I came to lunch with a friend. She ordered a salad and I got the chicken Avocado wrap. I really like the concept and the freshness of the ingredients. And I guess it's difficult for the "leaf" area to stay tidy during a lunch rush, but I wish it was just a little cleaner in the sense of ingredients being spilled everywhere. They also didn't work very efficiently. Since my friend and I came in together, one person took our orders. And it's an assembly line. Instead of him taking her order and the next person taking mine, etc. He took hers, went down the assembly line, so now I'm waiting while other people who were in line after me get their food made and pay before I can. And not only that, now my friend gets her food and is sitting by herself eating (because she needs to get back to work soon) and I'm waiting for this gentleman to restart the assembly line around everyone else trying to make other orders. And to top things off, he moved SO SLOW! The food was pretty good and big serving sizes. I don't think the flavor profile was that remarkable, and I really did not like that the ends of my wrap were open. It made it pretty messy and difficult to handle without all the insides falling out. The food is great but their service needs to change. They need to follow chipotle, or subway line service. One person from start to finish takes a long time. I know it's for food safety, but most of the food is already all over. They are bumping to each other and seemed confused all the time. They should have one person in each station like most if not all line restaurants do. There are 4 employees 7 people in line waiting. The wait is about 20 min. After hearing about this great salad place called Verde on a Facebook foodie group, I figured I'd give it a shot and I'm glad I did! This place is great! Over the course of a week & a half, I've visited three times (the Zaragoza location that doesn't seem to appear on Yelp) and haven't been disappointed yet. Visit #1 I ordered the Spicy Taco Salad with the recommended ancho ranch dressing & arrachera steak. Delicious! The steak was super tasty and so tender I cut it with my fork! Highly recommended. Also tried the chicken tortilla soup and this was a BIG hit! One of the best tortilla soups I've had. Yummy! Visit #2 I ordered the Buffalo Salad with the recommended buttermilk ranch & crispy Buffalo chicken. Very good also but the bar was set super high with the spicy taco salad and this wasn't as good in my opinion. Still, I will probably get it again at some point & recommend it. Also tried the beef stew which did not disappoint. Lots of veggies and big chunks of lean, tender, tasty beef. A good choice on a chilly day. Visit #3 I ordered the Asian Grain Bowl with the recommended sesame sriracha dressing & crispy teriyaki chicken. Different from the salads with the rice, quinoa and cabbage base but just as tasty. Another really good option offered on the menu. Also tried the chicken zoodle (zucchini noodles) soup and its good too but in my opinion comes in third to the tortilla soup & beef stew. All of these meals have the option to pair with with a very refreshing cucumber lemonade or a sun brewed lemon tea. I've searched & searched for a quality salad place in El Paso with hardly any luck, until a friend recommended this place. I am so glad they did! The restaurant itself absolutely adorable. Totally the place you want to meet up with your girlfriends for a bite post workout (or shopping). If you're not meeting up with friends, you can stop in and order your meal or easily place a to-go order online for curbside pickup or takeout. Their meal portions are generous. Hello freshness! Every single ingredient here looked so beautifully fresh and perfect! I ordered the Bahn Mi salad bowl with lemon pepper shrimp ($5 extra), per recommendation. I came here for lunch with my mom today to try and feel good by eating a salad. As a first timer Verde Salad wasn't so bad. I did take off one star because apparently they changed their menu. I wanted seared yellow fin tuna from what I saw on their old menu on yelp but come to find out they only have "wild caught" salmon now as a fish selection. They need to bring back the seared tuna again. Well, my mom ordered her salad with shrimp on her Bánh mi bowl and I had the wild salmon on my sesame sriracha bowl. I'll be honest the salad bowls are HUGE and they are definitely delicious. The girls making the salads were very polite and seemed to be hustling to make salads for their customers following all sanitary measures. To add to our salads we got the chicken tortilla soup and it was to die for delicious!!! I can't really say much of their lemonade tea because in my opinion it was very bland.... but others may find the lemon tea quiet pleasant. I discovered this place on Uber Eats. I was craving something healthy and their menu pictures looked yummy. You pick a salad which already comes with the recommend dressing on the side - approx. $8, and then you add a protein which is around $3-5. So you're spending around $13 for a salad. I'm not gonna lie, it's a little pricey, yes. Especially when you're used to salad buffets - which are almost nonexistent since this whole pandemic started. Anyway, it's all good because the salad is huge, and the protein amount is a big amount (I can only speak for chicken, I haven't tried the other proteins from here yet). I am a foodie, listen to me when I tell you that this salad is so big, it's hard to finish. I have tried the farmhouse salad with pesto chicken, the Buffalo bowl salad with grilled Buffalo chicken, and the Buffalo bowl salad with crispy Buffalo chicken. My favorite is the Buffalo bowl with crispy Buffalo chicken, because you get to satisfy that hot wing crave, while also stuffing your face with greens. I especially love that the salad is fresh. The greens are crisp, the veggies are not soggy or mushy. The variety in the salad is great, and the added crunch gives great texture. I love the salads and warm grain bowls! My favorite is the al pastor grain bowl with al pastor chicken! I love that you can substitute (I hate onions and love avocado so I always sub). The portion is amazing, you can literally make two meals out of the bowl. They have salads and bowls to choose from or you can customize your own. Healthy and delicious. There was also an issue on Monday where they accidentally gave me a salad instead of a bowl and I wasn't able to go back because I was on my lunch break and work far so Carina asked me to go in another day of the week and gave me the correct order and apologized for the mistake and over all gave AMAZING customer service and thanked me for going back to them. I'm glad to see healthier food options popping up in El Paso. I really enjoyed coming to this new spot! I'm even surprised on how packed it was the day I went! The salads from here are delicious and fresh! I read the Yelp reviews before going to Verde Salad. They currently have a five-star rating (and with good reason!). The quantity of the large I ordered was HUGE! It could easily be three or four servings. With the large, they let you pick seven toppings! You still get a base, bread and protein! They also have frozen yogurt, soups and cucumber lemonade. I didn't try the yogurt or soup yet. I was thinking of getting one or the other but I was too full from the salad. Next time I'd like to try their tortilla soup and yogurt. I got a cucumber lemonade with Splenda. It was delish! They also have regular cucumber lemonade and tea, along with other drink choices. The place was super clean. The staff was also friendly and helpful. I paid $13 for the salad and lemonade. Not bad at all for the quantity and quality. I'll definitely be back soon! These salads are much better than the ones they offer at fast food joints. I know you can make them at home too but it's not quite the same. Great salads! My husband tried Joe's recommendation of a combination of the Mexican Ceasar and the buffalo salad and it was a hit! It should be added to the menu, Rafa! I had the Bahn Mi and it is so delicious it satisfies my asian cravings in a healthy manner. Also do the whole lemon on the salad instead of half.
