I have has four or five bike frames and forks powder coated and they have always done a particularly good job.

I had a bunch of old metal tables and chairs that needed a refresh. I went to one company, and they told me to go home to completely disassemble the tables and pull off all the rubber tips on the chair legs, which would have taken a while. Instead I went to Reliable. Alfredo at Reliable disassembled the furniture, even replaced a few rubber tips, and did a beautiful job restoring the furniture. I think I have at least another 20 years of life in the furniture. Shawn and his team did an awesome job with my rollcage. I emailed him with rough dimension estimates for a quote that I was more than happy with and he stuck to his word when I brought it in. I was in and out in less than ten minutes and within a couple weeks it was done! When I went to pick it up I was -that- guy who came in shortly before closing (sorry Shawn!) and Shawn still made sure I was able to get my cage despite the hectic end of the work day. They also remembered to mask off the areas that needed to be covered even though I didn't make a note of it anywhere, super grateful for that! Had a set of wheels done and have gone to other shops prior and the results here are the best I've seen. This place is huge and industrial. Shawn and his crew did an amazing job on my wheels using, per my request, Prismatic Powders. Turn around time did take some time due to Covid but well worth the wait! I had Shawn sandblast powder coat my AISIN Manual Locking Hubs for my 1998 Toyota Tacoma. GREAT value and it turned out even better than I expected. It really makes the look of my truck. I walked into his shop and saw giant 40ft structural beams that look like they're made to support airplane hangars on one side, and something as small and insignificant as a valve cover for an engine on the other side. As others have said, the actual name of the business is Reliable Powder Coating. We had them sandblast and powder coat a small two horse trailer originally built in 1966 (see photos above). It had thick coats of paint and lots of rust inside and out. The owner, Alfredo Hernandez, gave me a GREAT price and his team did an EXCELLENT job. I couldn't be happier. They also worked in perfect harmony with Barstad & Donicht, Inc. (the company located down the street that I had do the steel fabrication and hub repair work). I have used this place twice to powder coat some car parts. Both times were good experiences. The product came out clean with good quality paint. They painted my rear coil springs. Did a good job so I came back for them to paint my front metal bumper. It was already painted from a factory previously but they did a much better job. The paint had much more thicker coat and looked way better from the original. Talk to Sean if you ever need anything painted. They're professional and do good work. Had RPC coat 4, 17" aluminum rims for me. From start to finish this shop is hands-down the best in the Bay Area. Shawn was great to work with - he was professional, responsive and offered great suggestions. Not only are the prices great, but the results and the timeliness in getting the job done are outstanding. Example - I took the rims to be mounted today and the shop (national company) really was scared to do it. They said the local shops here are producing junk and when they go to mount tires they ruin the rim...most shops are not using a primer they tell me or not curing them long enough or properly. That was NOT the case with these rims. Two of the shop guys were very impressed with the results and one even asked for the phone and address of RPC which I was happy to provide. I am a general contractor and through my favorite metalworker, Alfredo has powder coated many railings for my remodel projects. There was never a problem on any of them, so I never spoke with Alfredo directly for any reason. But this time, I had a personal project I was working on and it involved powder coating an old metal gym locker. It was rusted and had been used for paint, grease and solvent storage. I wanted it cleaned up and coated a bright color and used to store children's toys and gardening equipment outside. Alfredo surely thought I was a bit strange, but he took on the job anyway. His guys had to sandblast the darn thing twice to clean it up enough to get a good bond. And then he carefully coated the whole thing on six sides and each interior surface with all the shelves. I picked bright orange and it looks exactly how I wanted it to. The work was thorough, the price was unbelievable, and he didn't complain a bit, even though he probably deserved to. First off, the company is Reliable Powder Coating, not Reliance. These guys are pros and have been around for years. I' ve sent my work to Dave since 1999, and have never been disappointed in the quality and care that Dave and his crew put in to their production. As they are in a production mode, juggling everything from mulitiple pieces, to single items, I tip my hat to these guys for being able to juggle it all. My advice, if you are only bringing them one piece, be prepared to wait, as it's time-consuming to have re-set the powder-gun for each individual color. read more

Overall my experience with Reliable Powder Coating went fairly smooth. I brought in some wheels to get painted after I messed up painting them myself. I am by no means an expert. I was given a quote on the spot and the final bill was over what we agreed on but I'll happily pay for a quality job. Everything was great until I noticed that the inner bores were also painted. I thought it was common knowledge that you do not want to paint it as that is the part that comes in contact with the car. These are my track wheels and I did not feel confident mounting them with the with the paint sandwiched in between. I have since removed the paint by sanding and all is good but for how much I spent I was not expecting to put in any additional labor. Also, the paint came out much darker than I was expecting. I had originally chosen a darker blue color but called to switch it the same day and I was happy to hear that the other color was not ordered yet but I wonder if the new lighter color was used. I am a first time customer at Reliance/Reliable Powder Coating. I am an artist with an unusual request to powder coat ceramics with a non-conductive surface. Immediately Alfredo Hernandez took a chance, stepped up and gave me a free test that took an hour. Floor supervisor Jose Chavez was another stand-up guy without a doubt that made sure I was well taken care of. These guys were so accomodating to my inquirees and needs. They helped me realize an idea for a new surface treatment for my work. They proved their knowledge by projecting what might happen to my porous surface after selecting a special type of textured black that cost a lot of money. They arranged for yet another free test that yeilded great results. I gave a go ahead to complete the project and hoped for consistency in our success. We did not get that consistency and the problems they projected happened. They did not stop there and suggested I take the successful pieces and they try a different approach to get the finish I was looking for. This place is awesome and well-priced even for a small project. The guys fixing my metal gate recommended Reliance for a few brackets that I wanted to match, and when I got there and saw the scale at which this company worked I thought they would laugh when they saw the tiny box I had brought with me. The work was done beautifully in 48 hours and they did a perfect match even though I had lost the swatch code. Dave the production manager is an incredibly patient and easygoing guy, I cannot say enough nice things about him. Most of the work they do seems to be for gigantic gates or structural beams, so you do have to step over kind of a crazy maze of metal outside to get to the office, and when you get inside there is a similar lack of attention to presentation. I have some good quality aluminum mesh-back outdoor chairs that, over the years, became rusted and embarrassing to look at. I brought them to Reliable Powder Coating for what I expected to be a three day procedure. I received a call the next day that they would be in my neighborhood with the chairs. I was somewhat dubious that they could do the job that quickly and was prepared to send them back if I was not satisfied. To my amazement they looked brand new and were given an additional coat of protection so that being outside in the weather seems not to affect them at all. I could not be more pleased.
