I can't believe it's taken me this long to leave a review. Shawn and his crew have been taking care of my vehicles for almost 16 years now. Every vehicle I've owned has been ceramic coated and treated with their glass protection service to keep the windows spotless and crystal clear -- especially during those crazy downpours. Well today, I took my new puppy to the vet for the first time... and she had explosive diarrhea all over the backseat of my brand new F250. I cleaned up as much as I could, but the truck still smelled terrible and the seats were soaked. Definitely not how you want your brand new vehicle smelling. I gave Shawn a call and he got me in the same day. Huge thanks to him -- not only for being such a kind person, but for being willing to take on that disaster with basically no notice. I've been a customer now for well over 4 years. The owner Shawn is knowledgeable, upfront and honest about the care and maintenance needed (as well as the extras I may not need but might want) for all of the vehicles I've had. Recently Shawn Up-sold me on this external glass treatment called glassparency that's said to force water and mud to bead off of your glass to keep your line of sight and vision clear... it even comes with a warranty.... I was honestly skeptical. I'm damn glad I listened. The stuff works like a dream. I drive a lifted 4 door Jeep that I regularly wheel and take mudding, Shawn was right... NOTHING stuck to the glass! Nothing! The mud stuck to the paint and the stickers I had on the Jeep but not to the treated glass. This just reaffirmed that the man was honest and not some snake oil peddling salesman. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! If I could give 0 stars I would. What was promised was not delivered. Our car needed an intense cleaning inside & out. As a result they increased the price to over $800. The car was to be done in 1 day but was not"ready" until 2 1/2 days later. There is no shop, they are renting space in a warehouse. Picking up our car the outside polish was not rubbed in in places with drips of something brown in different spots. They never cleaned the inside of the convertible top, & didn't touch the trunk! They used so much water to clean the carpets the mats were dripping & condensation on the windows lasted for days. No one was there to address these issues on pick up & no response when I reached out to this business. They claim this is luxury cleaning but it's a scam-don't be fooled!! read more

They brought life back to a ten year old truck. Attention to detail is what this shop does best, especially with my leather seats which needed some love. I had the full detail in/out and for the time they spent and how it turned out, the price seemed fair (about $400). DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! THIS IS MY EMAIL TO THE OWNER. NEVER HEARD FROM HIM. PLEASE READ EVEN THOUGH IT IS LONG. WE HAVE TO STOP BRINGING OUR BUSINESS TO THESE ESTABLISHMENTS!! I was at the your shop on Saturday, 4/17. I requested your Stage 3 package. When I arrived a gentlemen came out and assessed my car. He said my paint was contaminated, may be using the wrong word, but basically it needed to be treated to correct the problem. He said an extra hour labor. I live at The Sea Ranch, off highway 1 so I knew the salt air may be affecting the paint. It is one of the reason I wanted my car fully detailed. I dropped the car off at 11:30. I arrived to pick it up at 5. My car was still being worked on. He said another 10-15 minutes. He had the outer windows to do and then the Sealant. As I am walking around my car there is dust on every surface so thick I could drag my finger across any service and see it on my finger. Since the Sealant had not been applied yet, I was wondering how logical is it to put a sealant on a car with dust all over it. Not to mention I just paid extra to have the paint treated. I asked the man in charge of your garage why my car was full of dust. He said, "there is dust everywhere. " I waited the 10-15 minutes watching the outside windows get done, the tires treated, the sealant put on over the dust. I asked your office lady how long my car had been worked on. She said from drop off to when I arrived except for a 1/2 hour lunch break (she could have said an hour lunch break). That is 51/2 - 6 hours of labor. I asked her why my car did not look like the 2 vehicles that were being detailed in the garage, which there was plenty of room to have my car worked on inside.......not getting dust all over it. The windshield on these vehicles alone made my windows look like they had not been cleaned in awhile. She said those vehicles were on a maintenance program. Maintenance?????? This is my first visit and my car looks nothing like those. On Tuesday, I took my car to another detail shop and asked them to evaluate my car for a service recommendation. He made his recommendation. When I told him what had just transpired with your shop, showing him the list of Stage 3 services I paid for along with the extra hours and money to restore the paint. He said I got the equivalent of a $55-$125 service you get at car wash facilities. I PAID $450. I drove home to The Sea Ranch on Wednesday. It was a few hours before dust when the sun is right on your windshield. I could not see anything out of my windows. I had to stop in Jenner to clean my windows before I started up the mountain. I have pictures and the detail shop agreed to document what he found when assessing my car. Before I post about my experience with APE, I would like to hear from the owner of this company. read more

Ape Luxury Auto Spa handles all my car detailing in Santa Rosa. They have done a ceramic coating on my new car and now it always looks so fresh and so clean. The best part about the paint correction and ceramic coat service is the car washes easily. They even educated me about how to properly wash it on my own. Sounds silly but there really is a proper way to wash it in between details if you want to avoid paint swirls and not using dirty sponges or water. read more

Unfortunately I had some previous auto damage that was supposed to be touched up with paint that never was. Upon bringing this to the owner's attention I never received a call back. A family member of mine also had a similar experience when he left two voicemails and several calls which were never returned. Decent work, but it was left unfinished and not returning a call to both customers after spending several grand is very unprofessional. As much as I would love to recommend them to anyone in the future, once the money exchanges hands it seems he wants nothing to do with his customer as this has now happened to me and someone else I know of. Why send out two text reminders to clean my car if when I get there the staff says they don't have time to do it? When making the appointment on the phone, the lady confirmed with the owner that they would look at it and clean it on the day of the appointment. I made sure my car was ready. I got off work early to drive in traffic for a half hour. I show up 10 minutes early and I was told they had not planned on cleaning my car. The staff gave the impression they would not be happy if they had to stay late. They were "closing in an hour and a half". The last thing I wanted was to have angry people staying late to clean my car and not doing a good job. So I told them I was leaving. The staff walked away unconcerned and did not continue calling the owner for direction. Nobody has tried to call me to reschedule or make anything right. I do not recommend APE Detailers for their unhelpful staff and miss-managed appointment system. I imagine this will translate badly into their work, but I did not get a chance to find out. read more

I had just purchased a 2017 brand new VW Golf, which had lots of surface scratches from the day i picked it up from the dealer, also had a body problem that dealer had fixed at a body shop. That shop did a TERRIBLE job on bringing my Golf back to new. Shawn saw my problems on my Golf, he did a paint correction and put on a GTECHNIQ Crystal Serum Ultra ceramic coating on my VW Golf. Shawn is exactly where he needs to be in terms of what he does, but has the personality to go along with his business. He has given me back the confidence to trust someone in the auto industry again. I purchased a Range Rover Sport from a dealership who I gave less than 1 star survey. I had discovered a bird dropping that damaged the paint and 1 day after buying the car they attempted to remove it without any success. I was told to leave it alone and basically just live with it! That is when I searched for a detailer who was experienced with issues like this. Shawn returned my e-mail and phone calls within hours. After bringing my vehicle in not only did he say with confidence that he could fix it, but also discovered another flaw a subtle crack in the quarter panel! I was grateful for his finding and diagnosis, but it was extremely disappointing to buy a vehicle that was 90K with multiple issues. I left my vehicle with him for a week and when I returned he offered to meet me on Christmas day to pick it up! Now if that is not dedication to his business and outstanding customer service I do not know what is. He also offered to go to the dealership to talk with them about the findings and the work he did to correct it. Who on earth does this for a stranger? Shawn does. In the end I received the compensation for the work on the door and another dealership replaced the quarter panel. We used A Perfect Experience Auto Detail services for my commuter car and was treated with the best customer care and service. The initial inspection, appointment setup and quote was done at my work, on my break (by the owner of the company no less). He was timely and no nonsense with what he could do for my vehicles interior and exterior. The price was reasonable and fair for the amount of dirt and grime that needed to be taken care of. They even took the time to bag up personal belonging and owners Manuals in tidy ziplock bags! The car was picked up from my work and returned the same day looking brand new! The owner was pleasant but staff seamed untrained in working with the public. When I picked up my vehicle I had to point out multiple places on the vehicle where it wasn't cleaned well or they left polish on it. And after paying $350 they didn't even dress the plastic or vinyl on the vehicle. The roof racks weren't even cleaned. And after two months the interior still stinks from whatever chemical they cleaned it with. The leather seats weren't cleaned as well I have done them myself. So overall it was a very disappointing and upsetting experience...far from perfect. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I think I would have gotten better results buying the most expensive car wash available. read more
