I had a really disappointing experience here. I came in for a nail fill, and the work was poorly done--there was noticeable overhang underneath the nails that wasn't properly cleaned or shaped. On top of that, the technician had a bad attitude the entire time. What made it worse was hearing her complain about me in Vietnamese, saying I was "torturing" her--unaware that I could understand. That was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. I honestly don't understand how this place has such a high rating. Although last time I had a great experience with Amber, I came back and experienced the most uncomfortable interaction. The first 10 mins, the nail tech had me sit there while she was opening boxes. She then brought boiling hot water mixed with acetone and told me to dip both of my hands in it. I told her that it was hot and she just didn't respond and just smiled. I then showed her my design which was quite complicated and she started speaking to me very condescendingly. I asked for "gradient" which in design terms is a color transitioning to another and she said "you mean ombré" and gave me a rude look. I was very kind the whole time and I may not know correct industry terminology for certain styles but there's a way to speak to customers in a respectful way and inform them if there are misunderstandings. She then became impatient and started clicking her pen incessantly and told me that the price was going to be $135. I would have happily stayed if I felt more comfortable but the whole experience was so off putting that I decided to leave. Definitely not coming back. read more

Paid 75 including tip for a pedicure and still had my callous. Last time I was there I think I left a 20 dollar tip and I called back to ask her to take the callous out. Not a huge one. I've been going to Lotus nails for a little over a year now for my monthly pedicures. Sometimes I bring my daughter and they do a great job with mani pedis for the little ones. They know not to clip cuticles. They trim nails and file their nails, and they always give her slices of fresh lemon in her foot soak. Their polish selection is extensive and I've seen some of the really beautiful work they do with gel manicures. One day, I'll indulge in one. All of the salon staff are friendly and they always offer water when you settle into your seat. Their products smell nice and they do a great job with the leg massages during your pedicure. I like that they have the option to pay with Venmo and that you can accumulate rewards by signing in via square. The vibe is pretty in pink! It's a cute spot. The worst! Can't believe some of the good reviews here. Whether it was the service, or the quality of work or getting a bang for your buck...everything was below par. I have frequented quite a few nail salons and this was easily the worst experience of my life. I understand that if you go to a cheap salon, you can't expect good service or quality but this is an expensive salon with shitty service. Go check it out for yourself and decide OR save yourself a visit by taking my word for it and save your money and a headache. There are way better salons in the area! Update: they called me right after I posted this review and offered to either fix my nails or offer me a refund. I let them know that I'll update my review to reflect this most recent phone conversation of ours and I appreciate the resolution. But after the refund, they have been messaging and calling me several times requesting me to delete my review instead of just updating it. I mean what???!!!! I already told them on the call before the resolution itself that I'll be updating the review and I'll stick to my word (which is what I am doing here). I think I now understand why there are so many 'good' reviews only posted here. I am sorry I don't like to do this to any business, but I am just being fair and honest. I'll probably request folks to give them a chance if they feel like it based on other reviews as maybe my experience was bad.. probably a case of one bad apple. But for me, it's one and done. Although I must mention that the lady who did my pedicure was fine..again nothing exceptional but nothing to complain about either. Based on all this, I'll update my review to three stars instead of one. Oh I forgot to mention that they said that they'll have to cancel my refund if I refuse to delete the review!! Huh?? My friend and I decided to get a pedicure and tried this place since it got such good reviews. While waiting they had us sit and started to add the water, which was nice. Bur she didn't check the temp and it got extremely hot to where we couldn't keep our feet in. When we got her attention she turned it down and then didn't come back. So we both sat in cool water waiting. She seems too busy to even bother checking the temp. Then while we waited another lady came and gave us a box of different scents of what looked like lotion, bath balm and pumice. We just thought it was part of what they did when you had a pedicure there. But once they were ready to start on us I told her I just wanted the basic pedicure and all of a sudden you could feel the change in her attitude. Friendliness changed immediately. Seems annoyed really. She nipped me 4 times as she cut my cuticles and then totally cut me inside down the nail of my big toe. I pulled away a few times and said not to cut down and that it hurts as she chuckled and would talk in her language to the other ladies. A day later it is throbbing and very painful. May have to have it looked at for I can't even put on my shoe. She was very rough as she pumiced my feet where it was almost unbearable. Then she said ok 5 minute massage. It was barely a massage at that. She rubbed the lotion on massaged for maybe a minute and then ran water over my legs as she used her hands to like wash off the lotion as she watched the clock. Worse massage I have ever gotten with a pedicure. Not enjoyable or relaxing at all!! Ended up having to go back later that day since the polish she used was old and goopy. 2 of my toenails were ruined because it was applied too thick. And as we took a closer look it looked like a child had painted my toes. For the polish wasn't even to the cuticle and was also on side of some of my toes. When I went back to have it fixed all 3 ladies started to giggle and it was very obvious that they were talking about me. When she redid my nails she did it in such a rush that made the entire time uncomfortable as she again talked to the other 2 ladies and started to laugh while polishing my nails. I never got her name, but she's the younger of the 3 ladies there. The lady my girlfriend had did an excellent job for her. She gave her a very nice massage and the pedicure was very nicely done. We won't be going back after this experience. My friend and I couldn't believe how the one younger ladies attitude changed. Very noticeable and unprofessional. read more

Lotus took me in as a walk in on a Thursday morning. My regular place could not take me at the last minute. The moment I walked into Lotus I was already on vacation! I happened to be flying to Paris that same night and the whole nail spa was filled with beautiful pink and white photos of Paris The women that did my feet and gel nails were superb! I'm so happy I recently found a place that charges reasonable prices, is clean, smells good, looks cute inside, and has nice pedicure chairs. They seem to specialize in nail health. It showed during my appointments due to their safety procedures and quality of work. I do laundry near by and decided to treat myself to a couple of walk-ins on a whim. I'm hesitant at new places to get a full set or even a gel manicure. So to get an estimate in their quality of service I usually request a simple clean maintenance manicure with no hand/arm massage or color. I can see myself going back here for nail maintenance. My nails' cuticles are not the healthiest. I have been struggling with self-caused nail bed trauma. I'm hopeful that if I keep coming back my nails will reach a healthier state. Next time, I want to treat myself to a simple manicure maintenance service but with a gel clear top coat. Their simple pedicure is 10/10!!! I would highly recommend this place for a pedicure or basic toe nail health maintenance. I loved my nail polish set (not gel just simple nail polish) they are very hygienic. They offer facials and waxing (when their licensed professional is in because she works at multiple studios) she is amazing! I will make many future appointments. I can see myself inquiring about a mini cleansing facial before an eyebrow maintenance. She did apply aloe post wax. It was so relaxing! I wish I would have ask her to apply my spf to my face where I didn't get waxed for an extended mini massage. I plan to keep bringing my own head band to use during eyebrow/facials and a sun hat to walk to my car This place is such a treat! I will be honest about attempting to do all these things on my own. It is not the same as visiting trained professionals that pamper you and help you feel relaxed. The whole staff has always been kind and accommodating to my schedule.
