Being new in the area I wanted to support a local business. When fresh, their bagels are delicious, inexpensive and generously sized. But twice I have gotten bagels that were apparently made yesterday. After buying bagels at 7:30 AM, we discovered they were not fresh because they crumbled when cut. When we called to ask when they were made because these were not what we were expecting, the response was surprising: "Nobody else has complained". If we've gotten the correct response, which would be bring them back, and I'll give you new ones. They'd have gotten a loyal customer. read more

My old co-worker he has since left the library for a better prestigious position at SNYPL told me about this app called too good to let go that I've tried twice so far. I'm reviewing bagelville because it was my better experience using the app. The second time I used it the place might have made me sick with bad food but I could have also just gotten a stomach bug from somewhere. I went in at the designated time and showed them my purchase on the app. When you use too good to let go you can't pick your food it is food that the restaurant will be throwing at that day so it's up to them to give you whatever they have left. They decided to give me bagels but they were so nice. I guess they figure some people who use this app have hard times with money or are just trying to save food from getting wasted but they were friendly to me despite my deeply discounted purchase. They gave me over a dozen bagels, they even asked me my preference but I told them whatever they gave me is okay. I ended up sharing some of the bagel wealth with a friend of mine because I currently live with my dad and if I tried to freeze all those bagels my sister who likes to control the house would have had a fit that I have too much in the freezer. Trust me you don't want to be the victim of those fits. Maybe one day when I have a place of my own with my son because saving the 15k I want to save and trying to pay down my debt is going to take forever I can use too good to go and actually freeze and save some of the food. I can tell you this is the spot!!! Very friendly and welcoming and the food is hands down on point. You ask they will finesse. I ordered two eggs roast beef on an onion bagel with onions and muenster cheese with salt pepper ketchup mayo. It was absolutely delicious they dont skimp on the egg or roast beef . So this morning I had a very disturbing experience with bagelville... I placed an order online, and when I called to confirm, the order was for delivery. The woman at the counter told me yes... I waited about 45 minutes and my order still hadn't arrived... When I called the store to confirm they said the order was for pick up which I did not place the order for pick up... I had asked them if they would deliver my order, and they told me no... The owner, then proceeded to tell me that I was not entitled to a refund because he already made the food... Food was never received... I was then told I needed to call the online company to ask for a refund which I did... They then called the store, and he denied me my refund... I then try to call back three different times where he proceeded to hang up on me ....I went into the store after the fact where he proceeded to curse me out and tell me what a garbage customer I am and that I should just take my food and be happy with my food... The food that was sitting there for 45 minutes and now freezing cold... He proceeded to then take me and tell me to leave his store and never come back... Needless to say, I will never walk back in there and neither should anybody else because this man is a terrible disgusting business owner, who has no respect for his clientele or does he do the right thing by his clientele The employees were so floored by his behavior one of them even offered to give me the refund out of his own pocket, which of course I refused... Expect a 40 minute wait if you come to this establishment on the weekends as a walk-in customer. The past few weekends the wait has been ridiculous but today it was excessive. My husband waited 40 min to be serviced this morning at Bagelville, and to top it off, our orders were incorrect, realizing this when he got home. Usually during the week there's not a long wait, but they should invest in more staff on the weekends. The concentrate on phone orders and takeout, while in person customers are just waiting there.
