I used the Yelp project finder to find Lucia's. I got several quotes but they were by far the most affordable place. They cost almost half of other quotes I got. There was quite a bit of communication back-and-forth and it was all seamless. I paid 200 extra to have my seats picked up and returned because they're down in the San Jose area. It was well worth that extra cost as I'm in Solano County. I got my dining room chairs beautifully refinished by Lucia's upholstery.The quality was amazing. They also quoted me a couple weeks. All other places were saying 6 weeks or so. Super happy with my chairs and Lucia's. Give them a shot! read more

Wow. Just wow. Dalila and Carlos are simply amazing. The quality of the workmanship, materials and service are top notch. I am arguably one of the pickiest of clients - details matter to me and I like to be involved with the process, every step of the way. I made changes along the way and Dalila was very responsive and informative - from start to finish. I wish more businesses were run like they run their business - with such professional (and personal) care, and clearly a passion for their profession and excellence. The original chairs were manufactured by a high end designer and the reupholstered chairs that Lucio's did were far superior when compared to the original chairs. I couldn't have asked for anything more - they went above and beyond, every step of the way. Mind you, this was a complicated job. But they handled it better than any other vendor I've ever worked with (I love custom, quality work). Best part is that Dalila and Carlos are just good people - GREAT people! Hardworking, more than fai and reasonable, honest/transparent, fast, and extremely dedicated. I am truly beyond impressed. I called a few other highly rated businesses, but something was lacking in the interactions I had, both on the phone and via email/texts. However, within a minute of my phone conversation with Dalila, I felt at ease and sensed her sincerity and genuine desire to help me with our sofa. I believe their quote for the project was appropriate for the scope of the job. We appreciated their willingness to drive out to our home to help us choose a fabric and give us input with regards to type of fabric, color, and style. We also asked Carlos to build us a matching storage ottoman to match the sofa. During the process of choosing a fabric, Dalila was patient and very responsive to my questions. Scheduling the pick up (and later, the delivery) was very easy. The sofa came out so beautifully and it was delivered slightly ahead of schedule, along with the ottoman which was a solid and well-made piece of bespoke furniture. Well done, Carlos, on both items! I'm very happy that we decided to reupholster our sofa as it was made twenty years ago when furniture was made to last and Both Dalila and Carlos shared it was worth reupholstering as opposed to spending the same amount or more on a sofa not as well-made.
