Fast and friendly service. Quality work done at a reasonable price. My dinning room chairs became "uncomfortable" over time. Marco and Maria quickly diagnosed the problem and came up with a solution. Their work is impeccable and the chairs are more comfortable now than they have ever been. Thank you! Reupholstering saved a few thousand dollars over replacement. I definitely recommend them. read more

Jesennie's Upholstery is now located in Martinez after being in Lafayette for 30 years. I wanted to update my long cushions that I have in my breakfast nook. It had been 15 years since they got a do-over! Mary could not have been more helpful in helping me. I just got the cushions back today and they were delivered by her husband, Mario. They are perfect and I am so excited. The price was right and I am completely satisfied! read more

Excellent work, kind folks, good prices Jesennie's has done 4 projects for me in the last 2 years (see photos of 2 of 'em) including reupholstering a headboard & window bench, replacing foam in a living room seat cushion that was worn & uncomfortable, and replacing foam and fabric in 6 dining room chairs. Their work is always excellent; they're kind, helpful, and really pleasant to work with; their prices are good. Estimates are easy to get via text, pick up & delivery makes the rest easy too. The result: they make my existing well-made furniture look and feel new for far less $$$ than actually buying new. read more

I had an oversized armchair that my dog had destroyed repaired and reupholstered. Jesennie's did an amazing job -- great selection of fabrics, marvelous attention to detail and craftsmanship. The chair is much more comfortable to sit in now than it was before. I will use them for all my upholstery needs. Plus, they are extremely nice and service-oriented. Work was done quickly too. read more

We have had multiple items upholstered here--couches, chairs, and more--and we are consistently impressed by the exceptional quality, the clear communication between Jesennie's team and us, and the outstanding value for the money. Their craftsmanship is truly remarkable! Every piece we've received looks not just reupholstered, but as if it were brand new, straight from the store. The attention to detail and the pride they take in their work are evident, and it's clear they genuinely care about customer satisfaction. This is a place we will come back to over and over again. read more

Jesennie's Upholstery - So nice. And comfy! - Furniture Reupholstery Near Me - Martinez, California

I needed a new cushion for my chair - Jesennie's did a great job in replacing the cushion and now the chair is perfect.

I have tried bringing my items to be upholstered because I didn't wNt to drive to my regular upholstery place (which I love but it's in alameda.) and every time I've been turned away. The person says she won't do it, it's too much work, she doesn't have time etc. as a previous Lafayette resident I really wanted to bring the business locally but now I will not return nor would I recommend this business. Today it was a simple cut-down of a bolster. Not a big deal. I was turned away. read more

Another fantastic job by Jesennie's Upholstery. I really do not understand the postings complaining about these wonderful people. They are long time craftsmen consistently providing a great product. They made new slip covers for my club chair 11 years ago and when I decided to have a new one made for remodeling purposes I pulled out their business card and sent a text with a picture and in 24 hours had a quote. Great price and no delivery charge. No other upholstery shop had this service. Turn around time was fantastic at about 2 weeks. Again other shops told me 8 weeks. Will always call them for my upholstery work. read more

I read the other reviews about Jesennie's on yelp and thought I'd take a chance. I'm so glad I did! We had our 20 year old couch and chair done and they look and feel brand new. The shop has a lot of fabric choices and the work was done ahead of time. We are extremely pleased. read more

Words cannot describe how elated I am over the excellent work of Jesennie's. I had a very large white sofa with wooden trim that I wanted slip covers for. Honestly, the slip covers look like they are the original upholstery. Jesenne's made sure the slip covers had the same accent stitching of the original. They also took the liberty of making the pillow covers an inch smaller than the original so that they fit better than the original upholstery and the pillows keep their shape. The slip covers fit like a glove and the wooden trim of the sofa is easily visible. I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend them. read more

Jesennie's Upholstery is amazing. I was referred to them by Home Fabric & Rugs in Pleasant Hill, who are also amazing (see my other reviews). I'd already received two price quotes for reupholstering my two mid-century modern bar stools when I called Jesennie's. The job had to include all new foam (since the stools reeked of 40 years of tobacco) as well as reupholstery (not slip covers - although Jesennie's does those, too). In all cases the deal was that I would provide the fabric, and the upholsterers would provide anything else necessary (foam, etc). Jesennie's quote came in at less than HALF the price of the other guys, and after I looked at their work on the web site (www.jesenniesupholstery.com) I decide to go ahead and give them the work. Mario came out to pick up the stools and the fabric the next day, confirmed his phone estimate and put it in writing, and promised me that he would have the completed stools back to me within a week. After past experiences waiting 4 - 8 weeks to get pieces back, this was practically unbelievable. Today - six days later - Mario brought the stools back, and they look (and smell) brand new. There was no charge for pick up or delivery, everything was professional and on time, and Mario was super nice, too. I will be using these guys for all my upholstery from now on. Highly recommended! read more

Great process from start to finish and really beautiful work! They recovered an antique chair and replaced the springs and cushions - it's so comfortable and beautiful now. I got a good quote over text after sending the dimensions and what I wanted done, they pick up and drop off and their work is top notch. They promised six weeks and got it done in four! Will absolutely use them again. read more

So even though their website says nothing about call first and their door clearly states walk-ins or by appointment, they will not even discuss a project with you. And unless you call first give them your contact information and send them pictures of the project. You also can't get in the front door without ringing the bell and when they do let you in they tell you point blank. They don't want your project unless you call first. This is the worst I've ever seen. A business that is turning away good projects when people are struggling for work following the pandemic. These people have a death wish on their business read more

These guys are GREAT ! Had 4 older dining chairs that needed new Seating Upholstery. Had several estimates of local (Lafayette) Upholstery places and settled on Jesennie's. I have used Jesennie's Upholstery on three separate occasions after a friend referred them to me. They do fantastic work for reasonable prices. I upholstered an outdoor couch 3 years ago and it still looks terrific. Earlier this summer, I upholstered 3 outdoor chairs and they came out perfectly. The most recent job they did for me was a large sectional couch with nail trim and the work was perfect. Small jobs they do in less than a week and the sectional took two weeks, which was exactly as they promised. They also come to the house to pick up and drop off the furniture. It doesn't get any better than that. Please check out my photos to see their work. Highly highly recommend!! read more

My couch was returned today and I couldn't be happier. Jesennie's did a wonderful job on repairing my aging couch. It had deteriorated in support and I was dreading trying to find someone to repair it to it's former glory. The hardest part of the project was finding new material. It took several tries, but I finally found a pattern that I thought would blend well with two chairs in the room. Well, it looks stunning with the chairs. Can't say enough nice things about this company. Everyone cares about ensuring you're happy with the end product. They go above and beyond. If I could give this shop ten stars, I would! They were very easy to do business with, and I was happy to drop off my cushions and ottoman, and pick them up when completed. I had some fabric for the cushions and chose fabric from a selection they offered for my ottoman. I texted my info, including measurements of my pieces and what I wanted to accomplish. They got back to me quickly, pricing was very reasonable, and they could get the work done in a timely manner. I wanted tufting on the top of my ottoman, and it was done beautifully, the material all pattern matched on the sides, very polished, with a high attention to detail.
