The company was very professional, easy to do business with and did a high-quality job. The only downside is the amount of time it took to complete the job (about 14 weeks). They gave me an estimate over the phone, and when I brought my chairs in, they helped me pick a new color. I wanted something retro, and the new owner helped me pick the colors. I have used Patio Chair Care, a Division of West Coast Specialty Coating, Inc., in Concord on Shary Circle, for probably a decade for assorted car parts I want to get Powder or Ceramic Coated. My brother and I took in my new 911 Porsche muffler to have it Ceramic Coated. We met with Dylan and Kyle and they were terrific. Kyle helped us pick the correct color for my project and told us to come back in a couple days and it would be ready. We went back 4 days later and the muffler looked beautiful- a perfect job. My review is not based on services rendered, but on the quote process. While they were responsive, the increase in pricing from $1,336 less 10% special, to over $2,000 a few years later and one less piece of furniture was shocking. This pricing was for a cast aluminum 48" table, 4 chairs and a chaise. I will continue shopping for a company to restore my furniture at a reasonable price. read more

Just had my Tropitone lounge chairs and a small table refinished. The finish looked very high quality and the delivery went well.

I called Patio Chair Care to see if they had new feet for aluminum chairs.. A no name male answered and asked for text pic of the problem . I did. By text was asked for dimensions. They were sent. Was told he would have to look in the back. Heard nothing. Followed up at the end of the day. No answer. Called the next day and talked to an name female who told me they would not sell them to me unless they had done some repair to the chairs. Question, why the questions if they would not do it any.? read more

These guys are great. I had 3 patio chairs, each missing a strap. I called to say I was coming from Marin and wanted to wait for them to be done. When I dropped off the chairs, I said I'd come back in an hour. He told me to go to front office and by the time I paid, they would be done. We had our 35 year old Tropitone furniture powder coated & re-strapped last year. Glen & his team did a fantastic job. Pickup & delivery was a breeze & everyone was very professional. Haven't used their service yet. Checking the online reviews for them because I will have to travel 100 miles to get there to deliver my patio furniture, of course and then pick them up after refurbishing. Called their office, quick response, over the phone quote.....felt that was pretty reasonable since I'm not ready to bury my vintage Brown Jordans. Now reading reviews. I do plan to use this company. They have been recommended to me by three very reputable patio furniture retailers in the East Bay area. I'm leaving this pre-service comment because, when searching for reviews for anything, there's a huge trend to say something negative more often than when all things turn out satisfactory. Yikes!! $80+ to re-strap your vinyl-strapped chair. Since the straps usually cost $1.40 each, pre-cut and holes pre-drilled, $80 is insane!!! I could do it myself for $23/chair... or I could just buy new ones. No, I didn't get my chairs done here. read more

Our furniture was just delivered after being powder coated and I could not be more pleased! It looks as good as new and the paint which had small flecks of color is spot on like the original finish. They restored two lounges, two chairs, one side table and an ottoman. I would not hesitate to recommend Patio Chair Care to anyone. I am thrilled with the fantastic job they did on my table and chairs. My set was several years old and while they had held up pretty well, had developed some nicks and the vinyl had some tiny tears. Patio Chair Care sandblasted and powder coated the frames with a new color and re-strapped the chairs with a matching color. I am very pleased with the high quality of the work. read more

Terrible. No response - in the past three weeks I have called twice, and e/mailed photos/measurements of my patio furniture to be painted (not once, but TWO times!). The First time I called to verify the e/mail address the guy (I think it's the owner) said I had the correct e/mail address. All I want is a quote! Lousy customer service. We used these folks a few years ago for our Brown Jordan patio set that lives outside and had seen better days. They did an absolutely phenomenal jobs! looked like new and several years later still look like new. Do not judge a book by its cover. Same thing happened to me. Made phone calls, sent email with photos, no response.

We had six dining chairs and two chaise lounges powder coated at Patio Chair Care. In the process of removing the slings, they discovered that some of the threads were rotted. After sending the slings out to be re-sewn, they took special care with the metal coating. I am aware that they could have just put the new coat over the old one, but they did not cut corners. We are thrilled with the final product- they look like new! Would definitely recommend them for any of your outdoor furniture! read more

Stopped by this business to see if it looked reputable, based on LOW yelp reviews. They looked busy, and I spoke to sales manager Glenn who impressed me, said it would take 4 weeks, and seemed like a good guy. I got a bid for "re slinging" 6 pieces of Mallin patio furniture. Made appointment for pickup, they arrived 6/8/12 on schedule, driver told me it would be 4 or 5 weeks, due to some delays from sling fabric supplier of the special material I had ordered. OK everything looked good. 7/13/12 no word from them (31days) so I called, spoke to Diana she said fabric just arrived, it would be another week. OK. 7/20/12 still no word. I Called 7/24/12 for status, Diana will call me tomorrow with update. OK. I so wanted to give a great review... But will have to wait... Update July 30,2012 I had to call back for update on July 26, am told "should be ready" mid week next week. I assume that means Aug.1. More later... Finally delivered on August 7, 2012. The work they did on the chair was top notch, excellent. It took forever, but except for no chairs on my patio for (1day less than) two months. I am happy with their work. Suggest having work done in off season, when they might have a better chance of on-time completion. Since they did give me a discount for the inconvenience. I will upgrade them from 2 to 4 stars. read more
