Ok I live for Los Mariscos! And with Los Tacos right next door I still prefer these guys because I can't resist a fish taco!! My favorite is the simple fish taco with all the fixins, and the breaded shrimp taco. I will say I found even without adding any extra the spicy shrimp and the regular fish taco were both indeed spicey fiyah! I really enjoy spice and I don't remember it being this hot before but dang I was in flavor town! I love the vibe inside and they move through the line quick. On a busy Chelsea market day I find that this little tucked away gem tends to me less chaotic, too!
Very nice spot that serves seafood tacos. I originally wanted to go to the los tacos no. 1, but was redirected here by the staff since that place doesn't do seafood tacos. This taco spot is tucked away in the bowels of Chelsea market. It was crowded when I went (Thursday evening) but the line and ordering process was pretty efficient. I decided to get a fish taco, a shrimp taco, and a ceviche. Since I ordered it to go, I was a bit surprised why they didn't give it to me in takeout containers (it was served in paper plates covered in foil). Fortunately, I was holding the bag upright the entire time so it didn't leak but it could've easily gone awry had I not been careful. The ceviche was more like a ceviche taco and not necessarily traditional ceviche (like a soup). I wasn't too much of a fan of that dish. However, I did find the fish tacos and shrimp tacos pretty decent. Definitely worth visiting especially if you're in the area or visiting Little Island or the Whitney Museum

The tacos are so fresh, the red salsa is spicy. I like that they had coronitas to drink. The guac & chips is an off the board side, but fresh and delicious. Chips are excellent. This is a get in line and place your order, then wait for your number to be called. Seating is limited but usually turns over pretty fast. It's like a little slice of Baja California in the middle of nyc!
They're no LA tacos but these are pretty close and dang good. Got the fish and shrimp tacos which came perfectly fried and rich. Good toppings and nice low heat. The especial ceviche was quite fresh and well balanced. Wish it came with more chips! Overall very vibey and cute spot. Lines can be long.
I've been here a few times. Went here for a tacos which fish which was absolutely delicious! I ordered two but I actually should have ordered one since they are very filling! At only $4.50 each, it is totally a bargain! The place is immediately outside of Chelsea market and I highly suggest it. They used to have picnic tables outside but they weren't there this time. I had to eat at the table inside! I recommend coming here and having something you'll love. We also stuck up good conversation with people who were just visiting NYC for a few days!

There is a bit of a wait but, that's only because everything is being made as orders roll in. As I waited for my fish and shrimp tacos, I could see the staff pressing out fresh tortillas and mixing marinated seafood. Inside is quite small, and unless the weekdays are different, I wouldnt count on there being seats available. But I did walk out with my tacos and a watermelon agua fresca! The agua fresca tasted...fresh. Not too sweet, but refreshing. Both tacos came with battered seafood, slaw, some pico and hot sauce. A satisfying taste in every bite. Well worth shoveling it down on the Highline. It can be pricey, but what taco isn't in the city. Well worth a visit if you're in the Chelsea area!

Los Tacos sister restaurant with much less of a long line, probably because of location. Always enjoy the ceviche on a shatteringly crisp tostada. The fried fish and fried shrimp tacos were a little bland but well fried. Aguachile was very fresh and portioned generously. We used up the accompanying tostadas to scoop all the scallops up!

I don't really care for the tostada but the ceviche itself was very flavorful. Fried fish tacos were very good too! Don't forget to ask for some complimentary shrimp broth which was a very nice addition on an especially cold day! They also have a container of chiclets near the bar area- a very cute touch- and some fun flavors/colors too! Typically more seating than Los Tacos which is nice. Overall, I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

I love their sister restaurant Los Tacos #1 and when I found out they had a seafood sister taco spot I excited because now my pescatarian friend could finally enjoy the delicious tacos. My friend and I decided to go by for a late lunch. Even though the space is fairly small we lucked up and found seating when others were leaving. The staff and very friendly and helpful explaining the different tacos and toppings. They have a decent variety of options on their menu and this location also offers oysters and clam and a full bar. I settled on the fish and shrimp tacos. These tacos come packed with flavor, toppings, and meat. The seafood tasted fresh and not too much breading. I will definitely come back to try their ceviche and more tacos. Also their Agua frescas are delicious and refreshing.
Fresh pressed tortillas on the spot and fresh flavorful food. I dream of their mixed seafood ceviche ($6.50 on a crispy tostada). Shrimp, calamari, octopus, and clam "cooked" in lime juice and aromatics. Have only had ceviche at this restaurant, was hesitant about ordering it, but it is mind blowing. And the seafood texture wasn't raw - also mixed in with other ingredients like onion and crunchy green tomatillo (summer). The fried fish taco ($5.50) is also excellent, not heavily battered or greasy. Served with the most finely shredded cabbage ever on top, an orange mayo drizzle, and salsas with a medium kick. 2 Tacos (or Items) make a good lunch. The Agua de Frescas were very refreshing and not-too-sweet. Got the cucumber & mint ($5.50). Lots of people seem to order the Cocatales with unlimited saltines, but I'm always distracted by the ceviche tostada. I kept wondering WHY the Los Tacos No. 1 franchises taste SO good (like the ones in San Diego) and after speaking to the lovely manager here, they are owned by 3 friends who met at University. One from Tijuana and this company's food is TIJUANA-STYLE. After eating at many places in NYC, Queens, Sunset Park (mostly Puebla Mexican I think); I'm going to stick to Lost Tacos No. 1 and Los Mariscos for my summer seafood craving. Don't mess with unexpected quality elsewhere. The staff is friendly and super efficient. The space is fun and feels like an oceanside-porch with a small bar, a few picnic tables (outdoor shed seating still available), but it gets crowded easily with the line. Music is very loud, soccer game is usually on, cute fish tank at the cash wrap, very clean, nicely designed walls and interior, one single bathroom. The price point is $1-2 higher than what I would normally pay for a taco at a casual place, but the fresh tortilla shells and overall quality of the food is on par with the price. These are elevated tacos.

Came here after dinner and drinks for some drunchies. Sat outside because there wasn't space inside, but the vibes were very casual. Service was fast. - Fish tacos: 8/10 (yummy but.... Found 2 strands of hair in the taco. Thankfully they gave us new ones)

I had a great experience at Los Mariscos today. I ordered: * 2 Fish Tacos * 2 Shrimp Tacos The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The tacos were well-prepared, and the toppings tasted very fresh. I also want to especially thank Fernanda B. for being super kind and helpful. Even though my order was meant for pickup, she personally brought the food out to me, which I really appreciated. Excellent customer service and a very friendly attitude! Los Mariscos is a new favorite hidden spot in Chelsea Market! While it's easy to find if you walk around the side of the market outside and enter through their own door, it's a bit hidden to the left of Los Tacos if you're coming from inside. You order at the counter and they call out your number once the food is ready. I ordered one fish and one shrimp taco with all the regular toppings and shared the fish ceviche tostada with my boyfriend. This was the perfect amount for a fulfilling lunch that didn't feel too heavy. I really enjoyed both tacos and would definitely order both of them again! The tortilla is solid, the fish is hot and fresh, and the cold toppings round out the flavors. If I had to pick a favorite, there's just something about a great fish taco, and this one is done excellently. It's definitely fried, but it still had just enough fish inside. The shrimp is also fried/battered and very tasty; I added a tiny bit of the more mild salsas to most of the bites of each. The fish ceviche tostada was refreshing and I liked that it came with avocado. It tasted fairly fresh, though it was a little less exciting than the tacos. Adding lime definitely compliments the flavor. I'd try a different ceviche next time, but recommend prioritizing the tacos first. Went to Los Mariscos in Chelsea Market (they have their own street entrance off 15th Street) with a friend after a workout class. You order at the counter inside, then can grab a seat either indoors or at one of the covered sidewalk tables--they've made it really casual and easy. I've been here many times, and the food never disappoints. The tacos--especially the shrimp, fish, and spicy shrimp--are consistently fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The guac and chips are also very good. They also have a full bar if you're in the mood for a drink. Perfect spot for a quick, delicious, and affordable meal in the neighborhood. read more

Best fish tacos ever! To be a bit expected though, since this is the sister restaurant of Los Tacos No. 1. It was a bit confusing locating this place; when you see Los Tacos No.1 you have to go outside where you walk down more towards the left, and then you'll see it. We came on a Sunday so Chelsea Market was beyond packed. It took awhile to find an open table outside so we had to walk quite the stretch. It was worth it though! We were looking for a lil snacky snack before our lunch, so we ordered 2 fish tacos and a ceviche especial to share. The fish tacos were perfectly battered. The ceviche especial includes a mix of shrimp, octopus, oyster, clams, and scallops. Soo good!! We also added some hot sauce on top and they were chef's kiss. The most delicious fresh seafood ceviche and tacos! This is the sister restaurant to Los Tacos which always has a huge line in Chelsea market. But tucked away down the hallway is the (IMO) superior taco spot- Los Mariscos which specializes in seafood and generally has a shorter line! The especial ceviche is my favorite thing here. A generous mix of seafood and avocado on top of a crisp tostada with a healthy squeeze of lime- perfection! The crispy fish taco is also delicious, get it with everything on top. read more

It was my friends first time visiting New York and I knew that I had to take her here for their awesome ceviche. It simply does not get fresher than this. We got the shrimp ceviche which comes on a tostada, guac and chips, and a watermelon agua fresca. This definitely hit the spot for both of us and service was fast! Los Mariscos at Chelsea Market is a must try! Although this spot is a little hidden away in the market, it was very popular! The staff was welcoming and the ambiance was very fun with Spanish music playing in the background. I asked what the most popular tacos were so I got one of each: shrimp and fish. Both were delicious and packed in to the tortilla with plenty of toppings! My favorite was the shrimp. I also had a watermelon agua fresca which was refreshing and sweet. For seafood based tacos, Los Mariscos is the place to go! It can get pretty crowded with a bit of a wait for your food, but the wait will be worth it. There is a bar where you can order drinks while you wait for your order as well. Their fish taco is battered and paired with shredded cabbage, pico de gallo and a drizzle of a white sauce. Their fish ceviche on a tostada is fresh with a lime spritz and a few slices of avocado. Everything at Los Mariscos is tasty - and they have multiple hot sauces available to try! read more
It's a nice little vibe in here hidden within Chelsea Market. All the workers are super nice, attentive, and welcoming. We ordered a shrimp ceviche y cóctel de shrimp. The shrimp ceviche on the tostada was CHEF's KISS. A perfect meal at $7. Add a drink and keep it under $10. I would recommend you trying that out. Now the cóctel de shrimp - not good. Did everything taste fresh - yes, but was the flavor LACKING. For sure. I felt like i was drinking tomato juice and shrimp. I would though come here again, just probably skip the cóctel. read more

This healed me. I moved to NYC from San Diego and have been craving a meal like this since I left. It immediately took me back to living in SD. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, I could eat here at least once a week and not get bored. The margarita was also top tier. Haven't had one as good anywhere else in the city. The vibes were also great and everyone who works here was so nice and was absolutely grinding with a never ending stream of orders. Major props to this place. Would 100% recommend. read more
Los Mariscos is an awesome seafood-focused taco joint made by the Los Tacos No. 1 team. If you're a seafood lover, this place features some of the best Mexican seafood in town. The aguachile is incredibly flavorful and refreshing. The fish tacos are exactly how I like them, fresh and crispy. The salsas are great accompaniments as well. Lastly, the tortillas are fresh, vital for a good taco. The place is fairly no-frills and casual. Counter service, and food came out pretty quickly. Prices are pretty reasonable for Manhattan. If you're in Chelsea Market, don't hesitate to check this place out. read more
Brought over some meat tacos from Los Tacos to grab some seafood accompaniments here. Ended up eating here- seats seemed available in waves so we were lucky to grab some at the bar. Food came fast and was cheap. Got 3 tacos: fried fish, fried shrimp, and spicy shrimp. They were all really nice but the fried fish was probably my favorite and ultimately a flavorful, packed taco. The tortillas could be a little sturdier but I didn't even mind. We also got some seafood ceviche. I was shocked by how much seafood came on this crisp for the price. Los Mariscos [4/5] My partner took me to Los Mariscos to try their fish tacos, but we ended up ordering the Especial Ceviche and Pineapple & Celery Aguas Frescas too. This is the sister restaurant to Los Tacos, focusing more on seafood tacos, and is tucked to the side of Chelsea Market. The fish tacos ($4.75) had a thick meaty tender fried fish, which paired nicely with the hot salsa. The Especial Ceviche ($7.50) was interesting, as it was small cut up pieces of shrimp, clam, scallops, and octopus tossed with tomatoes, onions, cilantro on top of a tostada, served with slices of avocado and lime. Not the typical ceviche I'm used to. The Pineapple & Celery Aguas Frescas ($4.50) was refreshing, but I'm not a fan of the celery aftertaste. There were 3 tables, and some bar top areas to seat small groups indoors if you do not want to side outside. read more

I kinda didn't want to leave a review since it's my secret fish taco spot to take visitors lol . Having said that this place rocks! The fish tacos are my favorite followed by Agua Chile green with Shrimps. Btw warning it's FIng spicy. But do gooood. My other go to is fish ceviche, it's a tostada with ceviche on top. Perfect amount of crunch, ceviche, spice and avocado. Don't forget to get a cucumber spicy Margarita. And don't forget to tip nicely to these guys. It's a machine but they make it personal. ~~ask for the free shrimp broth. Thank me later ~~ read more
The Fish Tacos had a lightly breaded fish that was fairly large. It also had plenty of cabbage. The tacos were flavorful and light. There wasn't too long of a wait for food, but on a weekend, it can be hard to find a seat. It was busy and loud in there, but there wasn't a long line. read more
