Birria platter

Came from Las Vegas to visit Grand Rapids and im very satisfied with the Birria Tacos and Birria Pizza here! Very flavorful and the dining area is small but clean.very nice location with that West Coast Cali vibe fo sho! I will most definitely be back for more birria when im in Grand Rapids Michigan

The flavor was great! The ramen birria was amazing! The birria pizza, tacos and burritos are all fantastic! I think my personal fav is the burritos. The cucarachas are also great! The aguachilies were really good. I'm just not used to the way the shrimp are cooked so my own personal texture issues were an issue. The flavor was amazing though! I just cooked them a little more for my own preference. We go here frequently and love it!

I have been wanting to try this place since I have heard of them but unfortunately their hours made it super tough for me. They're only open Thursday-Sunday and close at like 8pm, so every time my friend and I wanted to try, it was always either Tuesday or Wednesday! I think they may have expanded their hours and days, but I'm not sure given he updates a lot via IG and FB. I finally got to go though one Thursday and was happy to make it in! There are only a couple tables inside (a couple outside too, but it was snowy) so it's very much a take and go spot vs dine in. Luckily, someone was leaving as we got our food so we could actually enjoy it warm in house. I knew immediately that I wanted to try the quesabirria ramen special (cup of ramen birria with 3 birria tacos) and that was PLENTY. The owner was super friendly and provided recommendations and everything was absolutely delicious. It isn't the healthiest of options but tasty. A little greasy but not bad at all. It comes with a side of salsa and onions but I just dip my birria into the ramen. I just wish it came with wetnaps or something because I did feel a little messy afterwards. Either way, I'll definitely come back again when I'm craving a birria.

Right now they have a fantastic Thursday special going on where you get eight Birria tacos, and two consumes for $25. I just happened to have a gift certificate for $25 so last Thursday we ordered special on our way to trivia. There was a little confusion at pick up. I guess you can't use gifts certificates for specials, but they were understanding and said they would make an exception this one time. Our food was hot and ready to go. I love the salsa and hot sauce. We probably could've made do with just one bowl of consommé they give so much! The tacos had good amount of meat and cheese in it could do with a little more seasoning. It just seemed a little heavy, and one note, but still very delicious.

It was delicious. Fed our staff at the hospital on a busy weekend. Much needed comfort food

Got to try this place for lunch on a Saturday. There's a small parking lot with some indoor (2 tables) and outdoor seating. Since we were dining in, we ordered the quesabirria and shrimp boil. The portion size was perfect for two people and the birria was tasty without being overpowering or too greasy. It comes with salsa and onions on the side. I was offered a plastic bib for the shrimp boil and was glad I wore it, haha. The shrimp can be messy to pull apart with your hands, unless you like eating the shell/tails. It also comes with corn and sausage. There are paper towels and hand sanitizer available. The service was fast and friendly. In the future, I want to order takeout for a party or event (oysters, crab legs, etc.). Birria pizza and ramen are also on my list for next time!

I am originally from Pennsylvania. I have been here a year. I have eaten a lot of good food while here in Grand Rapids. This guy here his food is at the top of the list. it is always exceptional service. And just a overall awesome vibe. I wanted our meal to be this for our last dinner in Grand Rapids. And this place will definitely be missed. Thanks for having me. V.E.R.S.E.

YUMMMM. This new trend of birria has hit GR in a couple locations and I decided to check out this place first since it is blowing up. As much as I wanted to get the pizza, we went with two orders of the quesabirria taco plate instead because it seemed for appropriate for lunch. These are MESSSSSSSY, but so good! It comes with a cup of consomme, limes, hot sauce, and not nearly enough napkins. I have to give a shout out to that hot sauce - I have no idea if it was homemade or store bought, but it was good! The online ordering process was simple, of course, and the food was ready well before it said it would be. Pickup was a breeze. The price seems steep to me, particularly for lunch. I'll definitely be back for that pizza!

1st time ordering and will get it again in the future! We got the Thursday special with QUESABIRRIAS WITH 2 BROTHS FOR $25. We ordered over the phone and the staff was great over the phone and in person. The food was piping hot with so much meat in each taco. The tacos were cooked to perfection and we really enjoyed them! Will order again!

Finally visited for the first time today. We ordered the quesabirria tacos, and they were STUPIDLY good! The broth for dipping had incredible flavor. The menu also features birria ramen, birria pizza, and several seafood dishes (like augachiles and ceviche) that I cannot wait to try. The restaurant has limited parking and seating, so I'd recommend calling for takeout because they do get busy and sell out, which should tell you everything you need to know about how good the food is. The family who owns the restaurant were all working in the kitchen and were incredibly friendly and hospitable, checking in on us even though they were very busy. Also, my boyfriend kept saying "This is stupid good, what's the point of other foods?" so I think it's safe to say that we'll be back.

Fire! Fire! Fire! Went on a cold cold day. This definitely warmed me up! The Service Tried calling. No one picked up. Been trying to come here for awhile. Figured if they weren't open im going somewhere else in the area. Got to the place, lady at counter greeted us kindly and gave us menus right away to order. Ordered up and an older gentlemen gave us our drinks. Very nice of him, also brought out some super spicy salsa (7/10 Hot). I think the owner, guy in the picture or logo, greeted us too. Nice guy. Overall friendly service. Fast. They were busy. At 3pm. The Food Fire. Ramen was really good. It's good by itself already. But with the Birria? The tacos. Good. Cheesy. Meaty. Crispy. I think it was beef Birria because I didn't taste much goat. I personally like the goat taste more. I think it would've elevated the tacos. Other than that, it's good. The salsas aren't as flavorful or as hot as I would expect from the caliber of the tacos. But it works. If you haven't tried this, please do. You'll enjoy it.

The chicken was absolutely perfectly fryed. I could have eaten a lot more than the wings I had. The batter itself is very tasty too. The spice goes perfectly with their fries too. There's nothing special about the fries themselves but add the crack and they are crack. Lastly I had their blue Koolaid and it was delicious too. The service was a little weird. The cook kept answering my questions from back in the kitchen, but she spoke softly and I could barely hear her. Apparently the cashier overcharged me and they offered to refund that, so they are honest. Everyone was friendly though. It takes about 20 minutes to cook, so beware. Overall a little strange but the food is definitely worth a 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely.

We ordered our cocktails and waited alittle while to get them. Food was overall delicious. But unfortunately my Wagyu NY strip was slightly disappointing. With six pieces of steak - only 4 were eaten. The other two were way too tough and/or fatty. Kind of unfortunate for a $63.00 steak à la carte with no sides. The sides were all delicious. And my husband loved his pasta dish. We took a key lime pie home to go. It was fantastic! The wedge salad was okay - nothing special. This place is obviously popular. And I remember it being so much better last time. I just expect more when we spend so much on our meal. Very noisy but that is the same as before. It is a popular bar spot so I expect the noise. I wish I could say more positive things about our dinner. My cocktail was pretty good! And the macaroni and cheese was pretty amazing.

At first I had some sticker shock on a food truck, but my husband had his heart set on lobster so we went for it. I had the garlic lobster roll, clam chowder, and some tater tots. I'd normally never rank a take-out situation, but this meal was delicious and I have to tell you....TRY IT! The garlic lobster roll was worth every penny. Tots were 'eh' but tater tots are something better when they are crispy hot and fresh. By the time we got home to eat, the tots were sticking to the paper and were just luke warm. We still ate them and they were good. Soup I warmed up because the trip home did the temperature no favors through no fault of Cousins, but only because Michigan winters are basically an ice box. I tried someone else's Salmon and it was delicious also. 2 people got the hanger steak and gave it 5 stars. The prices were reasonable given the quality, freshness and presentation of our dinners. TerraGR: Some Great Dishes, But Overall a Major Disappointment…read more We drove about two hours to see a show and had pretty high expectations after seeing all the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, TerraGR didn't come close to living up to them. The Focaccia ($8) was probably the best thing we had all night. It came highly recommended in previous reviews, and I can see why. The pesto, 'nduja butter, and truffle pecorino worked really well together. At $8, it's a great value and an easy recommendation. Definitely a must-have. The Arancini ($15) were probably our second favorite. Very tasty, with a great gooey cheese center. The Calabrian chili oil, fried basil, hot honey, lemon zest, and ricotta salata all worked well together. Definitely recommend. The Pesto Casarecce ($25) was a completely different story. We honestly questioned the concept of this dish. The combination of pesto cream, fennel sausage, peas, garlic breadcrumbs, and Parmesan was just baffling to us. We ate maybe half of the dish and simply didn't want any more. The Scallops ($34) were disappointing as well. I skipped the jalapeño, and while the scallops themselves were cooked very well, the roasted corn, poblano, and chorizo mixture was cold. That was just a strange combination and really took away from the dish. I think it would be significantly better if that component were served warm. I did bite into several pieces of rock-hard chunks of something in the dish. My guess is chorizo which was extremely off-putting. The scallops were also a little too salty. At $34, the price felt excessive for what was served. The Short Rib Gnocchi ($28) was actually very good. The short rib ragu, potato gnocchi, and truffle pecorino worked really well together. Would recommend. The Brix soda was another head-scratcher. Just why? We didn't enjoy it at all. I understand it's local but just no. And then there was the Spiced Cranberry Martini. Unless you like unusual, heavy spice flavors that remind you of Jägermeister, do not order this. It was by far the worst martini I've ever had. I even mentioned to our waitress that I thought it was awful, and there was zero response. Service itself was fine. We were seated immediately, and the food came out promptly and at good temperatures. Our waitress wasn't particularly memorable, though, and I would have expected at least some acknowledgment when I mentioned how bad the cocktail was. The parking situation was also an absolute nightmare, which didn't exactly get the evening off to a great start. Overall, the appetizers were head and shoulders above the mains. The focaccia and arancini were genuinely excellent, and the short rib gnocchi was good. But we would not order the scallops or Pesto Casarecce again. Sadly, we were very disappointed with the overall experience. We came in with high expectations because of the near-perfect reviews, drove two hours for the evening, and ultimately felt that TerraGR was very overrated. There were definitely some good dishes, but the overall experience simply didn't live up to the hype. We did get to sit outside which was great.
