Another fantastic job by Jesennie's Upholstery. I really do not understand the postings complaining about these wonderful people. They are long time craftsmen consistently providing a great product. They made new slip covers for my club chair 11 years ago and when I decided to have a new one made for remodeling purposes I pulled out their business card and sent a text with a picture and in 24 hours had a quote. Great price and no delivery charge. No other upholstery shop had this service. Turn around time was fantastic at about 2 weeks. Again other shops told me 8 weeks. Words cannot describe how elated I am over the excellent work of Jesennie's. I had a very large white sofa with wooden trim that I wanted slip covers for. Honestly, the slip covers look like they are the original upholstery. Jesenne's made sure the slip covers had the same accent stitching of the original. They also took the liberty of making the pillow covers an inch smaller than the original so that they fit better than the original upholstery and the pillows keep their shape. The slip covers fit like a glove and the wooden trim of the sofa is easily visible. I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend them. read more

So even though their website says nothing about call first and their door clearly states walk-ins or by appointment, they will not even discuss a project with you. And unless you call first give them your contact information and send them pictures of the project. You also can't get in the front door without ringing the bell and when they do let you in they tell you point blank. They don't want your project unless you call first. Jesennie's Upholstery is amazing. I was referred to them by Home Fabric & Rugs in Pleasant Hill, who are also amazing (see my other reviews). I'd already received two price quotes for reupholstering my two mid-century modern bar stools when I called Jesennie's. The job had to include all new foam (since the stools reeked of 40 years of tobacco) as well as reupholstery (not slip covers - although Jesennie's does those, too). In all cases the deal was that I would provide the fabric, and the upholsterers would provide anything else necessary (foam, etc). Jesennie's quote came in at less than HALF the price of the other guys, and after I looked at their work on the web site (www.jesenniesupholstery.com) I decide to go ahead and give them the work. Mario came out to pick up the stools and the fabric the next day, confirmed his phone estimate and put it in writing, and promised me that he would have the completed stools back to me within a week. After past experiences waiting 4 - 8 weeks to get pieces back, this was practically unbelievable. Today - six days later - Mario brought the stools back, and they look (and smell) brand new. There was no charge for pick up or delivery, everything was professional and on time, and Mario was super nice, too. I will be using these guys for all my upholstery from now on. I have used Jesennie's Upholstery on three separate occasions after a friend referred them to me. They do fantastic work for reasonable prices. I upholstered an outdoor couch 3 years ago and it still looks terrific. Earlier this summer, I upholstered 3 outdoor chairs and they came out perfectly. The most recent job they did for me was a large sectional couch with nail trim and the work was perfect. Small jobs they do in less than a week and the sectional took two weeks, which was exactly as they promised. They also come to the house to pick up and drop off the furniture.
