Catering from Bagel Chalet. Wow, what a spread. We had breakfast catered for 30 team members. We requested 6 am and they were there on time at 6am. We requested hot and cold food and beverages, everything was cooked perfectly and our delivery guy helped set up all the dishes. They provided all the sternos and silverware! Napkins and plates. All we had to do was enjoy the food. They even sliced the bagels and the cream cheese was delicious. So happy with Bagel Chalet. read more

This place has such a great ambiance when you walk in and the food is on point! They have a huge variety of selections to choose from whether it be breakfast lunch or even a snack! Early this morning I received a message from a representative of this establishment calling me cheap because of my bad review. When I responded, they claimed to know me and threatened to contaminate my next order. Lucky for me, that review was in reference to my one and only visit to Bagel Chalet a year ago, so I have no need to worry about retaliation. I do want to make sure other people know that this is the kind of place that would put "extra sauce" in your order if they felt so inclined. read more

Disgusting disgusting disgusting. I used to come to this bagel store all the time before i moved never had a problem. yesterday I went and they charged $60 for four bagels. I thought it was ridiculous, but I didn't say anything. I went back this morning and they overcharged me and charged me for things that I didn't even get. I confronted the lady and she was ridiculously nasty and had a horrible attitude. she ended up voiding the transaction but still wanted to make me pay again, making me pay over $40 for only two bagels. I asked for the manager, and he was also disrespectful and unaccommodating. usually in the service industry or in the food industry, people know how to treat customers and deal with customer service, but this place is honestly disgusting and I will never be returning. They don't have manners and they don't know how to talk to people. The Asian lady even tried to snatch the bag of food back. I was appalled with her behavior. I don't even know how she has a job with manners like that gross. I will never be going back so many better bagel stores in the area. oh also when I got home, they even got my order wrong. Horrible . Such yummy bagels! I got the whole wheat everything flat with eggs, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Tomatoes were thick and juicy and flavorful. The bagel had nice chew to it, it held nicely together, it was very satisfying. Options on the menu are a bit overwhelming but a solid bagel place. read more

Ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese as a quick dinner. The bagel was literally frozen. It was not even edible. It must've been kept in the refrigerator or freezer. They should not offer bagels or stay open for dinner time if they're not going to serve fresh food it was also extremely small probably because it was so cold and unfresh for $6.50. read more

The bagels are huge and pretty good. I got the maple turkey with Brie on a whole grain bagel with almond maple butter spread. It was okay. Good and very filling. I also picked up a too good to go order from here. They gave over a dozen bagels and cranberry chicken salad on the side. For the too good to go orders the entrance is in the back. read more

Bagels are fine and the place is clean but I am not sure why they are charging 20%-25% more for their food. A little self awareness goes a long way in life and the owner must have none. There are 3 other bagel stores within 2 miles on Merrick Road that all have a long history in Merrick and Bellmore that are as good if not better charging a lot less. If you want to distinguish yourself in this area, maybe you should just be fair. Ironically, a few people that I have spoken to don't speak about the bagels, they speak about the ridiculous prices. RIP OFF ALERT!! read more

All I have to say is WOW.... My go to has always been bagel boss but after a few disappointing orders from there I decided to give bagel chalet a go and I am so glad i did. Ordered off uber eats they got my whole order correct had a great BOGO on salads, then i got lox on a bagel & I have never had lox this fresh and delicious. Idk how to describe it but there's this specific taste that only top tier nova smoked lox has & the second i bit into this bagel I was BEYOND in shock how good it was. I will 1000% be back ... I used to live in merrick and years ago like 2013-14 i wasn't a fan so didn't order from here in ages but again WOW.... best lox i've ever had 1000/10!! read more

Top notch. My Merrick friend tells me it's the best in town. I can't argue with that. In addition to a delicious breakfast bagel, they have iced decaf coffee! What a nice treat! We asked about outdoor seating and they quickly set up a table for us. I'll be back. read more

Not good. Drive 1/4 west and go to Bagel Plaza. Bagels were not done inside, black and whites inside wrappers (frosting sticking to the top). Without a word one of our 8 year olds said they weren't good. Go to Bagel Plaza or Town Bagel, not this joint read more

I've never written a review, bad or good, on yelp before but today bagel chalet has pushed me to this point. I've been living in the area for ab a year now and have been going to bagel chalet for my breakfast needs(purely out of necessity at this point). It's the only place in the area that's not kosher and my hangovers require bacon. Never once have I gotten bagel chalet and it not been "meh". Meh food I can deal with, what has driven me to this review is the fact that my order is never right and this is by far the most expensive bagel store I've ever had. The absolute gal of this establishment to charge $5 for a mediocre buttered bagel is incredible. If you have literally any other option for breakfast I recommend that. read more

My go to breakfast spot every single morning. The bagels are fantastic, my favorite is the multi grain raisin. I've had it with BLT, Turkey Lettuce Tomato, cream cheese... I've tried it a 100 ways lol. The French toast bagel is awesome, the yogurt parfait is also incredible... both strawberry & vanilla. The coffee is delicious, I love the crumb cake coffee. The service is solid, very efficient, fast and friendly staff. Beautiful seating area, very clean, nice vibe. read more

This bagel shop is WAY TOO OVERHYPED. Like WAY TOO MUCH. I've heard so many good things about this place, the first time I decided to try it I went at like 6am which is a normal time to go to a bagel shop, these bagels were the driest and most blandest bagels I had ever eaten. And people love their bagels. Idk if it was just a bad day but all I remember was drinking so much fluids because of how dry these bagels were. Eugh. read more

Never in my 23 years as a New Yorker did I think I'd live to see the day I'd be paying over $5 for a bagel with cream cheese. Whoever is making the prices at this place needs a realty check. My advice, go to any of the other bagel places on the same road for the same quality of bagel that are actually competitive with their pricing. read more

MY FAVORITE WEEKEND SPOT!! I always order their egg white omelettes while I work in LI on the weekends and it's amazing! For the amount of toppings (meat and veggie) and being able to choose egg whites for just $10 is a deal you can't beat! I always get ham and turkey with onions, peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, and avocado. (No cheese, bread or potatoes even though it comes with it and gives you many options on the type of bagel and cheeses.) Black pepper and extra hot sauce. I actually look forward to the weekends so I can get my omelette fix! Generous portions and affordable price. Can't beat that! read more

I have to say that you should always check your order before you leave this store. Today I ordered one dozen mini plain bagels and half dozen regular plain bagels. I was charged 24.00 which makes no sense because based upon their menu on the website a mini bagel is 1.00 and regular bagel is 1.50. But wait there's more, when we got home some of my guests couldn't eat because I guess being able to count to twelve is not a job requirement, they only gave me six mini bagels and six regular size bagels. Moral of this story is always double check your check and your order before you leave this store or else you take a chance of paying too much and still having your guests go home hungry. read more

Didn't finish. The croissant was okay but the bacon was undercooked. Overall customer service was acceptable. Pricing was on the high side for what was purchased. Don't mind paying any price if the food warrants it. Unfortunately I cannot recommend based on this experience.

They have a great staff that i've known for months and you have to know how the system works. You walk in and order to the left by the glass and you pay at the counter to the right after. They move quick and are always reasonable with price. They are more of a take-out spot but there is a few seating options I would recommend no more than 2 people. P.S they have a pretty good bakery as well!
