The reviews of this shop are so great I decided to email the shop via their website and ask about a potential order. The shop answered a couple hours after the email was sent. However, all I received was an invoice. This invoice was addressed to "walking client" and listed the price of the order I requested. As listed, there was labor, fabric, and shipping charges. I was more than ok with the labor and fabric costs. But shipping charges? For what? I did not request the finished item to be shipped to me. I also did not choose a fabric, nor a color, so how are they charging me $45 in shipping? I asked a very specific question and there was no answer to my question. Just the invoice and a very high shipping charge that was not accounted for. There was no dialogue. No greeting. No invite to speak with them more about the order. Just an invoice. I had read that this company was very personable, kind, and do good work. I cannot confirm any of this from my experience and will not patronage a business unwilling to treat me like a client and not just a paycheck. P.S. For Pillows & More: "Walking client" should be walk-in client. As in a client who walks into your establishment on foot, not an email. read more

We had a fantastic experience working with Uvaldo at Pillows and More. Our sofa seat cushions had completely lost their shape and support over time, and we were honestly considering replacing the entire sofa. Uvaldo restuffed the cushions and brought them back to life -- they now look and feel brand new. He was incredibly knowledgeable, explained the different options clearly, and helped us choose the right level of firmness. The quality of the work is excellent, and the turnaround time was exactly as promised. What impressed us most was his attention to detail and pride in his craftsmanship. It's rare to find someone so reliable and skilled. We saved a lot of money by restuffing instead of replacing our sofa, and the result exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Uvaldo and Pillows and More to anyone looking to refresh their cushions or upholstery. read more

Ubaldo, and Pillows and More did a fantastic job reupholstering our two vintage chairs. The quality of their work is outstanding. Ubaldo was wonderful to work with and knowledgeable. And his prices are reasonable for high quality and great customer service. I would definitely use them again. read more

Came in person to inquire about replacing the foam inside of my couch cushions. Super warm and inviting. Took me in the back to show me the different densities for foam. Was able to supply me with a quote. The unfortunate part is that I ignorantly didn't know how much the foam cost. In my case, it'd be better just to get a new couch. Appreciate the service though! read more

I had a recliner back re-stuffed here. Now the chair is better than new! Quality work and excellent customer service and communication. The owner went out of his way to complete the project quickly and get the chair back to me asap! read more

Ubaldo is the best! I had a sofa with a chaise cushion and two standard cushions. I wanted the chaise converted into a standard cushion to match the other two, and to 'plump up' them up. First let me say that his work was outstanding. I couldn't tell the converted cushion from the other two - it was an exact match, and all three of them looked amazing - better than when new. But Ubaldo is much more than a skilled craftsman. He is an extremely likeable fellow. He was very polite, warm, and courteous in our texts and calls. He was out when I dropped off the cushions at his shop in Hayward so I did not meet him then. When the work was done I asked him what his shop hours were so I could pick up the cushions. Before answering he asked where I lived and when I told him I was in SF he offered to deliver the cushions to me since he was going to be there for another delivery. Outstanding! We met finally when he delivered the cushions. He was genuinely happy to meet me as I him. In addition to his excellent work and customer service, his bid came in well below the others I received on Yelp. I could not have had a more positive experience working with Ubaldo and highly recommend Pillows and More without hesitation. read more

Very fast response to a quote request. Looking forward to working with you. Will report back.... Thank you!

Ubaldo Almanza, owner of "Pillows and More", is amazing. We had (2) worn out sofa cushions, you know the ones that hurt your back because they're so old. I asked Ubaldo if he could help and he stated absolutely. I told him I wanted a little bit stiffer of a cushion and he took measurements. Luckily he had the cushions or it might have taken a couple days to get them in. The next day he called and the cushions were ready. These cushions are so amazing...they're better than the originals...lol. I can't thank Ubaldo and "Pillows and More" enough...just amazing service and assistance. If you need new sofa cushions go to "Pillows and More", you won't be disappointed. Thanks Ubaldo, Pat Marzo read more

My couch cushion was saggy and unsupportive after 15 years of use. These guys restuffed the cushion and my couch is good as new. Great service, fast turnaround, competitively priced and they even delivered it to my home once it was ready (although the delivery fee was not disclosed until the bill was rung up). read more

Ubaldo is amazing! Extremely kind -- extremely talented! I desperately needed bench cushions for our kitchen nook but was having a very hard time finding anyone to make them at a reasonable price. Picking out the fabric sample was quick and easy and the cushions came out as complete perfection and 1/3rd the price of my other quotes. Could not recommend him enough! Excellent craftsmanship. Beautiful cushions. Very knowledgeable and experienced owner.

I had some mid century modern chairs that were in need of updating. I found this place on Yelp and I am so glad that I did! First of all, the owner Ubaldo is very friendly and positive. I was overwhelmed by all of the fabric colors and textures. He let me take a few sample books home so that I could match the fabrics with the rest of the furniture in my house. He was honest and said that the padding in my cushions were still in great shape and that they did not need replacing. I am so happy with the way my chairs came out. Need to update your furniture? This is the place to come! read more

Had a great experience with the owner and his wife who assisted me in bringing 2 old torn up flat pillows back to life! These pillows were very special to me, so I did not want to throw them away. The back sides were chewed up by our dog. They replaced the fabric on the back and placed a new inserts to make pillows nice and big again! Love it! Thank you so much. read more

Ubaldo did a terrific job replacing a couch cushion. This was an oddly shaped chaise cushion, so we had a hard time finding anyone who would replace it for a reasonable price. Most people also would only glue together foam pieces to fill the cushion. Ubaldo provided a reasonable quote, a very quick turnaround time compared to the competition, and recommended the type of foam insert that would be the most comfortable and would hold up the longest. He delivered on all of these and provided a very high quality result -- we're able to comfortably use the half of the couch we have been avoiding for almost a year now while trying to find a reasonable way to fix it. read more

I was so excited to leave this review because Ubaldo did such an amazing job at reupholstering, re-stuffing, and bringing life to our dingy armrests. I would say more, but the before and after pictures speak volumes. Professional, responsive, courteous! Will refer friends in need of reupholstering and think of his business next time I have a project. Thank you so much! read more

I've never had anything reupholstered, so I didn't know where to begin when a chair needed this service done. I received a recommendation to go with Ubaldo and couldn't be happier with the results. Ubaldi (owner) repair work is fantastic. Our dining room chairs fabric and cushions were worn out. Our intent was to have new cushions and fabric cut and I would reassemble. He ended up doing all the work and reassembly. The chairs now look brand new, firm seating. We can't even see where the fabric is folded back underneath and hidden. Amazing work; he promised completion in a week and he was true to his word! Very honest repair work. read more

It was difficult to find someone who would redo my slipped covered sleeper couch. We've had it a long time so the cushion was almost gone. Ubaldo stopped by to give me an estimate. The cost was fare and he agreed to pick it up and deliver even though it was heavy. When it was complete I was very impressed - it was cushy again and looked brand new. The pillow covers were great and the work was excellent. I will use Ubaldo again. Super quality, on time, keeps his promises and he's a nice man that's easy to work with. read more

He also fixed the side of the chair, free of charge. Not only was the price extremely fair, the service was also efficient and professional. Highly, highly recommended! read more

We had some chairs we wanted to be reupholstered. We simply showed up a while back after his initial and competitive quote. I just sent him a text to let him know we were coming by. We were met with great service and Ubaldo spent some good time with us making sure to get us the materials, fabric, and pricing that we wanted. He's very responsive and communicative. It took about two weeks a little before Christmas break and the quality was superb. Extra care taken to reinforce the seats and the seeming was great. When we saw similar chairs when we were shopping out over the holidays, we were doubly confident that choosing Ubaldo and his team was the best choice. I was in the process of doing a room refresh and was in need finishing a window seat. I had the foam and the fabric, just needed some skillful sewing to put it all together. Ubaldo came through! Ubaldo did an amazing job! I don't normally write reviews but I definitely believe this business deserves it. I contacted Ubaldo after contacting many businesses closer to my location. Ubaldo's business is about 45 min away from me but after getting into contact with him, I decided that it would be worth taking the longer drive to get my couch cushion fixed. I am very impressed with his professionalism. I had reached out to other businesses and did not receive a professional response like I did with this business. I received a response very quickly and he was able to fit me in to his schedule within a few days which was amazing. I will definitely come back to this business for my future furniture needs. I hope this review will help others decide that this is the best business in the area! read more
