered buffet style. Where you walk up to this buffet like area. The ban chan was terrible. The flavors were not there at all. Cucumber salad was terrible. The kimchi was terrible. I couldn't believe it. I know restaurants cater to the population that they serve but c'mon!! The AV needs to know what real korean food/bbq is. AND this place is not it. We didn't expect such a great meal because as of today they only had 3 Yelp stars. But, we are really glad to have given this place a try. The food quality is pretty much the same as every other shabu shabu place. But, we did an excellent job making it taste great!! I visited during the dinner rush. All of the extras from the salad bar were still great since the first time I visited about 6 years ago. Even the fried pot stickers have gotten better over time. The meats cooked were the always great beef belly and brisket. The Smoked Garlic Pork Belly tasted like burnt hot dog. I couldn't stomach these. I about lost my appetite. The seasoned beef was fairly good 4 out of 5. It's not punchy, and it tastes like a simple soy sauce marinade. The lying staff told me it would be a 20 minute wait and said to wait in my car, I came in after 40 minutes and they told me that they had called and would be closing soon so they couldn't seat me. They did not call me, I contacted my provider to ensure that I hadn't received a phone call. I used to love coming here, but the customer service is awful now. I asked for a bulgogi plate as we just started were hungry. Then we only finish half the plate as meat was very dry on that plate. They charged extra $20 for half plate meat that we coulnt finish. Despite the reviews I decided to give this place a try because of how many mixed reviews there were. It was not worth the $75 for two people. The grill needed to be changed after every meat that we grilled which was because nobody oiled the grills like they should be. The fact that the gyoza and tempura was under a heat lamp in batches says a lot about the restaurant because all the tempura was cold. The gyoza has pork in it and that was cold. I know many people forget that COVID is still a thing, but people should not be the ones to serve themselves ice cream. It doesn't get sanitized frequently, the water that the ice cream scoops were in was white which is weird. My clothes smelled like burnt meat which was not the business. Our latest excursion west took us through Lancaster/Palmdale. As a last hurrah for my aunt and uncle, who is in his 80s and had never been to Cali, this was an opportunity to swing by a parcel of land we own in the area and then head to the coast for some beach hopping. Because of my wife's schedule, we needed to hole up for the night, so I did my advanced research and picked Staybridge (see following review). Since it was approaching 8PM, we opted for Chinese (go figure), but when we pulled up, we saw Korean BBQ across the lot. Since my uncle hadn't had the experience, we chose I Love BBQ. Las Vegas spoils us in some regard. For Chicago cuisine, Vegas blows chunks (sorry, listening to First Wave on Sirius/XM for four hours does it to you). But for Korean, Vegas tries hard - to our benefit - to out do one another. This especially goes for Korean BBQ. Its why I only give this place 2 stars. First, it's self-serve. Sure the restaurant brings you the meats, but the typical side dishes and ice cream are on a salad bar. It's also where you get your utensils and napkins. It's California, so straws* are provided upon request. Request them - I didn't try to look at the glasses too hard for fear of what I'd find. Second, the 'side' items were meh. The kim chi failed to kick. Allow me to say that again - kim chi was bland. It's kim chi folks, it's supposed to hit your palette like a punch line to a joke following a drum roll. Never mind the jap chae and the seaweed salad. The rest followed suit in quality. Third, there's a $10 charge if you don't finish your meats. Now, when you order like we did for a party of 5, you only get 3 meats per table, not per customer. Granted, the portions reflect the size of the party - somewhat - but it restricts your table in the sampling of options that is the appeal of a Korean BBQ. Fourth, the furniture and ambiance were slapstick and rundown. I've been to back alley diners that served great food with the same type of rundown furniture, but this was beyond itself in poor taste and quality - not great ambiance. Our table - refer to picture - had a crack running down the middle of it like Chuck Norris at there the night before, got pissed, and karate chopped the table in half then the next day, the owners glued it back together. Fifth. Cost. There are varying price points based on your selection of meats. The basic starts at $14.99 all the way up to the entire BBQ selection of meats and AYCE sushi, which will land you at $33. We can't speak to the sushi, but if its anything like the BBQ - I'll gladly pass gas instead. Here's my point - with the limitation of 3 meats per table at any given time, you simply can't justify the cost per person. For someone who doesn't know better, like it was for my aunt and uncle - they'd love it. But to a seasoned palette, you'll be very disappointed. They have two additional locations - one in Baker and another in Victorville. I won't go again. Next time, I'll opt for the original plan and stick to the Chinese. *straws/California/environmentally conscious extremism - this is my 2 cents. I'm all for being environmentally conscious. Sure, we need to recycle and continue to fight the good fight for the betterment of our world. As a Navy sailor for the better part of my youth, I've been to some nice places and some not-so-nice places. These not-so-nice places comprise 80% of the world's population. They are living by the seat of their pants if they can afford pants. Its a meager way of life. It's also where our obsessiveness with environmentalism becomes a 'first world' problem. Places like China, India, Philippines, and even Greece need to focus on getting through the day putting food on the table or surviving the day than worry about fucking straws. There are so many other areas that you can focus on and you worry about straws. Anyway, be grateful you can eat to your hearts content here in the US and not scraping by on garbage heaps and stop worrying about straws. Take a trip to the Ganges and see what India throws in their rivers, or pull a sea and anchor detail in Athens and you'll see what I mean. read more

Sadly, it's gone downhill immensely. It used to be amazing, with $18 per person for the all-you-can-eat meat platters that came with the salad bar and a list of sushi to choose from all wrapped up in one. now it's $30 per person, and all you get is the meat and salad bar, and even then there's not much there. Unless you want to fill yourself on various bbq grilled meat, it's just not worth it. The restaurant itself is also starting to just feel a bit more grimy, and you can tell they aren't cleaning as well as they used to. read more

This was such a nice place to get KBBQ, could the table areas and underneath the tables be cleaner? Yes... everything feels kind of oily, maybe the vents need a service and the floor a really good scrubbing. But the food was really good, I wish they had a banchan bar AYCE option without having to order meat dishes. I crave their miso soup and japchea all the time! The robot delivering the meat to the tables is so cool, and the service was amazing we never had to call anyone over or wait long amounts of time. Kind of missed the KPOP you find at a lot of places, some music would be nice while eating. But we loved the experience and they're so friendly and attentive here, the meat was good too, bulgogi was flavorful, can't wait to go back. The waitress was friendly and the service was prompt. The selection of meats and sides for the BBQ was extensive for the price. We ordered the $19.99 AYCE BBQ which included a nice selection of meats, 2 sushi rolls, and steamed egg. The deal also included a salad bar, which had soup, salad, kimchee, and other sides. The garlic pork belly and spicy chicken were amazing. Also, they changed the grill several times during our dinner. Overall: great place for Korean BBQ in Palmdale. read more

YEARS AGO this used to be a decent place to eat and bring company. NOW this place has fallen apart both interior and in management. I am writing to let others know if you plan on bringing your first date here, DON'T. The prices and how the pricing is applied to your order seem to change almost monthly. The rules to be seated and served are non-sense. If you're planning on coming here to dine-in on a lunch break solo, they will turn you away (for example). If you come here with a friend or spouse, which describes my visit, the wait for a table can be over an hour long. IF you are willing to wait, and you are waiting in line to take advantage of the lunch special, even if you arrived well before 3pm (their cut-off for lunch), if you are seated at 3:01pm, you will obligatorily be charged for the dinner which is more expensive. So this is where my experience comes in. When I placed my groups name down on the list, it was well before 3pm. Before I agreed to the wait, I asked and I asked twice two separate servers "If I am seated after 3pm, even though I arrived here at 2pm, will I still get the lunch special." Both times I was affirmatively told "yes." So, time for me to be seated comes. I am seated and then told after waiting the hour, that I will be charged for dinner by another person. I explain that I was told otherwise twice by two people. Doesn't matter, they won't honor their word, even though it was THEIR MISTAKE, they don't offer a discount or any apology. This incident pretty much set the mood for the rest of our evening, and ruined my experience here, and my day. If this sounds like something you want to go through, then eat here. Otherwise, I would recommend driving a bit further for some ACTUALLY DECENT Korean BBQ! read more

We stopped here for lunch. We were greeted at the door, asked if we had been there before, which we hadn't. She told us it was $25.99 per person, pointed to an area where they had served yourself soup, rice and condiments. She then pointed to the list of meats and asked us what we wanted so we picked the first 3 on the menu, knowing nothing about them and no explanation. We went to check the soup area. Miso soup was hot in a pot, there were 2 hot trays with covers 1 had tempura and dumplings, the other rice noodles (neither were hot), mostly tasteless. My husband got some soup and had a couple of sips before he put it aside. Got back to jury table and there was an automated server at our table with the three meats. 2 of the meats were thinly sliced, rolled and frozen. The third, was a pile of meat (we think it was the brisket) but we are not sure. We never received instructions or explanation on how to cook these at our table. The frozen meats were tasteless, tough, and some were definitely not fresh, as they defrosted on the tray some pieces were green. The pile of meat was edible and slightly more tender. We tried the marinaded chicken last and decided we had had enough. There was a small freezer with about 5 ice cream flavors for us to serve ourselves. So my final thoughts, definitely will not return. For a lunch out the final bill was $70+ including tip for the 2 of us. Don't think I'll get my husband to take me out to lunch again for a while. This place gets 4 stars from me because I really enjoy their cold bar (all the kim chi I can handle!!) and that California rolls are included in one of the bbq menu options. Beautiful service, there were many servers checking up on us the whole time. Pleasant dining, had everything we needed. Hit up the salad bar for all your kimchi, seaweed sides. For all you can eat dinner, you're allowed three orders at your table at a time, prob to ensure you don't over order. $10 additional if you have leftovers. The beef brisket, pork jowl, pork belly, and beef bulgogi were great. Seasoned beef on the chewy side. Loved the basic sushi rolls that come w all you can eat dinner... you can order any other rolls to be charged. The servers were super nice, especially when we brought kids w us. I walk in, tell the waitress table for 2, she tells me wait in my car until she gives a call. 40 minutes goes by, no call, we walk in since they close in 20 minutes thinking what the hell, then they said they called... there's no call history what's so ever. Then they proceed to tell us we could sit down, but only have 14 minutes to eat... we caught them in the lie too because "the line was busy" when they supposedly called us. No iPhone says that...
