This is my local BEC/bagel joint. I will not have a breakfast from anywhere else if i'm around the area. They have a great staff that i've known for months and you have to know how the system works. You walk in and order to the left by the glass and you pay at the counter to the right after. They move quick and are always reasonable with price. They are more of a take-out spot but there is a few seating options I would recommend no more than 2 people. P.S they have a pretty good bakery as well! read more

It was a busy Sunday morning when I walked in. Although busy, the line moved fast and I was helped right away. I was greeted and asked what would i like. The bagels are a dozen for $15 and get 2 free. I also got 1lb of regular cream cheese, 1/2 lb of scallion cream cheese, and 1/2 lb of butter. Once i got home, i immediately had a bagel. WOW the bagels were so warm, so delicious, soft and tasty. I loved it & so did my family. Definitely coming back! read more

Disappointing. Went at 9 am, no pumpernickel bagels. Ordered a poppyseed bagel with cream cheese. Hardly any cream cheese on it ( like buying one from Dunkin Donuts), then discovered the bagel is OLD. You can hardly bite into the bagel. Crunchy, not on the outside, but inside!!! read more

9am on a Saturday, lots of customers, lots of people working the counter. I was in and out very fast. The bagels are among the better ones in the area, good crust on exterior, nice and soft/chewy on the inside with great flavor. And they have the best looking rainbow bagels inside and out, which isn't a big deal for me, but it sure helps when trying to feed a 3 year old. They have a lot more on the menu, so I will have to return and branch out some. But at least the main attraction for a bagel place is quality. read more

Came here just one time and the bagels were just fine. Nothing our of the ordinary but certainly not bad. I got a pumpernickel bagel with veggie cream cheese for about $3. Pretty standard. Here's some other details: They have tables setup for you to eat inside. They also make specialty sandwiches, which I did not try. Also, they are open Sunday morning, which you can't say about every place. So come get bagels here. Or don't. The choice is yours! read more

Bagels are just okay. Generally they are either hard like a rock or not baked enough for my taste. The only redeeming factor is the everything twist. This for some reason always is done right. Appetizing is ok, not the freshest but reasonably priced. On a Sunday morning bagel run, I will usually go with Bellmore Bagel Cafe however it tends to get really crowded in there so this is my fall back. There's a reason for the lack of crowds. A good bagel should be done well on the outside and fluffy/light on the inside. Maybe its just my taste. read more

Lotsa Bagels more like Lotsa Trouble. Decent bagels but horrible service. Was a total sht show. I ordered two bagels and a coffee and it took 10-15 minutes. Everyone around me had their orders messed up and redone. Meanwhile my two bagels sat on the counter and they only have one person working register who was busy dealing with all the order problems. Seriously the service was so bad it was comical, I started looking around for hidden cameras as it seemed like a prank show! Not my usual bagel shop and I will not be back. I just read some of the negative comments down below and I totally disagree with those people. The food here is absolutely amazing and the bagels are always made fresh. The best time to get the bagels are in the morning as every bagel store. It seems like it's a family owned business, so their very hard workers. I even saw their own children coming into work helping their parents. Customer service is great here and the cashier is very quick and welcoming. I've become a regular here because of the kind smiles I get when I walk in. They have a variety of chips like seaweed chips which is the new thing now at work. Also the place is always kept clean. We recently moved to the area and was out food shopping. Breakfast? Sure! So after leaving the supermarket we too Jerusalem and came upon Lotsa bagels. Hubby got a sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel and I got a toasted egg bagel with butter. We also asked for a rainbow bagel with cream cheese. All were fresh and delicious. A smidge pricey (almost $9) but since we don't do it every day I didn't mind. Will definitely be going back next time we are over that way. read more

Had to give it one star because of yelp. This place is terrible bagels same as a bodega bagel. I went there last week and they had one bin with bagels at 6 am I asked if they were fresh and lady looked at me as if I had two heads. As. Bagel expert I could tell they were day old bagels left over and were reheated. How do ya stay in business ruined my breakfast for that morning so pissed on my hour ride into Brooklyn. One of the worst bagel stores in Bellmore/Merrick. The bagels are so dry, sometimes even hard. No one goes here anymore, since the bagels at Bellmore Bagel Cafe up the street are so much better. The staff are very mixed. Some are very friendly, others extremely cold and unwelcoming. This place used to be such a great bagel spot, but they often don't have fresh bagels anymore when you walk in at noon or 1 PM. Not sure what happened with ownership, but this place used to be awesome. It has significantly gone downhill since changing hands and management. read more
