    The New York yankee

Jason's deli after Jurassic Park Dominion. Close by and just down the street from the theater. I felt like I wanted something out of my element..so I chose the New York Yankee sandwich. A full sandwich with hot corned beef and pastrami topped with melted Swiss cheese on marble rye. This sandwich was a monster! I picked the smaller half to chow down cause I wanted to leave room for ice cream... the other half, I took home to enjoy later. I love sandwiches and now with Mcalisters open, I got a good rotation going..

Half special. Santa Fe sandwich + broccoli cheese soup

I like coming here for lunch. This place is spacious so you'll never have to wait for getting seated. Also I like that they never take too long for cooking. It's very important when you have a limited lunch time! Santa Fe sandwich is great! Chicken is tender and has a little bit of smokey flavor. If you get the half lunch special, you can get a soup as a side. Their salad bar is awesome too! Aaaand they have free ice cream.. How can you NOT love a place where you can eat ice cream as much as you want after eating, you know?!?!

Came to lunch with family and after the Christmas indulgence behaved with salad bar and tortilla soup. My girlfriend had the Papa Verde and son hot dog with fruit. The salad bar was clean and the only protein in the bar was bacon and hard boiled eggs. You had many dressings and fixings such as pudding, egg salad. Muffins. The potato had avocado, green jalapeno dressing, spinach and turkey. The hot dog was a hot dog. The salad bar items were fresh. The building was clean and bathrooms immaculate. One issue was the smell of drainage by the bar but overall good experience. Finally, you can have free ice cream cone. Final cost with drinks 27.

    Look for this place!

Though I've lived in cities with Jason's Deli before, I'm not very familiar with this chain, but as always I'm happy when chains that are new to El Paso come to town. For my first Jason's Deli experience I chose to try a Reuben (Reuben The Great), as it is the sandwich I judge all delis by, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The first thing I noticed is that the sandwich looked just like in the pictures, which almost never happens anywhere, it was absolutely stacked with yummy corned beef and sauerkraut, and the best part is that the sandwich didn't fall apart as I bit into it. I can honestly say its the best Reuben I've had in El Paso. Another great feature of this place is the free soft-serve, FREE SOFT SERVE! Plus free wi-fi, FREE WI-FI! The folks working there are very friendly and helpful. Right now the lines are a little long because the place is new, but the line moved quickly and you won't wait a long time for your meal. There's plenty of seating space in the dining room, so please don't be the jerk that goes and takes a table while someone else orders the food, you may think you're clever, but everyone else secretly hates you. Check it out!

One of our favorite places to eat.

It became a special treat for our family while visiting our Tía in home hospice--and one of her last, most joyful bites. Food and our family's recipes are at the heart of who we are, so hearing my Tía Emma call it "magnificent" meant everything. While, we didn't dine in, we noted the atmosphere struck the right balance of upscale bar and grill on our two visits. Please note, this place get packed on weekend nights. As we were seated our waiter took 10 min to great us and then another 12 min to bring our drinks. I didn't think anything of it yet it was a precursor to the rest of our dinner. After he took our order our kids food came out in a very timely fashion but our two orders of salmon and one steak sandwich took 40 min to arrive at the table. What a ridiculous waste of my time because my sandwich was missing the fries ordered and our waiter thought nothing of it till I brought it up then he took another 10 min to bring my fries. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.

I ordered the Banh Mi bowl with roasted chicken, but unfortunately the chicken was missing from the order. The salad itself actually had really good flavor even without the chicken and dressing, which surprised me, but I was still disappointed that the order wasn't prepared correctly. I also ordered the tortilla soup, which unfortunately wasn't my favorite. It was a bit too salty for my taste. That said, the ingredients in the bowl seemed fresh and the flavors were promising, so I'd be willing to give it another try. Next time I'll probably walk in and order in person when I'm in the mood for a salad.

It's not your traditional beef stew, it's Caldo de Res. I also had the Tunacado Toast. That was the second star of the show for me. I'm definitely getting that again but I want to see if they can more avocado. I think it has balsamic vinaigrette tossed with the tuna. It was so tasty. Only issue was I couldn't taste the avocado and you couldn't tell any was on it. I also got the Chicken avocado wrap with feta instead of cheddar. That was pretty good, if I get that again I would ask for half the dressing. It was a lil too much for me. That's just me though because I don't use much dressing on my salad. The serving size was good. I was surprised to see how big it was. I definitely recommend trying this place out. Oh I also tried their cucumber lemonade, that was delicious! Get a large!
