Even with a GPS, this place was still tricky to find. Why? Well, if you're driving along side the gateway (like you do), it's kinda tough to see the one sign that's way up in the air whilst you're driving. It also doesn't help that there's absolutely no sign on the actual building. Damn near rear-ended the guy in front of me. But luckily, I have cat-like reflexes and a bad ass braking system. Wait. I'm getting off track here. Let's discuss the nearly catastrophic dining experience we witnessed last night, shall we? Overall, I'd say the two things that saved the place from a bottom-of-the-barrel review were the booze and the decorum. Seriously, the decorations were stellar and the wine was quite good. Hey, I'm never one to not give credit where credit is due. But this is where the compliments cease. I should point out that we were actually here for a work related event. Which meant the menus were condensed for budgetary reasons and to help expedite the night. Now that I've got that disclaimer out of the way, we can discuss the service and execution of said food. There were 3 main courses to choose from: a chicken dish, a shrimp dish, and the steak...which the wife and I very dubiously chose. I mean, I wanted the chicken, except they served the sides with rice on top of mashed potatoes. Who does that?! I'll just get this out of the way now. The steak tasted like well seasoned rubber. You read that correctly. Although the steak itself was almost perfectly seasoned, they had to ruin it by maintaining the consistency of a spare tire. Every single time I tried to cut into this disgrace of a sirloin, my entire plate would move from side-to-side. You know your dish is f*cked up when the sides are better. The baked potato was pretty good...once I finally got the waitress to bring me their in-house made sour cream. That's another thing. The service here was pretty awful. Inattentive, dismissive servers which I had to bellow out whatever was left of my already fading voice just to request more Cabernet or, God forbid, salsa for the chips. Yeah....the traditional tortilla chips they brought out came without the salsa. When the salsa finally DID arrive, it was by far the spiciest salsa I've ever had in my life! Seriously. It felt like I was receiving third degree burns on my tongue. This is also one of those places that automatically adds 15% gratuity to the bill once the party hits 8 or more. There was about 40 of us. Needless to say, I didn't feel the need to leave an additional tip. Would have been redundant, plus the service was that of an inept, disgruntled employee who just received their pink slip before shift. Btw, I looked at the rest of their menu to see if I'd ever return and try something that wasn't available on this evening. But since it's apparent they can't cook a steak to save their lives, I wouldn't dare try the rib eye. One guy got the shrimp plate and even I could see from five seats down that shit was burnt to a crisp. Like I said, if it wasn't for the booze and the fact that this restaurant actually has a really inviting dining room, they'd likely rate bottom-of-the-barrel for me. So, Cuñado's gets 2 fried shrimp scorched beyond recognition out of 5.

Really great food, super authentic from Mexico. This is not Tex-Mex I repeat not Tex-Mex, this is authentic Mexican food. The mole was some of the best that I've ever had, the sopes were delicious as well as the posole. Too many great things to mention on the buffet but do yourself a favor and come see this spectacular couple and enjoy their delicious food. The music was exceptional, and the service was outstanding. We hosted an event for a hundred people and had rented the entire restaurant which was an excellent idea and we were certainly happy as well as all of our guests too.

If you are an outsider and or NEW to the 915 and you're interested in a good tasting Mexican buffet, this is the place. Located next to I-10 East, Loa Cuñados provides you a taste of Mexico and Southwest. You have enough parking in front and on the side. The bathrooms are very clean and the aesthetics of the eating area are eye pleasing. You have different serving areas with traditional foods. You have a barbacoa taco area (not American BBQ). Scrambled eggs and or cooked to your style via your server. You can find a fruit and yogurt area with traditional Mexican food like gorditas, carnitas, mole, chicharron in green sauce, chicken fajitas, squash, fried shrimp, chilaquiles, Menudo (not the band from the 80's) or pozole, all the salsas and fixings needed to enjoy these foods and etc. Its priced above others in El Paso yet worth the price.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is fabulous. Very clean. Great music. What a great way to spend a Sunday after church.

Without a doubt the best new Mexican Restaurant in El Paso. Great atmosphere. Terrific food. Amazing live music. Very clean. My new favorite place to dine. This is why I live in El Paso. The Hispanic community is so full of love, family, and having a great time celebrating life. Don't miss this place. It will be an El Paso legacy.

OMG. I have a one word review. Pathetic. I don't know if they offer menu service so this review is for the breakfast buffet only. Without question this was the worst excuse for a Mexican breakfast I have had in the city of Mexican Food. It was bland and tasteless. The offerings were limited. The plate appeal was non existent and I'm shocked, shocked That the parking lot was crowded. I'm convinced the 5 star reviews were written by momma. I still can't believe we drove miles out if our way to try this joint. And the cruelest cut of all was the very high price. Sad to say the best part of the meal was the free glass of ice water. With so many other options nearby including Julios just a block down the road I fear this joint won't make it past New Years unless they make serious changes. I certainly won't be back. Nor will anyone who asks me about it.

From the moment I stepped into The Glazy -- where the air itself seemed perfumed with promise and…read moresugar -- I knew this was no ordinary donut stop. This was sacred ground. A place where yeast and glaze converge to whisper the secrets of the universe. This isn't hyperbole; this is truth glazed in strawberry reduction. I ordered what would soon become the chocolate chip of mythic confectionary lore: the strawberry shortcake donut -- a creation so superlative I could feel its impact before the first bite even touched my lips. One taste and the world snapped into dazzling focus. The soft, fluffy pillow of dough was so perfect it felt like I had bitten into a cloud that had trained its whole life to be delicious. The sweet tang of strawberry shortcake kissed my senses, and I swear I saw the cosmos shimmer. That donut didn't just taste good. It reprogrammed my brain. Before Glazy, I was aimless, living a quiet and predictable life. After that donut: I sought therapy. Not because I was broken -- but because I needed help integrating the profound existential shift that occurred when I understood that donuts could taste like this. My therapist now calls me "a glazed scholar with purpose." And it didn't stop there. I changed careers. Yes, I traded spreadsheets for sociology textbooks because I had to understand humanity. Why was this donut so transformative? What about its structure, composition, and cultural meaning could explain how a simple sweet turned a person's life inside out? My colleagues call me "the Donut Theorist." My students ask if every lecture will include pastry metaphors. I say yes. Always yes. This isn't just a review. This is a testament to how one donut, one perfect strawberry shortcake experience at The Glazy revolutionized my cognitive framework and life trajectory. Would I return? With my new doctorate? Absolutely.

Having recently moved to El Paso from Montréal, a city teeming with quality pastry shops…read more(especially french pâtisseries), I was on the lookout for a competent pastry shop here in town as soon as I landed. My first discovery was Belle Sucre, which, while struggling ever so slightly with actual french pastries (and french grammar, "sucre," a masculine noun, being "beau," not "belle"), excels at putting a french twist on american desserts. My second discovery was Orange Peel, a pastry shop that could stand toe-to-toe with Montreal's more eclectic (and less traditional) pastry shops (e.g., Pâtisserie Rhubarbe), were it to spontaneously relocate there. Inside this diminutive (but oh so quaint) pastry shop stands a refrigerated glass display filled with triple-threat confections that a) are simultaneously playful and homey in appearance, b) demonstrate exquisite texture (a feat made all the more surprising by the fact that many of the confections are gluten-free), and c) feature creatively combined and expertly balanced flavours that bring into play natural aromas and just enough sweetness. (Indeed, in a rare show of restraint for an american dessert establishment, sweetness is here kept on a leash, letting instead aromas come to the forefront of the flavour experience.) Although pastries on offer change regularly, they always come across as completely thought-through and carefully put-together, as if the recipes had been worked on and perfected over years. Indeed, there is an effortless quality to how the one single chef behind Orange Peel comes up with and executes new recipes, one that testifies to the extent of her pastry passion, knowledge, and skills. To top it all off, she is extremely friendly and always a joy to talk to and discuss her work with. Fortement recommandé!
