Walking up, it smells amazing. Once you're inside you can see beautiful, hand carved chairs and booth seat - the vibrant colors and beautiful images instantly reminded me of my visit to Oaxaca, Mexico. Before we were fully seated chips and salsa were in the table, and right when we got comfortable they took our drink order. The food came quickly and it was delicious! The Mexican style tacos with guacamole and beans & rice on the side were wonderful. They tasted exactly as I expected and hoped for. My kids got the flour tortillas with beans & rice, and my wife got a Los Ranchitos Burrito - there were no leftovers it was so good! The staff was also pleasant, well groomed, and quick. The bathrooms need an update as they were slightly too "used" but I don't fault them for that. Definitely give it a try!

We tried this place for a late lunch on a Saturday. The sign out front advertised a chimi special so we were afraid it was going to be just gringo mex. The building is unpromising -- a repurposed former chain restaurant in a run-down parking lot. Needs a basket of flowers or something. But the interior had booths with gorgeously carved and painted wooden backs lined around the room. The menu had every combo imaginable. They also offered some house specialties, and a good selection of Mexican soft drinks and beer. We tried the traditional Mexican-style soft corn tacos with meat, onions and cilantro. The taco shells were lightly fried, hot and chewy. Pastor was really good. The carne asada was a little bit dry. The serving of frijoles on the side was so generous we could have shared an order. The chips were hot, thin and crispy, served with a somewhat sweet tomato-saucy salsa. After kindly warning us about the heat they brought out a bowl of good hot sauce. Worth a visit.

I ordered nachos and this is what I hot. So gross, $8.00. What a joke

If you want real mexican food, don't bother with this place. Throwing Queso on everything is probably just to add flavor. Take a peek of my nachos in the picture section. You'll get better mexican at Taco Bell. This place is a joke.

Food was average, service was average to sub par. Chips seemed a bit stale or out of a bag, definitely not fresh. Salsa was decent, with tomato & cilantro - queso was average. Nothing really stood out to me personally about this place. Big problem for me was the comfort level of the place. Entire area was very warm temperature-wise and was filled with flies. Spent entire time swatting flies away from my meal, not really an appetizing experience. At one point a fly landed in the queso which pretty much ended the entire meal for me. Menu is quite large with plenty to choose from. They could probably narrow it down to a page or two and put more effort into those dishes as flavors seemed bland to me. Just my .02

One of my favorite Mexican places. We've been going here since it opened. I'm glad they remodeled.

My cousin and aunt rave about this place and brought me here for lunch. Oooo it's good…read more I like the interior of this restaurant. Festive decor and friendly staff. Nice clean bathroom. We were promptly greeted and given lunch and specials menus. The menu is enormous and plenty of choices for any palate. I found what I wanted, bean tostadas and cheese enchiladas. I love the finely shredded white cheese they sprinkled on top of the bean tostadas. I got the Vegetarian C plate which was $10.99. I admit I was not too crazy about the cheese enchilada but it was OK. I was pleased that the server allowed me to get another bean tostada in place of the bean burrito. We shared a bowl of white queso dip yummmmmm! Hot gooey deliciousness. It was a very generous serving and we took some of it home. Cousin got the Burrito Tapatio holy cow it is the biggest burrito ever!!!! There should be a warning on the menu to let customers know it is the size of your head. Seriously. It is enough for at least three meals. My aunt got some corn tacos which she enjoyed. Very reasonably priced and a tasty meal, great service.

It was around 5:00pm and there was hardly any cars in front. Had the best taco in my life here. They had a nice portion of Guac and the Salsa and Chips were excellent. I would be a regular if it was near my home. By around 6:00pm, people started entering the place. Friendly staff too.
