This was the 3rd and final order from Los Tacos. We placed an order for 1 burrito tradicional pollo asada, 1 dos amores burrito with a side of chips and a grande basket of chips. We were told the order would be delivered within 30 minutes, wrong it took an hour and that was Los Tacos fault. The basket of grande chips turned out to be a few stale chips (and I mean only a few) at a cost of $5.40. The $14.25 dos amores burrito turned out to be a flour rolled taco. It was a joke... As for the pollo asado burrito. My wife took a couple bites and said I have to order something different - it was that bad. This place was actually pretty damn good when we first tried it back in 2018. Now we live in the area and it could be the worst of all the taco shops we have visited. Save your money and go some place else. This was their third strike. They are no longer an option for us. read more

Was not expecting much from this place, but I walked away feeling like I just found the best taqueria in the Temecula/Murrieta area. My wife got cabeza and tripa tacos, and she loved them. So far this has been one of the few spots we've found that do tripa tacos, and they were fried nice and crispy, just the way she likes them. She liked them so much she ordered two more. My son got the birria tacos. I know everyone raves about birria tacos nowadays, but I haven't been a huge fan of them. That is, until we found this place. The tacos were perfectly fried, the consommé great, and we got a great cheese pull from biting into the tacos. Best birria I've tried anywhere. After seeing the Al Pastor meat succulently rotating on the trompo, I knew I had to order an Al Pastor burrito, and it did not disappoint. Not only was the meat grilled to savory perfection, but they threw in chunks of pineapple into my burrito as well! I absolutely LOVE pineapple with my Al Pastor meat, so this kicked things up a notch in my eyes. There are a lot of sides and salsas to choose from at the salsa bar. Aside from the half-dozen salsas, there are limes, radishes, pickled onions and broiled jalapeños to grab. A lot of taquerias have these options, but not many have them ALL, so that was nice to see. Service was friendly and especially FAST! We got our food very quickly! They had forgotten to make one of our orders but when we brought up the issue it was taken care of in just a few minutes. I used to think I'd have to travel out of town to San Diego if I was really craving some good Mexican food, but I think I just found a local spot that will satisfy me. Their California burrito was horrible. Half of the burrito was cold and it felt like they had just taken their tomatoes and onions straight out of the freezer. The meat was super chewy and had no flavor. Their sour cream was watery and tasteless. AND THEN the horchata was SOUR. Because on Taco Tuesday right now, I can get in, and I don't want all of you to go visit this spot and change that. As you walk in, you know you are at the right spot. They are hand making corn tortillas. Yes!!! Just behind that, there is al pastor being shaved, and about six inches behind that you see the hot grill will carne asada and polla asada. We popped by around 7:30 on Tuesday. For the good of the order, we had to order like almost one of everything... right? Order up and found a table right away. I tried all the amazing salsas on the bar (and the carrots). Yup amazing and perfect and the place I so don't want another soul to hear about how amazing it is. So don't tell anyone, ok? Our tacos arrive at our table, they are the image of perfection!! My friend has her all covered with guac, I take mine native. We LOVE them. The tortillas are perfection, I love how you can tell they were just made. The meats are seasoned exactly right. In the end, I prefer then carne and she prefers the pollo. THEN because why not.... we ask for something not on the menu. She's GF. And want another bite of amazing. So, we order a fresh made corn tortilla cheese quesadilla. OMG. This should sooooo be on the menu. We paid lord knows what, but darn it was good. The other must haves... The Hawaiian, The Californian and the Carne Asada Fries. I have come here few times in the past and have totally forgotten to write a review. This place is a GEM. Doesn't look like much from the outside just your typical SoCal taco shop but FAR from that. Today we ordered the carnitas fajita bowl, bean and cheese burrito, kids quesadilla, and CA burrito with avocado slices. ALL of it was excellent. The kids quesadilla is HUGE. In fact all the food is large portions but won't go to waste. The tortillas are freshly made YUM. The beans are excellent and the fries are not soggy and perfect size(not too thin, not too thick) My husband really enjoys there pastor tacos, the Diabla taco is excellent especially if you are looking for spice. This place is authentic Mexican food. It does get busy especially around typical lunch time but totally worth the wait. You can call ahead as well for pick up. You will not be disappointed! I've been to Los Tacos twice. Fellow Yelpers' reviews brought me in the first time to try a couple tacos, which were good. It's a smaller sized taco shop with limited seating inside and a few patio tables outside. The mini strip mall location guarantees storefront parking; if not, there's a large adjacent mall lot. My most recent visit was during a winter month, and the doors were closed, trapping in all the heat from the kitchen area and seemingly no ventilation. The inside temperature was nearly unbearable, so I can't imagine what it's like when summer comes around unless you take your food to go. At the register, the person taking my order had me repeat it several times due to the noise. However, I think that was only partially true; because she seemed distracted by what was going on in the kitchen. Even though she echoed what I said, the order turned out wrong, which I didn't notice until the food was ready. Though I didn't enjoy my dine, the tacos are good, the salsa bar is well-stocked, and lots of people come in for the food. It's just unlikely that I'll come back, since other more convenient locations with equally good food are in the surrounding area. read more

Second... the taco Tuesday after 5 pm are the only ones I have found worth it in the area. Please someone tell me where to find better for the especial price on Tuesdays. Seems like the standard street taco shot up in SoCal to about 3-5 dollars each and this is a crime. Los Taco still has reasonable prices on Tuesday and the family can pack 3-5 with out breaking the bank for the week. This is our hole in the wall go to taco place in Temecula. I come here often during lunch time for their tacos or gorditas. The food is always delicious. Today I stopped by for the first time for a breakfast burrito: egg, cheese, potatoes, ham, and bacon wrapped in a giant flour tortilla. You can customize any meat into the breakfast burrito or just have it with egg, cheese, and potatoes. Let's just say I devoured it!! I only waited about 7 minutes on a busy Sunday morning. They have a lot of phone orders, so you can call ahead if you don't have time to wait or have a larger order. The ladies and guys that work there are always friendly and working fast. The fact that this place has 4 stars is beyond my belief. I asked the cashier what specials they had and she stated that the tacos were $1. That was the special for taco Tuesday. I ordered chicken and carne asada tacos. Being that their tacos were $1 should of raised some red flags. I received my order and I couldn't distinguish the type of meat that was cooked. Not only do you get this special for $1 dollar but you sure ass hell get the mystery meat as well. The only good thing that was on this taco was the pineapple. I started to eat what supposedly was the carne asada tacos and let me tell you the meat didn't taste fresh. They loaded it onions and cilantro. Long story short after 30 minutes of having consumed these tacos I did not feel well. I started to get nauseous which my stomach started to cramp up. This food sent me straight to the bathroom. I can't believe this place is even in business. Even their horchata tasted watered down and I believe it's probably an instant mix they use cause it wasn't homemade. Best believe Yelp isn't the only place that I will be sending my review too. This place is not worth spending your money on. Im only giving them one star but this place doesn't deserve that. We come here often. Basically every weekend. Sometimes twice a week. Everything is good and fresh. Personally, I think the carne asada fries is what sets them apart. The tacos are good.
