I hate to leave a bad review but I am so over these type of places. I requested a simple manicure $20. I got no polish and the service took 7-10mins. Upon leaving a $5 tip which is more than 20%. Just got my nails done 6/18/22. Great pedicure, however, they are extremely over priced and they hustle you for extra money. My REGULAR nail fill was supposed to be $25 based on their prices they had advertised on their menu (see pic).. The woman charged me an additional $5 because my nails were "long"(this is a lie because I asked for short nails when I initially got them done at another salon)... see pic, they are pretty SHORT! I ended up paying $120 total for a basic mani & pedi (no gel or design) for my daughter + basic fill & basic pedicure for myself. Please note, they kept pressuring my 12 YEAR OLD CHILD (mind you, I'm paying) and myself to get GEL which is waaayyy more expensive (see pic of their prices)... Please also note, one of the customers told me they are under new management so that's why the quality of their service plummeted. I also witnessed with my own two eyes, the woman employee put her pedicure supplies back in the storage container WITHOUT SANITIZING IT AFTER A CUSTOMER'S PEDICURE!!! I had a manicure with regular nail polish and a little over 24 hours later one nail had half the polish peel from it . This morning the same thing happened to another nail. My expectation was that it would last 5-6 days as it does when I do my own nails. Won't be returning as in addition to poor quality the reception is less than welcoming when you arrive. I've been going back to Lotus Nails faithfully since the end of 2022. I get my fills and gel pedicure and NEVER have a problem. There can sometimes be a wait, if I didn't book an appointment, but because I trust them I do not mind at all. I see Linh mainly for my nails and she doesn't disappoint!! Jason does an awesome job as well! Rose is the pedicure queen! And others there have done a good job as well! I'm fairly new to the dipped nails experience but out of the few places I've gone so far, the owner of Lotus Nail (the woman who sits in first seat) is very skilled. She is extremely fast and can appear distracted - answering the phone, taking other appts, doing eye brows in between, and halfway through, I was worried about how my nails will turn out. But I have to say at the end of it all, my nails looked great! Lots of compliments, probably the best I've seen so far. Even with all the distractions, she got me in/out of the salon in 45 mins. I was in the area and seen this salon open on a Sunday so that was a plus! I went in looking to get a pedicure and this was my first time here. While I was in the chair I pulled up the reviews and this salon had 2 stars with a bunch of bad reviews. I instantly had regrets that I stepped foot in the place but surprisingly the service was amazing. My nail tech was Tracy and she was excellent. I ended up asking for a gel mani as well. Between the 8-10 min massage I got on my legs and feet to the way she catered to my feet (especially my heels ) was amazing. I paid 85 for a gel mani and pedi and I don't think that's too bad. Very,Very,Very disappointing!! I went in last week to just have a basic gel manicure and pedicure, I thought! All she did was remove polish and reapply, I can do that at home. They stated online that it included cut, file and do a little cuticle clean up NOT! It also stated $63 but I was charged $78. I tried to explain to the technician that my thumb nail was cracked and to not remove the gel build up but she did not speak any English and did not understand me, there was no one else to call because they were busy so she just removed everything and repainted. That's it!! Not cutting filing or anything!!! Called the next day to have the thumb nail fixed and they had the nerve to charge me $5 for their mistake and this was after I explained to them the whole problem!! I was visiting family in MA and really needed a manicure... (Story of my life) so I had been to Lotus a few years before and I remember the gel mani being pretty good. My memory served me very wrong this time! The staff is friendly and they were very accommodating. They try to get you in as soon as possible if there is a wait. WAIT.... This isn't a restaurant and rushed service on your hands and feet is the absolute worst. They offer so many colors for gel manis which I appreciate. I picked a beautiful navy blue hue and proceeded to have my nails done. Once they were done they looked absolutely beautiful! I left a generous tip and went on my way... So why the two star review? My beautiful navy blue GEL mani chipped the next day! And I don't mean one nail chipped in the corner... THE ENTIRE BED OF COLOR CAME OFF! For someone who gets gel manis only this is absolutely unacceptable. They either use cheap product or water down their polish. There is no way it should be chipping the next day! If I could give this company 0/5 stars I would. I went in for an acrylic overlay and left before they even had a chance to paint-which in my opinion, would have made it even worse. I asked for a square tip with round corners and the woman made my fingertips rounder than a penny! I asked her, to please fix it (rather politely considering) and she started talking about me in her language to her coworkers. After this. she attempted to fix it, but the shape only became more round, especially the middle finger. When I complained she told me that it was bc my natural nail was too short! Umm-what does that have to do with anything? Filing nails should be a basic skill in this trade, regardless of length. She then (probably bc she was sick of me inspecting) swapped places with a co-worker who sat down and immediately said "you pay now". This through me all the more! Not only did they suck at service but their customer service was even more distasteful and quite tacky. The acrylic was stuck to my skin, the nails were poorly shaped. I told them I was not going to pay full price for such shabby service and the woman stood up and started yelling at me. I still kept my composure, paid partial price and left. This place had not impressive plastic hanging from the ceiling for protection.What really upset me is the lady who always sits at the front desk. She was eating right there and I watched her. My friend showed up 5 minutes later but the other workers were busy playing bingo and had to finish their game before sitting her. (It was only myself and one other person getting a nails done). New in town .. Almost 30 years old, so I have been getting my nails done for a long time. Never in my life have 5 nails popped off in 4 days of getting a full french set before. I say 5 popped off but all 10 are ready to just pop off painlessly. And you ladies know it hurts to just pop off one fake nail never mind a full set. Not to mention becuase i didnt get "GEL" the owner was rude and said it will chip in an hour. Ladies she made sure with in one hour of my being a mother that my french tips where already fading. This salon is under new ownership and they raised the prices dramatically. I spent $60 for a regular manicure and pedicure. A regular manicure used to be $14.00. It has increased by $6.00 and is now $20.00 (plus $5.00 to have gel removed). I told the technician I thought that was a steep price increase especially with so many nail salons in the area. When I asked her the prices I'd some other services, she got annoyed easily and told me to read the prices on the wall. I miss Nancy and the former ownership. The new management leaves a lot to be desired. I won't be returning since the salon changed with the new owners. Also, if you had a gift certificate use it now as they won't be honoring them soon. read more

I went to get a pedi and gel manicure and I was one of the last customers for the night. So, as the lady was finishing my manicure they started cleaning up and I saw one of the ladies take the yellow paper foot sandals and the foot sponge you receive after your pedicure wipe them off with a damp towel and put them back in the drawer near the pedicure station. I can't believe I am taking the time to write a review! I am so over this place - I normally go every 3 weeks to get a pedicure (stopped getting my nails done because they always change the price at the last minute AND it was too expensive)...but NO MORE! I am tired of getting yelled at every time I go, I make appointments just to be bumped out because someone walked in before I got there. Then today, I make an appointment and Moon says "Did you make an appointment" I said yes and she said she has another person before me and it would be a while before she would be able to take me! And so now I decided no more abuse from her and her fellow workers - I see how they "kiss butts" of certain people but to people of color, they talk in such a demeaning way and then they talk to each other in their language and will look at the person as if they are a piece of crap. I've watched them use the same foot scraper and files on different feet without sanitizing, I've watched them take the extra $2 from certain people when they use their debit card or charge card, etc. They think they can treat minorities in such a horrible way I'm done with this type of treatment. As nail salons always go, I walk in and tell the woman I want a full set and she tells me to pick a color and sit down- not a word about how long it would take but I didn't care because I felt fortunate to be getting my nails done on a Sunday. I waited about 30 min and then she called me over and started my full set.. I have never seen someone do my nails so fast. Not only did she cut me on several fingers but the quality of her work was disgraceful.. Even after I told her TWICE that she was going too fast and hurting me because of it. I have been getting full sets for 9 years and I have NEVER been so unhappy.. The last time I was here I had the old woman and she cut me so bad I was bleeding for hours, and then continued to file the hell out of my bleeding sore finger and then expect me to pay full price!!?? It's been the same every single time I come here and I will never go back no matter how bad I need my nails done. I do not remember her name but she sat at the very front station, and she seemed to be managing everything (talking to customers when they walk In, etc) BE WARNED. 2.5 stars--I came here with a bridal party to have manis and pedis done on a Friday afternoon. The employees are very polite and efficient, and they gave us plenty of time to decide what colors we wanted. I didn't opt for the special pedi because I heard that there isn't really much a difference between the two. The salon was very busy while we were there, and there was a lot of wait time in-between some of the girls' manis/pedis. Between the five of us, we left the salon within 2 hours; however I do think that my mani was rushed through towards the end (as it got busier). I'm not usually in the Stoughton area, but I'm sure this is a convenient place for nearby shoppers. I've experienced better manis/pedis, but I did like the selection for both gel and regular colors. read more

I love this place and will only come here if I'm in the South Shore. Mani/ pedi combo is $33 and includes a leg and foot massage!!! They use hot stones during the massage with an essential oil and you leave feeling as if you've had a full body massage! Skip the spa pedicure, it's not much different than the base pedi. Would give 5 stars if they accepted tips in all forms but instead they ask you to buy something and get cash back at the Dollar Tree store next door. .. whaaat?!? (Raises eyebrow). If I could give 0 stars I would! Let me start off by first saying I've always gone there for pedicures and have really liked them. Decided before going on vacation to treat myself and get acrylics put on. I saw the lady (I think her name is "Nancy" and possibly is the owner or manager) who sits in chair #1. I went in on Friday the 17th. Got my pedicure by another lady (who did a wonderful job!) and then the lady at station #1 did my acrylics. They came out horrible! They were so thick and wide it looked like I had toes for fingers! After I was all set she decides there's a piece that needs to be filed. And she doesn't just use one thick file....she for some reason uses THREE!!! She cut me so badly that she needed to use special stuff to ebb the bleeding. Although I was very unhappy and unsatisfied I was pressed for time and figured I'd just deal with them looking terrible. After sleeping on it I decided that it needed to be fixed, I paid good money and deserved better than what was given to me. I went back and explained how dissatisfied I was and she said to wait for her and she'd take care of it. (she was with a client) After waiting over an hour, it's finally my turn and she begins to use the drill to strip the gel color on the acrylics. When she got to my hand that she cut the previous day I told her "please be very careful as you cut me really good yesterday". She said she would but then as she's on my pinky that had the cut she looks up to greet customers as they walked in the door and the drill goes straight across the tip of my pinky and I start bleeding everywhere! I was so angry with her that I yelled at her and said I would NEVER EVER return there!!!! I took the polish (as I had wanted to match it to my toes) and walked out as is. Nails half off, bleeding everywhere. Went to 3 other salons to see if I could get them fixed since by this time it was noon on a Saturday and everyone was at their busiest and I was about to leave for vacation. I'm all for greeting customers as they walk into a place of business (I'm in customer service as well) but removing a tool that can hurt someone before doing so would have eliminated this issue. She completely rushes thru each customer to get the next one. For her it seems to be quantity and not quality. If she took her time and wasn't so concern with the "next" customer and concentrated on the one in front of her she may do a better job. Lotus has just lost this good customer because she does a terrible job on nails and has no sense of customer service. I hope that she reads this review and works on her issues. Horrible ! I went in at 5:30pm to get a pedicure in a Sunday evening. The girl was rushing and cut my skin. Then, I had my feet drying and the owner literally turned off the fan and said "you can leave" . All because they were rushing to close shop !! Horrible service ! I don't know what all the negative reviews were about! I had a wonderful relaxing spa pedicure. My feet & legs were scrubbed, lotioned, oiled and massaged. The tech was very polite and very good,at her job. I felt pampered and relaxed. My toes look wonderful!! Next was my gel manicure. Again great service! Nails were trimmed, cleaned, and polished. Finished off with a quick lotion hand massage. It felt wonderful! The Patriots Game was on the large flat screen TV which was an unexpected bonus! This is a very busy salon!! The Young lady who did my feet did an amazing job and well deserved my tip. I started going her about a year ago, they were decent, could take me immediately and although their customer service wasn't great, they did a good job with a gel manicure. Over the last year I have consistently gone there, and their service has consistently declined. I wish i could rate them Zero or less. The breakdown: NO PRICE LIST: There was originally a price list, as there should be. Now there is none posted when you ask to see one there is squabbling and explaining but no price list produced. I have been charged $25, $35, $30 and then $35 again at varying times, no soak off, no french, no consistency. When I ask why they explain a lit of things but not the answer. WAXING: I have had my eyebrows done 3 times by the same woman, the first she cleaned them up, didn't overwax they looked good. The second they were too thin but manageable and i just asked for the same thing, keep the shape and clean up the stray hair, they were pencil thin and horrible. MANI/PEDI: I have never seen them sterilize the foot baths in between customers, disgusting, they ask if you want spa, you say no, they do it anyways and then charge you. The manicures have become sloppy, i occasionally get a regular manicure instead of gel and they try to talk me into the gel and when i decline they do a sloppy job and its rushed. Very disappointing and a let down. A friend recommended Aroma in Easton, they are cleaner and so far do an amazing job. Save your time and money and don't go. I see Nancy (the owner) for my nails & brows - she does an AMAZING job - and she is fast ! I get a ton of compliments on my nails ! The tech doing my nails was the woman in seat one. She was rough and rushing. My thumb had a an exposed cuticle (my fault, not hers) and she made no effort to be gentle and hold my finger around the cut. She was pressing on it so hard. I asked for a round shape and the shape she did was so ugly and uneven. I asked her to at least even them out and she kept making it worse, and then told me that she was not the problem.
