    Hot ham stacker
    Denise D.

Well.... This one makes me a little sad. I had very high hopes for another dining option. We entered and sat down, and there were 4 other tables with guests in various stages of dining. Our waitress took our drink orders & brought them back, but then it took almost 30 min to take our orders. Then another 15-30 to be served. It was on a Wednesday around 1:00, so not exactly rush hour. The waitress was very young, and covering all the tables. She was definitely overwhelmed, but was very sweet. I think the kitchen may have been short handed too. I ordered a chicken fried steak sandwich that was supposed to be on Texas Toast. It was more like skinny sourdough. It was oily, tough, and generally not great. My friend ordered the hot ham & cheese stacker. It came without tomatoes, and had zero appeal on the plate. It looked like grocery store ham with a partially melted piece of American cheese on top. My other friend had the grilled shrimp tacos & was happy with those. I'm not sure if we hit it on an off day or what, but I was disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute place, but the food needs some work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Located at the corner of the plaza next to Brookshire Brothers.

Food was so so, pricing was a little high for the quality of food. Wait staff was ok. The place did have a nice cozy feeling about it

I came here to eat and couldn't find it. Is it inside of the legion center?

It's at the end of the "L" shaped shopping center next to Brookshire Bros grocery on the west side of IH35 and south of downtown Jarrell, not far from the American Legion. It has LAFB on the window.

Their business cards advertises "Personal Chef & Catering Service," so apparently you can hire them to come to your home and cook for special events as well. Their food was superb. They served generous boneless chicken breasts, juicy pork loin, green beans, baked red potatoes, and a most delightful coleslaw. For dessert, you had a choice (or you could have both) of a slice of white cake with lemon buttercream frosting, or rich, warm, bread pudding topped with a warm Whiskey sauce. In short, it was really great food served hot and savory. One last thing, they held off on their clean up, until our club meeting was over, a very professional crew. Yes, you can find them on the web, and I do recommend them.

My husband and I initially wanted another well-known BBQ Asian fusion restaurant to cater our…read morewedding and were pretty set on it. But after our guest list grew, we had to move locations and our venue was no longer within their catering vicinity. I searched high and low for different vendors that fit the fusion that we wanted, but couldn't find anything that fit just right (or that didn't break the bank). Then I somehow stumbled across Rebel Catering on Google. They had a wide variety of packages for food varying from Asian, to bbq, to Mexican. They didn't have a ton of reviews, and it seemed like they mostly did corporate events, but I gave them a call. I'll be honest, I was a bit apprehensive of how incredibly chill Rahul is at first (because I was already stressed out), but when I told him about our vision, he immediately checked with his chefs and created an incredible menu for us. My mom and mother in law's primary request was copycats of the other restaurant's corn fritters, and he even delivered on that. I'll attach a picture of the menu, but our minds were blown at the quality and freshness of the food. Buffet style brisket is HARD and he and his team crushed it. I even had friends with allergies and he accommodated them without question. The most popular part of the night though was the shaved ice. Part of Rebel Catering is their shaved ice package with alcoholic shaved ice (TABC bartender included). They had custom flavors to match our Asian fusion theme, and even brought their truck in to serve our guests! They also created a custom flavor named after our cat and created a sign with a cute cartoon of him. They also had tons of other drinks including sodas, jelly drinks, boba drinks, and energy drinks. TLDR: HIRE REBEL CATERING. Your guests will love you forever.

Would not recommend! Showed up late to set food up for our daughter's wedding. When we met with her…read morewe informed her there would be 80-100 people. We were told not to worry, there would be plenty of food, we would not run out. We expressed to her multiple times that there was a severe pork allergy and food needed to be separated and marked. At the wedding, pork products were present all across the table, no separation, everything contaminated. Most of what was on the table was fruit. We specifically requested 'hamburger sliders' which would be something our daughter and grandson could enjoy. The caterers idea of sliders was two small pieces of pretzel with a meatball size bit of hamburger wrapped in bacon. (Where was the NO pork in that??) Anyways, there was not enough food for everyone. Several people only had fruit on their plates. Our wedding planner informed us that she counted only 65 guests had food and the rest only had fruit. Some people had food that some of us never even saw because she didn't prepare enough food to begin with. She charged us $20 a plate per person and some only had fruit. We contacted her to discuss the matter with her and DeNaye was very rude and admittedly stated there was not even one of everything per person. She then stated that we didn't even give her gratuity which she claimed we discussed however it was not discussed at all. I do not recommend doing business with this caterer.
