He listened to our unique installation needs and recommended 2 potential solutions. He even came back a second time to help us firm up our decision. The quote was competitive and included the units complete installation and electrical costs. When they say no hidden fees or charges they mean it. John educated us on potential rebates & tax credits and provided all necessary documentation for us to apply for them. It was also a relief that they took care of the entire permit process. Simpson was also able to fulfill our request for the indoor unit to be painted. White was just not going to work in our antique knotty pine cabin. All we had to do was talk to their painting contractor, pick a color and they did all the rest. The unit arrived perfectly & professionally painted in Acorn and we are thrilled with the look. The installation was flawless. Jeromie & Javi were awesome. Very professional, personable and kept us updated to their progress. It made all the difference to us that they had the mechanical & technical skills of trained union professionals. The unit has been running perfectly as advertised. It will save us time and money rather than relying completely on our wood stove every winter. We also look forward to the cooling aspect of the unit for the rare but sometimes brutal heat of Sonoma County summers. Thank you to everyone at Simpson Sheet Metal!

The second system had a power failure, and they deflected blame to my electrician, who eventually found a loose wire in Simpson's own equipment that caused the problem and cost $500 to diagnose. Today I repeated to John that my review was all true. I submitted the invoice to SCP for a SCP rebate. Simpson was not involved beyond giving me the invoice. John did not apologize for accusing my electrician for Simpson's faulty shutoff box. I was speaking calmly to John, but he hung up on me.

Now THAT is good customer service! - if their work is half as good as their communication and service, you will be happy. These days, it is hard to get a phone call returned, let alone good advice and even drawings, from someone who just wanted to do the right thing and make sure the customer was happy, even knowing they weren't going to get paid.
