Yesterday was the the first time eating there. The waiter was a 7 out of 10, the food was good, 9 out of 10, the cashier and the hostess that showed us to our table need a lesson in public relations, no smile, and the hostess kept trying to move us to another table but was not sur, ignoring us looking around to see if there was some other place.. then we went to buy bread at the panadería and the two women there must have been related to the two st the restaurant, equally rude, no customer relations at all. My best friend and I have been loyal customers for years. Today they just lost our patronage. Half way through our meal we ordered a burrito to go, it so happens the waitress never put the order in. After waiting for quite a while, we spoke to what looked like the owner/manager and let him know that we haven't received our to go order. He supposedly put the order in. Again we waited and no to go order came out. By this time we are furious, we went to pay for our meal and ask about the to go order. There is no record of our request. The owner/manager didn't have the balls to speak with us about them messing up. The cashier states they were making it, which was the straw that broke the camels back. We left without our order. It used to be my go to for good Mexican food. Unfortunately, the service kept going down. A good part of the waitress staff is so self-absorbed and clueless you wonder how they keep their job. Went for lunch around 11. Friends had told me to skip it, but I had come before for menudo and it was ok. I wanted to give them a try for lunch. I love going to local places and was willing to give lunch a try. When we walked in we waited a few minutes to be seated, no big deal. Got seated and waited five minutes for a server to take our order. Waited 15 min. And waited another 10 min. Other tables who arrived after us got served their food and we waited some more. Our server would rush past us avoiding eye contact Finally flagged our server down for more chips and salsa. The salsa was spicy but good, the chips which came in a tiny bowl tasted burnt. After 15 more minutes he brings out one plate. By this time the two tables who were seated after us had finished and paid. Another 10 minutes pass and he brings out my son's plate. Never offered to refill our drink glasses so we had to flag him down again. The place was busy, but many servers were congregated around the kitchen area talking and having a good time. Tacos and gorditas shouldn't take 40-50 minutes to be served! The server never asked how we were doing, but hovered over other tables, I guess if they know you, you get better service. The food was good other than the rice and beans being lukewarm. The one star is for service. There is never a good excuse to ignore your customers but it seems this place is darn good at doing that! Tried it, not coming back, Los Jarrones you all need to train your staff on customer service, but after reading other reviews for the same issue, I doubt you will. read more

Their food was AWFUL!!! Chile relleno tasted old, rice was hard and dry and the meat in the gordita had no flavor. It was absolutely DISGUSTING!!!! This was my second time there, food wasn't that good the first time either but everyone deserves a second chance... they blew it. I will NEVER go back. I don't recommend this place at all. Good menudo. Good balance of meat and hominy. My only complaint was the over buttered and soggy bread that accompanied the menudo

I have been here a couple of times to try different food on the menu, but every time the food is BAD. The menudo is incredible disgusting, my wife had to order something else that's how bad it was. The service could be better all I saw was 2 servers for the whole restaurant. read more

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE TRYING THIS RESTAURANT. I don't do this often. I am a GM at a restaurant and it is always frustrating to get poor reviews when you work hard at your job. However, this place has the worst customer service. You feel like you are inconveniencing the employees by being there. It was just two of us eating, and it was a full restaurant, with maybe a five minute wait. We were ignored when we walked in. And a couple that came in a few minutes after us were obviously regulars and were helped before us. Not acceptable. Once we were actually sat, it took about 10 minutes to be greeted. Our server, rude. Barely acknowledged us. Didn't even look at us while taking the order.. was looking around talking to other employees. Unacceptable...the food was substandard and cold and took more than 30 minutes. When we tried to pay, again ignored we ended up just leaving the money on the counter and not even getting our change. Horrible service. The waitresses were extremely clumsy and extremely rude. I has to ask for a plate to go three times and the waitress, for some strange reason, refused to give me a plate to go. I had to literally get up and get it myself. Also, we arrived at almost closing time and they were eager for us to leave. They even closed the window blinds on us. Only giving this place one star because I am not able to leave 0. Used to enjoy the original restaurant that wasn't so fancy or big. We went the first weekend the place was open and had terrible service. Rude hostess and unprofessional waiters. The place is too big to have 3 waiters. Tried again today (less than 2 weeks later) and even worse service. Literally stared the waiter In the eyes to see if he would sit us and nothing. Finally sat ourselves after 10 mins of waiting. Took another 5-10 mins for a waitress to approach and take our drink order. Came back without drinks and got a food order. Food came out cold and we were still waiting for our drinks. Our 2 year old son had a melt down since his never came. We returned our food and of course never saw a manager to see if they could fix the problem. Very excited to visit new location last Thursday night. having been open only a few days, I didn't expect what I found. It was not full with quite a few tables empty. We waited over 30 minutes for our margaritas. No explanation. The waiter kept asking if we wanted to order.I kept saying we would like our drinks first. Finally we were told they had to make some more mix Could of mentioned that earlier so we could have changed our drink order. Come on guys. This is a Mexican restaurant. Were you not expecting margaritas to be ordered? Get a real bartender. The Coctel de Camornes was excellent as always. I ordered the shrimp fajitas. The waiter forgot sour cream and guacamole. No biggie. The manager apologized and brought it right away and also apologized for the drink mix up. The shrimp still had the tails on them!! If i would have ordered chicken, would I have had to pull the meat off the bone? By this time I didn't feel like even bothering to bring it to the manager's attention. Sorry you spent so much money to build a big fancy place and staffed it with inexperienced and incompetent help. They have the best Juevos Rancheros that I've had in a few years. They have a surprising amount of Seafood items too Better prices then at Delicias up the street also. Great to see reasonably priced (unlike places like Avilas with jacked up prices) authentic Mexican food. The rest of the menu and entrees I saw looked great.y friend had excellent fajitas for $9.99. The bakery that is attached has great, authentic Mexican pastries too. Only open to 8:00 so I wish they were open later. That is my only issue with this place though read more

Great shrimp cocktails - loaded with shrimp. Menudo is good. Green enchiladas are really excellent. I go about 3 - 4 times a month because it's so close to work. Service could use some work but overall pretty good. read more

My husband and I got food poisoning here. I also saw a waitress sweep packets of condiments into the dust pan and took them out to put them back when she realized they were unopened. The food is excellent. Unfortunatelly I do not eat there anymore. We are a mixed race family (Caucasian and African American) . Every time we have gone to Los Jarrones others who were there after us got seated ahead of us. Once seated we are not given menus until we ask for them several times. People who were seated after us, have their food served LONG before our food comes out. If we need drink refills we have to ask repeatedly and prepare to wait again. We dined at Los Jarrones about twice a month over the course of a year and were treated the same way Each and Every time. We really like the food so we used to put up with the BLATANT racism. At some point I told my husband that great tasting food was not worth the prejedist treatment we were receiving and we stopped eating there. It's a shame because the food is great!! I've been coming here for several years, don't get me wrong, the food is good and in my own opinion it is the most authentic around this area hence the reason I keep on coming back. The only thing is that the staff is veeerrryyyy ruuuudddeee!!! Every time my family suggests coming here, I have to think about it twice not because of the food, but because of the low quality in customer service. I am a customer service consultant and trust me when I say that it gets to me even worst then any other customer that expects good service. I don't know if the owners are aware of it or if they just don't care since people keep on coming back but trust me, I will rather go elsewhere where servers and staff are nicer even if the food is not of the same quality. Also, when ever they are packed (which is almost every time), they don't have anybody attending the door to at least acknowledge that you came in. I've seen how customers just stand there and if it's their first time, they will turn around and leave since they don't know that waiting is the best thing they can do to get a table.
